Our poster engages a collaboration between Library Instruction and Black Studies/English, examining how we used an interdisciplinary pedagogy to create an environment where students understand themselves as contributors to the disciplines. Over the course of four years, the librarian came to the professor’s courses to provide scaffolded library instruction, which over time deepened and expanded to a development of transformational projects where the students provided knowledge back to the library. Both parties understood the need for more resources in Black Studies available to students on campus, let alone Humanities courses. So library instruction eventually led to students’ contribution to the library’s online Black/Africana Studies Research Guide. In this way, the student’s material became available beyond the courses of instructions as these research guides can be accessed world wide through the library website. Additionally, Black Studies asks scholars and learners to consider solutions to issues within the field/community. In a similar matter, Information and Library Studies encourages faculty librarians to advocate and support diversity in the curriculum. This came together with the notion that both faculty members’ pedagogical approaches center students’ ability to participate in scholarly conversations in theory and action. This poster presents case studies – through Nigerian Literature, African Women Literature, African Folklore and Oral Literature courses at the 100 and 400 levels – of the process and outcomes of this experience, as an offering to the academic community of how this collaboration can yield creative projects that are useful to larger academic audiences. Ultimately, we hope that the students’ contributions to the library’s collection helps to transform their understanding of education, by understanding how their classroom experiences can become tangible resources to various communities.

This article investigates how journalistic arrangements that define themselves as entrepreneurs work on the elements of value proposition, sources of revenue and customer relationships in their business models and how much this reflects on their financial sustainability. As a method of this qualitative-quantitative exploratory research, the initiatives present in the Map of Independent Journalism, by Agência Pública, were categorized into active and closed/inactive. Within the active ones, a screening was carried out to verify which of these were in fact journalistic. For data collection, a questionnaire was applied, with a set of questions organized from the theoretical framework proposed by Osterwalder and Pigneur (2011); Skaggs and Youngt (2003); Amit and Zott (2001); Benvenido (2018); Figaro (2018). As a result, there was a direct relationship between sustainability and dedication of professionals to the profitability of the project and the relationship with the public. In addition, all respondents answered that they invest in efficiency and innovation strategies to create value for the audience. RESUMO Investiga-se como arranjos jornalísticos que se autodefinem empreendedores trabalham os elementos proposta de valor, fontes de receita e relacionamento com clientes em seus modelos de negócio e o quanto isso reflete em sua sustentabilidade financeira. Como método desta pesquisa quali-quantitativa de natureza exploratória, categorizou-se em ativas e encerradas/inativas as iniciativas presentes no Mapa do Jornalismo Independente, da Agência Pública. Dentro das ativas, realizou-se triagem para verificar quais destas eram de fato jornalísticas. Para coleta de dados, foi aplicado questionário, com conjunto de perguntas organizado a partir do referencial teórico proposto por Osterwalder e Pigneur (2011); Skaggs e Youndt (2003); Amit e Zott (2001); Benvenido (2018); Figaro (2018). Como resultados, percebeu-se relação direta entre sustentabilidade e dedicação dos profissionais à rentabilização do projeto e ao relacionamento com o público. Além disso, todos os investigados responderam que investem em estratégias de eficiência e inovação para criação de valor junto à audiência. RESUMEN Investiga cómo los proyectos periodísticos que se definen a sí mismos como emprendedores trabajan sobre los elementos de la propuesta de valor, las fuentes de ingresos y las relaciones con los clientes en sus modelos de negocio y cuánto se refleja esto en su sostenibilidad financiera. Como método de esta investigación exploratoria cualitativa-cuantitativa, las iniciativas presentes en el Mapa del Periodismo Independiente, de Agência Pública, fueron categorizadas en activas y cerradas/inactivas. Dentro de los activos, se realizó un tamizaje para verificar cuáles de estos eran en realidad periodísticos. Para la recolección de datos se aplicó un cuestionario, con un conjunto de preguntas organizadas a partir del marco teórico propuesto por Osterwalder y Pigneur (2011); Skaggs y Youngt (2003); Amit y Zott (2001); Benvenido (2018); Fígaro (2018). Como resultado, hubo una relación directa entre la sostenibilidad y la dedicación de los profesionales a la rentabilidad del proyecto y la relación con el público. Además, todos los encuestados respondieron que invierten en estrategias de eficiencia e innovación para crear valor para la audiencia.

This paper investigates 20 digital native news arrangements in Santa Catarina. The exploratory research aims to find elements on how these arrangements perceive themselves as innovative or not, and how this is strained by the ways in which these initiatives are financed. The results show that part of the researched arrangements can be considered innovative as they are settled down in news deserts and, therefore, supply an information shortage for local populations. On the other hand, economic weaknesses can limit and jeopardize the useful life of these organizations., El artículo investiga 20 proyectos periodísticos nativos digitales en Santa Catarina. La investigación exploratoria tiene como objetivo encontrar elementos sobre cómo los proyectos se perciben a sí mismos como innovadores o no, y cómo esto se ve afectado por las formas en que se financian estas iniciativas. Los resultados muestran que parte de los arreglos investigados pueden considerarse innovadores ya que están instalados en desiertos de noticias y, por lo tanto, proporcionan una escasez de información a las poblaciones locales. Por otro lado, las debilidades económicas pueden limitar y comprometer la vida útil de las organizaciones., O artigo investiga 20 arranjos jornalísticos nativos digitais de Santa Catarina. A pesquisa exploratória tem por objetivo a busca de elementos sobre como arranjos se percebem como inovadores ou não, e de que forma isso é tensionado pelas formas de financiamento dessas iniciativas. Os resultados apontam que parte dos arranjos pesquisados podem ser considerados inovadores à medida que estão instalados em desertos de notícia e, portanto, suprem uma carência informativa de populações locais. Por outro lado, fragilidades econômicas podem limitar e colocar em xeque a vida útil das organizações.

O objetivo central do presente estudo é verificar se aconselhamento financeiro profissional impacta na redução do efeito disposição. Considerando-se uma amostra de, aproximadamente, 30.000 investidores pessoa física que efetuaram negociações de papéis (ações, ETF, BDR, FII) no mercado à vista no Brasil no período de 2015 a 2020, é testado se os investidores venderam, precipitadamente, os papéis que aumentaram em valor e mantiveram as posições de papéis para os quais foram observadas quedas em valor (ou seja, efeito disposição), utilizando-se a metodologia de proporção de ganhos realizada (PGR) e proporção de perdas realizada (PLR). Os resultados empíricos indicam que investidores pertencentes ao grupo com assessoria financeira mais recorrente e especializada apresentam semelhante viés comportamental comparado aos grupos com acesso comparativamente mais restrito à assessoria financeira, não sendo, portanto, possível demonstrar que assessoria financeira exerça um impacto significativo sobre o efeito disposição para a amostra analisada. The main objective of the present study is verifying whether professional financial advisory impacts the disposition effect. Considering a sample of around 30,000 investors who traded equities (stocks, ETF, BDR, FII) in the spot market of Brazil, from 2015 to 2020, it is tested if investors hurriedly sold their equities that increased in terms of price while kept the ones which experienced price reduction (i.e., disposition effect). It is then adopted the proportion of gains realized (PGR) and proportion of losses realized (PLR) methodology. Empirical results suggest that investors who are members of the group with more frequent and specialized professional financial advisory services experience similar behavioral bias in comparison with investors who are members of groups with a comparatively more limited professional financial advisory. Therefore, it is not possible to demonstrate that professional financial advisory significatively impacts the disposition effect within the analyzed sample.

Orientador : Antonio de Azevedo Barros Filho Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Faculdade de Ciências Médicas Resumo: o número de adolescentes com sobrepeso e obesidade tem aumentado nas últimas décadas, constituindo importante fator de preocupação na área de Saúde Pública. Os objetivos do trabalho foram determinar a prevalência da obesidade entre adolescentes da Rede Estadual de Ensino da cidade de Bragança Paulista, SP, avaliar a sua composição corporal, comparar a prevalência da obesidade em diferentes faixas etárias e sexo, relacionar a obesidade com o peso ao nascer e relacionar a obesidade dos adolescentes com o estado nutricional de seus pais. Foi realizado um estudo transversal com 1.334 adolescentes, na faixa etária de 11 a 18 anos, matriculados nas escolas da Rede Estadual de Ensino da 5' série ao 3° colegial, sendo 796 (59,7%) do sexo feminino e 538 (40,3%) do sexo masculino. As variáveis estudadas nos adolescentes foram: sexo, idade (anos completos), cor da pele, escolaridade (ano que está fteqüentando a escola), peso ao nascer (Kg), peso atual (Kg), estatura (em), prega cutânea do tríceps (mm), circunferência do braço (em). As variáveis estudadas nos pais foram: sexo, idade (anos completos), peso atual (Kg), estatura (cm) e escolaridade (número de anos completos que a mãe e o pai fteqüentaram a escola). O diagnóstico nutricional foi feito por meio do índice de massa corpórea -IMC (peso (Kg)/Altura2 (m)), composição corporal (por meio das medidas das pregas cutâneas do tríceps e subescapular, da porcentagem de gordura corporal- equações de SLAUGHTER et ai., 1988 e da área muscular e adiposa do braço - FRISANCHO, 1981) e da Avaliação do Estado Nutricional. Esta foi realizada por meio das medidas anteriores de acordo com indicadores antropométricos recomendados para adolescentes proposto por MUST, DALLAL, DIETZ, 1991 e COLE et ai., 2000. Os resultados encontrados em ambos os critérios mostram uma baixa prevalência de obesidade entre os adolescentes (MUST et ai., 1991: 3,5%; COLE et ai., 2000: 2,5%). Observou-se pelas curvas de crescimento do IMC, das pregas e gordura corporal, que as meninas a partir dos 16 anos diminuem os valores altos, apresentando um estreitamento entre o percentil 75 e 95, enquanto que nos meninos esse afastamento não diminui. Encontrou-se maior prevalência da obesidade em adolescentes que possuem pais (pai e mãe) obesos, quando comparados aos pais com peso normal. Não foi vista associação entre o IMC dos filhos com a escolaridade dos pais e com o peso ao nascer dos adolescentes. Conclui-se que a obesidade não é um problema de Saúde Pública entre os adolescentes da Rede Estadual de Ensino de Bragança Paulista, que a meninas a partir dos 16 anos apresentam uma preocupação com o peso, existe associação do IMC dos adolescentes com o dos pais e uma maior porcentagem de adolescentes obesos quando o seus pais (pai e mãe) também são obesos Abstract: In the last two decades, the number of overweighted and obese teenagers has increased, being this a great concem for the Public Health. This study aimed to determine the prevalence of obesity among teenagers who attend State Schools in the city ofBragança Paulista (SP), to asses their body composition, to compare the prevalence of obesity in two di:fferent age and sex ranges, to establish a relationship between the teenage obesity and birth weight, and teenage obesity and parent nutritional state. It was performed by cross sectional study comprising 1334 teenagers, of age ranging from 11 to 18 years, regularly registered from 5thto 12thgrade, being 796 (59.7%) female and 538 (40.3%) male . For the teenagers the following variables were studied: sex, age (complete years), skin color , educationallevel (grade in which the student is registered), birth weight (K.g),current weight (Kg), height (cm) , triceps skinfold (cm). The variables studied for the parents were: seXoage (complete years), current weight (kg), height (cm) and educational leveI (the number of years both parents have attended school). To accomplish the nutritional diagnostic it was determined the body mass index, (BMI - given by: weight (kg)/height(mi), the body composition (by measuring triceps and subscapular skinfolds, the body fat percentage - according to the equations described in SLAUGHTER et al., 1988, and arm musc1eand fat area - according to FRISANCHO, 1981) and the assessment of nutritional state. The nutritional state evaluation was performed by previous measurements according to the anthropometric indexes recommended by MUST et ai, 1991,andCOLEet al., 2000for teenagers.Results obtainedusing bothcriteria indicateda low prevalence of obesity among adolescents (MUST et a!. 1991 : 3.5%; COLE et aI., 2000: 2.5%). It was observed by the BMI, skinfold and body fat centile curves, that there is a decrease of top values for girls over 16 years, with the percentil values narrowing between 75 and 95; for the boys such reduction was not observed. From the data analyzed, it can be concluded that: obesity is not an issue of Public Health among teenagers of State Schools in Bragança Paulista; girls over16 concem about their weight; there is a relationship between teenagers BMI an the parents index, and the percentage of obesity among teenagers increase when both parents are also obese Mestrado Ciências Biomédicas Mestre em Ciências Médicas

Esta investigação tem como objeto de estudo formas de financiamento que possibilitam a sustentabilidade de meios jornalísticos nativos digitais no Brasil. O debate proposto fundamenta-se em conceitos como o de modelo de negócio, inovação midiática, jornalismo digital, redes sociais e jornalismo, jornalismo independente, jornalismo alternativo e jornalismo nativo digital. Trabalha-se com objeto empírico composto: o Mapa do Jornalismo Independente, publicado em 2016 pela agência Pública, com atualmente 217 iniciativas nativas digitais, e o conteúdo das respostas a questionários aplicados junto aos responsáveis por estes projetos de mídia. O objetivo da pesquisa é discutir, com base nos modelos de negócios de meios jornalísticos nativos digitais existentes, propostas de valor, formas de financiamento e relacionamento com o público que podem se relacionar à sustentabilidade financeira dos projetos mapeados. Esta é uma pesquisa quali-quantitativa de natureza exploratória, cujas ações metodológicas se dividem entre o estudo do Mapa e a aplicação de questionário junto aos responsáveis pelas iniciativas mapeadas. Duas hipóteses orientam a análise desses materiais: 1) a de que muitas das iniciativas de jornalismo digital independente são encerradas ou encontram-se inativas pela dificuldade de se pensar e efetivamente implementar formas de financiamento que possibilitem a sustentação do projeto; e 2) a de que as iniciativas ativas (em funcionamento) que conseguiram estabelecer sua sustentabilidade financeira o fizeram a partir da diversificação de suas formas de financiamento para pelo menos três fontes de receita. Apresenta-se, ao final, além da atualização do Mapa do Jornalismo Independente, a proposição de um quadro de referências dos modelos de negócios de meios jornalísticos nativos digitais brasileiros, observando os elementos: a) proposta de valor, b) fontes de receita e c) relacionamento com clientes. Abstract: This investigation has as its object of study forms of financing that enable the sustainability of digital native news media in Brazil. The proposed debate is based on concepts such as business model, entrepreneurship, media innovation, digital journalism, social media and journalism, independent journalism, alternative journalism and digital native journalism. The research has a composed empirical object: the Map of Independent Journalism, published in 2016 by the ?agência Pública?, with currently 217 native digital initiatives, and the content of the answers to questionnaires applied to those responsible for these media projects. The objective of the research is to discuss, based on the business models of existing digital native news media, value propositions, revenue streams and customer relationship that can be related to the financial sustainability of the mapped projects. This exploratory research has both a qualitative and quantitative approach and the methodology is divided between the study of the map and the application of questionnaires with those responsible for the mapped initiatives. Two hypotheses guide the analysis of these materials: 1) that many of the independent digital journalism initiatives are ended or are inactive due to the difficulty of thinking about and effectively implementing forms of financing that enable the project to be sustained; and 2) that the active initiatives (in operation) that managed to establish their financial sustainability did so from the diversification of their forms of financing for at least three sources of income. At the end, in addition to updating the Map of Independent Journalism, the proposal for a framework of business models for Brazilian digital native journalistic media is presented, observing the elements: a) value propositions, b) revenue streams and c) customer relantionship.

Because of the advent of globalization, traditional models of taxation, linked to state sovereignty, are challenged. By exploiting the gaps and incompatibilities between national tax systems, international tax planning assumes unprecedented relevance, leading to significant loss of revenue for states. The OECD's Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) Project is the main international proposal to change this paradigm. The Plan is subdivided into fifteen actions, which aim to establish coherence, substance and transparency in the tax laws of the states. In this context, the present dissertation has as its general objective to analyze the problem regarding harmful tax competition and how it compromises the fair taxation of wealth in the States, as well as how the solution pointed to the problem, embodied in the Erosion and Profit Shifting Base Plan., has achieved its ultimate goal from the perspective of Brazilian fiscal policy.

Animais de laboratório são cruciais no desenvolvimento científico e biomodelos, como as cobaias (Cavia porcellus), são importantes na cadeia de desenvolvimento, controle de qualidade de vacinas e medicamentos distribuídos no sistema único de saúde (SUS). Conhecer os parâmetros biológicos e fisiológicos é fundamental na criação e manutenção de animais em instalações animais, assim o manejo é adequado sempre que novas informações são conhecidas, visando o bem-estar e alinhamento aos 3R’s. Na busca por conhecimentos dos parâmetros reprodutivos em cobaias, o presente estudo teve como objetivo estudar o início da puberdade, a incidência e frequência do ciclo estral com idade entre 15 e 60 dias em cobaias short hair, além de comparar duas técnicas de coloração. As cobaias apresentam uma membrana de oclusão vaginal, que recobre o acesso ao orifício vaginal, a ruptura ocorre de maneira gradual e natural, momentos antes do parto e no período de cio. No presente estudo foram acompanhadas 42 fêmeas, quanto ao status da membrana de oclusão vaginal e, quando observada a ruptura espontânea, foi realizada coleta em swab para exame colpocitológico. Foi observado rompimento da membrana de oclusão vaginal em 39 das 42 fêmeas acompanhadas, seis fêmeas apresentaram abertura da membrana vaginal com menos de 21 dias de vida. Foram constatadas, ao longo de todo o estudo, 23 fêmeas com caracterização da fase de estro, exame de citologia esfoliativa vaginal, com esfregaço apresentando predomínio de células superficiais anucleadas, uma dessas fêmeas com idade inferior a 21 dias. O tempo de permanência de abertura da membrana de oclusão vaginal apresentou maior frequência entre 1 e 3 dias ininterruptos, a duração do intervalo da abertura da membrana vaginal ocorrendo com maior frequência entre 18 e 19 dias. Foi possível o acompanhamento de 3 períodos de ciclo estral em parte das fêmeas. As duas técnicas de coloração empregadas possibilitou caracterizar e contabilizar os tipos celulares do epitélio vaginal de cobaias. Os resultados do estudo contribuem com novas informações acerca de dados reprodutivos de cobaias, a idade de inicio da puberdade e apontou a necessidade de mudança nas práticas de manejo das cobaias e adequação da idade de desmame usualmente utilizados no ICTB / Fiocruz Laboratory animals are crucial in scientific development and biomodels, such as guinea pigs (Cavia porcellus), are important in the development chain and in quality control of vaccines and medicines distributed in the Unified Health System (SUS). Knowing the biological and physiological parameters is fundamental in the breeding and maintenance of animals in animal facilities, so the management is adequate whenever new information is known, aiming at the well-being and alignment with the 3R's. In the search for knowledge of reproductive parameters in guinea pigs, this study aimed to study the onset of puberty, the incidence and frequency of the estrous cycle aged between 15 and 60 days in guinea pigs Short Hair, in addition to comparing two cytological staining techniques. Guinea pigs have a vaginal occlusion membrane, which covers access to the vaginal orifice, the rupture occurs gradually and naturally, moments before the parturition and in the heat period. In the present study, 42 females were monitored regarding the status of the vaginal occlusion membrane and, when spontaneous rupture was observed, swab collection was performed for colpocytological examination. Disruption of the vaginal occlusion membrane was observed in 39 of the 42 females followed, six females had an opening of the vaginal membrane with less than 21 days of life. Throughout the study, 23 females were found with estrus phase characterization, vaginal exfoliative cytology exam, with smear presenting predominance of anucleated surface cells, one of these females under 21 days of age. The permanence time of opening the vaginal occlusion membrane was more frequent between 1 and 3 days uninterrupted, the duration of the interval of opening of the vaginal membrane occurring more frequently between 18 and 19 days. It was possible to follow 3 periods of estrous cycle in part of the females. The two staining techniques employed made it possible to characterize and account for the cell types of the guinea pig vaginal epithelium. The study results contribute with new informations about guinea pig reproductive data, the age of onset of puberty and pointed out the need to change guinea pig management practices and adjust the weaning age usually used in the ICTB / Fiocruz

CAPES - Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior A cultura de pimenta do reino (Piper nigrum L.) é uma das principais atividades agrícolas no estado do Pará e sofre sérios danos ocasionados pela fusariose, doença restrita ao Brasil. O presente trabalho avaliou a atividade antifúngica in vitro de óleos essenciais de espécies de Piper ricos em fenilpropanóides frente a Fusarium solani f. sp. piperis, agente causal da fusariose. A inibição do crescimento micelial pelo método de difusão em Agar na concentração de 5 mg.Ml-1 foi considerada: baixa para P. aduncum (20,3%) e P. krukoffii (31,4%); moderada para P. callosum (55,7%) e P. marginatum (70,3%) e alta para P. divaricatum (93,3%). Os componentes majoritários identificados por CG-EM foram: dilapiol (92,0%), safrol (78,0%), metileugenol (75,2%) e eugenol (7,9%), apiol (80,0%), Z-isoosmorizol (44,0%) e E-anetol (22,0%), respectivamente. O óleo de P. divaricatum e seus compostos majoritários apresentaram valores CIM de 0,75 mg.mL-1. A avaliação dos efeitos combinados do eugenol e metileugenol apontou o eugenol como principal responsável pela atividade. The culture of black pepper (Piper nigrum L.) is one of the main agricultural activities in Pará State and it suffers serious damages caused by fusariosis, disease restrict in Brazil. This paper evaluated the antifungal activity in vitro of essential oils of species of Piper rich in phenylpropanoid before the Fusarium solani f. sp. piperis, which causes the fusariosis. The inhibition of mycelial growth by the method of agar dissemination in concentration of 5 mg.mL-1 was considered: decrease to P. aduncum (20.3%) and P. Krukoffii (31.4%); moderated to P. callosum (55.7%) and P. marginatum (70.3%) and high to P. divaricatum (93.3%). The major components identified by CG-EM were dilapiol (92.0%), safrole (78.0%), methyleugenol (75.2%) and eugenol (7.9%), apiol (80.0%), Z-isoosmorizol (44.0%) and E-anethole (22.0%), respectively. The oil of P. divaricatum and its major compounds present CIM values of 0.75 mg.mL-1. The evaluation of the effects combined of eugenol and methyl eugenol pointed eugenol as the main responsible by the activity.
