Introduction : Speaking up about safety issues, termed "safety voice," is a proactive response where people across all levels of the organization express their concerns to prevent physical hazards. An understanding of safety voice requires insight into its antecedents. A perceived need to fit in with the organization and fear of consequences can trump the courage to speak out about safety concerns. Safety voice climate can be seen as a manifestation of the social exchanges in an organization and functions as a roadmap of which speaking out behaviors are encouraged and which behaviors are not. This study conceptualizes safety voice climate, presents the Safety Voice Climate Scale (SVCS) as a measurement tool, and gathers initial evidence for its validity. The study also assesses the associations between the SVCS and safety voice behavior. Method : The SVCS and the measurement of safety voice behavior were derived from the Trends in Risk Level in the Norwegian Petroleum Activity questionnaire. The SVCS includes the two theoretical dimensions Work colleagues' encouragement of safety voice and Leaders' attitudes towards safety voice. Psychometric properties were tested with a representative sample from the Norwegian petroleum sector (n = 7,624). Results : Confirmatory factor analyses supported the proposed two-factor model, and the internal consistency of the factors was good. Furthermore, a structural equation model including the SVCS as predictors of safety voice behavior showed a good fit, indicating acceptable criterion validity, although only the Work colleagues' encouragement of safety voice variable was significantly associated with safety voice behavior. Conclusion and practical application : The SVCS can be used as a tool to detect some of the barriers and supporting elements relating to safety voice and guidance on the efforts needed to foster work climates that promote communication of safety issues. Emergent technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) have shown the power to transform the hospitality and tourism industry. There is an increasing need for empirical insight into the antecedents of AI-based tourism and hospitality services. This study expanded the expectation-confirmation model to examine determining factors of customers' future use intentions of AI services. A self-administered online survey was administered to test the new model. 380 responses from tourists and guests who used AI-based services in the prior eighteen months of the survey delivery were analyzed through confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling. The results indicated that confirmation of expectations, perceived enjoyment, and perceived performance were significant predictors of satisfaction with AI and future use intentions. Further, confirmation of expectations and perceived performance were also found to be antecedents of perceived enjoyment. The results highlighted the importance of leveraging the hedonic dimensions and expectation formation to support the adoption of AI. • This paper expanded the expectation-confirmation model to examine key determining factors of customers' continuance intentions of AI-based hospitality and tourism services. • This paper substantiated the direct positive impact of perceived performance and confirmation on consumers' continuance intentions of AI in hospitality and tourism settings. • Perceived performance and consumers' intention to continue to use were partially mediated by perceived enjoyment, highlighting the importance of hedonic attributes for AI applications. • We proposed practical management suggestions for effective strategies to ensure the successful implementation of AI-based services. The paper aimed to investigate the relationship between subjective quality of life (QoL) measured by life satisfaction and two domains: material and non-material. Additionally, the aim is also to compare the effect of these two dimensions on subjective QoL among females and males. The study was conducted based on a representative sample of adult inhabitants of Poland (N=1067) in December 2021. The question regarding the quality of life consists of eight items that were focused on the following aspects of quality of life: work, level of living, income, family life, work-life balance, health, access to infrastructure (sports, cultural), and access to healthcare. These items encompass two dimensions of quality of life: material (level of living, income) and non-material (the other items). Confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling analysis were used in the study. The data do not follow the normal distribution. Therefore, the estimation method was WLSMV (robust weighted least squares). Based on confirmatory factor analysis, it can be stated that two constructs (dimensions: material and non-material) are correlated at an acceptable level. Eight manifested variables are valid and the two constructs are reliable. Structural equation models in the pooled sample and based on gender are at an acceptable level according to the majority of fit indices. Two dimensions – material and non-material – affect positively subjective QoL and are statistically significant. The strength of the influence of two dimensions on subjective QoL is very similar but there are significant differences among women (higher effect of material dimension) and men (higher effect of non-material dimension). Shore power is a green technology used by the shipping industry to abate emissions from vessels berthing in ports. This paper aims to identify industry-related opinions on shore power based on a set of collected data by means of a questionnaire in China. A four-pronged approach is used for this investigation. First, a questionnaire based on more than 50 items of related literature was designed. Second, factor analysis, including exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis, was carried out. Third, a structural equation model was used to test specified hypotheses and identify connections among varied factors, such as technology, application, etc. Finally, other related questions, such as development trends and the influence on shore power of new regulations on use of sulphur, were investigated. The results show that motivation, application, incentive, technology, and recognition all have positive influences on the promotion of shore power with 0.452, 0.398, 0.239, 0.216, and 0.194 standardised factor loadings, respectively. Meanwhile, a unified standard, subsidy/incentive, and implementation/enforcement are considered three urgent measures that can be employed to improve the uptake of shore power. Moreover, in upcoming years, digitalisation of application and payment and decarbonisation are predicted to be two major development trends in the industrial use of shore power. Three-quarters of the respondents thought that a new/lower limit of sulphur emission would boost the use of shore power. • Moral disengagement may affect human drivers' interactions with autonomous vehicles. • Moral disengagement is evaluated with the development of a new scale. • Moral disengagement is affected by personality traits, driving style and attitudes. • Predictors of aggressive driving may apply in interactions with autonomous vehicles. The introduction of autonomous vehicles (AVs) in the road transportation systems raises questions with respect to their interactions with human drivers', especially during the early stages. Issues such as unfamiliarity or false assumptions regarding the timid and safe behaviour of AVs could potentially result in undesirable human driver behaviours, for instance "testing" AVs or being aggressive towards them. Among other factors, morality has been determined as a source of aggressive driving behaviour. Following previous approaches on moral disengagement, the current paper argues that moral standards during interactions of human drivers with AVs could potentially blur, leading to the disengagement of self-regulation mechanisms of moral behaviour. The study investigates the impact of moral disengagement on the intention of human drivers to be aggressive towards AVs. To that end, an online survey was conducted including a newly developed survey of moral disengagement, adapted to the context of AVs. Moreover, measures of personality, driving style, attitudes towards sharing the road with AVs and perceived threats were collected. A confirmatory factor analysis provided support for the concept of moral disengagement in the context of AVs. Moreover, relationships between personality, driving style and attitudes towards sharing the road with AVs were found, via a structural equation modelling approach (SEM). The results could have implications in the future driver training and education programmes, as it might be necessary to not only focus on driving skills but also on the development of procedural skills that will improve the understanding of AVs' capabilities and ensure safer interactions. The lockdown of March and April 2020 declared by Spanish authorities in the Valencian Region to bending the Covid-19 curve, caused a drastic reduction of the economic activity and a severe limitation of mobility. People were asked to stay at home as much as possible. Education and administrative centers, as well as restaurants, theaters, sport arenas, etc., were closed. Work at conventional workplaces was prohibited for people who could tele-work, and students were compelled to attend classes on-line. Such limitation of mobility and spending so many time at home, could affect the wellbeing of people. The objective of the present paper is to present a study on the differences on wellbeing according to the mobility of respondents during the lockdown. Information from 1,827 individuals regarding the satisfaction of the basic psychological needs (Autonomy, Competence and Relatedness) and Positive and Negative affect were collected through and web-survey during the first lockdown of the Covid-19 pandemic, together with mobility data and sociodemographic characteristics. Mann-Whitney U tests, Confirmatory Factor Analyses and Structural Equation models are used to find out differences in the wellbeing of people according to their mobility characteristics during the first lockdown, and how these mobility characteristics are associated to the psychological variables studied. Mobility of people during the first lockdown reduced drastically, especially the youngest ones, and the main travel mode was walking. In general, the youngest participants in this research and females present lower values of the psychological wellbeing variables during the lockdown. A very low or very high degree of mobility is also associated to discomfort, although the more time spent traveling the better people feel. Those who walked more are related to lower values of wellbeing. Some lessons are learned to improve transport and mobility planning during a pandemic. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Although there is a growing interest in the concept of climate justice, both in academia and society in general, there is still no consensus regarding the best models and data to represent it. Thus, the objective of this paper is to test and statistically validate the confirmatory factor model for climate justice. To do this, we applied Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), which designs and tests statistically the significance of a multidimensional theoretical construct. The main results were: a) the individual freedoms derived from the capability approach and the climate actions of adaptation and mitigation were empirically confirmed as viable perspectives for assessing climate justice; b) the theoretical constructs of human development, climate actions and climate justice can be constructed based on a set of 25 indicators; and c) the three confirmatory models were successfully tested to validate a theoretical/measurement model for climate justice. We believe that the results observed will provide policymakers and national governments with a new perspective for the alignment of different types of human development programs with climate change actions, helping them on the establishment of possible links between actions taken at the national level and the definition of global goals. • Presence of synergies between the confirmatory model and the Sustainable Development Goals. • The proposition of definition of Climate Justice based on the Capability Approach. • The 25 selected indicators can guide nations in their transition to a fairer low-carbon economy. The main goal of this paper is to determine the underlying factors that drive the adoption of the Bizum mobile peer-to-peer payment system by users. It is empirically proven that factors included in the extended Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2) model are precursors of the mobile payment adoption. The proposed model modifies the set of constructs by adding trust, security, and perceived risk. The sample consist of 334 Bizum platform users who are mainly young people between 18 and 22 years old. Obtained data was analyzed by a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The results show that the strongest predictor for adopting to use Bizum mobile payment platform is habit, with 75 % of acceptance of young online banking users. But habit and social influence factors show 82.5 % of intention of use among young users. In contrary, performance expectancy, effort expectancy, facilitating conditions, price-value, hedonic motivation, trust, security, and perceived risk do not influence the intention to use this platform. Banks, financial entities, as well as banking platform developers, can benefit from the results of this study by understanding the factors that influence users to use these platforms and consequently successfully implement them. • Habit and Social influence are important predictors in behavioural intentions for using P2P payment platforms. • Habit has a more significant impact than attitude on users' behavioural intention towards P2P payments platforms. • PE, EE, FC, PV, HM, TR, PS, and PR are not significant predictors in behavioural intentions for using P2P payment platforms. The fast growth of the environmental impact of mobility is a significant issue for environmental policymakers. The primary condition of sustainable transport policy is human behaviour. The willingness to use sustainable transport mode is the leading trigger to implement sustainable transport policy successfully. Thus, the aim of this paper is to reveal the most effective tools and the reflection of the actual situation of the contribution of these tools to the sustainable transport behaviour. Referring to the representative survey performed in the transition country, i.e., Lithuania, at the beginning of 2020 and by applying the structural equation modeling, the results showed that the level of sustainable transport behaviour is relatively low. When analysing the impact of the main tools (financial, informational, social and convenience) on sustainable transport behaviour, the results revealed that informational, social and convenience tools were significantly related to this behaviour. Meanwhile, the financial tool insignificantly influenced sustainable transport behaviour. Considering the model of statements about the current situation, only financial and convenience aspects significantly influenced sustainable transport behaviour. The objective of this paper is to evaluate the perception of Lean management practices and its influence on sustainability practices in Higher Education Institutions (HEI). The theoretical background was supported by Lean management and sustainable practices in HEI, which were used to design the research model. The research methodology comprises a quantitative research characterized as a survey, whose data collection was carried out through a questionnaire. The study population was the academic staff of HEI in Brazil and Portugal. A valid sample of 966 valid responses was obtained. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis and, structural equation modeling. The results allowed the evaluation of a significant and positive relationship between the second-order construct, called HEI Lean practices, and the environmental, economic and social practices. A moderating effect was also found as significant between the relation of Lean and social practices. These findings demonstrated the relevance of aspects such as leadership and systemic vision to support staff activities, continuous improvement and waste elimination as a daily practice, long-term thinking and the focus on the student as building blocks of the HEI success in promoting sustainability practices and thinking.
