Abstract: Abstract Using a sample of $$1.31\times 10^{9} ~J/\psi $$ 1.31×109J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector, we perform a study of $$J/\psi \rightarrow \gamma K{\bar{K}}\eta '$$ J/ψ→γKK¯η′ . X(2370) is observed in the $$K{\bar{K}}\eta '$$ KK¯η′ invariant-mass distribution with a statistical significance of $$8.3\sigma $$ 8.3σ . Its resonance parameters are measured to be $$M=2341.6\pm 6.5 \, \text {(stat.)} \pm 5.7 \, \text {(syst.)}~ \hbox {MeV}/c^{2}$$ M=2341.6±6.5(stat.)±5.7(syst.)MeV/c2 and $$\Gamma = 117\pm 10 \, \text {(stat.)}\pm 8 \, \text {(syst.)}~\hbox {MeV}$$ Γ=117±10(stat.)±8(syst.)MeV . The product branching fractions for $$J/\psi \rightarrow \gamma X(2370),X(2370)\rightarrow K^{+}K^{-}\eta '$$ J/ψ→γX(2370),X(2370)→K+K-η′ and $$J/\psi \rightarrow \gamma X(2370),X(2370)\rightarrow K_{S}^{0}K_{S}^{0}\eta '$$ J/ψ→γX(2370),X(2370)→KS0KS0η′ are determined to be $$(1.79\pm 0.23\, \text {(stat.)}\pm 0.65\,\text {(syst.)})\times 10^{-5}$$ (1.79±0.23(stat.)±0.65(syst.))×10-5 and $$(1.18\pm 0.32\, \text {(stat.)}\pm 0.39\, \text {(syst.)})\times 10^{-5}$$ (1.18±0.32(stat.)±0.39(syst.))×10-5 , respectively. No evident signal for X(2120) is observed in the $$K{\bar{K}}\eta '$$ KK¯η′ invariant-mass distribution. The upper limits for the product branching fractions of $${\mathcal {B}}(J/\psi \rightarrow \gamma X(2120)\rightarrow \gamma K^{+} K^{-} \eta ')$$ B(J/ψ→γX(2120)→γK+K-η′) and $${\mathcal {B}}(J/\psi \rightarrow \gamma X(2120)\rightarrow \gamma K_{S}^{0} K_{S}^{0} \eta ')$$ B(J/ψ→γX(2120)→γKS0KS0η′) are determined to be $$1.49\times 10^{-5}$$ 1.49×10-5 and $$6.38\times 10^{-6}$$ 6.38×10-6 at the 90% confidence level, respectively.

Abstract: Gamma rays from HESS J1849−000, a middle-aged TeV pulsar wind nebula (PWN), are observed by the Tibet air shower array and the muon detector array. The detection significance of gamma rays reaches 4.0 σ and 4.4 σ levels above 25 TeV and 100 TeV, respectively, in units of the Gaussian standard deviation σ . The energy spectrum measured between 40 TeV < E < 320 TeV for the first time is described with a simple power-law function of ${dN}/{dE}={(2.86\pm 1.44)\times {10}^{-16}(E/40\,\mathrm{TeV})}^{-2.24\pm 0.41}\,{\mathrm{TeV}}^{-1}\,{\mathrm{cm}}^{-2}\,{{\rm{s}}}^{-1}$ . The gamma-ray energy spectrum from the sub-TeV ( E < 1 TeV) to sub-PeV (100 TeV < E < 1 PeV) ranges, including the results of previous studies, can be modeled with the leptonic scenario, i.e., inverse Compton scattering by high-energy electrons accelerated by the PWN of PSR J1849−0001. On the other hand, the gamma-ray energy spectrum can also be modeled with the hadronic scenario in which gamma rays are generated from the decay of neutral pions produced by collisions between accelerated cosmic-ray protons and the ambient molecular cloud found in the gamma-ray-emitting region. The cutoff energy of cosmic-ray protons E _p,cut is estimated as ${\mathrm{log}}_{10}({E}_{{\rm{p}},\mathrm{cut}}/\mathrm{TeV})={3.73}_{-0.66}^{+2.98}$ , suggesting that protons are accelerated up to the PeV energy range. Our study thus proposes that HESS J1849−000 should be further investigated as a new candidate as a Galactic PeV cosmic-ray accelerator, or “PeVatron.”

3. A METHOD FOR THE EXTRACTION OF LONG-TERM DEFORMATION CHARACTERISTICS OF LONG-SPAN HIGH-SPEED RAILWAY BRIDGES USING HIGH-RESOLUTION SAR IMAGES

Abstract: Natural causes and high-speed train load will result in the structural deformation of long-span bridges, which greatly influence the safety operation of high-speed railway. Hence it is necessary to conduct the deformation monitoring and regular status assessment for long-span bridges. However for some traditional surveying technique, e.g. control-point-based surveying techniques, a lot of human and material resources are needed to perform the long-term monitoring for the whole bridge. In this study we detected the long-term bridge deformation time-series by persistent scatterer interferometric synthetic aperture radar (PSInSAR) technique using the high-resolution SAR images and external digital elevation model. A test area in Nanjing city in China is chosen and TerraSAR-X images and Tandem-X for this area have been used. There is the Dashengguan bridge in high speed railway in this area as study object to evaluate this method. Experiment results indicate that the proposed method can effectively extract the long-term deformation of long-span high-speed railway bridge with higher accuracy.

4. Analysis of changes in post-seismic landslide distribution and its effect on building reconstruction

Abstract: Six years after the devastating Ms 8.0 Wenchuan earthquake, new landslides, debris flows, and flash floods still occur frequently in the earthquake-stricken regions. This shows that the geological hazards that occur after a major earthquake in a mountainous environment can be a long-term threat. However, post-earthquake reconstruction and relocation of local residents often neglect this evolving threat, and its interaction with existing and rebuilt houses has not been well studied. Here we show that the evolving mountain environment, including the changed geographic distribution of new landslides and the continuously uplifting riverbed, creates emerging risks for existing and rebuilt houses. We use spatial analysis of landslide debris and the location of houses from high-resolution images and field survey in the study area and find that new landslides and the houses rebuilt after the Wenchuan earthquake have a similar trend of moving to lower elevations, gentler slopes, and closer to rivers. This study confirms that the persistent downward movement of landslide debris has rapidly filled up riverbeds over the past 6 years. The elevated riverbeds make the study area extremely susceptible to flash floods, creating further risks to newly rebuilt houses that are closer to the river. We highlight the often neglected dynamic process that involves changes in the natural environment and man-made constructions and their interaction. This dynamic process requires long-term monitoring and adaptive management of mountainous regions after major earthquakes that can fully consider the sophisticated evolving risks caused by the changing environment, exposure, and vulnerability in the region.

6. Systemic Metabolic and Mitochondrial Defects in Rett Syndrome Models

Abstract: Neurodevelopmental disorder genes are broadly expressed supporting the concept that these disorders are systemic diseases that impact neurodevelopment. We tested the systemic disease model focusing on Rett syndrome, which is caused by mutations in MECP2. Transcriptomes and proteomes of organs and brain regions from Mecp2-null mice and MECP2-null human cells were assessed. Widespread changes in the transcriptome and proteome were identified in brain regions and organs of presymptomatic Mecp2-null male mice and mutant cell lines. The extent of these transcriptome and proteome modifications was similar in cortex, liver, kidney, and skeletal muscle and more pronounced than in the hippocampus and striatum. In particular, Mecp2- and MECP2-sensitive proteomes were enriched in synaptic and metabolic annotated gene products, the latter encompassing lipid and mitochondrial pathways. MECP2 mutations altered pyruvate-dependent mitochondrial respiration while maintaining the capacity to use glutamine as a mitochondrial carbon source. We conclude that mutations in Mecp2/MECP2 perturb lipid and mitochondrial metabolism systemically limiting cellular flexibility to utilize mitochondrial fuels.

7. BUILDING SEGMENTATION IN AGRICULTURAL LAND USING HIGH RESOLUTION SATELLITE IMAGERY BASED ON DEEP LEARNING APPROACH

Abstract: Understanding building area in agricultural land is important since arable land area in Taiwan is limited. One of the practical ways is manual digitization on high resolution satellite imagery, which can avoid field investigation and achieve satisfying results. However, such practice is tedious and labor intensive. Past researches have shown that deep learning methods are useful to segment buildings in different cities using satellite imagery. In this study, ENVINet5 model was trained and used to segment buildings from high resolution Pleiades pansharpened imagery. The training images (with the size of 2500 pixels × 2500 pixels) were randomly selected from 9 counties/cities to increase diversity since each county/city has different building patterns. The performance of ENVINet5 model reached 0.977, 0.814, 0.847, and 0.829 respectively on accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score. Since evaluation by pixels can be difficult to show geometry of buildings, we evaluated the model by counting the number of inference building segments, which was post-processed from inference result of ENVINet5 trained model. Further analysis by counting the inference building segments is discussed in this study.

Abstract: We report a measurement of the observed cross sections of e + e - → J / ψ X based on 3.21 fb - 1 of data accumulated at energies from 3.645 to 3.891 GeV with the BESIII detector operated at the BEPCII collider. In analysis of the cross sections, we measured the decay branching fractions of B ( ψ ( 3686 ) → J / ψ X ) = ( 64.4 ± 0.6 ± 1.6 ) % and B ( ψ ( 3770 ) → J / ψ X ) = ( 0.5 ± 0.2 ± 0.1 ) % for the first time. The energy-dependent line shape of these cross sections cannot be well described by two Breit-Wigner (BW) amplitudes of the expected decays ψ ( 3686 ) → J / ψ X and ψ ( 3770 ) → J / ψ X . Instead, it can be better described with one more BW amplitude of the decay R ( 3760 ) → J / ψ X . Under this assumption, we extracted the R ( 3760 ) mass M R ( 3760 ) = 3766.2 ± 3.8 ± 0.4 MeV / c 2 , total width Γ R ( 3760 ) tot = 22.2 ± 5.9 ± 1.4 MeV , and product of leptonic width and decay branching fraction Γ R ( 3760 ) e e B [ R ( 3760 ) → J / ψ X ] = ( 79.4 ± 85.5 ± 11.7 ) eV . The significance of the R ( 3760 ) is 5.3 σ . The first uncertainties of these measured quantities are from fits to the cross sections and second systematic.

Abstract: Objectives To explore the causes of cochlear implantation and reference function of old electrical stimulation electrode in cochlear reimplantation in children. Methods The causes, surgical methods and problems found during the operations of 24 cases of cochlear reimplantation in Henan Children's Hospital from June 2016 to April 2018 were analyzed. Results Twenty-three cases successfully completed the surgery of cochlear-reimplantation, and the remaining one case had approximately 1/3 of the anterior end of the residual cochlear electrode due to high resistance at the time of withdrawal of the electrodes. The causes of re-implantation were implant equipment failure (eleven cases), elevated impedance values of all electrodes after head trauma (two cases), and implant prolapse together with the electrode caused by a traffic accident (one case). Conclusion The old stimulus electrode can provide an important reference to reduce the risk of operation and ensure the success of the reoperation.

Abstract: We apply a U-Net-based convolutional neural network (NN) architecture to the problem of predictive adaptive optics (AO) for tracking and imaging fast-moving targets, such as satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). We show that the fine-tuned NN is able to achieve an approximately 50% reduction in mean-squared wavefront error over non-predictive approaches while predicting up to eight frames into the future. These results were obtained when the NN, trained mostly on simulated data, tested its performance on 1 kHz Shack–Hartmann wavefront sensor data collected in open-loop at the Advanced Electro-Optical System facility at Haleakala Observatory while the telescope tracked a naturally illuminated piece of LEO space debris. We report, to our knowledge, the first successful test of a NN for the predictive AO application using on-sky data, as well as the first time such a network has been developed for the more stressing space tracking application.

Abstract: A sensitivity- and resolution-improving method for a low-frequency micro-vibration accelerometer is presented in this paper. A sensitivity model of the measurement system is derived and established. The key parameters that limit the sensitivity and the resolution of the accelerometer were identified through the sensitivity coefficient analysis method. The structural parameters and the signal process method were then optimized. Experimental results show that the sensitivity of the accelerometer has improved from 1.10 V/(m/s2) to 19.21 V/(m/s2), and the resolution has improved from 1.47 mm/s2 to 0.21 mm/s2. The lowest working frequency range has expanded from 1 Hz to 0.7 Hz. The presented method is effective and cheap and can be applied to other sensors.

Abstract: Using data collected with the BESIII detector operating at the Beijing Electron Positron Collider, we search for the process $e^+e^-\rightarrow \eta_c\eta \pi^+\pi^-$. The search is performed using five large data sets recorded at center-of-mass energies of 4.23, 4.26, 4.36, 4.42, and 4.60 GeV. The $\eta_c$ meson is reconstructed in 16 exclusive decay modes. No signal is observed in the $\eta_c$ mass region at any center-of-mass energy. The upper limits on the reaction cross sections are determined to be 6.2, 10.8, 27.6, 22.6 and 23.7 pb at the 90% confidence level at the center-of-mass energies listed above.

Abstract: 患儿男，9岁7月龄，因“反复感染3年余，阵发性头痛3个月”就诊，临床表现为EB病毒感染后继发噬血细胞性淋巴组织增生症，反复肺炎，右侧额颞部头痛和头晕，发作性左下肢无力。精细分型提示成熟B细胞水平降低，自然杀伤细胞明显减少，免疫球蛋白水平降低。基因检测提示SH2D1A基因 c.163CT（p.R55X）杂合变异。脑脊液中EB病毒DNA阳性，头颅磁共振成像提示脑白质损伤，头颅磁共振成像血管造影提示左前脑动脉有局部结节。诊断为X连锁淋巴细胞增殖性疾病1型，经干细胞移植该患儿脑血管炎、颅内EB病毒感染症状以及免疫功能明显好转。.

Abstract: HESS J1843–033 is a very high energy gamma-ray source whose origin remains unidentified. This work presents, for the first time, the energy spectrum of gamma rays beyond 100 TeV from the HESS J1843–033 region using the data recorded by the Tibet air shower array and its underground muon detector array. A gamma-ray source with an extension of 0.°34 ± 0.°12 is successfully detected above 25 TeV at (α, δ) = (281.°09 ± 0.°10, −3.°76 ± 0.°09) near HESS J1843–033 with a statistical significance of 6.2σ, and the source is named TASG J1844–038. The position of TASG J1844–038 is consistent with those of HESS J1843–033, eHWC J1842–035, and LHAASO J1843–0338. The measured gamma-ray energy spectrum in 25 TeV < E < 130 TeV is described with dN / dE = ( 9.70 ± 1.89 ) × 10 − 16 (E/40 TeV)−3.26±0.30 TeV−1 cm−2 s−1, and the spectral fit to the combined spectra of HESS J1843–033, LHAASO J1843–0338, and TASG J1844–038 implies the existence of a cutoff at 49.5 ± 9.0 TeV. Associations of TASG J1844–038 with SNR G28.6–0.1 and PSR J1844–0346 are also discussed in detail for the first time.

Abstract: We report the most precise measurements to date of the strong-phase parameters between D^{0} and D[over ¯]^{0} decays to K_{S,L}^{0}π^{+}π^{-} using a sample of 2.93 fb^{-1} of e^{+}e^{-} annihilation data collected at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. Our results provide the key inputs for a binned model-independent determination of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa angle γ/ϕ_{3} with B decays. Using our results, the decay model sensitivity to the γ/ϕ_{3} measurement is expected to be between 0.7° and 1.2°, approximately a factor of three smaller than that achievable with previous measurements, based on the studies of the simulated data. The improved precision of this work ensures that measurements of γ/ϕ_{3} will not be limited by knowledge of strong phases for the next decade. Furthermore, our results provide critical input for other flavor-physics investigations, including charm mixing, other measurements of CP violation, and the measurement of strong-phase parameters for other D-decay modes.

Abstract: A partial-wave analysis is performed for the process e^{+}e^{-}→K^{+}K^{-}π^{0}π^{0} at the center-of-mass energies ranging from 2.000 to 2.644 GeV. The data samples of e^{+}e^{-} collisions, collected by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider with a total integrated luminosity of 300 pb^{-1}, are analyzed. The total Born cross sections for the process e^{+}e^{-}→K^{+}K^{-}π^{0}π^{0}, as well as the Born cross sections for the subprocesses e^{+}e^{-}→ϕπ^{0}π^{0}, K^{+}(1460)K^{-}, K_{1}^{+}(1400)K^{-}, K_{1}^{+}(1270)K^{-}, and K^{*+}(892)K^{*-}(892), are measured versus the center-of-mass energy. The corresponding results for e^{+}e^{-}→K^{+}K^{-}π^{0}π^{0} and ϕπ^{0}π^{0} are consistent with those of BABAR with better precision. By analyzing the cross sections for the four subprocesses, K^{+}(1460)K^{-}, K_{1}^{+}(1400)K^{-}, K_{1}^{+}(1270)K^{-}, and K^{*+}(892)K^{*-}(892), a structure with mass M=(2126.5±16.8±12.4) MeV/c^{2} and width Γ=(106.9±32.1±28.1) MeV is observed with an overall statistical significance of 6.3σ, although with very limited significance in the subprocesses e^{+}e^{-}→K_{1}^{+}(1270)K^{-} and K^{*+}(892)K^{*-}(892). The resonant parameters of the observed structure suggest it can be identified with the ϕ(2170), thus the results provide valuable input to the internal nature of the ϕ(2170).

Abstract: Using a sample of (448.1±2.9)×106 ψ(3686) events collected with the BESIII detector, we perform the first partial wave analysis of ψ(3686)→K+K-η. In addition to the well established states, ϕ(1020), ϕ(1680), and K3*(1780), contributions from X(1750), ρ(2150), ρ3(2250), and K2*(1980) are also observed. The X(1750) state is determined to be a 1-- resonance. The simultaneous observation of the ϕ(1680) and X(1750) indicates that the X(1750), with previous observations in photoproduction, is distinct from the ϕ(1680). The masses, widths, branching fractions of ψ(3686)→K+K-η, and the intermediate resonances are also measured.

26. CircPSMC3 inhibits cell proliferation and induces cell apoptosis in nasopharyngeal carcinoma by downregulating ROCK1

Abstract: Currently, the importance of circular RNAs in malignant tumors has attracted much attention. However, the role of circPSMC3 in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) remains unclear. The aim of this study was to investigate the function of circPSMC3 in the proliferation and apoptosis of NPC and to explore its possible underlying mechanism.Real Time-quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-qPCR) was utilized to determine the level of circPSMC3 in NPC tissues and cell lines. The association between circPSMC3 expression and patients' prognosis was analyzed. CircPSMC3 lentivirus was constructed and transfected into NPC cells. Cell growth ability and apoptosis were detected through Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) assay, colony formation assay, and flow cytometry, respectively. Western blot was performed to analyze the target protein of circPSMC3. Furthermore, the function of circPSMC3 was explored in nude mice.CircPSMC3 was lowly expressed in NPC tissues compared with adjacent normal tissues. Low circPSMC3 expression was associated with poor prognosis of NPC patients. Meanwhile, the expression of circPSMC3 was significantly down-regulated in NPC cell lines as well. The growth ability of NPC cells was markedly inhibited after circPSMC3 was overexpressed. Overexpression of circPSMC3 significantly promoted the apoptosis of NPC cells in vitro. ROCK1 expression decreased markedly via overexpression of circPSMC3. Furthermore, tumor formation was inhibited after the up-regulation of circPSMC3 in vivo.CircPSMC3 could suppress cell growth and promote cell apoptosis in NPC by downregulating ROCK1.

Abstract: The cross section of the process e+e-→η′J/ψ is measured at center-of-mass (c.m.) energies from s=4.178 to 4.600 GeV using data samples corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 11 fb-1 collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring. The dependence of the cross section on s shows an enhancement around 4.2 GeV. While the shape of the cross section cannot be fully explained with a single ψ(4160) or ψ(4260) state, a coherent sum of the two states does provide a reasonable description of the data.

Abstract: Hybrid light-emitting diodes (LEDs) were fabricated by spin coating poly(9,9-dioctylfluorene-alt-benzothiadiazole) (F8BT) on blue InGaN/GaN multiple-quantum-well (MQW) LED chips as a downconverter. As the F8BT film thickness was in the range of 235–290 nm, the hybrid LEDs emitted cool white light with a downconversion efficiency of 28.8%. The F8BT film quality was markedly improved by postannealing at 200 °C, raising the downconversion efficiency to 82.6%. To obtain more efficient white light emission, we proposed to insert Ag nanoparticles (NPs) with a diameter of 13 nm at the inorganic–organic interface to form an MQWs/NPs/F8BT structure. Simulations showed that nonradiative energy transfer from the MQWs to F8BT can be mediated by localized surface plasmons, leading to more efficient downconversion and overall white light emission. The proof of concept of such a hybrid LED will pave the way toward high-performance phosphor-free white LED sources for microdisplay and general lighting applications.

Abstract: A severe dust storm event originated from the Gobi Desert in Central and East Asia during 2–7 May 2017. Based on Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) satellite products, hourly environmental monitoring measurements from Chinese cities and East Asian meteorological observation stations, and numerical simulations, we analysed the spatial and temporal characteristics of this dust event as well as its associated impact on the Asia-Pacific region. The maximum observed hourly PM10 (particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter ≤ 10 µm) concentration was above 1000 µg m−3 in Beijing, Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, Baoding, and Langfang and above 2000 µg m−3 in Erdos, Hohhot, Baotou, and Alxa in northern China. This dust event affected over 8.35 million km2, or 87 % of the Chinese mainland, and significantly deteriorated air quality in 316 cities of the 367 cities examined across China. The maximum surface wind speed during the dust storm was 23–24 m s−1 in the Mongolian Gobi Desert and 20–22 m s−1 in central Inner Mongolia, indicating the potential source regions of this dust event. Lidar-derived vertical dust profiles in Beijing, Seoul, and Tokyo indicated dust aerosols were uplifted to an altitude of 1.5–3.5 km, whereas simulations by the Weather Research and Forecasting with Chemistry (WRF-Chem) model indicated 20.4 and 5.3 Tg of aeolian dust being deposited respectively across continental Asia and the North Pacific Ocean. According to forward trajectory analysis by the FLEXible PARTicle dispersion (FLEXPART) model, the East Asian dust plume moved across the North Pacific within a week. Dust concentrations decreased from the East Asian continent across the Pacific Ocean from a magnitude of 103 to 10−5 µg m−3, while dust deposition intensity ranged from 104 to 10−1 mg m−2. This dust event was unusual due to its impact on continental China, the Korean Peninsula, Japan, and the North Pacific Ocean. Asian dust storms such as those observed in early May 2017 may lead to wider climate forcing on a global scale.

Abstract: We conducted accelerated reliability tests of electron-only devices (EODs) and organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) differing only in their electron-transport material (ETM). High current stressing of EODs at 50 mA/cm2 showed that Bphen ~ Alq3 > TPBi > TAZ in terms of intrinsic material stability. In addition, the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) level and electron mobility have been identified as two other key material factors affecting the degradation rate of OLEDs. TAZ has a low electron mobility, a LUMO level misaligned with the Fermi level of the cathode, and poor material stability, leading to extremely poor reliability of devices with a TAZ electron-transport layer (ETL). In contrast, the OLED with a Bphen ETL exhibited more stable operation and a 76 × longer luminance lifetime. Due to its relatively high electron mobility and good stability as well as perfect energy level alignment with the cathode, Bphen has proven to be the most desirable ETM from the standpoint of OLED reliability.

32. Dust deposition and ambient PM10 concentration in northwest China: spatial and temporal variability

Abstract: Eolian dust transport and deposition are important geophysical processes which influence global bio-geochemical cycles. Currently, reliable deposition data are scarce in central and east Asia. Located at the boundary of central and east Asia, Xinjiang Province of northwestern China has long played a strategic role in cultural and economic trade between Asia and Europe. In this paper, we investigated the spatial distribution and temporal variation in dust deposition and ambient PM10 (particulate matter in aerodynamic diameter ≤ 10 µm) concentration from 2000 to 2013 in Xinjiang Province. This variation was assessed using environmental monitoring records from 14 stations in the province. Over the 14 years, annual average dust deposition across stations in the province ranged from 255.7 to 421.4 t km−2. Annual dust deposition was greater in southern Xinjiang (663.6 t km−2) than northern (147.8 t km−2) and eastern Xinjiang (194.9 t km−2). Annual average PM10 concentration across stations in the province varied from 100 to 196 µg m−3 and was 70, 115 and 239 µg m−3 in northern, eastern and southern Xinjiang, respectively. The highest annual dust deposition (1394.1 t km−2) and ambient PM10 concentration (352 µg m−3) were observed in Hotan, which is located in southern Xinjiang and at the southern boundary of the Taklamakan Desert. Dust deposition was more intense during the spring and summer than other seasons. PM10 was the main air pollutant that significantly influenced regional air quality. Annual average dust deposition increased logarithmically with ambient PM10 concentration (R2 ≥ 0.81). While the annual average dust storm frequency remained unchanged from 2000 to 2013, there was a positive relationship between dust storm days and dust deposition and PM10 concentration across stations. This study suggests that sand storms are a major factor affecting the temporal variability and spatial distribution of dust deposition in northwest China.

Abstract: This paper uses the instruments independently developed by Hunan Meteorological Station to carry out automatic observation experiments for cloud amounts and cloud forms in Changsha and Xilinhot. By comparing the manual and automatic observation results at 270 observation times from June to July in 2019, the feasibility of the automatic observation for cloud amounts and cloud forms based on image recognition is discussed. Meanwhile, suggestions and the basis for instrument improvement are provided in this paper. The main conclusions are as follows. During the test, the instrument runs stably; compared with those in manual observations, the consistency rates of the automatic observation results for cloud amounts and cloud forms are 70.8% and 77.1%, respectively; the consistency rates are over 90% when precipitation occurs. Most automatic observation deviations of the cloud form are concentrated in recognizing cloud genera. Being able to provide favorable supports for weather forecasts and services, the automatic observation results are highly applicable. The simple datasource and imbalanced classification of training samples are the main reasons for the low consistency rates of automatic observation results in some cases, and the image distortion of the fish-eye camera also has a great influence on the cloud-amount recognition results. The automatic observation results could be improved by enriching training sample sets, as well as optimizing the image processing and recognition algorithm in the future.

Abstract: We measure the Born cross sections of the process e(+)e(-) -> K+ K- K+ K- at center-of-mass (c.m.) energies, root s, between 2.100 and 3.080 GeV. The data were collected using the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. An enhancement at root s = 2.232 GeV is observed, very close to the e(+)e(-) -> Lambda(Lambda) over bar production threshold. A similar enhancement at the same c.m. energy is observed in the e(+)e(-) -> phi K+ K- cross section. The energy dependence of the K+ K- K+ K- and phi K+ K- cross sections differs significantly from that of e(+)e(-) -> phi pi(+)pi(-).

Abstract: A partial-wave analysis of the decay J/ψ→K+K-π0 has been made using (223.7±1.4)×106 J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector in 2009. The analysis, which is performed within the isobar-model approach, reveals contributions from K2*(1430)±, K2*(1980)± and K4*(2045)± decaying to K±π0. The two latter states are observed in J/ψ decays for the first time. Two resonance signals decaying to K+K- are also observed. These contributions cannot be reliably identified and their possible interpretations are discussed. The measured branching fraction B(J/ψ→K+K-π0) of (2.88±0.01±0.12)×10-3 is more precise than previous results. Branching fractions for the reported contributions are presented as well. The results of the partial-wave analysis differ significantly from those previously obtained by BESII and BABAR.

Abstract: Using an e+e- annihilation data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.19 fb-1 and collected at a center-of-mass energy s=4.178 GeV with the BESIII detector, we measure the absolute branching fractions B(Ds+→KS0K+)=(1.425±0.038stat.±0.031syst.)% and B(Ds+→KL0K+)=(1.485±0.039stat.±0.046syst.)%. The branching fraction of Ds+→KS0K+ is compatible with the world average and that of Ds+→KL0K+ is measured for the first time. We present the first measurement of the KS0-KL0 asymmetry in the decays Ds+→KS,L0K+, and R(Ds+→KS,L0K+)=B(Ds+→KS0K+)-B(Ds+→KL0K+)B(Ds+→KS0K+)+B(Ds+→KL0K+)=(-2.1±1.9stat.±1.6syst.)%. In addition, we measure the direct CP asymmetries ACP(Ds±→KS0K±)=(0.6±2.8stat.±0.6syst.)% and ACP(Ds±→KL0K±)=(-1.1±2.6stat.±0.6syst.)%.

Abstract: The cross section of the process e+e-→ωχc0 is measured at center-of-mass energies from s=4.178 to 4.278 GeV using a data sample of 7 fb-1 collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring. The dependence of the cross section on s shows a resonant structure with mass of (4218.5±1.6(stat)±4.0(syst)) MeV/c2 and width of (28.2±3.9(stat)±1.6(syst)) MeV, respectively. This observation confirms and improves upon the result of a previous study. The angular distribution of the e+e-→ωχc0 process is extracted for the first time.

Abstract: The Born cross section for the process e+e-→pp¯ is measured using the initial state radiation technique with an undetected photon. This analysis is based on datasets corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 7.5 fb-1, collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider at center of mass energies between 3.773 and 4.600 GeV. The Born cross section for the process e+e-→pp¯ and the proton effective form factor are determined in the pp¯ invariant mass range between 2.0 and 3.8 GeV/c2 divided into 30 intervals. The proton form factor ratio (|GE|/|GM|) is measured in 3 intervals of the pp¯ invariant mass between 2.0 and 3.0 GeV/c2.

Abstract: The effects of delta doping in organic materials were investigated by incorporating periodic 0.5-nm MoO3 layers into a Tris(4-carbazoyl-9-ylphenyl)amine (TCTA) thin film. Secondary ion mass spectrometry revealed the transient diffusion of MoO3 into the underlying TCTA, resulting in a stable delta doping profile. Delta-doped hole-only devices exhibited greatly enhanced current conduction along and perpendicular to the film plane compared with a uniformly doped device, and had a turn-on voltage as low as 1 V. The enhanced conductivity is attributed to free hole accumulation in potential wells formed in the delta-doped regions as a result of doping-induced energy level shifts. This unique doping strategy may open new perspectives for developing high-transconductance organic transport devices.

Abstract: The ultra-high pressure piezoresistive sensor works with the Wheatstone half bridge theory. Because of the electric resistance temperature coefficient difference and the four electric resistances value of bridge arm are different in the manufacturing, zero drift and zero temperature drift generally exist in practical application of the ultra-high pressure piezoresistive sensor, which leads to loss of measuring accuracy of sensor. It requires a normalized polynomial fitting algorithm to achieve null balance and compensate zero drift simultaneously. According to model analysis and deduction as well as experiments, statistics obtained through normalized polynomial fitting algorithm is the same as experiments and shows higher accuracy, better compensation effect. The ultra-high pressure piezoresistive sensor compensated by the software method can be widely used in pressure testing and research on interior ballistics, especially the high pressure gun under the high temperature, high pressure, and high impact environment.

Abstract: To investigate the role of Jagged2 in triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) and its underlying mechanism.Breast cancer tissues of patients diagnosed with TNBC in Fujian Medical University Affiliated MinDong Hospital from January 2015 to September 2017 were selected. TNBC patients were divided into the paclitaxel-resistant group (n=34) and non-resistance group (n=11). Jagged2 expression in paclitaxel-resistant group and non-resistance group before and after treatment was detected by quantitative Real-time-polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR), respectively. After Jagged2 knockdown in paclitaxel-resistant MDA-MB-231 cells (MDA-MB-231/TXR), expression of CD44+CD24-ESA+ subset was detected by flow cytometry. MicroRNA-200 expression was detected after Jagged2 knockdown in MDA-MB-231/TXR cells.Jagged2 was highly expressed in paclitaxel-resistant TNBC tissues and cells. Jagged2 expression was found to be associated with cancer stem cell (CSC) properties of TNBC cells. Knockdown of Jagged2 inhibited CSC properties and paclitaxel resistance, whereas upregulated microRNA-200 expression. The inhibited CSC properties and paclitaxel resistance induced by Jagged2 knockdown were reversed by microRNA-200 knockdown.Jagged2 maintains CSC properties of TNBC cells and paclitaxel resistance via regulating microRNA-200.
