This study aimed to explore the relationship between the proactive coping behaviors of Chinese social workers, the perceived importance of organizational job resources, and work engagement within the job demands-resources model. The participants were 423 licensed social workers. They completed self-report questionnaires on proactive coping behavior, organizational job resources, and work engagement. Following structural equation modeling, results indicated that organizational job resources and work engagement had significant associations with proactive coping behaviors. Moreover, proactive coping behaviors differed by demographic variables such as age, job position, and work experience. This study utilizes the Technology Acceptance Model by exploring the relationship between user acceptance attitude and actual usage behaviors of technological tools in telesupervision among supervisors in international societies. Specifically, the age of supervisors is examined to see whether it mediates the relationship between acceptance attitude and usage behavior. Survey data were collected from 194 supervisors in international societies using online Survey Monkey. The results indicated a significant relationship between user acceptance attitude and actual usage behaviors of technological tools in telesupervision. The term golden opportunities to discuss with supervisees about social work values refers to the episodes of struggles and conflicts encountered by students in fieldwork. They are so-called golden opportunities to discuss social work values with students. Limited attention has been paid as to how to seize these golden opportunities. This study explores the causes of emotional disturbance and the methods applied by supervisors to discuss social work values with their students. In total, 22 Hong Kong students in Higher Diploma Social Work programmes at three higher education institutes were interviewed. Themes identified include ambivalent feelings, methods and expectations of students. An emotionally interactive approach which consists of 3Ps ('perceived safe and trusting supervisory relationship', 'process of supportive supervision' and 'positive and accepting attitudes of supervisors') is proposed. There is a dearth of research concerning parental discourses on dyslexic children and the particular educational context in which they occur. Dyslexia can be viewed as a socially constructed condition, different from its medical definition. Critical realist discourse analysis (CRDA), which emphasises the discovery of the underlying structure and causation of observed events, can facilitate the exploration of its complexities and the multiple underlying mechanisms at work. This article reports on a study, using CRDA to reveal stories that are rarely heard, the interacting factors embedded in the school environment, and the implications for social work practices. There is a dearth of research in supervisory relationships in the emerging practice of cyber supervision. This study explores supervisees' perception of supervision experience and the building of supervisory relationships on a cyber platform. Qualitative interviews were conducted with 24 participants in a nationwide supervision training programme. The findings revealed three themes concerning supervisees' perception of satisfaction with the online supervisory relationship – the elements that hinder and facilitate relationships – and their impacts on future cyber supervision. This article draws on research studies and journal articles to examine the historical development of knowledge in social work supervision. The findings highlight the process and details involved in supervision. In addition, organizational culture, empirical studies, cumulative knowledge, and contextual environment are of critical importance to the formation. In the future, supervisory practice will need to take account of the balance of administrative and educational functions of supervision, to create more opportunities for professional autonomy, and the demands of implementing evidence-based supervisory practice. Today's social work supervision is highly administration focused; however, the approach to supervision in Mainland China is unusual. According to a study conducted in Shenzhen, a special economic region in the Pearl River Delta, a dual supervision approach has been created. Consistent with recent empirical studies by international scholars, supervision can exist in many forms that best fit the needs of professional social workers. The findings in this study remind us to reattach importance to the educational functions of today's social work supervision.
