Context: This study investigates the perspective of vocational educators on the possibility of adopting augmented reality (AR) and hypervideo (HV) technologies to support their teaching practice. Vocational education and training (VET) is particularly concerned with the learning of resources (knowledge, skills and attitudes) that are immediately transposable into conduct and procedures in the workplace. AR and HV can provide means to answer this requirement, but both technological solutions are still not so diffused in VET. The purpose of this study is to inquire into the perception of educators on the main advantages and disadvantages of using AR and HV to support teaching-and-learning. Methods: A semi-structured interview protocol has been proposed to 73 teachers, intercompany trainers and in-company trainers in 10 professions (at least two per category within each profession). The interview was organized in two main steps: A need analysis, in which the most important and difficult operative skills are identified for the interviewee's profession; and a discussion of advantages and disadvantages of AR and HV. Content analysis was applied to the interview transcriptions. Results: The results show that the main advantages reported in the literature for the two technologies – such as the ability to switch between 2D and 3D and carry out simulations – are also found in the VET context by educators. For HV the main technical advantages (such as the use of active points, and non-linear navigation of video content) were autonomously recognised, while the potential of the instrument to support reflection has not been clearly identified. Conclusions: AR and HV are considered as tools able to support apprentices' procedural learning especially with regard to the operational skills which were judged by the educators to be most relevant for VET.

Article reveals the opportunities of introducing mobile learning techniques in the course of collocations, etc. The term ‘Media education’ defines personality development via mass foreign language study in high school. Modern pedagogical technologies, which involve IT-technologies, Internet resources allow teachers to implement personally-customized teaching methods, thereby providing individual and differential teaching approach. Current teaching principles combine explicit and implicit methods. The former one represents the conscious and aware learning whereas the latter technique is to assimilate lexical units subconsciously, i.e. while participating in discussions, listening to live speech patterns, multiple repetition of useful speech media to acquire special communication skills, relevant perception and interpretation, develop creative abilities, critical thinking, analyze and assess media texts, learn different ways of self-expressing via various media techniques. User-friendly interface, modified information presentation are essential factors which facilitate a sophisticated complex educational process, making the study accessible, updated regularly, client-tailored, personalized. The technology of autonomous work with mobile devices is regarded as one of the promising ways for students to overcome the difficulties of learning activities. Mobile learning, based on the principle of guided interactive self-learning using mobile applications, has ample opportunities for activating and intensifying students' independent activities. The analysis of the use of mobile applications for learning a foreign language shows that motivation is an important factor in self-education.

Motivation and activity of students during the lesson plays a crucial role in achieving the result, because motivated students are more attuned to work, which affects their direct activity. At active performance of tasks, the quantity of the executed tasks at a lesson increases, as well as the potential for assimilating the studied material.Communication between people is not just an exchange of information, but also an exchange of opinions, events that are significant for students. This requires a positive learning environment in which students find themselves so that they are quicker to decide to express own opinions, even if they may be grammatically incorrect. The processes occurring during the lesson and the success of teaching also include non-verbal communication, avoidance of communication and silence.Due to the correct selection of social work forms, which increased motivation in learning German, as a result, in addition to changing social relations during the lesson, educational autonomy is also enhanced, which means the teacher's transfer of responsibility for educational process to students.The aim of this work is to highlight the advantages and disadvantages of using group work in a German lesson, as well as to substantiate the functions and influence of group work on the activation of students during a German lesson.Interaction includes all communication processes in a foreign language lesson. At the same time, cooperative social forms, for example, group work in the classroom leads to active participation of students in discussions, presentation of activities in the form of posters, dialogues, role-playing games, etc. The active participation contributes to a deep and qualitative analysis of the knowledge gained and, at the same time, to the long-term storage of the studied material. It is worth noting that due to a variety of social forms of work, not only the communication skills of students develop, but also motivate them to further study the language, have a positive effect on educational processes and social contacts between students are established., Мотивація та активність учнів під час уроку відіграє визначну роль в досягненні результату, адже вмотивовані учні більш налаштовані на роботу, що впливає на їхню безпосередню активність. При активному виконанні завдань збільшується кількість виконаних завдань на уроці, також підвищується потенціал засвоєння вивченого матеріалу.Метою даної роботи є висвітлення переваг та недоліків використання групової роботи на уроці німецької мови, обґрунтування функцій та впливу групової роботи на активізацію учнів під час уроку німецької мови.

Future teachers first come into contact with diversified teaching strategies, such as Project-Based Learning, in initial teacher education programmes. Such strategies contrast with the type of methods that they experienced throughout their own schooling, which are essentially teacher centred. The present research aims to understand how Project-Based Learning is being integrated into the curriculum of primary school teachers’ initial teacher education programmes. The participants were three higher education institutions located in different regions of Portugal, all of which offer initial teacher education programmes for primary school teachers that include Project-Based Learning at some point. The data were collected through document analysis of the programmes’ curricula, as well as through semi-structured interviews with the programme coordinators in each institution. The results show that the institutions value Project-Based Learning and make an effort to include it in their programmes, whether in theoretical, didactical or practical terms. However, they encounter some difficulties in promoting more significant experiences that would enable the students to feel confident to use this strategy in their Supervised Teaching Practice internships.

Цель статьи – раскрыть потенциал когнитивной грамматики для освоения английского языка. Автор показывает, как опора на ключевое понятие «окно наблюдения» и разграничение двух противоположных стратегий человеческого познания – непосредственное («ВИЖУ») и опосредованное («ЗНАЮ») – позволяет повысить эффективность усвоения системы видовременных форм английского глагола. На примере когнитивного анализа времен группы Indefinite доказывается, что залогом успешной иноязычной коммуникации является осознание обучаемыми того смысла, который англоговорящий «держит в голове» в момент порождения речи, когда «окно наблюдения» закрыто. Результаты работы могут быть использованы в практике преподавания и изучения английского языка в средних и высших учебных заведениях, на курсах повышения квалификации., The purpose of the article is to reveal the potential of cognitive grammar for English learning. The author shows how the reliance on the key concept of 'observational window' and the differentiation of two opposite strategies of human cognition – direct (“I SEE”) and indirect (“I KNOW”) – facilitates acquisition of the aspectual-temporal system of the English verb. By the cognitive analysis of the meaning of the indefinite verbal aspect, the author proves that the key to successful foreign language communication is students' awareness of the meaning that English speakers keep in mind at the moment of speech production, when the 'observational window' is closed. Der Beitrag beschäftigt sich mit der Untersuchung von Sprachpraktiken im Unterricht und fokussiert auf das Konzept bildungssprachlicher Praktiken. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf ausgewählten Unterrichtssequenzen aus einer videobasierten Unterrichtsstudie, in der bildungssprachförderliches Lehrerhandeln untersucht wird. Die Analysen zeigen, wie die Lehrkräfte aus der Studie ihren Schülerinnen und Schülern eine aktive Teilhabe an bildungssprachlichen Praktiken ermöglichen. The focus is on selected transliterated sequences from a video study examining teaching practices of academic language support. This theoretical study deals with interconnecting learning tasks of art education with the parent discipline of art education (that is, with the artistic field as defined by Pierre Bourdieu, 1996), while reflecting on the quality of art lessons in the Czech Republic. The authors draw on current theoretical and empirical research of quality that identifies individual quality factors. The most salient factors are the connection with the artistic field and the resulting ability of conceptual integration, together with curricular normativity, the intentional work of the teacher with educational content, characteristics of teaching such as the support of divergence, creative approaches, associativity, imagination, reflection, searching for intersections between pupils’ experience and the content of the subject, etc. The text also emphasises the fact that judgement on the quality of learning tasks should be based only on ontological-didactic and psychological-didactic aspects. The former relate to the cultural and artistic context of learning tasks, that is, the current values in the field of visual culture and the artistic field, while the latter consider the personal characteristics of each and every pupil.

„Lehrer:innen haben kreative Ideen und die individuelle Fähigkeit, den Unterricht im Homeschooling erfolgreich zu gestalten!“ Zu dieser Überzeugung gelangen die Autor:innen. Sie belegen ihre positive Bilanz mit einer Studie, in der sie von Lehrkräften selbst erstellte und in der Praxis erprobte Lernmaterialien aus der Zeit des Homeschoolings während der Corona-Pandemie in den Jahren 2020 und 2021 empirisch analysieren und auswerten. So ergeben sich neben interessanten Ergebnissen hinsichtlich der Gestaltung dieser Materialien abwechslungsreiche und fächerübergreifende Fallbeispiele als Anregungen für den eigenen Unterricht. Die Autor:innen legen dar, welche digitalen Lernangebote den Schüler:innen im Homeschooling gemacht wurden. Die im Buch ausgewählten Fallbeispiele dienen als Inspiration für die eigene Lehr- und Lernsituation. Dabei kann die Lektüre (angehende) Lehrkräfte dabei unterstützen, eigene Ideen zu entwickeln, neue Perspektiven einzunehmen und bereitgestellte Beispiele weiterzudenken.

The paper deals with methodological aspects of studying a noun in a Vietnamese audience. The choice of research topic and its relevance are due to the fact that the methodological aspects of studying Russian as a foreign language by a Vietnamese audience are not sufficiently developed. Every year, along with the increasing demand for knowledge of Russian, the number of students studying Russian is also increasing significantly, but teaching methods and materials of the Russian language are always limited. Despite the efforts of students, the results leave a great deal to be desired. In order to improve the quality of material learning, suitable methods are needed to teach Russian as a foreign language. The paper presents a comparison of the characteristics of nouns in Russian and Vietnamese; the difficulties Vietnamese students encounter in learning Russian, including nouns; and an exercise system designed for Vietnamese students.

Dadurch nimmt die gymnasiale Oberstufe einen immer bedeutenderen Platz im institutionalisierten schulischen Bildungsangebot ein, weswegen eine (erneute) wissenschaftliche Auseinandersetzung mit den Bildungszielen und den Wirkungen des Unterrichts in der gymnasialen Oberstufe sinnvoll erscheint. Vor diesem Hintergrund widmet sich dieser Sammelband aus einer fachbezogenen Perspektive dem „Fach Mathematik in der gymnasialen Oberstufe“. Tertium comparationis 28 (2022) 3, S. 332-355, This article reviews findings to date on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the German school system and discusses selected topics, i.e., general conditions of teaching and learning, didactic design and methodology, and the effects on educational outcomes. Like many other countries, Germany had to close its schools several times and switch to distance or alternate-shift learning, although the measures implemented by the federal states in this respect differed by region. In what follows, we first identify seven phases in the chronological course the pandemic took in Germany across the various ‘Länder’, or federal states. Next, we turn to a discussion of the medium- to longterm development needs of the German school system, based on the empirical findings available to date. Here our focus will be on the following issues: Fostering students’ self-regulated learning, making up for students’ learning losses, with special attention to inequalities exacerbated by the pandemic, and digitalizing the school system. Lastly, we address the future development of concepts for linking synchronous and asynchronous (digital) forms of learning and their integration into classroom instruction. (DIPF/Orig.)

У многих школьников в процессе изучения одного из разделов геометрии «Стереометрия» возникают различные сложности, вследствие чего усвоение методов решения задач данного типа оказывается весьма затруднительным. В статье осуществлён анализ проблемы и выявление причин и закономерностей недостаточного усвоения изучаемого материала, неспособности осуществлять доказательства решаемых задач. Была проанализирована методика преподавания данной темы и выявлено, что часть учеников обладает поверхностными знаниями по геометрии и сталкивается с трудностями при решении стереометрических задач. В статье выявлены причины не восприятия материала учеником, основанные на наблюдении за процессом преподавания в средней школе., Many school pupils face various difficulties in the process of studying one of the sections of geometry: «stereometry», as a result of which the mastering of problem-solving methods of this type becomes rather difficult. The article analyzes the problem and identifies the causes and patterns of difficulties with the studied material, inability to produce proofs of solved problems. The method of teaching this section was analyzed, and it was found that some pupils have superficial knowledge in geometry and face difficulties in solving stereometric problems. Der Beitrag fokussiert auf die Kernpraktik, Schüler*innen beim Erschließen von Fachtexten anzuleiten. Auf Basis des Konzepts Reciprocal Teaching werden instruktionale Aktivitäten beschrieben, welche Lehramtsstudierende erlernen sollen, um dieses Konzept erfolgreich umzusetzen. Der Beitrag vergleicht verschiedene Seminarkonzepte hinsichtlich ihrer Wirkung auf das Wissen über Reciprocal Teaching, die professionelle Wahrnehmung sowie die Ausführung der Kernpraktik. Katharina Asen-Molz, Christina Knott und Anita Schilcher beschreiben in ihrem Beitrag Erklären als Core Practice ein Forschungsprojekt zur Förderung der Erklärkompetenz von angehenden Lehrpersonen. Sie begründen die (fächerübergreifende) Bedeutung dieser Kernpraktik und prüfen am Beispiel des Fachs Deutsch die Wirkung eines fachdidaktischen Seminarkonzepts zum Literarischen Lernen. Madlena Kirchhoff und Katharina Müller beschreiben ein an der Universität Hannover in Entwicklung befindliches hochschuldidaktisches Konzept zum Erwerb der Kernpraktik Ziele festlegen. In ihrem Beitrag legen sie die Relevanz dieser Kernpraktik für den Planungsprozess von Lehrpersonen und das Lernen von Schüler*innen dar, erläutern die zentralen Wissenskomponenten der Kernpraktik und skizzieren Herausforderungen bei der Umsetzung des Konzepts sowie in Planung befindliche Forschungsvorhaben. Alexander Gröschner, Elisa Calcagni, Susi Klaß und Florentine Hickethier fragen in ihrem Beitrag, ob das Führen dialogischer Unterrichtsgespräche als Core Practice gelten können und in einem Learning to Teach-Lab an der Universität Jena von Studierenden erlernt werden kann. Das ökonomische Denken wurde in der Erwachsenen- und Weiterbildung bislang eher weniger thematisiert. Dabei gewinnt vieles von dem, was im (allgemeinbildenden) Wirtschaftsunterricht thematisiert wird, erst im späteren Lebenslauf an subjektiver Bedeutung. Daher erörtert dieser Beitrag, was ökonomisches Denken in unterschiedlichen Bereichen der Erwachsenen- und Weiterbildung auszeichnet. Anhand ausgewählter Domänen werden Lernprinzipien in der ökonomischen Bildungsarbeit mit Erwachsenen analysiert. Yet much of what is discussed in (general) economic education only gains subjective significance later in life. Therefore, this article focuses on what characterises economic thinking in different areas of adult and continuing education. Using selected domains, learning principles in economic education with adults are analysed. In conclusion, cornerstones for lifelong teaching and learning of economic thinking are outlined. In the modern educational process, teachers adapt lessons to the student’s individual abilities, prior knowledge, interests and social skills. The present study, whose aim is to examine the inclusion of differentiation in literacy lessons in the first and second grades of Slovenian primary schools, was carried out on a smaller scale (N = 79). It aims to determine the views of first- and second-grade primary school teachers on differentiation, and to find out how differentiation takes place in literacy lessons and which factors affect student performance in class. The results show that the inclusion of differentiation in literacy lessons is present in the entire initial literacy teaching process, and that Slovenian teachers undergo regular training and professional development courses in this area, thus contributing to the educational success of students and affecting their personal growth and development. Teachers estimate that the intertwining of individual abilities, family environment, engagement in co-curricular activities and well-developed social skills represents a key factor in student success. It was expected that internal differentiation would be more effective than external differentiation. Surprisingly, however, teachers report that heterogeneous groups do not enhance educational efficiency.

Learning and Instruction, Vol. 60, S. 41-53, Instructional sensitivity is the psychometric capacity of tests or single items of capturing effects of classroom instruction. Yet, current item sensitivity measures’ relationship to (a) actual instruction and (b) overall test sensitivity is rather unclear. The present study aims at closing these gaps by investigating test and item sensitivity to teaching quality, reanalyzing data from a quasi-experimental intervention study in primary school science education (1026 students, 53 classes, Mage?=?8.79 years, SDage?=?0.49, 50% female). We examine (a) the correlation of item sensitivity measures and the potential for cognitive activation in class and (b) consequences for test score interpretation when assembling tests from items varying in their degree of sensitivity to cognitive activation. Our study (a) provides validity evidence that item sensitivity measures may be related to actual classroom instruction and (b) points out that inferences on teaching drawn from test scores may vary due to test composition.

Auf Basis des empirischen Befundes, dass das berufliche Wir-Gefühl bei Lehrer*innen nicht sonderlich stark ausgeprägt ist, fragt der Autor nach der Bedingung für die Möglichkeit von Solidarität. Diese sei in der Lehrer*innenschaft nicht nur auf Grundlage gemeinsam geteilter Werte und normativer Haltungen zu erzielen. Vielmehr müsse das Wissen über strukturell ähnliche Praxismerkmale als zentraler Faktor von beruflicher Solidarität mehr Gewicht bekommen. Our results show that solidarity cannot merely be obtained by focusing on shared values/beliefs and a normative attitude. rather, teachers could generate a greater sense of cohesiveness by focusing on a central factor of professional solidarity, which is the knowledge of the common professional practice and its structural features. The concept of “pedagogical technologies and core activities” provides the chance for teachers of all school types to find common ground in their professional self-description and to generate a greater sense of unity. Die Kooperation von Lehrern wird als Merkmal "guter Schulen" angesehen, doch die Befunde zu ihrer Wirkungsmächtigkeit sind mitunter widersprüchlich. Im ersten Teil des Buches werden einschlägige Studien vorgestellt, welche sich der Bedeutung der Kooperation für die Lehrerprofessionalität, die Unterrichts- und Schulqualität sowie die Schülerleistungen widmen. Aus diesen Quellen wird ein Modell zum Ablauf und den Wirkungen der Lehrerkooperation entwickelt, das als Ausgangspunkt für die eigene Untersuchung dient. Deren Ergebnisse, beginnend mit der Ausprägung von Kooperation in gymnasialen Fachkollegien, werden im zweiten Teil dargelegt. Die Daten werden zu Unterrichtsvariablen sowie einem zentralen Qualitätsindikator in Beziehung gesetzt: zu didaktischen Präferenzen der Lehrkräfte sowie zur fachbezogenen Schuleffektivität. Ergänzt werden die Analysen um einen stärker qualitativ ausgerichteten Teil. In diesem werden die Schule mit der stärksten Kooperation sowie jene mit der höchsten Schuleffektivität eingehend charakterisiert. Die Ergebnisse sind in 24 Schlussfolgerungen zusammengefasst. (DIPF/Orig.), The first major objective of the study was to identify and portrait departments in Gymnasien which display a high degree of teacher cooperation. Using science teaching as an example, the respective departments were asked to provide information on the maximum degree of those aspects of teacher cooperation with a close association to the instruction process. By comparing such departments with others that have only a modest or low degree of instruction-focused teacher cooperation, an attempt was made to present data on the actual scope of the culture of departmental teacher cooperation in Gymnasien. A second objective was to analyse the interrelation between the degree of instruction-focused teacher cooperation and selected output variables such as the methodological preferences of science teachers and science-related school effectiveness. Due to the non-random generation of the sample, these analyses were not sufficient for testing hypotheses but could be used to establish well-founded hypotheses on the impact of teacher cooperation in Gymnasien. The analysis of the teacher questionnaires reveals that in all of the eleven science departments common work on the departmental level is regarded as constructive, i.e. sufficiently effective and goal-oriented. Only two departments attain an average rating while all others lie within a positive range. Two rather activity-oriented constructs, however, have a fairly low priority. Co-operation on general instruction related issues as well as cooperation on aspects related to the didactics of science teaching have to be considered as being ‘rather not’ a part of the collaborative culture within the science departments of Gymnasien. Since there are significant differences among the departments, though, it should be kept in mind that levels of common activity do vary rather than interpret this result as being uniquely low. Der folgende Beitrag beschäftigt sich mit dem Inverted Classroom Model (ICM) und der E-Lecture im Vergleich zu einem traditionellen Vorlesungsformat als Konzept für die Hochschullehre. Nach kurzen Ausführungen zu den Konzepten stehen die Intervention sowie das Forschungsdesign im Mittelpunkt. Mittels qualitativer und quantitativer Forschungsmethoden sowie unter Nutzung von Kennzahlen soll geklärt werden, welche Auswirkungen das jeweilige Konzept auf die Anwesenheit in den Präsenzphasen hat, wie Studierende im ICM und in der E-Lecture mit den Videos umgehen, wie sie das Konzept und speziell die Präsenzphasen bewerten sowie welche Auswirkungen die jeweiligen Formate auf den Lernerfolg haben. Die Studie gibt Hinweise, dass ein E-Lecture-Setting sinnvoll in die Lehre integriert werden kann. In der Bewertung scheinen die Präsenzphasen aufgrund der Möglichkeit auch zu (fach-)praktischen Anteilen vom ICM deutlich zur Akzeptanz beizutragen. Eine Integration beider Formate als unterstützende Lerntools für Fachpraxis oder Musiktheorie ist erstrebenswert. (DIPF/Orig.), This article examines the use of the inverted classroom model (ICM) and e-lectures as a concept for university teaching by setting them against a traditional lecture format. The intervention and the research design of the underlying study will be detailed, following a brief definition of the concepts in question. By way of qualitative and quantitative research methods, and using key indicators, the objectives of the study were to clarify what effects the respective concept has on student attendance during attendance phases, examine how students in ICM and e-lectures use the videos for their learning process, gather insights on how students evaluate the concept and the attendance phases in particular, and examine what effects the respective formats have on students’ learning success. The study results indicate that an e-lecture setting can be meaningfully integrated into teaching. In the assessment, the attendance phases seemed to contribute significantly to the acceptance of ICM because of the (specialist) practical parts of ICM. The article concludes that the integrative use of both formats as supportive learning tools for professional practice or music theory is desirable. (DIPF/Orig.)

Si le corpus littéraire traditionnellement utilisé dans l’enseignement secondaire et supérieur du FLE emprunte le plus souvent à la littérature des 19e, 20e et 21e siècles, plus rarement aux oeuvres du 16e, 17e et 18e siècle, que dire des textes plus anciens, ceux du Moyen Âge ? Les recensions montrent qu’ils sont totalement ignorés. Notre article voudrait défendre l’intérêt d’un enseignement de la littérature médiévale en FLE et soutenir les enseignant·e·s en leur fournissant des pistes d’activités efficaces permettant aux apprenant·e·s de dépasser les difficultés que suppose une lecture littéraire authentique. Pour ce faire, nous inscrivons notre démarche dans le sillage des méthodologies de l’approche globale des textes écrits (Moirand, 1979), et de la lecture interactive (Cicurel, 1991). (DIPF/Orig.), The literature traditionally used in secondary and higher education of French as a foreign language most often comes from the literature of the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries and less often from the works of the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. But what about older texts from the Middle Ages? The data shows that they are completely ignored. Our article aims to defend the interest in teaching medieval literature in French as a foreign language and to support teachers. The aim is to provide effective activity tracks that allow learners to overcome the difficulties of authentic literature reading. В статье изучаются современные возможности применения цифровых технологий в системе дошкольного образования, использование которых в нынешних реалиях просто необходимо по причине того, что дошкольники на сегодняшний день являются представителями нового поколения, для которого использование различных гаджетов и приложений является повседневностью. Подчеркивается, что по этой причине использование цифровых технологий в системе образования и обеспечение разнообразия в методике обучения, смены видов деятельности и развития у детей стремления к освоению виртуальных средств и методов обучения способствуют повышению интереса детей к процессу обучения и развивают их мотивацию в учебной деятельности. Особое внимание уделяется актуальности использования технологии цифрового сторителлинга при изучении дошкольниками английского языка. Автор статьи приходит к выводу об эффективности данной технологии, рассказывает об этапах подготовки для успешного внедрения и использования технологии сторителлинга на уроках английского языка, предлагает ресурсы, которые помогут педагогам внедрить технологию в учебный процесс, показывает преимущества использования цифрового сторителлинга, дает рекомендации по его сочетанию с другими образовательными технологиями в целях обеспечения разнообразия применяемых педагогических подходов, улучшения усвоения материала и поддержания постоянного познавательного интереса дошкольников к английскому языку., The article examines the modern capabilities of using digital technologies in the preschool education system. The use of these digital technologies under present-day conditions is simply necessary due to the fact that preschoolers today represent a new generation, for which the use of various gadgets and applications is an everyday routine. It is outlined that the use of digital technologies in the education system and the provision of diversity in teaching methods, changing activities and the development of children’s desire to master virtual tools and teaching methods contributes to increasing children’s interest in the learning process and develops their motivation in educational activities. The article focuses on the relevance of the use of digital storytelling technology in the study of English by preschoolers. The author of the article comes to the conclusion about the effectiveness of this technology, talks about the stages of preparation for the successful implementation and use of storytelling technology in English lessons, and also offers resources that will help teachers to implement the technology in the educational process. The author shows the advantages of using digital storytelling technology, makes recommendations on its combination with other educational technologies in order to ensure the diversity in pedagogical approaches being used as well as to improve the learning of material and maintain the constant cognitive interest of preschoolers in the English language.

This book aims to meet the demands on teaching and learning in the twenty-first century, and in specific, how teacher education may transform pedagogical approaches and didactic methods to support future teachers in enhancing needful skills. In particular, it focuses on the pedagogical approach of Storyline, and how a Storyline can be applied in teacher education. It argues that teacher education benefits from the potency of various disciplines while applying an interdisciplinary methodology. Storyline is a problem-based, cross-curricular approach, based on learning through an evolving narrative, created in collaboration between teacher and students. It includes a variety of didactic tools, and inclusiveness towards different learners. Using Storyline in teacher education arranges for teacher educators to integrate alternative structures, that enable interdisciplinary cooperation and topic-based teaching. The authors have incorporated Storyline in many different ways, which contextualizes throughout the book.
