To assess the efficiency of AI methods in finding radiographic features in Endodontic treatment considerations. This review was based on the PRISMA guidelines and QUADAS 2 tool. A systematic search was performed of the literature on cases with endodontic treatments, comparing AI algorithms (test) versus conventional image assessments (control) for finding radiographic features. The search was conducted in PubMed, Scopus, Google Scholar and the Cochrane library. Inclusion criteria were studies on the use of AI and machine learning in endodontic treatments using dental X-rays. The initial search retrieved 1131 papers, from which 24 were included. High heterogeneity of the materials left out a meta-analysis. The reported subcategories were periapical lesion, vertical root fractures, predicting root/canal morphology, locating minor apical foramen, tooth segmentation and endodontic retreatment prediction. Radiographic features assessed were mostly periapical lesions. The studies mostly considered the decision of 1–3 experts as the reference for training their models. Almost half of the included materials campared their trained neural network model with other methods. More than 58% of studies had some level of bias. AI-based models have shown effectiveness in finding radiographic features in different endodontic treatments. This paper is centred around the topic of Image Processing in Bharatnatyam, specifically based on the identification and classification of eye movements in classical Indian dance forms. These eight eye movements, also known as dhristi bedas, are extremely significant in the portrayal of the dance form and convey distinct emotions when acted out by the dancer. It would be very beneficial for Bharatnatyam students and avid classical dance enthusiasts to be able to easily identify the eye movements performed by a dancer so they can understand the story being conveyed. Hence, this paper aims to develop an algorithmic system using artificial intelligence and deep learning to process a dance video as input data and display the category of eye movements performed by the dancer in the video. The framework of the system is as follows: A convolutional neural network is developed with multiple layers and the frames from the video data undergo various stages in our methodology such as pre-processing, feature extraction and mapping the recognized patterns using the softmax activation function to each eye movement. The implementation of our proposed algorithm is done using Tensorflow and Keras. The past few decades have witnessed remarkable progress in the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) in medicine, notably in medical imaging. The application of ML to dental and oral imaging has also been developed, powered by the availability of clinical dental images. The present work aims to investigate recent progress concerning the application of ML in the diagnosis of oral diseases using oral X-ray imaging, namely the quality and outcome of such methods. The specific research question was developed using the PICOT methodology. The review was conducted in the Web of Science, Science Direct, and IEEE Xplore databases, for articles reporting the use of ML and AI for diagnostic purposes in X-ray-based oral imaging. Imaging types included panoramic, periapical, bitewing X-ray images, and oral cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). The search was limited to papers published in the English language from 2018 to 2022. The initial search included 104 papers that were assessed for eligibility. Of these, 22 were included for a final appraisal. The full text of the articles was carefully analyzed and the relevant data such as the clinical application, the ML models, the metrics used to assess their performance, and the characteristics of the datasets, were registered for further analysis. Recently, deep learning (DL) based dynamic security assessment (DSA) methods have been very successful. However, although a DSA model can be trained well for a specific topology, it often does not perform well for other topologies. Since the topology in real‐world power systems is frequently changing, the performance reduction of DL‐based DSA methods is very serious, which is a challenging and urgent problem. This paper proposes a novel DSA method based on a convolutional neural network (CNN) to solve this problem. In the proposed method, a strong yet simple domain adaptation approach named adaptive batch normalization (AdaBN) is used, which significantly enhances the extensibility and generalizability of the DSA model when the topology changes and eliminates the need to train a large number of models. This approach achieves a deep adaptation effect by modulating the statistics from the source domain to the target domain in all batch normalization layers across the model. Unlike other domain adaptation methods, this method is parameter‐free, requires no additional components, and has advanced performance despite its simplicity. In addition, this paper introduces TGAN‐based data augmentation to deal with the difficulty of costly data collection and labelling. This data augmentation makes the proposed model applicable to small databases. The test results of the proposed method on IEEE 39‐bus and IEEE 118‐bus systems show that this method can evaluate system dynamic security during topology changes and in the face of data noise with high accuracy. The paper presents a dynamic model of the TMM-3M heavy mechanized bridge during the span lowering stage. The model is constructed as a multi-body mechanical system, taking into account the elastic deformation of the cable, rear outriggers, front tires, and front suspension system. It is a mechanical model driven by a cable mechanism. Lagrangian equations of the second kind have been applied to establish a system of differential equations describing the oscillations of the mechanical system and serve as the basis for investigating the dynamics of the span-lowering process. The system of differential equations is solved using numerical methods based on MATLAB simulation software. The study has revealed laws of the displacement, velocity, and acceleration of components within the mechanical system, especially those related to the bridge span depending on the choice of the drive speed of the engine during lowering by operator. The research results show that the lowering time increases from 52 seconds to 104 seconds when the engine speed decreases from 1800 rpm to 900 rpm. The tension force on the cable is surveyed to confirm the safety conditions during the span-lowering process. The study also provides recommendations for selecting appropriate engine speeds to minimize span-lowering time while ensuring the safety conditions of the TMM-3M bridge during the span-lowering process. This research is an important part of a comprehensive study on the working process of the heavy mechanized bridge TMM-3M to make practical improvements, aiming to reduce deployment time, decrease the number of deployment crew members, and increase the automation capability of the equipment. Plastic deformation forming with metal pipe blanks by contact blast loading inside pipes is an interesting moldless forming technique, also a complex and error-prone process. Some advantages are very characteristic of this forming technique such as no cost of mold, tooling and low energy consumption, no complicated control equipment compared to other forming techniques such as casting, rolling, tube hydrostatic forming, bending - welding. Up to now, the calculation and design of this forming technique mainly use some existing reference empirical formulas, so the experimental results are only suitable in the range of small pipe diameters, and still there are significant deviations for larger pipe diameters. In order to increase the predictability and accuracy of forming process by contact blast loading inside large pipes, this paper presents a study on the influence of the mass of highly explosive material - TNT to the forming ability of large steel pipes from API-5LX-42 mild steel materials by modern 3D numerical simulation using Abaqus/Cae software. Four output criteria with maximum values are used to evaluate the efficiency of this forming process, includ- ing maximum diameter of the blast zone (Dmax ≤2*Do), Von Mises stress (Smax ≤UTS), Hoop plastic strain component (PE22 max ≤1), and Pipe wall thinning rate (€7-max ≤60%). The results of this research on the plastic deformation forming process using numerical simulation can be used for the next experimental step to evaluate the difference between simulation and experiment, as well as use this data in the calculation and design of pipe products with circular or square cross-sections to save both time and money of trial and error before application in actual manufacturing. Retained surgical items (RSIs) pose significant risks to patients and healthcare professionals, prompting extensive efforts to reduce their incidence. RSIs are objects inadvertently left within patients' bodies after surgery, which can lead to severe consequences such as infections and death. The repercussions highlight the critical need to address this issue. Machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) have displayed considerable potential for enhancing the prevention of RSIs through heightened precision and decreased reliance on human involvement. ML techniques are finding an expanding number of applications in medicine, ranging from automated imaging analysis to diagnosis. DL has enabled substantial advances in the prediction capabilities of computers by combining the availability of massive volumes of data with extremely effective learning algorithms. This paper reviews and evaluates recently published articles on the application of ML and DL in RSIs prevention and diagnosis, stressing the need for a multi-layered approach that leverages each method's strengths to mitigate RSI risks. It highlights the key findings, advantages, and limitations of the different techniques used. Extensive datasets for training ML and DL models could enhance RSI detection systems. This paper also discusses the various datasets used by researchers for training the models. In addition, future directions for improving these technologies for RSI diagnosis and prevention are considered. Activation functions play a crucial role in enabling neural networks to carry out tasks with increased flexibility by introducing non-linearity. The selection of appropriate activation functions becomes even more crucial, especially in the context of deeper networks where the objective is to learn more intricate patterns. Among various deep learning tools, Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) stand out for their exceptional ability to learn complex visual patterns. In practice, ReLu is commonly employed in convolutional layers of CNNs, yet other activation functions like Swish can demonstrate superior training performance while maintaining good testing accuracy on different datasets. This paper presents an optimally refined strategy for deep learning-based image classification tasks by incorporating CNNs with advanced activation functions and an adjustable setting of layers. A thorough analysis has been conducted to support the effectiveness of various activation functions when coupled with the favorable softmax loss, rendering them suitable for ensuring a stable training process. The increasing prevalence of malware targeting android mobile devices has raised significant concerns regarding user privacy and security. In response, effective methods for malware classification and detection are crucial to protect users from malicious applications. This paper presents an approach that leverages deep learning techniques and explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) for android mobile malware classification and detection. Convolutional neural networks (CNNs) are deep learning model that has shown impressive performance in several application areas, including image and text classification. In the context of android mobile malware, CNNs have shown promising results in capturing intricate patterns and features inherent in malware samples. By training these models on large datasets of benign and malicious applications, accurate classification can be achieved. To enhance transparency and interpretability, XAI techniques are integrated into the classification process. These techniques provide insights into the decision-making process of the deep learning models, enabling the identification of critical features and characteristics that contribute to the classification results. A total of 26 relevant papers were shortlisted for a review based on a keyword search of academic databases. The review looked at the literature relating to the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, and other related fields to understand the current advances in digital intelligence. It considers the impact that digital intelligence has had on society in terms of economic, political, and social implications. The review also considers potential ethical concerns related to digital intelligence and its use in the age of artificial intelligence. Gravitational wave research presents a range of intriguing challenges, each of which has driven significant progress in the field. Key research problems include glitch classification, glitch cancellation, gravitational wave denoising, binary black hole signal detection, gravitational wave bursts, and minor issues that contribute to the overall understanding of gravitational wave phenomena. This paper explores the applications of artificial intelligence, deep learning, and machine learning techniques in addressing these challenges. The main goal of the paper is to provide an effective view of AI and deep learning usage for gravitational wave analysis. Thanks to the advancements in artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques, aided by GPUs and specialized software frameworks, these techniques have played a key role over the last decade in the identification, classification, and cancellation of gravitational wave signals, as presented in our results. These days, Internet coverage and technologies are growing rapidly, hence, it makes the network more complex and heterogeneous. Software defined network (SDN) revolutionized the network architecture and simplified the network by separating the control and data plane. On the other hand, machine learning (ML) and its derivations have made the systems more intelligent. Many pieces of research papers have addressed ML and SDN. In this survey, we collected the papers published in Springer, Elsevier, IEEE, and ACM and addressed SDN and ML between 2016 and 2023. The research papers are organized based on the solutions, evaluation parameters, and evaluation environments to help those working on SDN and ML for improving the target functional or non-functional parameters. The research papers will be analyzed to extract the solutions, evaluation parameters and environments. The extracted solutions, evaluation parameters and environments will be clustered in this review paper. The research gap and future research directions will be stated in this work. The current generation, known as generation Z (Gen Z), is a generation that lives and is familiar with information technology in everyday life, including but not limited to learning purposes. Gen Z is characterized by teamwork in cyberspace and solving problems. Gen Z can also adopt artificial intelligence (AI) technology as their learning tool. Meanwhile, Gen Z faces the challenge of acquiring 21st-century skills requiring higher-order thinking (HOTS). This paper will focus on learning skills, especially critical thinking (CT). For this reason, it is essential to improve the competency of CT skills in Gen Z by using a model that combines the 7E learning cycle with peeragogy learning approach and adopting the latest AI applications as a tool. This model will contribute to the theoretical and practical use of AI apps for education, particularly the role of correct utilization of AI. Additionally, it can be misused to improve learning skills, especially CT skills. The results carried out in class show AI's effectiveness in improving CT skills for Gen Z, especially the role of AI in the back-end learning process, namely to verify and validate understanding. This paper suggests that AI apps should be controlled if used in the front-end learning process, especially at the exploration stage, to improve CT skills.
