Northeastern India and its surrounding are tectonically complex regions resulting from the collision of India and Eurasia. Due to complexities in the structural units at its northern, western and eastern boundaries, GPS velocities are not directly observable across any single fault system. The region is characterised by a high seismicity rate and produces more than 30% of earthquakes yearly in this region compared to the whole Himalayan belt. The region is surrounded by numerous major faults having creeps at the surface and has not produced a large earthquake since 1950. We invert Global Positioning System data with elastic block models to estimate the degree of locking on the major faults, slip rate, and block rotation and place bounds on the moment accumulation rate on the fault. The estimated slip rate along the CMF fault is ~ 12 mm/yr and dextral strike-slip motion. Our estimated slip along the Himalayan main boundary is significantly higher than that estimated earlier. Our slip model suggests that the observed fault kinematics can be attributed to the relative motion between different blocks and their rotations., The 28th IUGG General Assembly (IUGG2023) (Berlin 2023)

8th World Conference on Photovoltaic Energy Conversion; 287-290, Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have made tremendous progress in the past years with an efficiency of over 25% in lab-scale devices. Scalability of the perovskite technology is one of the major challenges that restrict perovskites from entering the market. In this research, we performed a systematic experimentation study to demonstrate the scalability and stability of our perovskite-based Solar InkTM and demonstrated its compatibility with different coating processes. The goal is to address the industry need of improving the performance of the perovskite solar cells by having a stable perovskite ink compatible with air-processing and ambient atmosphere, and reduce the fabrication cost by eliminating the requirement of a controlled environment. The aim of this work is to demonstrate the stability and scalability of our novel perovskite ink (Solar InkTM) with high efficiency and stability, and its compatibility with a variety of scalable manufacturing processes.

Laser scanning microscopy techniques such as confocal and multiphoton fluorescence microscopy have been widely adopted by the biological research community due to their ability to monitor intact specimens at high spatial and temporal resolution. However, they have been limited for many biomedical, clinical and industrial applications by their fundamental need to operate in near absolute darkness. We present a lighting system that allows the use of light-sensitive imaging techniques in a fully-lit room by interleaving capture and illumination at a high frequency and exploiting the light averaging properties of the human eye. We use this system with a multiphoton fluorescence microscope to illustrate that this method is capable of image capture in a well-lit room on par with capture in absolute darkness. This comparison is quantified through noise analysis of the images. This system has been implemented for laser scanning microscopy but has potential for widefield fluorescence imaging suitable for open-field surgery.

This report identifies 25 clean air measures that can positively impact human health, crop yields, climate change and socio-economic development, as well as contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Implementing these measures could help 1 billion people breathe cleaner air by 2030 and reduce global warming by a third of a degree Celsius by 2050.
