Recent research in coastal seawaters of Antarctica is expanding our data and understanding of ocean currents, what creationist oceanographer Matthew Maury called “paths of the seas” (based upon his study of Psalm 8:8). Philological study of that verse (i.e., Psalm 8:8, numbered as Psalm 8:9 in the Hebrew Bible) adds clarity to what is “passing through” those oceanic sea-paths, plus that verse’s Hebrew verb refers to continually active (i.e., cross-current) movements at sea. The Old Testament book of Job contains a "nature sermon," directly delivered by God Himself, unto Job, in answer to Job's questions about how Job's peaceful life was suddenly interrupted by agonizing afflictions and disasters. God's answers provide a creationist theology of God's goodness, might, wisdom, and providence. In this "nature sermon," reported in Job 38-41, God highlights His control over the physical cosmos, then He describes His control over the world of living creatures. Beginning in Job 38:39, God emphasizes how He has caringly planned for and carefully fitted resources for critical needs of His animal creatures, including reproductive success, dietary necessities, resources to facilitate terrestrial and aerial mobility, etc. Accordingly, (a) Job should recognize God's kind providence as it is wonderfully applied to God's lesser creatures; (b) Job should recognize that his own humanity is more valuable to God than the lives of wild animals; and (c) Job should patiently depend upon God to work out good outcomes for his life, here and hereafter. To teach these truths (which are later summarized in 1 Peter 4:19) unto Job, God provides these paired illustrations of various animal's needs and activities: (1) lion and raven; (2) wild mountain goat and cervid doe; (3) wild donkey and rhinoceros; (4) ostrich and horse; (5) hawk and eagle; (6) Behemoth and Leviathan. This multidisciplinary research paper examines Genesis Chapter 7, which reports a critical timeframe during the global Flood. This study includes a verse-by-verse expository commentary on the original Hebrew text, in conjunction with integrating geological insights, gleaned from a newly compiled multi-continental database of stratigraphic columns. The analytical result is a data-based Genesis Flood model that connects the sedimentary rock record to historical highlights in Genesis Chapter 7's Flood narrative, with special attention to Flood Days 1, 40, and 150. We conclude that the Flood initiated on Day 1 with the bursting of the fountains of the great deep. The Flood-water continued to rise thereafter until it reached the Ark on Day 40, causing it to float freely. Between days 40 and 150, the water progressively rose until it reached its zenith, covering the highest hills by 15 cubits, where Chapter 7 ends. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The Noah-to-Abraham portion of the Messianic lineage includes a man named "Peleg," whom Scripture reports was so named because "in his days was the earth divided" (Genesis 10:25). Some have suggested that Earth was "divided," during Peleg's lifetime, in the sense that humanity was divided linguistically as a result of the Tower of Babel event. Others have suggested that the term "divided" (in Genesis 10:25) refers to the splitting apart of the continents, assuming that continental splittings occurred after the Flood. However, neither of these views are based upon a comprehensive philological investigation of the Hebrew vocabulary involved, which suggests that post-Flood weather patterns were then producing extraordinary riverization, with results so geomorphologically dramatic that the genealogy of Genesis 10 was worth interrupting to mention this side-note. There has recently been an interest in the creation science community to promote what is today called the Septuagint (LXX), a controversial Greek translation of the Old Testament that also contains the noncanonical Apocrypha. The recent reason for doing so, it appears, is that the LXX can be used as a justification for an expanded biblical history, both before and after the Flood. Ironically, the LXX reports erroneous chronology data that, if true, would require Methuselah to have survived the Flood (in addition to the 8 historical survivors) by about 14 years--and no LXX advocate has offered a forensically reliable remedy to this error. Meanwhile, as complicated chronological/genealogical arguments have waged back and forth between proponents and opponents, the "elephant in the room" is the pervasive textual corruption that clearly exists in what is today called the LXX, which renders it a forensically unreliable text-source. Contrary to claims that that the LXX closely follows the Masoretic Hebrew outside of a few chronological differences, the LXX (in its variant forms) often differs significantly from the providentially preserved Hebrew text of the Old Testament. Our analysis of key Messianic prophecies in the LXX, compared to the Hebrew, reveals a disturbing trend of textual corruption. This preliminary study will show that five pivotal Old Testament Messianic prophecies have been severely altered in the LXX, so as to remove their otherwise clear prophetic connection to the New Testament mission and divinity of the Lord Jesus Christ. We propose that these LXX corruptions were introduced during the late 1st Century AD (at the earliest), with further corruptions being added in later centuries, most likely by Messiah-rejecting Jews and/or by Scripture-altering pseudo-Christian Alexandrian scribes. In a recent CRSQ article, Hebert (2017) analyzed some biblical passages that have cosmological relevance yet appear to be overlooked by many commentators. Hebert suggested that the Bible may teach that heaven, the abode of God, is located directly on the other side (i.e., outside) of the waters God placed above the expanse (Hebrew raqîa‘). In other words, the "waters above" (Genesis 1:6-8) are acting as a boundary or interface between our universe and heaven itself. He also suggested that God's throne is located above these waters but in a northerly direction, most likely the direction of the north ecliptic pole. Here we examine two additional passages of Scripture that may provide additional support for these ideas, Isaiah 40:22 and Psalm 29:10. Although these passages may be familiar to many biblical creationists, we suggest more detailed understandings of these passages, with analysis that should be informative to students of cosmology, as well as exciting to students of Scripture. In particular, a philological study of Isaiah 40:22's Hebrew noun chûg (translated "circle" in KJV) indicates that Earth moves in a choreographed circuit, as opposed to Isaiah 40:22 being a proof-text for Earth's roundness.
