- Abstract
Blonanserin is a second-generation atypical antipsychotic agent with potent affinity to dopamine D2 and D3 receptors and serotonin 5-HT2 A receptor,and with low or negligible affinity for adrenergic α1,serotonin5-HT2 C,histamine H1,and muscarinic M1 and M3 receptors.It is effective in both positive and negative symptoms of schizophrenia,and improves some domain of the cognitive symptoms and social functions of patients.Based on the evidences and clinical experiences of several Chinese and Japanese experts,the article aimed to provide a comprehensive,objective,and reasonable medication recommendation for clinical psychiatrists and help patients with schizophrenia to recover and return to society at the earliest.
