Aim: The aim of this study was to examine the effect of menstrual pain severity on body awareness, physical activity level, and sensory organization in women. Method: Women aged 18-30 years with menstrual pain were included in the study. Participants were divided into three groups as mild (n=47), moderate (n=28) and severe (n=18) menstrual pain-groups according to visual analog scale. The Body Awareness Questionnaire (BAQ) and the International Physical Activity Questionnaire–short form (IPAQ) were administered to the participants. Somatosensory, visual and vestibular sensory organizations of the participants were analyzed using computerized dynamic posturography. All assessments were administered during menstruation. The purpose of the present study is to compare individuals with and without vertigo who have experienced COVID-19 in terms of their psychological, emotional, sleep quality, and concerns about the possibility of falls. A total of 30 individuals were included in the study, including the case group with 15 subjects who were diagnosed with vertigo with past COVID-19, and the control group with 15 subjects who had past COVID-19 and were not diagnosed with vertigo. Video baş itme testi (vHIT), vestibüler sistem değerlendirilmesinde kullanılan bir test bataryasıdır. Çalışmamızın amacı fiziksel yönden büyük değişimlerin yaşandığı adölesanlarda semisirküler kanal fonksiyonunun vHIT bataryası ile normatif değerlerinin hesaplanmasıdır. Bu çalışmada sağ ve sol kulaktaki lateral, anterior ve posterior olmak üzere 3 semisirküler kanalda başın bulunduğu düzlemdeki ani rotasyonuyla göz hareketlerindeki cevapları ölçülmüştür. Baş hareketleriyle meydana gelen uyarının göz hareketlerindeki cevaba oranı hesaplanarak vestibulooküler refleks(VOR) kazanç değerleri elde edilmiştir. Çalışmamız Turgut Özal Üniversitesi Odyoloji ve Konuşma Bozuklukları Ünitesinde yapılmış olup 11-18 yaş aralığında 50 erkek ve 50 kız olmak üzere toplam 100 birey katılmıştır. Tüm bireylerin yaşları ortalaması 14,99 olup kız bireylerin yaşları ortalaması 14,62 erkek bireylerin yaşları ortalaması ise 15,36'dır. Çalışmamıza saf ses işitme eşikleri normal, Tip A timpanograma sahip, herhangi akut ya da kronik vestibüler hikâyesi olmayan gönüllü bireyler dâhil edilmiştir. Ayrıca çalışmamıza katılan tüm bireylere baş dönmesi engellilik anketi doldurtuldu. Çalışmamızda, vHIT Otometrics ICS Impulse A/S Taastrup, Danimarka cihazı ile gerçekleştirdiğimiz vHIT değerlendirmeleri sonucunda lateral kanal VOR kazanç değerleri ortalaması 0.96, anterior kanal VOR kazanç değerleri ortalaması 0.89, posterior kanal VOR kazanç değerleri ortalaması 0.87 olup normal değer aralığında bulundu. Lateral kanal asimetri değerleri ortalaması %7.63, anterior kanal asimetri değerleri ortalaması %17.35, posterior kanal asimetri değerleri ortalaması %17.23 olup normal değer aralığında bulundu. Sonuç olarak vHIT test bataryası adölesan dönem bireylerinde kullanımı kolay, hızlı ve pratik bir test yöntemidir.Anahtar SözcüklerAdölesan; vHIT; semisirküler kanal; VOR; normatif data Video Head Impulse Test (vHIT) is a test battery used in the evaluation of the vestibular system. This study aims at calculating the normative values of semi-circular channel function through vHIT in adolescents who undergo great physical changes. The responses of eye movements to sudden rotation of the head on its plane in the channels of the ears – namely, lateral, anterior and posterior channels- were measured in this study. The ratio of stimulants occuring as a result of head movements to the responses in eye movements was calculated and the values for vestibuloocular reflex (VOR) gain were found. The study was conducted in the Audiology and Speech Disorders department of Turgut Ozal University with the participation of 100 individuals in the 11-18 age range. The average age of the group was 14.99 and the average age was 14.62 for the girls while it was 15.36 for the boys. Volunteering individuals who had normal pure audio hearing threshold with type A timpanogram and who did not have any acute or chronic vestibular history were included in the research. Besides, all the participants were asked to complete a questionnaire on dizziness disability. In consequence of vHIT analyses performed with vHIT Otometrics ICS Impulse A/S Taastrup, Denmark device, it was found that the average for lateral channel VOR gain values was 0.96, for anterior channel VOR gain was 0.89, for posterior channel VOR gain was 0.87; and they were all within acceptable intervals. The average for lateral channel asymetry values was 7.63%, for anterior channel asymetry values was 17.35 %, and for posterior channel asymetry values was 17.23; and they were all within normal intervals.
