This article develops a new application of the concept of Impostor Phenomenon (IP) to entire organizations, as opposed to individuals, and outlines the ways in which library environments may be particularly susceptible to experiencing IP. Considering organizational challenges through the lens of IP may help libraries to overcome perceived obstacles and better celebrate collective successes. The authors use the mechanism of Organizational Anthropomorphism (OA) alongside sensemaking and systems thinking to develop the concept of Organizational Impostor Phenomenon (OIP), and then provide a practical guide for identifying possible signs of OIP and introduce strategies to address OIP in the library setting. Introduction: China's environmental policies and the green transformation of its industries have attained paramount significance in the wake of intensifying climate change and soaring carbon emissions, critically shaping sustainable development at both national and international scales. As the exploration of the drivers and outcomes of this green revolution on carbon emissions gains traction as a focal point of research, this study endeavors to assess the effects and their underlying causes. Methods: Utilizing a systems thinking methodology, a dynamic spatial Durbin model was constructed, analyzing statistical data spanning from 2004 to 2021, encompassing 30 Chinese provinces. Results: China's green transformation significantly influences the spatial distribution patterns of carbon emissions across various regions. Discussion: Environmental Protection investment has been effective in curbing carbon emissions from local businesses, yet it may also prompt a relocation of these businesses to neighboring provinces, inadvertently elevating their carbon emissions. Green innovation and the adoption of green energy technologies have proven instrumental in reducing carbon emissions in a region, with positive spillover effects extending to nearby areas. The dynamic spatial Durbin model analysis further underscores the inertia of carbon emissions, indicating that achieving carbon reduction is a process requiring consistent and sustained efforts over the long term. The findings of this study offer valuable insights and recommendations for the government in devising and implementing green transformation policies that align with the dual-carbon target, aiming to achieve a greener and more sustainable future. AbstractPurposeMaterials and MethodsResultsConclusions\nIMPLICATIONS FOR REHABILITATIONThis study aimed to assess the prevalence of literature applying LHS and learning organisation (LO) concepts to rehabilitation, gather definitions and core features, and document their application and resultant organisational changes.We searched five electronic databases and included peer-reviewed qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods studies, reviews, and grey literature in English. Full texts were screened, resulting in 27 included papers.Most of the included papers discussed the concept of LHS, emphasising key aspects like infrastructure and learning mechanisms. However, only a minority described practical implementation (n = 4) or assessed the effects of applying LHS frameworks within rehabilitation settings (n = 1).This scoping review highlights the limited empirical focus on implementing and operationalising LHS frameworks in rehabilitation services. Based on the available literature, we offer recommendations for rehabilitation services transitioning to a LHS. Objective: The study aims to investigate the impact of patient-centric approaches on patient health outcomes, identify key leverage points for enhancing patient-centered care, and evaluate the effectiveness of systems thinking in guiding healthcare transformations. Methods and Procedures: The research utilizes system dynamics methodology, combining qualitative and quantitative data with causal loop diagrams and simulation models. Using Vensim software, the study examines dynamic interactions, feedback loops, and the effects of patient-centric interventions. Sensitivity analysis assesses the impact of variables such as access to healthcare improvements, and social determinants of health (SDOH), providing insights into the systemic behaviors of healthcare models. Results: Simulation analyses demonstrate the effectiveness of patient-centric interventions in improving engagement, satisfaction, communication, and health outcomes. Key leverage points, such as enhanced patient–provider communication and addressing SDOH, are critical for driving sustainable improvements. However, declining trends in outcomes over time indicate the need for adaptive strategies to maintain effectiveness. Conclusions: The study emphasizes the importance of maintaining patient centricity in healthcare settings. By leveraging systems thinking and addressing underlying factors such as SDOH, the research provides actionable insights to enhance care delivery and patient outcomes. In many developing countries, economic growth is often prioritized, sidelining critical issues such as social inequality, pollution, climate change, ocean degradation, and pressing needs for health, education, food, and water management. Traditional linear models in organizations, based on product innovation and hierarchical governance, have been successful in certain contexts but are no longer viable in the face of finite natural resources and environmental degradation. This paper proposes a Systems Approach to Circular Economy as a practical framework for achieving "circular business-driven sustainability", a concept proposed by major global organizations such as COP-25. This approach redefines sustainability, aiming to generate "sustainable wealth increasing returns" that benefit all key stakeholders, including the environment, society, and the economy. The primary objective of this paper is to introduce a new paradigm that facilitates the transition to more conscious, long-term growth. The proposed circular iterative thinking framework shifts from linear, reductionist thinking to a more holistic, systemic vision, underpinned by disruptive sustainable innovation. This novel paradigm creates positive impacts across the economy, environment, and global geopolitics. The paper demonstrates the application of this framework in two case studies, providing concrete evidence of its utility in real-world scenarios, including Heineken's sustainable practices at its Meoqui brewery, which recovered methane for energy use, reduced water consumption, and contributed to local irrigation. In this short paper, we reflect on 'algorithmic management learning' – a phenomenon that dates back to the early twentieth century but has gained fresh impetus in the dawning age of artificial intelligence. In particular, we suggest that management learning has today become a human-machine hybrid. This form of management learning is not only increasingly non-reflexive, it is also impeding the human capacity to be reflexive and to learn reflexively. Rapid infrastructure growth in developing countries has intensified environmental challenges due to cost-prioritizing practices over sustainability. This study evaluates 21 identified sustainable-driving tools to improve the management of infrastructure throughout its life cycle, by interacting with 20 out of 36 key infrastructure system management variables (ISMVs). Using a systems thinking approach, a Sustainable Systems Dynamic Model (SSDM) is developed, comprising a nucleus representing the interconnected stages of the life cycle: planning and design (S1), procurement (S2), construction (S3), operation and maintenance (S4), and renewal and disposal (S5). The model incorporates a total of 12 balance (B) and 25 reinforcement (R) loops, enabling the visualization of critical interdependencies that influence the sustainability of the system. In addition, its analysis shows the interdependencies between variables and stages, demonstrating, for example, how the implementation of tools such as LCA, BIM, and Circular Economy principles in S1, or IoT and SHM in S4, significantly improve sustainability. A gap between theory and practice in the adoption of sustainable practices is identified, which is aggravated by the lack of knowledge in specific developing countries' context. Plastic straw bans have become emblematic of local environmental policy, yet their implementation often overlooks key social justice concerns. This commentary explores Wellington City Council's plastic straw-free initiative, critically examining its implications for the disability community through critical disability theory (CDT). Drawing on systems thinking and post-normal science (PNS), this paper argues that environmental policies must avoid conventional, linear solutions that fail to account for marginalised voices. Complexity leadership is proposed as a framework for navigating adaptive systems like cities, ensuring that sustainability efforts are inclusive and just. By integrating CDT with systems thinking, the commentary highlights the need for policies that balance ecological goals with the lived realities of diverse communities, advancing the discourse on just sustainabillites at the local level.
