The Higher Education Commission in Pakistan and China is are responsible to check that all educational institutes of Pakistan comply with the Quality Assurance Framework (QAF). Work distribution, access to the digital library and the number of PhD faculty members in the institutes, are important for Higher Educational Institutes (HEIs) because they directly influence on quality of academic education and services being provided to the students. Mixed method approach is adopted. Quantitative results were obtained by carrying out survey in Pakistan while qualitative results were obtained through literature review. This research makes use of quantitative approach and investigates four different HEIs of Pakistan. The questionnaire was divided into three sections: 1) Role of work distribution; 2) access to the digital library; and 3) the number of Faculty members in the PhD faculty. A critical review was carried out for investigating the quality of HEIs in China because survey accessibility issues were faced when adopting quantitative approach. Analysis showed that most of the QAFs in Pakistan were weak in all three factors. Yet China had a better score when compared to Pakistan showing good work distribution; high number of digital libraries; and an adequate number of PhD faculty members.

Leadership strategies of principals in educational institutes is considered an important factor in order to increase support and rewards. Universities in Pakistan suffer from the problems of low support and rewards, due to which most of the teachers and management staff members remain dissatisfied with their principals. This study investigated whether transformational or transactional leadership is better for providing support and rewards to teachers and management staff, along with evaluation of principles' leadership qualities. For that, 5-point Likert scale questionnaire was utilised to assess the performance of principals by investigating 75 management and 75 teachers of 3 universities of Pakistan. Critical review approach was used for comparison between Pakistan and Australia. It was found that transformational leadership is much better as compared to transactional leadership, because it improves interaction and support, as observed in Australia. However, teachers and management staff members in Pakistan reported dissatisfaction, when asked about leadership role of their principals. They said that their principals never motivate them, support them nor reward them in contrast to leadership approaches in Australia.

Whole genome duplication plays a significant role in plant genome evolution by providing raw materials that can be modified by natural or artificial selection. Nucleotide binding site leucine rich repeat receptor (NLRs) like other gene families are clusters of genes created by duplication and their size reflects the number of duplicated genes. NLR genes encode immune receptors that facilitate identification and binding of effector compounds produced by pathogen as a part of effector triggered immunity (ETI). The accurate identification and characterization of NLR genes substantially contributes to the repertoire of resistance and improves production. The ancestors of Fabaceae family have underwent whole genome duplication (WGD) approximately 58.5 million years ago. In this study, we focused on the subsequent effects of WGD on the evolution of NLR genes within the Vicioid clade, which consists of various legume crops such as chickpea, clover, alfalfa, and pea. The Vicioid clade is divided into three major tribes: Cicereae, Fabeae, and Trifolieae. The analysis of 22 species from the Vicioid clade revealed an overall contraction of the NLRome (the complete set of NLR genes) in members of the Cicereae and Fabeae tribes. This contraction aligns with previous observations that WGD events are often followed by diploidization, leading to a reduced number of duplicated genes. Contrary to this contraction trend, tribe Trifolieae have shown large scale expansion of NLRome irrespective to their genome size. Additionally, the primary diversification of relatively conserved NLR gene subclasses, including helper genes (CCR-NLR) and CCG10-NLR, was reported. Comprehensive evolutionary analysis suggests that NLRome expansion have occurred in during recent 1-6 Mya probably due to their higher substitutions per site per year in Trifolieae. We further hypothesized that this higher rate directed accelerated gene duplications after speciation from their common ancestor and later gene conversion and asymmetric recombination played an active role in subgroup diversification.

Heart failure (HF) is a growing major public health and economic concern in the United States and worldwide. Heart failure mortality rates can be as high as 75% despite advances in therapies. HF is expected to be the fastest growing among all cardiovascular diseases, with HF-associated direct medical costs projected to nearly double over the next 10 years. Hospital admissions, re-admission, and medical cost are a huge burden to the healthcare system, and this is estimated to have increased gradually over the past decades despite the available advances in HF treatment and prevention. Many heart failure therapies have shown improvement in terms of mortality, morbidity, and symptomatic management. Guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT) for heart failure has proven its ability to reduce morbidity and mortality by 66%. GDMT is recommended to be used among all HF patients when appropriate. In recent years, two new drug classes, angiotensin receptor-neprilysin inhibitor (ARNi) and sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 (SGLT-2) inhibitors, were approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) for the management of heart failure. The exact mechanism by which the SGLT-2 inhibitors attenuate the inflammatory process remains unclear. Several mechanisms have been suggested related to the cardiovascular benefit of SGLT-2 inhibitors, including a reduction in inflammation, improvement in natriuresis/diuresis, and promotion of the use of ketones as a secondary energy source. Clinical data showed that SGLT-2 inhibitors have morbidity and mortality benefits within 30 days of initiation. Studies have proven that clinical pharmacists practicing in HF inpatient and outpatient settings resulted in a reduction of HF hospitalization and an increase in the uptake of GDMT by initiating or up-titrating GDMT agents as well as providing patient education.

In this study, nickel ferrite and a composite of nickel ferrite NiFe 2 O 4 and Ti 2 C 3 MXene are produced hydrothermally for hydrogen evolution. Ti 2 C 3 MXene is present in concentrations of between 3% and 5%. The morphological, structural, and optical properties of the generated samples are investigated by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy, and ultraviolet (UV) spectroscopy. In visible light, the recently created photocatalyst acts as a photocatalyst. Under visible light, the NiFe 2 O 4 /Ti 2 C 3 MXene 5% composite generated hydrogen effectively at rates of 7.066 mmol/g in about 2 h. The structural and morphological characteristics of nickel ferrite production and the composite of nickel ferrite NiFe 2 O 4 and Ti 2 C 3 MXene are covered in this study.
