Despite continuous efforts to enhance the operational efficiency of power plants dependent on these fuels, fossil fuels are expected to remain a significant global energy source in the coming decades. India has initiated a mission program to establish Advanced Ultra Super Critical (AUSC) power plants operating at temperature and pressure exceeding 720°C and 30.4kPa respectively. These plants are anticipated to utilize specialized materials with high resistance to corrosion and deformation at elevated temperatures. Among the materials considered, Nickel-base alloys, Creep Strength Enhanced Ferritic (CSEF) Steels and Austenitic Stainless Steels have emerged as the primary candidates. The prime emphasis of this paper is directed towards examining the weldability of Austenitic Stainless Steels utilized in AUSC power plants. It encompasses various aspects such as the choice of filler materials, welding techniques, and the attributes of welds involving both similar and dissimilar metals. The paper provides a comprehensive review of weldability challenges encountered in Austenitic Stainless Steels, including issues like liquation cracking in the heat-affected zone (HAZ), hot cracking, and stress relaxation cracking induced by tramp elements. Additionally, it investigates the performance of different filler wires, namely ER304HCu, ERNiCrCoMo-1, and ERNiCrMo-3, in weld joints involving 304HCu SS tubes, as well as ERNiCrCoMo-1 in dissimilar tube weld joints between 304HCu Stainless Steel and Alloy 617M. Worldwide, harmful emissions from coal power plants cause many illnesses contribute to premature deaths burden. Despite its high impact on human health and being a major source of toxic pollutants, coal has been considered a component of global energy for decades. Hence, this work was envisaged to understand the rising environmental and multiple health issues from coal power plants. Studies on the adverse impacts of coal power plants on the environment, including soil, surface water, groundwater and air, were critically evaluated. The health risk from exposure to different pollutants and toxic metals released from the power plant was also demonstrated. The study also highlighted the government initiatives and policies regarding coal power operation and generation. Lastly, the study focused on guiding coal power plant owners and policymakers in identifying the essential cues for the risk assessment and management. The current study found an association between environmental and human health risks due to power generation, which needs intervention from the scientific and medical fields to jointly address public concerns. Because of urbanization, demand for housing is increasing day by day in India. Traditional clay brick leads to resource scarcity and environmental pollution. To overwhelmed this problem, manufacturing of bricks was done using the waste of thermal power plants like Fly Ash along with Sand and Cement (FAS-C Brick) as key ingredients. Fly ash is an Industrial by-product of thermal power plant. An experimental study of mix-design was carried out to increase the quality of the FAS-C brick. This paper attempt to formulate the mix design of fly ash based brick by process planning. Laboratory tests were conducted to determine the compressive strength and water absorption of the bricks. The main objective of the research study was to design the Fly Ash, Sand, Cement (FAS-C) brick and find the compressive strength using different mix design methods as a part of quality improvement process. In these post COVID times, the world is going through a massive restructuring which India can use to its benefit by attracting foreign industrial investment. The major requirement is a reliable and ecofriendly electrical power source. Of late, renewable energy sources have increasingly become popular as alternative source of electricity. They can provide immense aid in improving the reliability of the power system, when placed properly. The alternative integrated energy sources along with FACTS devices can provide a promising future for reliable power systems. In this paper, an effective location for the solar power unit and Interline Power Flow Controller using Line Severity Index is proposed in order to avoid contingencies. An Indian 62 bus system and IEEE 57 bus system are considered for the study. The Firefly algorithm is used to tune the IPFC in the Integrated Energy Systems scenario, for a dual objective function. As the exhaust rate of the conventional sources has geared up already, this is compelling the power industries to install the power plants based on the non-conventional sources so that future demand of the energy supply can be fulfilled. Among the various sources of renewable energy like wind, hydro, tidal etc., solar energy is the most easily accessible and available renewable energy source. Ensuring the feasibility of any energy source not only technical but also the economical perspective is the most important criteria. This paper has incorporated both the perspective and has done the techno-economic analysis to determine the optimum combination of the PV array size and battery size to minimize the overall electricity generation per unit. In this paper, a standalone solar PV system has been analyzed for the location of Jamshedpur, where an effort has been done to choose the optimum combination of the solar array and battery size within the desired range of LLP so that the electricity generation cost per unit can be minimized. According to the Tamil Nadu Energy Development Agency (TEDA) in the 2019-20 academic year, the wind power plant produces 23% of the biomass power supply in the Indian electrical commodities. To maintain the power withstanding capability needed for future electrical commodities, a yearly power shutdown program is implemented. An additional wind power plant unit will be erected and create more electricity, thereby balancing India's commercial electricity needs. Even in a nonstationary working environment, continuous monitoring and analyzing the efficiency of wind turbines is a more difficult task. Consequently, in this paper, a health index calculation for wind power plants is proposed utilizing neurofuzzy (NF) modeling. Wind generator efficiency can be measured mathematically by recording three crucial primitivistic such as observed rotation speed, generation wound temperature, and gearbox heat. Fuzzy rules are used to design the parameters of the neural network (NN), and the accumulated signal is compared using the nonlinear extrapolation approach to determine the wind generator's behavior and evaluate the hazards. During the experimental study, two windows of 24 hours and 60 hours are used, where the deviation signal required for the hazard induction is investigated. The proposed approach can accurately calculate the wind generator's health state. There is a need for non-renewable energy sources in generation of power for almost every domestic and commercial purposes. This source of energy helps in the development of a country. Because of the increasing usage of the fossil fuels and depletion of these resources, our focus has been shifted towards the renewable sources of energy like solar, water and wind. Therefore, in the present scenario, the usage of renewable sources has been increasing rapidly. Selection of a solar power plant (SPP) requires environmental factor, local terrain, and local weather issues. Thus, a large amount of investment is required for installation. Multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) is a method that identifies one in choosing the best sites among the other proposed options. This paper gives a detailed study of optimal ranking of SPP site using analytical hierarchy process (AHP), multiple layer perceptron (MLP) neural network trained with back propagation (BP) algorithm and genetic algorithm (GA). Three SPP sites of India were considered and various important criteria like local weather, geographical location, and environmental factors are included in our study as SPP site selection is a multi-criteria problem. Power system operation has become more complex with larger use of renewable energy sources, strict requirements of environmental controls, and need to maintain adequate security and stability norms. To meet the environmental norms now, Flue-Gas Desulphurization (FGD) plants have to be installed in old thermal power plants. With larger share of wind and solar energy resources, flexible operation of conventional thermal and hydro power plants is needed. Solar based microgrids provide an environmentally benign alternative to conventional generation. However, their capital intensive structure and variability compels comprehensive examination of planning scenarios. This paper presents a bi-stage planning framework for a solar-battery microgrid. In the first stage of planning, sizing is carried out for autonomous operation. The second stage extends analysis to grid connected mode wherein four cases of microgrid operation are investigated. The analysis involves techno-socio-economic evaluation of constrained and unconstrained power flow. The parameters such as risk state probability, unmet load fraction, levelized cost of energy and social cost of carbon are used to evaluate and compare different cases for a solar-battery based microgrid located in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, India. The results demonstrate that storage integration is essential for sustaining reliability in autonomous operation of microgrid. In the hilly regions of India, hydro power potential is available, but it is not completely utilized for power generation till date due to the unavailability of proper electrical structure. Nine micro/mini hydro power plants have been developed in the bageswar district in Uttarakhand. The development of the optimized Mini-grid structure is an effective and reliable solution for the full utilization of these MHPs potentials. Although Ajit Singh et al. proposed some Mini-grid structures for this area, their work is not appropriate due to their calculation method of reliability. For the determination of reliability (failure and repair time), they have considered only the line length. However, its demographic situations such as elevation level of MHPs, availability of roads, the presence of obstacles like streams will also affect the failure and repair time. This paper proposes an optimized Mini-grid structure for interconnection of these nine MHPs and load substations. All the MHPs are spreads in two blocks, namely Kapkote and Bagheswar, so two substations (load canters) are considered. These MHPs and substations are mapped through the Google Earth software and the optimization data such as distances between MHPs and substations, their elevation levels, the highest and lowest elevation in the connecting path and the path profile are collected through it. The Mini-grid structure is optimized through the Genetic Algorithm using the MATLAB tool. The present paper deals with the economic viability of a coal-fired power plant (CFPP) situated in the northern part of India. The plant with a capacity of 250 MW at various load conditions has been evaluated from an economic point of view. The present worth method is used for the evaluation of CFPP. Revenue earned, operating cost, fuel cost, insurance cost, maintenance cost, pumping cost and net present value are evaluated w.r.t interest rate, number of employees, and plant life. The payback period and the impact of various factors on plant net present value is assessed by taking plant life as 30 years. With the increase in interest rate, all the cost decreases for fixed plant life of 30 years. However, operating cost increases with the increase in the number of employees. Also, with the increase in plant life, all type of cost increases, however after 25 years, the net present value starts decreasing according to the present study. The result of this study concludes that the payback period of the plant is 10 years. It is expected that the outcomes of this case study will be beneficial for future researchers. Retiring coal plants as part of a decarbonization strategy has started to become a reality in the last five years and is reflected in the least-cost plans of many countries. However, major issues go beyond the scope of such planning, including commercial contracts, markets and asset stranding. This paper proposes a new model formulation that endogenously calculates stranded assets taking into consideration commercial and market issues. It can be used to develop insights into economic and financial issues surrounding stranded costs of coal retirement. An illustrative example around the existing 209 GW coal fleet, including an aging part of the coal fleet of 100 GW, in India is used to show how the model can be implemented with relative ease. A second case study is constructed for the Philippines, which has a much younger and uniform coal fleet. Comparing and contrasting the two case studies is valuable for understanding the critical drivers of stranded costs. • Achieving decarbonization requires finding estimates of stranded coal plant assets. • Proposed model provides a practical way for policymakers, regulators, and planners. • The model can be built off the country/utility generation expansion plans. • For India, the stranded asset costs do not exceed $0.45 m/MW. • For Philippines stranded costs do not exceed $0.4 m/MW for both price regimes. Power is a basic need for growth and progress as well as quality of life in any country. Power consumption per capita in India is low with a substantial shift in mode of power generation. Not only in India but at a global level also power generation focus is on renewable energy sources. In thermal power generation, award and execution of O&M service contracts play a crucial role with higher cost contribution which directly affects power generation. Systematic analysis and thorough understanding of difficulties faced at every stage would bring thought to develop solutions and better practices and hence would increase productivity in performance and cost optimization. This article provides an overview of recent advancements in the design and performance of flat plate solar collectors (FPSCs) for solar thermal power plants. The article highlights various strategies that have been explored to improve the efficiency of FPSCs, including the use of Micro Heat pipe Arrays, nano-materials, phase change materials, and novel tube geometries. The study emphasizes the importance of keeping costs low while improving overall collector efficiency and highlights the research gap in distinct aspects of FPSCs for heat enhancement. The article concludes that these advancements have the potential to significantly increase the use of solar thermal power, which could play a critical role in reducing our dependence on fossil fuels and mitigating climate change. This study examines the power potential and carbon emission reduction capabilities of solar collectors in India, taking into account the local climatic conditions and geographical location. The study also identifies major challenges and opportunities in the current research domain. To combat the adverse environmental effects of fossil fuel burning for power generation and to conserve it for strategic use, new, clean, and renewable energy sources are being utilized for power generation. The study presents techno-economic analysis of a grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant to partially meet the energy consumption of the people of Kuttiady village in Kerala, India. The proposed 2315.5 kW installed capacity PV is found to be feasible for the village and can produce 3878.3 MWh of energy annually while the demand is 4044.86 MWh at a plant capacity factor of 19.1% and cost of energy of 290.73 $/MWh. The performance of the proposed PV plant measured in terms of final yield (4.59 h), reference yield (5.64 h), and performance ratio (82%) is compatible and even higher with many such plants in India and other countries. Economic sensitivity analysis is also performed by varying the interest, discount, and inflation rates to check their effect on cost of energy, benefit cost ratio, and payback period. As the interest and discount rates decrease, the cost of energy and payback period also decreases while benefit cost ratio increases. In recent years, there has been a focus on clean power generation, and it is critical to assess the environmental impact of novel technologies used in pollution control in power generation. The study uses life cycle assessment (LCA) to assess the environmental impacts of coal-fired thermal power plants with different emission control techniques in an Indian scenario. As there are no such studies available in the Indian context, this work might provide a holistic view of the impacts of energy generation. A supercritical coal-fired plant with a capacity of 660 MW is considered in this study. The system boundary included coal extraction, transportation, power plant operation, and transmission losses of electricity with a functional unit of 1 kWh. It was observed that there was an energy penalty due to the power consumed in emission control devices, but the maximum energy penalty was due to the power used in the carbon capture system. The LCA is done from "cradle to gate", with impact indicators at the mid-point evaluated using the RECIPE (H) 2016 LCIA method. LCA results showed that power plant operation is the most significant contributor to environmental impact. Initially, in cases 1 and 2, climate change (CC) potential was a major impact category, but CC potential was reduced with carbon capture and storage, 0.27 kg CO2 eq. in case 3 with ESP, FGD, SCR, and carbon capture and storage (CCS) and 0.263 kg CO2 eq. in case 4 with ESP and CCS. But there was a considerable increase in the majority of the impact categories in case 4. Freshwater consumption potential increased from 3.98 E−03 m3 in base case 1 to 4.98 E−03 m3 in case 3 due to the amount of water used in chemical production during CCS, as CC potential is a major concern in power generation, However, compared to case 1, the potential for climate change increased in case 2, whilst in case 4, the potential for climate change is lower but has resulted in an increase in the majority of impact categories. Solar energy is going to be a major component of global energy generation. Loss due to dust deposition has raised a great concern to the investors in this field. Pre-estimation of this reduced generation and hence the economic loss will help the operators' readiness for efficient and enhanced economic energy management of the system. In an earlier article, a physics–based model is proposed for assessment of dust accumulation under various climatic conditions which is validated by data of a single location. In this paper, the universality of this model is established and is used to demonstrate the effect of generation loss due to dust deposition and of cleaning. Variation in the soiling pattern due to climatic covariates has also been studied. Generation loss is calculated for Solar Photovoltaic power plants of different capacities at various locations in India. Finally this model has also been extended to predict the generation accounting for the soiling loss in Photovoltaic system. Many places are dealing with the problem of water scarcity, especially in the summer months. This occurs mostly in the dry areas with hot climates that are exposed to intensive solar insolation which are the main driver for the evaporation of water. Some companies that are in charge of water service, and are operating open water reservoirs, have developed a solution to cover the water with floating balls to limit the solar insolation and to mitigate the evaporation of water. Another good approach is using floating solar panels for the same cause, which will provide an additional power source. It can enhance the productivity of hydropower plants with reservoirs. An additional benefit of the solution is the amount of the available water surfaces for placing the solar panels, instead of potentially useful areas for other purposes (agriculture, buildings ...). This paper reviews the current development of the technology, potentials, and best practices. It shows that this technology is feasible and can compete with other power sources, considering the cheapest LCOE being 46 USD/MWh for a 50 MW power plant in Uttar Pradesh, India. This study investigates the possibility of applying a large-scale solar updraft tower power plant in India with local ground conditions as an environmentally friendly and economically viable energy source. A reference model Solar Updraft Tower Power Plant (SUTPP) is constructed to examine the influence of the most prominent plant dimensional parameters, including collector radius (RCollector), tower height (HTower), and tower radius (RTower) with dimensional limits and intervals on the power output of the SUTPP. Udat, Rajasthan, India, is used as a reference location for meteorological conditions to evaluate SUTPP power output equations for a ranging power output, with position coordinates of 27°35′ and 72°43′. Multiple simulations for the objective function are carried out, and the outcomes are compared to the optimized dimensions of each set of plants. The model examines the effect of variation in ambient, plant geometry, and material conditions on power output and analyzes efficiency and power output for optimizing configuration. There exists no definitive approach to determining the proper correlation between the geometrical parameters of a SUTPP with optimized power output. For a fixed power output, the tower radius (RTower) serves as the most influencing dimensional parameter in SUTPP performance. A change in tower height (HTower) has a detrimental impact on SUTPP output and performance. An initial increase in collector radius (RCollector) has a positive influence on SUTPP performance; however, this effect reduces as collector radius (RCollector) increases. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A large number of Indian thermal power plants are tied under power purchase agreements with distribution companies. However, the existing energy models do not account for these 'take or pay' contracts for investigating climate policies. In this context, this paper investigates the impact of these power purchase agreements on power sector operations, cost of electricity and emissions from the Indian power sector. An optimization model was developed for this study with 620 coal, 239 gas, 21 nuclear and 686 hydro units with technology and operational characteristics to analyze electricity dispatch for power sector. The operations of thermal power plants were analyzed with and without power purchase agreements, and low carbon policy scenario. The scenarios are compared for power plant operations, cost of electricity, stranded assets, and emissions. The results show that there is a significant cost advantage for plants covered under power purchase agreements which favors the operations of older inefficient power plants in baseline scenarios. In addition, the representation of power purchase agreements raises the cost of electricity by 26 percent. A change in operating strategy from least cost to least emissions with a lower demand growth scenario can mitigate 24 percent emissions. The cost of carbon abatement is 268–277 USD/tonne for policy scenarios. The past three decades have witnessed the dramatic expansion of global biomass‐ and fossil fuel‐fired power plants, but the tremendously diverse power infrastructure shapes different spatial and temporal CO2 emission characteristics. Here, by combining Global Power plant Emissions Database (GPED v1.1) constructed in this study and the previously developed China coal‐fired power Plant Emissions Database (CPED), we analyzed multi‐scale changes and underlying drivers from the globe to the unit in generating capacities, age structure, and CO2 emissions over the past 30 yr. Our estimates show global CO2 emissions from the power sector increased from 7.5 Gt in 1990 to 13.9 Gt in 2019, and the growth of power demand meeting by large and young units mainly drives this increase for all stages. However, regional drivers were broadly different from those affecting global trends. For example, the critical roles of thermal efficiency improvement (accounting for 20% of the decrease in CO2 emissions) by eliminating small and low‐efficient coal‐fired units and fossil fuel mix (61%) by developing natural‐gas‐ and oil‐fired units were identified in preventing CO2 emission increases in the developed regions. By contrast, the decrease of fossil fuel share by speeding up the expansion of renewable power gradually demonstrates its importance in curbing emissions in the most of regions, especially including the developing economies (i.e., China and India) after 2010. Our multi‐scale results of 30 yr emission variations indicate the structure optimization and transformations of power plants is paramount importance to further curb or reduce CO2 emissions from the power sector. Plain Language Summary: The power sector is the top CO2 emitter and accounts for 37% of global anthropogenic emissions, which has great significance for climate change. Our combined database shows that the capacity of global fossil‐fuel‐ and biomass‐fired power plants experienced a substantial increase, mainly driven by the growing demand of power generation during the past three decades. In contrast to 133.3% increase of power capacity, global CO2 emissions of power plants increased by 85.3% during the period 1990–2019, and the disproportionately low increase of emissions benefited from the upgrade of coal‐fired power units and the large‐scale expansion of non‐coal‐fired ones with low/zero carbon intensity. Specifically, global power plant fleet turnover improved the power generation efficiency and optimized the fuel mix by constructing large and technologically advanced power units, slowing the growth rate of global CO2 emissions in 1990–2019. Moreover, changes in the critical role of fossil fuel power were associated with regional economic growth, environmental policy and technological advances, indicating that the expansion of non‐fossil‐fuels will likely represent an increasing factor in driving future CO2 emission reductions from the power sector. Background: Workplace hygiene is vital in controlling infectious diseases in industries. The factors like unhealthy environment, unhygienic workplace, and contact between healthy and disease-affected employees cause industrial hazards in workplaces. Objectives: This study assessed various components of workplace hygiene among industrial workers. Materials and Methods: A quantitative survey has been conducted in a steel, and power industry limited in Odisha. The study surveyed 425 male contractual workers for primary data on workplace hygiene. Probability proportion to sample technique adopted for justification of the sample. The univariate and bivariate analysis models have been done according to the study's objective. Results: Nearly 92% of respondents reported proper use of washing facilities, and 97% used toilet and urinal appropriately. One-fourth of respondents use personal disinfected clothing, and 92.2% have access to safe drinking water. The factors such as education, technical education, and occupation are significantly associated with respondents' use of washing facilities, dining hall, personal protective clothing, safe drinking water, proper cleaning, and sanitation at the workplace. Coal-fired energy generation is the backbone of India's power sector and considered a driver of its economic development. However, it is associated with detrimental environmental and health impacts in India and its fleet is currently struggling with overcapacity and inefficiency problems. One solution to address these challenges is the early retirement of some of India's coal-fired power plants. In this paper, we introduce multidimensional indices that identify plants for retirement based on comprehensive criteria that include technical and economic characteristics of plants as well as their environmental impacts. We implement an ensemble approach, where we formulate 8008 indices based on all possible combination of seven relevant parameters and rank plants accordingly. This approach facilitates a comprehensive analysis of the plants' performance on different parameters and provides a new outlook on plant retirements that differs from the common approach of retiring plants based solely on technical characteristics such as age, capacity, and heat rate. Our results show that top plants recommended for early retirement are typically 7 years older, 13% more expensive and have around 40% higher population exposure to emissions compared to an average plant in India. We estimate the potential costs saved from the retirement of the worst-performing 50 GW of generating capacity to be $21 billion resulting from shifting ownership towards a cheaper cost of capital and replacing coal by more competitive sources such as solar power. • Identify plants for early retirement based on technical, economic and environmental indicators. • Worst performing 50 GW capacity are older, more expensive to operate and have higher population exposure. • Costs saved from retiring 50 GW capacity and replacing them with solar are $21 billion. • A multidimensional approach is essential for a politically feasible phaseout of coal. The Renusagar thermal power plant is one of the most important power plants supplying electricity to the entire Hindalco Industry in Northern India. This plant causes soil and groundwater contamination due to the disposal of its fly ash in the Bicchari ash pond. An attempt has been made to characterize the ash pond and to study soil and groundwater contamination adjacent to the fly ash pond. In total, 11 groundwater samples and four samples each for the ash pond and soil were collected and analyzed to evaluate the impact of the pond on nearby soil and groundwater. Results show that the pond ash is a heterogeneous mixture of magnetic and nonmagnetic (such as mullite and quartz) compounds. Scanning electron microscopy of the pond ash reveals that most of the minerals present are spheroidal in shape, and a smaller size indicates the presence of silica. X‐ray fluorescence analysis of the soils reveals that in most of the samples zircoline has a relatively higher concentration, whereas silica is the major part of SiO2. Most groundwater samples are acidic, with an average pH of 6.73, which decreases the leaching of heavy metals. The concentration of Ca, Mn, and Fe is relatively high. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

We examine the role of regulatory independence on electricity generation performance in India. Electricity generation in India is exposed to several regulatory jurisdictions with varying levels of regulatory independence. Based on the level of regulatory independence, we classify Indian coal fired power plants into two groups, and evaluate their performance over the period 2005–14 using the non-radial directional distance function model in a meta-frontier framework. We find that plants under relatively less independent state regulators are more inefficient than plants under the largely independent central regulator. Differences in independence between state and central regulators account for nearly half of the inefficiency of plants under the state regulation. Regression analysis reveals that the channels of causation of regulatory independence on plant performance are through its effects on coal consumption and electricity generation. Our results suggest the need for two policy interventions: (1) providing greater independence to state regulators for bridging the performance gaps between plants subject to different regulators, and (2) a more forward-looking norm setting process through the use of benchmarking techniques by identifying best practices and performance among plants. A liquid desiccant-based evaporative air-conditioning system (LDeACS) is one of the excellent alternatives to conventional vapour compression refrigeration system. The liquid desiccant (LD) requires less thermal energy at low temperatures for regeneration, therefore, the use of renewable (solar) energy is a promising source for the regeneration of LD. The prime motive of the research is to assess the applicability of novel solar still (SS) regenerated LDeACS for an office located at tropical savanna humid climate using numerical simulation. The novel solar still provides the combined function of a regenerator and LD heater. The simulation was carried out to evaluate the performance of sub-components of proposed LDeACS by varying the various input operating conditions (inlet mass flow rate of LD; inlet temperature of LD; temperature of absorber plate of SS) of SS. For the simulation, the mathematical model of sub-components of the proposed LDeACS is interlinked using commercial equation solver software. Simulated results indicated that the proposed LDeACS is capable to provide the required human comfort conditions. The parametric analysis of the system revealed that variations in performance parameters of sub-components of LDeACS are more sensitive to the inlet mass flow rate of LD at SS. An increment in the inlet temperature of LD at SS indicates an adverse effect on the performance indices of LDeACS. An increase in absorber plate temperature of SS enhances performance of SS, contrary to expectations, it degrades the performance of the dehumidifier. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
