Abstract
In this paper we consider the use of brand names in language teaching, with the aim of stimulating learners’ interest and support them in the development of linguistic and cultural competence. The study is based on an analysis of data, collected by means of a questionnaire for secondary school language teachers, to ascertain teachers’ perceptions of using brand names in language teaching practice. In order to exemplify these uses, a lesson plan focused on the introduction of brand names in the English classroom is proposed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
