Introduction: Fuziline is one of the many antioxidants currently being tested to treat cardiac damage. In our study, histopathological and biochemical effects of fuziline were investigated in mice with dobutamine-induced heart damage in vitro. Methods: Thirty-two adult male BALB/c mice, average weight of 18-20 g, were randomly divided into four groups - Group 1 (sham, n=8), Group 2 (control, dobutamine, n=8), Group 3 (treatment 1, dobutamine + fuziline, n=8), and Group 4 (treatment 2, fuziline, n=8). Biochemical parameters and total antioxidant status (TAS), total oxidant status (TOS), and oxidative stress index (OSI) values were measured. Coronaviruses are viruses that can cause disease in humans and animals. Generally, the disease involves the upper and lower respiratory tract. In late 2019, atypical pneumonia cases occurred in Wuhan, China. The most common symptoms in cases have been reported to be fever, cough and respiratory distress. Later, this coronavirus was named Covid-19 by the World Health Organization and was declared a pandemic. Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) caused by Covid-19 is of great importance. Conventional treatment of ARDS is usually managed by adjuvant neuromuscular blockade and mechanical ventilation, depending on the severity of hypoxemia. Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) is a cardiopulmonary support tool for respiratory and heart failure. ECMO can be used in cases where conventional treatment has failed. Developments in ECMO technology and the reliability of ARDS in previous treatments increase its importance in Covid-19. It should be noted, however, that the role and outcome of ECMO in Covid-19 therapy is currently uncertain, requiring more clinical trials. This review article provides detailed information about miRNAs, summarizes the available evidence on the correlation of micro-RNAs with both the clinical and subclinical coronary artery disease and highlights the necessity for exploring miRNAs as a potential diagnostic and prognostic biomarker of early CAD.
