Abstract

Numerous techniques are available in literature for finding the multiple roots of nonlinear equations. These techniques are categorized by the their order, informational efficiency and efficiency index. Another important criterion for comparing the techniques is to study their complex dynamics using the graphical tool, namely basins of attraction. In this paper, we consider several techniques of order three and characterize their basins of attraction by applying them on different polynomials. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
