To enhance the quality and efficiency of computer-enabled generation of papers for Test for English Majors Band 8 (TEM-8), a paper generation model supported by sparrow search algorithm-genetic algorithm was studied. First, a simplified test paper generation mathematical model was set up after analyzing and studying types and characteristics of TEM-8 tasks. In the model, quantity, type, difficulty, discrimination degree, scores, exposure, and answering time of test questions were taken into consideration. To enhance the optimizing effect of the genetic algorithm for searching test questions, the traditional genetic algorithm was improved by introducing the sparrow search algorithm into the model to achieve a better crossover rate, variance rate, optimization precision, and speed of the genetic algorithm. A new sparrow search-genetic algorithm (SSA-GA) was designed, and the optimizing effect of SSA-GA was verified to be ideal through optimizing six standard test functions. Then, SSA-GA was applied to conduct experimentation with test paper generation, and comparison with traditional genetic algorithms was also made. The values of best and average fitness of SSA-GA were better than those of the traditional genetic algorithm (GA) in the paper generation. Exposure rate and success rate in TEM-8 paper generation of SSA-GA were higher than those of traditional GA in TEM-8 paper generation. Much literature exists for rock-paper-scissors (RPS) game. It is well known in a single habitat that spatial models are more stable than well-mixed population. However, the mechanism of spatial stabilization has been unclear. In the present article, we study multilayer model of RPS game in a patchy environment; respective patches are set as lattices. The predation probability of one of three species is assumed to be reduced as a parameter. Simulations on two-layer system reveal the opposite result to those on a single-habitat system. Namely, the well-mixed population becomes stable. In contrast, extinction occurs by random migration in spatially-explicit model, when the reduced predation probability is below a certain critical value. The extinction in spatial model is found to be caused by the collapse of a kind of swarm intelligence (SI). In RPS system, large swarms of each species are automatically protected from its predator. Such a self-organized protection is one of the simplest examples of SI. The characterization and modeling of the out-of-plane behavior of fiber-based materials is essential for understanding their mechanical properties and improving their performance in various applications, especially in the forming process. Despite this, research on paper and paperboard has mainly focused on its in-plane behavior rather than its out-of-plane behavior. However, for accurate material characterization and modeling, it is critical to consider the out-of-plane behavior. In particular, delamination occurs during forming processes such as creasing, folding, and deep drawing. In this study, three material models for paperboard are presented: a single all-material continuum model and two composite models using different cohesion methods. The two composite models decouple in-plane and out-of-plane behavior and consist of continuum models describing the behavior of individual layers and cohesive interface models connecting the layers. Material characterization experiments are performed to derive the model parameters and verify the models. The models are validated using three-point bending and bulge tests and show good agreement. A case study is also conducted on the application of the three models in the simulation of a deep drawing process with respect to wrinkle formation. By comparing the simulation results of wrinkle formation in the deep drawing process, the composite models, especially the cohesive interface composite model, show greater accuracy in replicating the experimental results, indicating that a single continuum model can also be used to represent wrinkles. Modelica is a simulation language that is able to model systems from many different fields of scientific and engineering contexts, which can coexist in individual models. Modelica Standard Library is an open‐source library that contains many ready‐to‐use open‐source models built in Modelica language but does not have any code to determine transmission line parameters from its geometry, thus limiting its usability for power system studies. This paper first describes important issues arising when modelling power transmission lines, then presents how they can be solved using Modelica code. Readers of this paper will, therefore, be able to model power lines from the geometry of conductors using any of the existing (some freely available) Modelica‐capable simulation tools. The number of Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layers is continually increasing with the increase in data transmission rates, and the Signal Integrity (SI) of high-speed digital systems cannot be ignored. Introducing Vertical Interconnect Accesses (VIAs) in PCBs can realize the electrical connection between the top layer and the inner layers, however, VIAs represent one of the most important reasons for discontinuity between the PCBs and package. In this paper, a new optimization scheme for a differential VIA stub is proposed, with 3D full-wave numerical simulation used for modeling and simulation. Results show that this scheme optimizes the return loss and insertion loss while making the signal eye diagram more ideal, which can improve the transmission effect of high-speed signals. In silico clinical trials (ISCTs) are an emerging method in modeling and simulation where medical interventions are evaluated using computational models of patients. ISCTs have the potential to provide cost-effective, time-efficient, and ethically favorable alternatives for evaluating the safety and effectiveness of medical devices. However, ensuring the credibility of ISCT results is a significant challenge. This paper aims to identify unique considerations for assessing the credibility of ISCTs and proposes an ISCT credibility assessment workflow based on recently published model assessment frameworks. First, we review various ISCTs described in the literature, carefully selected to showcase the range of methodological options available. These studies cover a wide variety of devices, reasons for conducting ISCTs, patient model generation approaches including subject-specific versus 'synthetic' virtual patients, complexity levels of devices and patient models, incorporation of clinician or clinical outcome models, and methods for integrating ISCT results with real-world clinical trials. We next discuss how verification, validation, and uncertainty quantification apply to ISCTs, considering the range of ISCT approaches identified. Based on our analysis, we then present a hierarchical workflow for assessing ISCT credibility, using a general credibility assessment framework recently published by the FDA's Center for Devices and Radiological Health. Overall, this work aims to promote standardization in ISCTs and contribute to the wider adoption and acceptance of ISCTs as a reliable tool for evaluating medical devices. Research on collaborative manufacturing process modelling and simulation is of great significance in improving production efficiency and product quality, reducing costs, promoting collaborative work, and supporting decision-making. However, current studies have not offered the optimal costs of node enterprises participating in collaborative manufacturing, and ignored the impact of demand uncertainty of suppliers, manufacturers and customers on costs and economic benefits. Therefore, this paper aimed to study the collaborative manufacturing process modelling and simulation of production cost and economic benefit accounting analysis. First, this paper summarized three cost types, conducted cost accounting for the collaborative manufacturing process, and analysed its economic benefits. Second, based on the basic timed automata (TA) model, this paper used a timed input/output automata with port labels (Lp-TIOA) for modelling test cases of the simulation system. The pinhole plate is a key component of the point diffraction interferometer (PDI). The reasonable improvement and simulation of this device would enhance the application of point diffraction interferometry technology during the measurement of wavefronts. The traditional point diffraction interferometry measurement method is easily disturbed by environmental noise, making it difficult to obtain high-precision dynamic measurements. This paper introduces a four-step phase-shift PDI that can be employed in a common optical path. By using the principle of the finite-difference time-domain method (FDTD), a simulation model of the orthogonal polarization point diffraction pinhole plate (OP-PDPP) structure is established. The results show that when Cr is used as the film material in the pinhole plate, the parameters include a film thickness of 150 nm, a pinhole diameter of 2 μm, a wire grid period of 150 nm, and a wire grid width of 100 nm; in addition, the comprehensive extinction ratio of the pinhole plate is the greatest and the diffraction wavefront error is the smallest. Finally, the constructed experimental system is used to test the wavefront of a flat sample with a 25.4 mm aperture, and the test results are compared with those of the ZYGO interferometer. The difference in the peak-to-valley (PV) value between the OP-PDI and the ZYGO interferometer measurement is 0.0028λ, with an RMS value difference of 0.0011λ; this verifies the feasibility of the scheme proposed in this paper. Modular robots carry the unique advantage of changing their shape according to different tasks and environments. In order to study the lightweight and flexible combination characteristics of modular robots, this paper presents a two-degree-of-freedom pluggable modular robot and its simulation method, named SnackBot. SnackBot is composed of several independently operating modules. Each module contains a control unit, a micro battery, and two DC motors that drive the module joints. In order to predict robot actions and monitor the state of the robot, the simulation model of SnackBot is built and a virtual environment is established in Ignition Gazebo. The virtual robot and physical robot are synchronously controlled in the environment of the Robot Operating System 2 (ROS2). Finally, experimental results verify the feasibility of the SnackBot. For the control of the outlet flow rate of a constant-flow water-saving device under different water pressures, this study developed and implemented a custom User-Defined Function (UDF) program to simulate the dynamic motion of the water-saving valve within the Fluent environment. This simulation realistically represents the valve's behavior under varying water pressures, thereby accurately predicting the valve opening height to comply with national regulatory standards. Firstly, a dynamic grid transient CFD simulation model of the water-saving valve was established using a Fluent UDF program written in C language. The parameters of the elastic elements in the water-saving device flow control system were designed to achieve control of the outlet flow rate. Then, the benchmarking analysis of the aforementioned simulation model was completed based on the flow rate test results of the water-saving device. Finally, the relationship between physical quantities and flow field distribution characteristics of the water-saving valve was analyzed under three different water pressures specified in the national standard. Based on the optimization calculations, the valve opening heights under three different water pressures were obtained, ensuring that the outlet flow rates meet the regulatory standards set by the national authorities. As the demand for miniaturization of thermal management systems for electronic devices rises, numerous researchers are dedicating their efforts to the study of single-phase forced convective heat transfer (FCHT) within nanoscale channels. However, investigating FCHT in nanochannels (FCHT-NC) using experimental and theoretical methods is challenging. Alternately, molecular dynamics (MD) simulations have emerged as a unique and powerful technique in recent years. This paper presents a comprehensive review of the application of the MD simulation method in the study of FCHT-NC. Firstly, the current paper reviews various simulation techniques and models, along with their associated primary parameters employed in FCHT-NC, through a detailed and systematic literature survey and critical analysis. Evaluating the current methods and discussing their limitations provide helpful guidelines for future studies. Furthermore, based on the existing literature in the MD simulation, this review outlines all influencing parameters on the performance of FCHT-NC, covering their effects and discussing underlying mechanisms. Finally, key challenges and future research directions are summarized in this review, thereby providing essential support for researchers seeking to apply the MD simulation method to investigate FCHT-NC. Under the condition of grid voltage imbalance, the circulation of the bridge arm inside the modular multilevel converter (MMC) increases significantly, which leads to the aggravation of the distortion of the bridge arm current, and, thus, increases the system loss and reduces the power quality. To address this problem, this paper analyzes the mechanism of circulating current generation and proposes a circulating current suppression strategy based on a reduced-order generalized integrator (ROGI), which firstly uses the ROGI system to separate the second-harmonic positive- and negative-sequence components in the circulating current from the DC, and then converts the rotating coordinates of the circulating current's second octave component into the DC to be fed into the proportional–integral quasi-resonance (PIR) controller for suppression. A simulation model of a 23-level MMC inverter is built in MATLAB/Simulink, and the control strategy proposed in this paper is compared with the classical proportional–integral (PI) control in simulation experiments. The simulation results show that the amplitude of the circulating current fluctuation of the classical PI control is reduced from 90 A to 22 A, and the harmonic distortion rate of the bridge arm current is reduced from 32.56% to 5.57%; the amplitude of the circulating current fluctuation of the control strategy proposed in this paper is reduced from 90 A to 5.7 A, and the harmonic distortion rate of the bridge arm current is reduced from 20.2% to 1.13%, which verifies the effectiveness of the pro-posed control strategy. This paper uses big data technology to extract the electromechanical fault characteristics of metro vehicles and analyze the current situation under different fault conditions to ensure the operation quality and safety of metro operations. It also establishes a simulation model to simulate the current waveform of metro vehicles under different fault conditions and analyze the fault phenomenon. The simulation test results show that: (1) The current waveform of a single transistor with the hard fault is compared with the simulated current waveform under a normal state. The upper part of the A phase current waveform is lost when T1 fails. When T2 fails, the current waveform in the lower half of the C phase current is lost. When T3 fails, the upper half of the B phase current waveform is lost. (2) The current waveform in the hard fault's upper and lower bridge arms will have phase loss. In the T25 fault, the C phase current is completely lost. In the T14 fault, the phase A current waveform is completely lost. In the T36 fault, the phase B current is completely lost. (3) The current waveform of a single transistor with a soft fault is complete, but the overall current amplitude is reduced. When a T1 fails, the A phase current tends to rise first and then fall. Compared to normal, the amplitude of the current decreases, and the peak decreases slightly. (4) The current values of phase B and phase C of the two transistors on the same bridge above and below the soft fault are mostly the same. The phase A current output value decreases in both the positive and negative half cycles. This paper aims to improve the monitoring ability of the monitoring system of electromechanical equipment of metro vehicles, which plays a specific role in maintaining the safety of subway operations and improving the quality of subway operations. The fundamentals of the design and operation of self-priming pumps, as indispensable equipment in industry, have been the focus of research in the field of fluid mechanics. This paper begins with a comprehensive background on self-priming pumps and gas-liquid two-phase flow, and it outlines recent advances in the field. Self-priming pumps within the gas-liquid two-phase flow state and the spatial and temporal evolution of the transient characteristics of self-priming pumps determine the self-priming pump self-absorption performance. Through mastery of the self-absorption mechanism, high-performance self-absorption pump products can be formed to provide theoretical support for the development of products. In current research, numerical simulation has become an important tool for analyzing and predicting the behavior of gas-liquid two-phase flow in self-priming pumps. This paper reviews existing numerical models of gas-liquid two-phase flow and categorizes them. Reviewing these models not only provides us with a comprehensive understanding of the existing research but also offers possible directions for future research. The complexity of gas–liquid interactions and their impact on pump performance is analyzed. Through these detailed discussions, we are able to identify the challenges in the simulation process and summarize what has been achieved. In order to further improve the accuracy and reliability of simulations, this paper introduces the latest simulation techniques and research methodologies, which provide new perspectives for a deeper understanding of gas-liquid two-phase flow. In addition, this paper investigates a variety of factors which affect the operating efficiency of self-priming pumps, including the design parameters, fluid properties, and operating conditions. Comprehensive consideration of these factors is crucial for optimizing pump performance. Finally, this paper summarizes the current research results and identifies the main findings and deficiencies. With the increase in the number of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) satellites and their operating frequencies, richer observation data are provided for the tightly coupled Global Navigation Satellite System/Inertial Navigation System (GNSS/INS). In this paper, we propose an efficient and robust combined navigation scheme to address the key issues of system accuracy, robustness, and computational efficiency. The tightly combined system fuses multi-source data such as the pseudo-range, the pseudo-range rate, and dual-antenna observations from the GNSS and the horizontal attitude angle from the vertical gyro (VG) in order to realize robust navigation in a sparse satellite observation environment. In addition, to cope with the high computational load faced by the system when the satellite observation conditions are good, we propose a weighted quasi-optimal satellite selection algorithm that reduces the computational burden of the navigation system by screening the observable satellites while ensuring the accuracy of the observation data. Finally, we comprehensively evaluate the proposed system through simulation experiments. The results show that, compared with the loosely coupled navigation system, our system has a significant improvement in state estimation accuracy and still provides reliable attitude estimation in regions with poor satellite observation conditions. In addition, in comparison experiments with the optimal satellite selection algorithm, our proposed satellite selection algorithm demonstrates greater advantages in terms of computational efficiency and engineering practicability. The deployment of Electrically Trace Heated Pipe-in-Pipe (ETH-PiP) brings the challenges of reliable protection selection and setting. This paper presents a study of relays and protection function optimization for ETH-PiP systems. The study is based on the developed simulation model of a typical ETH-PiP system. The paper presents simulation studies of physical phenomena occurring during electrical disturbances in the ETH-PiP system and offers detailed analyses applicable to system protection, including detection of disturbances, location, and elimination. Surrogate models have been gradually promoted in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) simulation in recent years, and two typical application scenarios are uncertainty analysis and electromagnetic optimization design. The surrogate model can simulate the forward EMC simulation process as accurately as possible with relatively few sampling points. The choice and number of sampling points will directly determine the accuracy of the surrogate model. The purpose investigated by uncertainty analysis and electromagnetic optimization design is different. How to choose appropriate sampling strategies is worth discussing, but there are very few studies in the field at this stage. This paper applies a cascaded cable crosstalk example to explore the accuracy of the surrogate model under different sampling strategies, which provides a theoretical level of suggestion for the application of the surrogate model in EMC simulation. This paper presents an analytical exploration of sixth-generation (6G) satellite–terrestrial integrated networks, focusing specifically on their applications within air mobility operations, such as those involving unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). As the integration of satellite and terrestrial networks promises to revolutionize mobile communication by extending coverage and enhancing connectivity, this study delves into two critical aspects: link budget analysis and handover and mobility analysis for UAVs. The link budget analysis assesses the communication requirements necessary to ensure robust and consistent connectivity between satellites and UAVs, accounting for factors such as path loss, antenna gains, and power transmission. Meanwhile, the handover and mobility analysis investigates the challenges and solutions associated with UAVs transitioning between different network nodes and layers in a dynamic aerial environment. This paper utilizes theoretical models and simulations to provide insights into the design and optimization of these networks, aiming to enhance the reliability and efficiency of UAV operations in the context of the emerging 6G landscape. The findings propose not only technological advancements in network architecture but also practical guidelines for the deployment of UAVs in complex environments, marking a significant step toward the realization of a fully integrated, satellite-terrestrial ecosystem. Background: Asynchronous observations refer to observations that are obtained at multiple moments. The observation moments of fire fronts may differ throughout an entire wildfire area. Asynchronous observations include historical data, which hinders the effectiveness of data assimilation due to the lack of timely updates on changing fire fronts. Aims: This paper proposed a distributed strategy combined with the Ensemble Transform Kalman filter (ETKF-distributed) for asynchronous observations. It can assimilate fire fronts immediately at any location by using new matching schemes between prediction and observation. Methods: The ETKF-distributed undergoes testing using a wildland fire generated based on real terrain, vegetation, and historical weather data from the local area. In addition, the ETKF and ETKF-centralised proposed in our previous work were employed as comparisons. Observing System Simulation Experiments were conducted to generate asynchronous observation fire fronts. Key results: The benefit of immediate assimilation enables the new method to maintain high accuracy predictions. Conclusions: The allocation of observation resources can be focused in regions with high rates of speed when employing ETKF-distributed. Implications: The ETKF-distributed has high efficiency and adaptability, making it highly promising for implementation in wildfire prediction. Observation composed of data from multiple moments is asynchronous observation, which will bring errors when performing data assimilation. This paper proposes a distributed strategy combined with the Ensemble Transform Kalman filter for asynchronous observation. Evacuation rules for pedestrians in emergencies are of great significance for the design of building exits, exit management, and evacuation facilities. Based on the mixed reality evacuation LVC simulation system we developed, in this paper, three kinds of pedestrian exit selection experiments were carried out, in which the influence of distance and exit selection on pedestrian exit selection was studied. In line with common sense, during the single-factor control tests, the participants preferred the exit with fewer people and at a closer distance. The two-factor combined effect of the above two factors was also studied. It can be found that the participants preferred to choose the least crowded exit with a closer distance for evacuation. Among these two factors, the participants would give priority to the number of people at the exit. In addition, participants show different trajectories for the difference in the number of people at the two exits. Their walking trajectory was close to an arc line in the case of an equal number of people at two exits. The results of this paper provide a theoretical basis for research on designing evacuation facilities and guiding evacuees, and allows us to explore a new approach for mixed reality evacuation research by conducting virtual crowd experiments in a real environment. A lime–sand pile is a three-phase particle composite material composed of a lime matrix, sand, and a loess aggregate at the meso level. Establishing a random aggregate model that can reflect the actual aggregate gradation, content, and morphology is the premise of numerical simulations of the meso-mechanics of lime–sand piles. In this paper, the secondary development of Abaqus 2022 is realized by writing Python 3.12 scripts, and a parameterized three-phase mixed lime–sand pile random meso-spherical aggregate model is obtained. A meso-modeling idea of lime–sand piles is creatively proposed, the integrated-generation algorithm of a spherical aggregate of different materials is written, and the material's properties and mesh generation are given by the algorithm. Finally, a numerical simulation of temperature–expansion statics is carried out using an established mesoscopic model. Under different mixing ratios, the expansion force increases with an increase in the lime proportion. The increase in the expansion force is approximately 45% of that without an increased lime proportion. The simulated expansion forces are 8.81 kN, 12.61 kN, and 18.89 kN, respectively, which are similar to the experimental results for laboratory specimens, and the relative error is less than 3%. In the case of different height ratios, with increases in height, the change in the expansion force is very small, and the relative error between the simulated value and the experimental value is less than 2%, which further verifies the reliability of the mesoscopic random model of lime–sand piles. Between 2014 and 2018, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration conducted the NOAA Satellite Observing System Architecture (NSOSA) study to plan for the next generation of operational environmental satellites. The study generated some important questions that could be addressed by observing system simulation experiments (OSSEs). This paper describes a series of OSSEs in which benefits to numerical weather prediction from existing observing systems are combined with enhancements from potential future capabilities. Assessments include the relative value of the quantity of different types of thermodynamic soundings for global numerical weather applications. We compare the relative impact of several sounding configuration scenarios for infrared (IR), microwave (MW), and radio occultation (RO) observing capabilities. The main results are 1) increasing the revisit rate for satellite radiance soundings produces the largest benefits but at a significant cost by requiring an increase in the number of polar-orbiting satellites from 2 to 12; 2) a large positive impact is found when the number of RO soundings per day is increased well beyond current values and other observations are held at current levels of performance; 3) RO can be used as a mitigation strategy for lower MW/IR sounding revisit rates, particularly in the tropics; and 4) smaller benefits result from increasing the horizontal resolution along the track of the satellites of MW/IR satellite radiances. Furthermore, disaggregating IR and MW instruments into six evenly distributed sun-synchronous orbits is slightly more beneficial than when the same instruments are combined and collocated on three separate orbits. SIGNIFICANCE STATEMENT: The results of this paper are significant because they inform decision-makers about the future configuration of the NOAA's environmental satellite constellation, which serves millions of diverse users. Classical straight-line mechanisms are one of the most interesting, both from a theoretical and practical point of view. In many cases, those mechanisms frequently produce a nearly straight trajectory rather than one perfectly straight. In compliant form, those mechanisms can produce even better results. Compliant mechanism joints' deformability allows engineers to make further modifications. These modifications may improve the mechanism's ability to follow a straight path even further. In order to better describe the uncertainty of renewable energy output, this paper proposed a novel robust optimization method for new distribution systems based on adaptive data-driven polyhedral sets. First, an ellipsoidal uncertainty set was established using historical data on renewable energy output, and a data-driven convex hull polyhedral set was established by connecting high-dimensional ellipsoidal vertices; on this basis, an adaptive data-driven polyhedral set model was established to address the problem of high conservatism in the scaling process of convex hull polyhedral sets. Furthermore, a novel adaptive data-driven robust scheduling model for new distribution systems was established, and a column-and-constraint generation (C&CG) algorithm was used to solve the robust scheduling model. Finally, the improved IEEE-33 bus system simulation verification shows that the robust scheduling model for new distribution systems based on adaptive data-driven polyhedral sets can reduce conservatism and improve the robustness of optimization results. Reusable rockets must rely on well-designed Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) algorithms. Because they are tested and verified in closed-loop, high-fidelity simulators, emphasizing the strategy to achieve such advanced models is of paramount importance. A wide spectrum of complex dynamic behaviors and their cross-couplings must be captured to achieve sufficiently representative simulations, hence a better assessment of the GNC performance and robustness. This paper focuses on of the main aspects related to the physical (acausal) modeling of reusable rockets, and the integration of these models into a suitable simulation framework oriented towards GNC Validation and Verification (V&V). Firstly, the modeling challenges and the need for physical multibody models are explained. Then, the Vertical Landing Vehicles Library (VLVLib), a Modelica-based library for the physical modeling and simulation of reusable rocket dynamics, is introduced. The VLVLib is built on specific principles that enable quick adaptations to vehicle changes and the introduction of new features during the design process, thereby enhancing project efficiency and reducing costs. Throughout the paper, we explain how these features allow for the rapid development of complex vehicle simulation models by adjusting the selected dynamic effects or changing their fidelity levels. Since the GNC algorithms are normally tested in Simulink®, we show how simulation models with a desired fidelity level can be developed, embedded and simulated within the Simulink® environment. Secondly, this work details the modeling aspects of four relevant vehicle dynamics: propellant sloshing, Thrust Vector Control (TVC), landing legs deployment and touchdown. Participating in megaproject experimental tasks would significantly improve the laboratories' industry influence and future competitiveness. Thus, this paper introduces the long-term reputation effects of the incentive model of an experimental resource-sharing platform for megaprojects, which could motivate them to consider future benefits and improve their current efforts. The aim is to incentivize laboratories' resourcesharing behavior more effectively and to increase the amount of resources shared by these laboratories on the platform, thus guaranteeing the long-term sustainability of the platform. It constructs the incentive model by combining dual implicit and explicit incentive mechanisms. It analyses the incentive mechanism of a reputation effect on laboratories compared with the pure explicit mechanism so that the primary conditions for reputation incentives can be obtained to achieve Pareto improvement. Finally, the proposed method is validated in combination with data simulation. The results show that although dual implicit and explicit incentive mechanisms could reduce the information asymmetry between the two sides and increase the efforts of laboratories and the benefits of the platform, the platform should not blindly increase the intensity of these incentives and need to consider the influence of the subsidies of these laboratories' upfront inputs, the degree of sharing and their informatization capabilities. With the advancement of IT technology, intelligent devices such as autonomous vehicles, unmanned equipment, and drones are rapidly evolving. Consequently, the proliferation of defense systems based on these technologies is increasing worldwide. In response, the U.S. Department of Defense is implementing the RMF (Risk Management Framework) to ensure the cybersecurity of defense systems and conducting cybersecurity T&E (test and evaluation) concurrently. However, RMF and cybersecurity T&E conducted during the acquisition phase of defense systems often result in fragmented cybersecurity assessments, excluding the operational environment of the defense systems. This omission fails to account for the complex network integration, data exchange functionalities, and mission-specific requirements in actual cyber attack scenarios. For these reasons, vulnerabilities in defense systems that remain unidentified during the acquisition phase can potentially pose significant cybersecurity threats during operational phases, necessitating substantial costs and efforts for remediation. Therefore, this paper proposes a mission-based cybersecurity T&E model using a Multi-Cyber Range to effectively apply these two systems in a practical manner. The Multi-Cyber Range integrates independently operated cyber ranges into a network to expand the evaluation environment, which better reflects the mission environment of defense systems. The proposed model's effectiveness is validated using a cyber attack simulation system targeting a virtualized arbitrary defense system. The global navigation satellite system radio occultation (GNSS-RO) is an important means of space-based meteorological observation. It is necessary to test the Global Navigation Satellite System Occultation signal receiver on the ground before the deployment of space-based occultation detection systems. The current approach of testing the GNSS signal receiver on the ground is mainly the mountaintop-based testing approach, which has problems such as high cost and large simulation error. In order to overcome the limitations of the mountaintop-based test approach, this paper proposes an accurate, repeatable, and controllable GNSS atmospheric occultation simulation system and builds a load performance evaluation approach based on the ground-based GNSS atmospheric occultation simulation system on the basis of it. The GNSS atmospheric occultation simulation system consists of the visualization and interaction module, the GNSS-RO simulation signal generation module, the GNSS-RO simulator module, the GNSS-RO signal receiver module, and the GNSS-RO inversion and evaluation module, combined with the preset atmospheric model to generate GNSS-RO simulation signals with a high degree of simulation, and comparing the atmospheric parameters of the inversion performance of the GNSS-RO signal receiver with the parameters of the preset atmospheric model to obtain the error data. The overall performance of the GNSS-RO signal receiver can be evaluated based on the error information. The novel approach to evaluate the GNSS-RO signal receiver performance proposed in this paper is validated by using the FY-3E (FengYun-3E) receiver qualification parts that have been verified in orbit, and the results confirm that the approach can meet the requirements of the GNSS-RO receiver performance test. This study shows that the novel approach to evaluate the GNSS-RO signal receiver performance in terms of the ground-based atmospheric occultation simulation system can efficiently and accurately be used to carry out the receiver test and provides an effective solution for the ground-based test of GNSS-RO signal receivers. The research of multiple inspection robots' path simulation planning helps to improve the inspection ability and efficiency of the multi-robot system. This paper studies the problem of cooperative optimization and simulation of multiple robots for multiple inspections in intelligent manufacturing. A dynamic simulation model of the inspection robot is used to construct the state equation of the multirobot inspection simulation system. The square grid is used to decompose the intelligent manufacturing workshop area and simulate the workshop space. With reinforcement learning, a multi-robot patrol simulation system is created for full coverage path simulation planning. In this paper, a modeling method of algorithm-hardware based on SysML is proposed to reduce the difficulty of algorithm-hardware modeling. By using the method, the designers who do not know the knowledge of hardware can also easily build the algorithm-hardware model. In this method, a method of graphical system modeling based on SysML is used, where the elements of the algorithm-hardware model are described by SysML graphical models. Then, the SysML graphical models are converted to Very-High-Speed Integrated Circuit Hardware Description Language. The occurrence of a disaster and the appearance of a new product are items of news that can reach many people rapidly. Decision-makers would like to know how many individuals will obtain such information. In this paper, we study the case in which there are spreaders who think that the news is true and others that claim it is false. We simulate the propagation of a rumour and propose an algorithm for estimating the parameters of the resulting dynamical system. The relation between the parameters defining the simulation and the dynamical system is also studied. With the continuous progress in integrated circuit technology, single-event effect (SEE) has become a key factor affecting the reliability of aerospace integrated circuits. Simulating fault injection using the computer simulation technique effectively reflects the SEE in aerospace integrated circuits. Due to various masking effects, only a small number of faults will result in errors; the traditional method of injecting one fault in one workload execution is inefficient. The method of injecting multiple faults in one workload execution will make it impossible to judge which fault results in errors because the propagation characteristic of SEE and faults may affect each other. This paper proposes an improved multi-point fault injection method to improve simulation efficiency and solve the problems of the general multi-point fault injection method. If one workload execution does not result in errors, multiple faults can be verified by one workload execution. If one workload execution results in errors, a specific grouping method can be used to determine which faults result in errors. One of the main factors in triggering cascading outages is the unexpected tripping of backup protection caused by load encroachment (LE). Hence, LE should be identified quickly to avoid unexpected tripping. This paper proposes a fast LE identification method based on the wide-area measurement system (WAMS), applicable to transmission grids with high wind power penetration. Firstly, based on the improved shortest path algorithm, the method searches for critical lines greatly affected by the LE to determine the collected range of wide-area information. Then, by analyzing the hidden dangers of the existing calculation method for the active power estimation value (APEV) in the power system with wind farms, a fast calculation method of the APEV based on the WAMS is proposed to ensure that the existing LE identification criterion is still applicable in the high-penetration system of wind power. Finally, based on the PSASP platform, the wind farm model is integrated into the IEEE 39-bus New England system for simulation. The simulation results show that the method proposed in this paper can quickly search for the critical line set (CLS) and accurately identify the LE under high wind power penetration, effectively avoiding the unexpected tripping of backup protection and preventing cascading outages. This paper presents a model for determining the availability of continuous systems at open pits using the neuro-fuzzy system. The concept of availability is divided into partial indicators (synthetic indicators and sub-indicators). The presented model in relation to already existing models for determining availability uses a combination of the advantages of artificial neural networks and fuzzy logic. The case study addressed the I ECC (bucket wheel excavator–conveyors–crushing plant) system of the open pit Drmno, Kostolac. In this paper, in addition to the ANFIS model for determining the availability of continuous systems, a simulation model was developed. The obtained results of the ANFIS model were verified with the help of a simulation model that uses certain assumptions about the distribution of failures. This paper was created as a result of several years of field and theoretical research into the availability of continuous systems in open pits, and completes a cycle that consists of several published articles on the subject of modeling the behavior of these systems in real time using a time picture of the state, expert assessment, simulation and AI models, while respecting the multidisciplinarity of the problem (mining technological, mechanical, and information technological aspects). The developed ANFIS model is a key instrument for improving operational efficiency and resource management in the mining sector. Its ability to accurately predict the availability of the ECC system brings not only operational benefits through reduced downtime and optimized maintenance, but also a potential reduction in overall costs at coal open pits. Virtual synchronous generator (VSG) technology has achieved some results in distributed generation networks and enhanced system stability. For problems that may occur in the system due to ignoring parameter linkages, this paper designs a synergistic controller that establishes the connection between the active frequency and the reactive voltage control loop based on synergy theory. As the output of the synergetic controller, the derived control law u is added to the power frequency control in the form of negative feedback. Two disturbance forms, a step disturbance, and a three-phase short-circuit fault, are set up. The conventional droop control and synergetic droop control results are compared using a MATLAB simulation system. Then, the system parameter variations were studied and analyzed, and the sensitivity of the control system with different values of parameters K1, K2, and K3 in the case of a three-phase short circuit was analyzed, which provides a reference guide for selecting parameters in later control optimization. Finally, the control effectiveness of a multi-machine VSG system was tested. In recent years, automated guided vehicles (AGVs) have been widely adopted to automate material handling procedures in manufacturing shopfloors and distribution centers. AGV scheduling is the procedure of allocating a transportation task to an AGV, which has large impacts on the efficiency of an AGV system with multiple AGVs. In order to optimize the operations of multi-AGV systems, AGV scheduling decisions should be made with consideration of practical issues such as buffer space limitations and battery charging. However, previous studies have often overlooked those issues. To fill this gap, this paper proposes a simulation-based multi-AGV scheduling procedure for practical shopfloors with limited buffer capacity and battery charging. Furthermore, we propose three kinds of rules: job selection rules, AGV selection rules, and charging station selection rules, for AGV scheduling in practical shopfloors. The performance of the rules is evaluated through multi-scenario simulation experiments. The FlexSim software v.2022 is used to develop a simulation model for the experiments, and the experimental findings indicate that the job selection rules have larger impacts on the average waiting time than the other kinds of rules. Effectively correcting the image path of tennis serve can improve the level of tennis training and competition. When correcting the image path of the tennis serve, it is necessary to mark the corners of the error points according to the characteristics of rotating multidimensional characteristics of the serving action. The traditional method adopts the critical node control method to realize the extraction of limb features and complete the path correction of the serving image. The error points of the process are marked, which reduces the accuracy of the path correction. Based on the deep learning model, this paper proposes an optimization modeling method for tennis serve image path correction and builds a visual feature acquisition system for tennis serve action based on remote video monitoring. The processing method designs the edge segmentation algorithm for the collected visual images and, on this basis, marks the corner points of the error points of the serving action and realizes the optimal modeling of the path correction of the tennis serving image. In this paper, the DLT algorithm and MSDLT algorithm are compared first, and then, the DLT algorithm is compared with the algorithm in this paper. The results show that the success rate of this method is about 92%, while the success rate of DLT algorithm is only about 82%. This algorithm has obvious advantages. The method in this paper is used to correct the action shape of the tennis serving action, which has better real time and accuracy and superior performance and can accurately track the visual edge information feature points of the player during the serving process. When addressing a decision making problem with incomplete preference relations, missing information could be estimated by proposing an optimization model. The previous studies always focus on a unique solution to optimization models through a software program. But theoretical and simulation investigations of multiple solutions are seldom considered. This paper investigates the existence of multiple solutions to an optimization model and proposes a simulation procedure. First, an optimization model is recalled for completing incomplete fuzzy preference relations. It is the first time to theoretically prove the existence of multiple solutions to the optimization model under various incomplete entries. The obtained results reveal that the optimal solution to an optimization model may be an interval value, which is dependent on the number and position of missing entries in an incomplete fuzzy preference relation. The idea of multiple solutions is further extended to the situation where an intransitive fuzzy preference relation should be adjusted to a weakly transitive matrix. Second, multiple solutions to the optimization model are simulated using the quantum-behaved particle swarm optimization algorithm. It is found that multiple solutions do appear under some conditions by only running the algorithm for multiple times. Finally, the impact of multiple solutions on the optimal alternative(s) of a decision making problem is analyzed by comparing with the existing studies. In this paper, we explore the physical propagation environment of radio waves by describing it in terms of distant scattering clusters. Each cluster consists of numerous scattering objects that may exhibit certain statistical properties. By utilizing geometry-based methods, we can study the channel second-order statistics (CSOS), where each distant scattering cluster corresponds to a CSOS, contributes a portion to the Doppler spectrum, and is associated with a state-space multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) radio channel model. Consequently, the physical propagation environment of radio waves can be modeled by summing multiple state-space MIMO radio channel models. This approach offers three key advantages: simplicity, the ability to construct the entire Doppler power spectrum from multiple uncorrelated distant scattering clusters, and the capability to obtain the channels contributed by these clusters by summing the individual channels. This paper addresses the problem of the geothermal energy generation process in a depleted gas reservoir with a specific enhanced geothermal system, applying CO2 as an energy transporting medium. Constructed models of the system components are used to perform coupled and dynamic simulation forecasts, taking into account the interdependence of the individual system elements operating in a cyclical fluid flow and the continuous changes in temperature, pressure, and the composition of circulating fluids. The simulation procedure of the geothermal energy generation process is applied to the realistic example of a depleted gas reservoir located in Foresudetic Monocline, Poland. The simulation results are presented in detail and discussed with several conclusions of both case-specific and general characters. Three phases of the energy recovery process can be distinguished, varying in the produced fluid composition and the evolution of the fluid temperature. These phases result in the corresponding behavior of the produced stream power: increasing, stable, and decreasing for the three phases, respectively. Other significant results of the simulation forecasts are also discussed and concluded. In general, the complexity of the obtained results proves the necessity to apply the system's detailed modeling and simulations to reliably plan and realize a geothermal energy generation project. This paper presents an innovative and cost-effective solution for the absolute localization of mobile robots using ultrasound beacons. The proposed system addresses the challenge of precise positioning within a controlled environment by employing Differential Time-of-Flight (ToF) measurements to determine the relative distances between the robot and optimally placed beacons. Unlike other ToF methods that require synchronization pulses, the proposed approach eliminates this requirement, significantly simplifying the setup and reducing system complexity. Furthermore, the system achieves a higher sampling rate than conventional synchronization-based systems, enhancing real-time performance. Detailed analysis and simulation demonstrate the system's ability to provide accurate and reliable localization. Various methods have been discussed in the literature regarding enabling the over-current (OC) capability of silicon carbide (SiC) MOSFETs. SiC MOSFETs can operate at up to 250 °C without failure. One of their features is to permit transient operation at elevated temperatures. This is possible if the stress on the gate oxide and packaging can be kept to a level that can be handled. This paper, instead, investigates the potential of enabling the OC capability of SiC MOSFETs by modifying the gate-source voltage. Since the on-state resistance ( R D S (o n) ) of SiC MOSFETs decreases with an increase in the gate voltage ( V G S ), the conduction losses can be decreased by increasing the V G S . Experiments and simulations have been performed to predict the R D S (o n) with the increase in V G S . It is found that the simulation models provided by manufacturers can be used to predict R D S (o n) accurately even outside the specifications, hence facilitating the precise estimation of conduction losses. It is also concluded that V G S can be increased during OCs in order to keep the conduction losses within the safety limits. A simple concept for implementing this function on a gate driver is also proposed with the additional functionality of increasing the V G S during OC by measuring the on-state voltage of the MOSFET. The purpose of this paper is to study the application of virtual simulation technology in the measurement of subway train tracking performance. Firstly, the safety braking model required by virtual reconnection technology is discussed around the operation simulation and performance measurement of virtual reconnection. The two trains are combined into "one virtual reconnection train set", the tracking train and the head train run with relative moving block, and the two run with the front train set with moving block. Then, according to the characteristics of Metro train tracking operation, a virtual reconnection model and an improved station tracking model are proposed for the bottleneck area of the station. Finally, the proposed model is verified by numerical calculation and computer simulation modeling. The simulation results reproduce the dynamic characteristics of train flow during metro train operation. The results show that the departure interval and minimum tracking interval of the train are all 58 s. The improved station tracking model has the moderate passing capacity as the relative moving block, and the virtual reconnection model has the largest passing capacity. Introduction: Salinity is a key variable in the dynamic and thermal balance of the entire climate system. To address the complexities of diverse terrains and fluctuating ocean waves, we commonly use free-surface models with quasistationary (e.g. height, pressure, or terrain following) coordinates for simulating salinity. In such models, the vertical grid dynamically adjusts with the undulation of seawater. However, this adjustment also occurs when freshwater enters or exits the ocean. Freshwater-induced salinity changes at the ocean's surface are artificially distributed to each vertical layer within a model time step. This means that the freshwater at the ocean surface instantaneously and directly affects the seafloor. This process is different from physical diffusion processes. The diffusion effects caused by the influx and outflow of freshwater have a very small impact on the seafloor. This error leads to salinity non-conservation and disrupts the vertical distribution structure of salinity. Previous studies have also addressed this issue with solutions such as the vertical Lagrangian-remap method. Method: This paper proposes a natural vertical distribution calculation scheme (NVDCS) which is different from the approaches of our predecessors. In the discrete formulation of the original ocean equations, freshwater flux is introduced to ensure salinity conservation. In each model time step, by calculating the seawater volume changes due to freshwater inflow or outflow, as well as the vertical grid changes caused by sea surface undulations, the aforementioned artificial error is eliminated from each vertical layer. Discussion: This scheme ensures that changes in the vertical coordinates of each layer result solely from internal oceanic dynamic processes, avoiding the instantaneous and directly impact of surface freshwater. Ultimately, the influence of freshwater is confined to the ocean surface. Results: This method is straightforward to implement and user-friendly. Sensitivity experiments indicate that in free-surface models, quasi-stationary coordinates introduce artificial errors. The proposed calculation scheme not only eliminates this error but also achieves a better vertical distribution structure than using virtual salt flux, while ensuring salinity conservation. This paper uses grounded theory research methods to conduct a multi-case study to summarize six influencing factors of the intelligent manufacturing transformation of Chinese pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprises; and then analyzes the correlation between the intelligent manufacturing influencing factors based on the DEMATEL method and the NK model, and identifies the key influencing factors according to this, and then draws the fitness landscape map of the intelligent manufacturing transformation, and finally arrives at the optimal path selection of the intelligent manufacturing transformation of pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprises. The study enriches and extends the research paradigm of intelligent manufacturing transformation, and provides lessons for pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprises to realize intelligent manufacturing transformation and upgrading. In order to improve the measurement accuracy of mutual inductance parameters of transmission lines in the environment of double circuit power lines without power outage, this paper establishes simulation models for measuring mutual inductance parameters of transmission lines using the different frequency method in two modes: equal and unequal zero sequence self‐parameters of two circuit lines, using a parallel zero sequence coupling model of double circuit power lines. In the article, simulation analysis is conducted on the line parameters with a coupling coefficient between 0.4 and 0.6 and a line length of 20–50 km. In order to further verify the correctness of the simulation model and measurement methods, a test bench was established based on the principle of line mutual inductance parameter testing in a laboratory dual circuit line without a power outage environment for experimental testing. By comparing the test values under experimental conditions with the standard values, it has been proven that the model and method can meet the actual measurement requirements of engineering.
