Various factors such as mechanical trauma, chemical trauma, local ischemia, and inflammation can impair voltage-gated sodium channels (Nav) in neurons. These impairments lead to a distinctive leftward shift in the activation and inactivation curves of voltage-gated sodium channels. The resulting sodium channel impairments in neurons are known to affect firing patterns, which play a significant role in neuronal activities within the nervous system. However, the underlying dynamic mechanism for the emergence of these firing patterns remains unclear. In this study, we systematically investigated the effects of sodium channel dysfunction on individual neuronal dynamics and firing patterns. By employing codimension-1 bifurcation analysis, we revealed the underlying dynamical mechanism responsible for the generation of different firing patterns. Additionally, through codimension-2 bifurcation analysis, we theoretically determined the distribution of firing patterns on different parameter planes. Our results indicate that the firing patterns of impaired neurons are regulated by multiple parameters, with firing pattern transitions caused by the degree of sodium channel impairment being more diverse than those caused by the ratio of impaired sodium channel and current. Furthermore, we observed that the firing pattern of tonic firing is more likely to be the norm in impaired sodium channel neurons, providing valuable insights into the signaling of impaired neurons. Overall, our findings highlight the intricate relationships among sodium channel impairments, neuronal dynamics, and firing patterns, shedding light on the impact of disruptions in ion concentration gradients on neuronal function. The increasing energy shortage and environmental pollution make the use of clean and efficient alternative fuels an effective way to solve the emission problem. Diesel from indirect coal liquefied (DICL) is a clean and efficient alternative fuel for diesel engines. The composition and chemical kinetics mechanism of DICL research contributes to a better understanding of combustion and pollutant formation process. The components of DICL were analysed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The proportion of normal alkanes contained in DICL is particularly high, 93.82%, which proves that its reactivity is particularly good. The mixture of n-dodecane and iso-octane was selected as the surrogates of DICL. The oxidation process of DICL surrogates was examined by a jet-stirred reactor (JSR) over the temperature range of 500–890 K. A detailed kinetic mechanism of surrogates encompassing 1356 species and 6008 reactions was constructed. The critical reactions associated with the reactivity of surrogates were adjusted by the sensitivity analysis method to increase the accuracy of mechanism prediction. The predicted value of the improved mechanism is in good agreement with the experimental value. The improved mechanism can reasonably predict the oxidation process and the ignition characteristics of DICL and the improved mechanism can provide a good reference value for the subsequent analysis of combustion and emission problems of DICL. The cathode in lithium-selenium (Li-Se) batteries has garnered extensive attention owing to its superior specific capacity and enhanced conductivity compared to sulfur. Nonetheless, the adoption and advancement of Li-Se batteries face significant challenges due to selenium's low reactivity, substantial volume fluctuations, and the shuttle effect associated with polyselenides. Single-atom catalysts (SACs) are under the spotlight for their outstanding catalytic efficiency and optimal atomic utilization. To address the challenges of selenium's low chemical activity and volume expansion in Li-Se batteries, through electrospun, we have developed a lotus root-inspired carbon nanofiber (CNF) material, featured internal multi-channels and anchored with molybdenum (Mo) single atoms (Mo@CNFs). Mo single atoms significantly enhance the conversion kinetics of selenium (Se), facilitating rapid formation of Li2Se. The internally structured multi-channel CNF serves as an effective host matrix for Se, mitigating its volume expansion during the electrochemical process. The resulting cathode, Se/Mo@CNF composite, exhibits a high discharge specific capacity, superior rate performance, and impressive cycle stability in Li-Se batteries. After 500 cycles at a current density of 1 C, it maintains a capacity retention rate of 82% and nearly 100% coulombic efficiency (CE).
