Objectives: To test the hypothesis that cardiovascular diseases and risk factors are associated with ulcer relapse in after‐retirement patients with recurrent aphthous stomatitis. Subjects and Methods: This retrospective cohort study analyzed the data of 40 minor recurrent aphthous stomatitis patients aged 55–75 years, admitted to Oral Medicine Clinic at one university hospital in China between 2016 and 2018. The diagnosis of minor recurrent aphthous stomatitis was made based on the history and manifestation of oral ulcers. The ulcer relapse was evaluated after a 5‐week anti‐inflammatory treatment, and the history of systemic diseases was collected. cardiovascular disease/metabolic risk referred to the presence of any cardiovascular diseases and metabolic cardiovascular disease risks. Associations among cardiovascular diseases, risk factors, and ulcer relapse were evaluated. Results: The mean age of 40 patients with minor recurrent aphthous stomatitis was 62.4 years (SD 5.1), and 60% were women. The ulcer relapse rate was 37.5% (95% CI, 0.242–0.530). The proportion of cardiovascular disease/metabolic risk was higher in the relapse group than in the no‐relapse group after 5‐week anti‐inflammatory treatment (Fisher's exact test, p = 0.041). Conclusions: According to this single‐center experience, older patients with cardiovascular disease/metabolic risk may be more prone to oral ulcer recurrence. The Huashandong W deposit (7.7 Mt @ 0.26% WO3) is a newly discovered Neoproterozoic scheelite-dominated deposit in the world-class Jiangnan tungsten belt, South China. It occurs largely in metasedimentary rocks near the western margin of the Neoproterozoic Jiuling batholith and mainly consists of W-bearing exogreisen, hydrothermal breccias, and quartz veins. Two episodes of Neoproterozoic granite magmatism are identified with zircon U-Pb ages of ca. 830–823 and 807–804 Ma, respectively. According to cross-cutting relationships and mineral assemblages, two periods of hydrothermal alteration and W mineralization, corresponding to the two episodes of granite magmatism, are recognized in the Huashandong deposit. The early period is dominated by greisenization and associated scheelite mineralization whereas the late period is characterized by sericitization, hydrothermal brecciation, quartz veining, and associated scheelite and minor wolframite mineralization. Molybdenite Re-Os dating indicates that the early- and late-period W mineralization took place at ca. 828 and 800 Ma, respectively. Zircon trace element characteristics suggest that the Jiuling granite crystallized from reduced granitic magmas and has the potential for W mineralization. The petrologic and geochemical features of the Jiuling granite, coupled with the zircon U-Pb ages and Hf isotopic signatures and molybdenite Re-Os ages, imply that the Huashandong W deposit is genetically related to two phases of evolved granodiorites in the Jiuling batholith. Background: Growth chart is a valuable clinical tool to monitor the growth and nutritional status of children. A growth chart widely used in China is based on the merged data sets of national surveys in 2005. We aimed to establish an up-to-date, complete growth curve for urban Chinese children and adolescents with a full range of ages. Methods: Using data collected in a large-scale, cross-sectional study (Prevalence and Risk factors for Obesity and Diabetes in Youth (PRODY), 2017–2019), we analyzed 201,098 urban children aged 3 to 18 years from 11 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities that are geographically representative of China. All participants underwent physical examinations. Sex-specific percentiles of height-for-age and weight-for-age were constructed by Generalized Additive Models for Location Scale and Shape (GAMLSS) model. We also compared the median values of height-for-age or weight-for-age between our growth chart and the established growth reference using Welch-Satterthwaite T-Test. Results: Consistent with the established growth reference, we observed that the P50 percentile of height-for-age reached plateaus at the age of 15 years (172 cm) and 14 years (160 cm) for boys and girls, respectively. In addition, boys aged 10 ~ 14 years and girls aged 10 ~ 12 years exhibited the most dramatic weight difference compared to those of other age groups (19.5 kg and 10.3 kg, respectively). However, our growth chart had higher median values of weight-for-age and height-for-age than the established growth reference with mean increases in weight-for-age of 1.36 kg and 1.17 kg for boys and girls, respectively, and in height-for-age of 2.9 cm and 2.6 cm for boys and girls, respectively. Background: Cryptosporidium spp., Giardia duodenalis and Enterocytozoon bieneusi can cause important intestinal diseases in ruminants. However, data on the distribution of these three protozoan pathogens in Tibetan sheep are limited. Methods: We collected 761 fecal samples from Tibetan sheep across four seasons in Qinghai Province, China, and screened the samples for Cryptosporidium spp., G. duodenalis and E. bieneusi using PCR-based sequence analysis of the genes encoding 18S ribosomal RNA, triosephosphate isomerase and the internal transcribed spacer, respectively. Results: The positivity rates of Cryptosporidium spp., G. duodenalis and E. bieneusi in Tibetan sheep were 3.68% (28/761 samples), 1.58% (12/761) and 6.44% (49/761), respectively. Four species of Cryptosporidium were identified: C. xiaoi (n = 13 samples), C. ubiquitum (n = 8), C. bovis (n = 6) and C. ryanae (n = 1). Two G. duodenalis assemblages, namely the A (n = 2 samples) and E (n = 10) assemblages, were detected. Five zoonotic E. bieneusi genotypes were found: BEB6 (n = 21 samples), COS-I (n = 14), CHS3 (n = 11) and CGS1 (n = 2) from group 2, and PIGEBITS5 (n = 1) from group 1. Geographic differences in the distribution of E. bieneusi, and seasonal differences for all the three protozoan pathogens were noted. Conclusions: Our results elucidate the prevalence and genetic diversity of these three pathogens in Tibetan sheep across different regions and seasons, including zoonotic pathogens such as C. ubiquitum, C. ryanae, G. duodenalis assemblage A and five genotypes of E. bieneusi. The key to China's regional high-quality development lies in county-level coordination and promotion. Therefore, based on 2847 county-level administrative units in China, this paper uses empirical analysis methods such as dynamic spatial panel Dobbin model and intermediary effect model to study.Then we test the relationship between the industrial structure of county innovation capacity and regional development of high quality. The results showed that (1) the regional development of high quality at the county level in China was generally distributed in clusters, and the agglomeration had a further trend of strengthening. (2) The innovation ability and industrial structure also had a positive effect on the regional development of high quality at the county level, and the result was significant. (3) Innovation had both direct and indirect effects on regional development of high quality. Township health centers play a cornerstone role in the primary healthcare in China while it's development is largely limited by the brain drain. Job satisfaction is closely related to brain drain, investigating the relevant factors of job satisfaction can provide strategies to reduce brain drain. This research was conducted in Huangpi, China. Convenience sampling methods and self-administereded questionnaires were used. We collected 1370 valid samples, with an effective rate of 97.72%. Descriptive statistics are used to describe sociodemographic information. The Pearson Chi-square statistical was used to test the binary association between job satisfaction and another categorical variable. All the sociodemographic information was applied to the binary logistic regression model using the stepwise selection method. The mean age was 36.98 (SD = 9.84), factors that affect job satisfaction include educational background (x2 = 7.99, p< 0.05), marital status (x2 = 8.96, p< 0.05, monthly income (x2 = 51.43, p< 0.01), hire form (x2 = 7.64, p< 0.05), hours worked per week (x2 = 33.48, p< 0.01), parent had a stable job (x2 = 10.65, p< 0.01). Government and management should consider the impact of current policies on job satisfaction. Objective: This study aimed to analyze a comprehensive set of potential risk factors for obesity and overweight among Chinese children with a full range of ages and with wide geographical coverage.Methods: In the Prevalence and Risk Factors for Obesity and Diabetes in Youth (PRODY) study (2017-2019), the authors analyzed 193,997 children aged 3 to 18 years from 11 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities that are geographically representative of China. All participants underwent physical examinations, and their caregivers completed questionnaires including dietary, lifestyle, familial, and perinatal information of participants. A multilevel multinomial logistic regression model was used to evaluate the potential risk factors.Results: Among the actionable risk factors that were measured, higher consumption frequencies of animal offal (odds ratios [OR] for an additional time/day = 0.91, 95% CI: 0.88-0.95, same unit for OR below unless specified otherwise), dairy products (0.91, 95% CI: 0.88-0.94), freshwater products (0.94, 95% CI: 0.91-0.96), staple foods (0.94, 95% CI: 0.92-0.96), and coarse food grain (OR for every day vs. rarely = 0.92, 95% CI: 0.86-0.98) were associated with lower relative risk of obesity. However, higher restaurant-eating frequency (OR for >4 times/month vs. rarely = 1.21, 95% CI: 1.15-1.29) and longer screen-viewing duration (OR for >2 hours vs. <30 minutes = 1.16, 95% CI: 1.10-1.22) were associated with higher relative risk of obesity. Increased exercise frequency was associated with the lowest relative risk of obesity (OR for every day vs. rarely = 0.72, 95% CI: 0.68-0.77).Conclusions: Changes in lifestyle and diet of Chinese children may help relieve their obesity burden. Background: To evaluate the effectiveness of individualized-dose polyethylene glycol recombinant human growth hormone (PEG-rhGH) for short stature. Methods: This real-world study enrolled children with short stature in 19 hospitals throughout China. They were treated with PEG-rhGH for 6 months. The starting dosage ranged from 0.10 to 0.20 mg/kg/week. The primary outcome was the change in height standard deviation score (ΔHt SDS). Results: Five hundred and ten patients were included and grouped based on dosage as A (0.10–0.14 mg/kg/week), B (0.15–0.16 mg/kg/week), C (0.17–0.19 mg/kg/week), and D (0.20 mg/kg/week). The mean 6-month ΔHt SDS for the total cohort was 0.49 ± 0.27, and the means differed among the four dose groups (P = 0.002). The ΔHt SDS was lower in group A than in groups B (LSM difference [95%CI], -0.09 [-0.17, -0.01]), C (LSM difference [95%CI], -0.10 [-0.18, -0.02]), and D (LSM difference [95%CI], -0.13 [-0.21, -0.05]) after adjusting baseline covariates. There were no significant differences among groups B, C, and D. When the baseline IGF-1 was < -2 SDS or > 0 SDS, the △Ht SDS was not different among the four groups (P = 0.931 and P = 0.400). In children with baseline IGF-1 SDS of -2 ~ 0 SDS, a higher dosage was associated with a better treatment effect (P = 0.003), and the △Ht SDS was lower in older children than in younger ones (P < 0.001). Conclusions: PEG-rhGH could effectively increase height in prepubertal short children. When the baseline IGF-1 was < -2 SDS, 0.10 mg/kg/week could be a starting dose. Background: The human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) continues to be one of the major public health challenges in the world. Despite the advancement in medication and changes in views towards HIV in Chinese society, little is known about the changes in the psychosocial and mental health of HIV‐positive women in recent years. Objectives: The present study examined the change in depression, anxiety, stigma, relationship with the child, intimacy with a partner, and social support from family, friends, and health professionals, for HIV‐positive women in China from 2015 to 2020. Methods: Two cross‐sectional surveys were conducted in 2015 and 2020, and 429 and 382 HIV‐positive women were recruited from the Women's Health Department in Yunnan and Guangxi, China between November 2015 to May 2016, and November 2019 to January 2020, respectively. Results: After controlling for significant sociodemographic variables, participants recruited in 2019–2020 had significantly lower levels of depression and anxiety and higher scores on emotional and tangible support from friends. On the other hand, they had lower scores in intimacy with partners and emotional and tangible support from family. No significant changes were found in stigma, relationship with the child, and support from health professionals. Conclusion: Results provide important information on the changes in psychosocial and mental health, which offer insights into the design of interventions to promote psychosocial and mental health among HIV‐positive women in China. Introduction: Vascular cognitive impairment (VCI) and Alzheimer's disease are the most common cognitive impairment diseases in the elderly. This study aimed to apply the Repeatable Battery for Assessment of Neuropsychological Status (RBANS) scale to evaluate VCI in elderly patients and analyze its reliability and validity. Methods: We enrolled 278 VCI patients admitted to our hospital, from June 2017 to June 2018. The basic clinical information of each patient was documented, and the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) and the RBANS scales were suggested to complete. Results: We found significant correlations between the RBANS total score and age, diabetes, hypertension, coronary heart disease and years of education. The internal consistency of the RBANS scale Cronbach α suggested a good agreement with the total score and the single score at two time points. Moreover, the RBANS total score and the score of each dimension in the RBANS scale were positively correlated with the MMSE immediate memory, calculation ability, delayed memory, commanding ability, reading comprehension ability, command execution, sentence making, and pattern duplicating ability. Conclusion: In conclusion, the RBANS has good reliability and validity for the assessment of cognitive dysfunction in elderly VCI patients. Bidens plants are annuals or perennials of Asteraceae and usually used as medicinal materials in China. They are difficult to identify by using traditional identification methods because they have similar morphologies and chemical components. Universal DNA barcodes also cannot identify Bidens species effectively. This situation seriously hinders the development of medicinal Bidens plants. Therefore, developing an accurate and effective method for identifying medicinal Bidens plants is urgently needed. The present study aims to use phylogenomic approaches based on organelle genomes to address the confusing relationships of medicinal Bidens plants. Illumina sequencing was used to sequence 12 chloroplast and eight mitochondrial genomes of five species and one variety of Bidens. The complete organelle genomes were assembled, annotated and analysed. Phylogenetic trees were constructed on the basis of the organelle genomes and highly variable regions. The organelle genomes of these Bidens species had a conserved gene content and codon usage. The 12 chloroplast genomes of the Bidens species were 150,489 bp to 151,635 bp in length. The lengths of the eight mitochondrial genomes varied from each other. Bioinformatics analysis revealed the presence of 50–71 simple sequence repeats and 46–181 long repeats in the organelle genomes. By combining the results of mVISTA and nucleotide diversity analyses, seven candidate highly variable regions in the chloroplast genomes were screened for species identification and relationship studies. Comparison with the complete mitochondrial genomes and common protein-coding genes shared by each organelle genome revealed that the complete chloroplast genomes had the highest discriminatory power for Bidens species and thus could be used as a super barcode to authenticate Bidens species accurately. Background: This population-based cross-sectional study aimed to evaluate the prevalence of oral mucosal lesions (OMLs) in children in a rural area in China as epidemiological data on these conditions from such areas are insufficient. Methods: A total of 3145 children in Xiangyun of Yunnan were enrolled. A socio-economic questionnaire and a field survey of OMLs were administered. We gathered information on factors (sex, age, caregiver, parental education, and last-month household income) that might be associated with OMLs in these children. Results: OMLs in children in Xiangyun of Yunnan had a prevalence of 1.8% (95% CI; 1.3–2.3%). The most prevalent OML was oral ulcer (n = 11; 18.3%), followed by linea alba (n = 10; 16.7%), whereas the least prevalent OMLs were frenal tag (n = 1; 1.7%) and herpes labialis (n = 1; 1.7%). On unadjusted or adjusted regression, school-aged children had about 50% lower risk of OMLs than preschoolers. Conclusions: These findings indicate that the prevalence of OMLs in Xiangyun of Yunnan is lower than previously reported. Background: Atopy may be associated with disease severity and a poor prognosis of human adenovirus (HAdV) pneumonia in children. Our aim was to observe the clinical characteristics and pulmonary radiological changes in children with atopy and HAdV pneumonia in China.Methods: Children hospitalised with HAdV pneumonia from June 2018 to December 2019 were analysed. All children were divided into atopic with HAdV, non-atopic with HAdV, and atopic without HAdV infection group. Each group was further divided into the mild and severe pneumonia groups according to disease severity. Standard treatment was initiated after admission, and regular follow-up evaluations were conducted at 1 month after discharge. Baseline and clinical characteristics and pulmonary radiological changes in children with and without atopy were evaluated. Risk factors associated with small airway lesions in patients with HAdV pneumonia were analysed.Results: The eosinophil count in the atopic group was significantly higher than that in the non-atopic group (P < 0.05). Severe coughing, wheezing, and small airway lesions on chest high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) upon admission, after discharge and 1 month after discharge were significantly higher in the atopic group (with or without HAdV infection) than in the non-atopic group (P < 0.05). There were significant differences in the number of patients with wheezing and small airway lesions during hospitalisation and after discharge among the three groups (P < 0.05). The risks of small airway lesions in children with a family or personal history of asthma, severe infection, atopy, and HAdV infection were 2.1-, 2.7-, 1.9-, 2.1-, and 1.4-times higher than those in children without these characteristics, respectively.Conclusions: Children with atopy and HAdV pneumonia may experience severe coughing in mild cases and wheezing in mild and severe cases. Children with atopy are more susceptible to the development of small airway lesions, recurrent wheezing after discharge and slower recovery of small airway lesions as observed on pulmonary imaging than non-atopic children after HAdV infection. A family or personal history of asthma, atopy, severe infection, and HAdV infection are independent risk factors associated with the development of small airway lesion as observed on chest HRCT. Through field observation and theoretical study, we found that the Hanxing mining area has a typical ternary structure in coal mining under high water pressure of the aquifer. This ternary structure is the Ordovician limestone aquifer-aquiclude including thin limestones-coal seam. Although the aquiclude is considerably thick, there is still a great risk of water burst during mining under water pressure in the deep burial environment. Multidimensional characteristics of floor water inrush in deep mining are summarized in the paper, including water migration upwardly driven by the Ordovician confined water, the planar dispersion of the water inrush channel, the stepped increase of the water inrush intensity, the hysteretic effluent of the water inrush time and the exchange, and adsorption of the water quality. The water inrush mechanism is clarified that the permeability, dilatancy, fracturing, and ascending of the water from the Ordovician limestone aquifer form a planar and divergent flow through the transfer, storage, and transportation of thin limestone aquifers. The corresponding water inrush risk evaluation equation is also proposed. Based on the thickness of the aquiclude, the thickness of the failure zones, and the water inrush coefficient, the floor aquiclude is classified into five categories. While water inrush cannot be completely controlled by the traditional underground floor reinforcement with ultra-thick aquiclude or even zonal grouting, a comprehensive prevention and control concept of the four-dimensional floor water hazard in full time-space domain are proposed. A tridimensional prevention and control model of three-dimensional reticulated exploration, treatment, verification, and supplementation is presented. A full time domain technological quality control process of condition assessment, exploration, remediation, inspection, evaluation, monitoring, and reassurance is formed, and a water disaster prevention method with full time-space tridimensional network in deep coal mining is established. The tectonic setting of Indosinian magmatism in West Qinling Orogen and the tectonic evolution of the Paleo-Tethys remain hotly debated. Here we present SHRIMP zircon U Pb dating, major-trace elemental and Sr-Nd-Pb-Hf isotopic data for four granitic and gabbroic plutons across the eastern West Qinling Orogen, from north to south including Guanshan, Fengxian, Mishuling and Miba. Our new data indicate that the Fengxian granitoids, emplaced at 238 Ma in a continental arc setting, show adakitic affinity and were formed by partial melting of subducted sediments. The southern Guanshan granitoids, emplaced at 235–229 Ma in a continental arc setting, also show adakitic affinity but were generated by partial melting of thickened (>50 km) lower crust. The northern Guanshan granites and gabbros were emplaced at 217–216 Ma in a back-arc setting, with the former generated by partial melting of normal (40–50 km) lower crust and the latter derived from asthenospheric mantle. The Mishuling granitic pluton contains abundant mafic microgranular enclaves, both emplaced at 214 Ma in a back-arc setting with the host granitoids formed by partial melting of normal (40–50 km) lower crust and the enclave magmas derived from asthenospheric-lithospheric mantle. The Miba granitoids, emplaced at 216 Ma in a continental arc setting, show adakitic affinity and were generated by partial melting of thickened (>50 km) lower crust. We suggest that the Paleo-Tethyan oceanic crust had subducted near the Shangdan suture by 238 Ma and successively advanced northward, approaching southeastern Qilian Orogen at 235–229 Ma. Then slab rollback initiated and gradually migrated southward. The slab subduction did not cease before 214 Ma. • We have investigated four Triassic granitic-gabbroic plutons in West Qinling Orogen. • The granitoids formed in a continental-arc setting during the Ladinian-Carnian. • The granitoids, enclaves and gabbros formed in a back-arc setting during the Norian. • The origin of these rocks recorded the Paleo-Tethyan oceanic crust advance to retreat. • Fecal samples were collected from Tibetan sheep grazing in Qinghai, China for Blastocystis testing. • Tibetan sheep distribution area and season influenced positive rates. • Bayesian analysis confirmed the presence of subtypes ST10, ST12, ST14, ST21, ST30, and possible new subtypes. Blastocystis is one of the most common intestinal protists in humans and a great number of animals, including sheep and goats. High prevalence and multiple subtypes of Blastocystis have been reported in sheep in several regions of China and elsewhere. However, there is a dearth of knowledge about Blastocystis in Tibetan sheep. A total of 761 fecal samples were collected from Tibetan sheep in seven counties of Qinghai Province, northwestern China, and were examined for the prevalence and subtypes of Blastocystis using molecular technology based on the partial small subunit ribosomal RNA gene of Blastocystis. The overall prevalence of Blastocystis in the investigated Tibetan sheep was 7.5% (57/761) using PCR and DNA Sanger sequencing, and differences in prevalence were observed among the ruminants from the seven counties (P < 0.01), and across four seasons (P < 0.01). Sequence analysis revealed five subtypes (ST14 (57.9%), ST10 (26.3%), ST12 (5.3%), ST21 (5.3%), and ST30 (5.3%)) of Blastocystis sp. in these Tibetan sheep, with ST14 as the predominant subtype. Alkaline intrusions such as ultrapotassic syenites are typically formed in extensional tectonic settings including continental rift, post-orogenic and post-collisional regimes. Here we present two early Mesozoic ultrapotassic syenite plutons (Tieshan and Yangfang) in South China that were formed in a continent collisional setting. LA-ICP-MS zircon U Pb chronological, major and trace elemental, and Sr Nd isotopic data of these syenites are used to explore their origin and to further constrain the geodynamics of early Mesozoic magmatism in South China. Our new data indicate that the Tieshan and Yangfang plutons were formed in Early Triassic (249 Ma) and Middle Triassic (240 Ma), respectively. The Tieshan and Yangfang syenites have SiO 2 contents of 50.84–56.95 wt% and 59.13–68.34 wt%, respectively, both are enriched in alkalis with very high K 2 O (5.60–9.68 wt%) and K 2 O/Na 2 O (1.8–15.7) and in LILE (Ba = 2464–8813 ppm; Sr = 652–3499 ppm), REE (498–1355 ppm) and HFSE (Zr = 264–766 ppm). They show enriched Sr Nd isotopic compositions with 87Sr/86Sr (t) and ε Nd (t) of 0.7096–0.7102 and − 5.2 to −6.5, respectively for Tieshan and of 0.7112–0.7119 and − 8.8 to −9.7, respectively for Yangfang. Geochemical data suggest that the studied ultrapotassic syenites were derived by partial melting of ancient subduction-modified lithospheric mantle including slab-derived melt hybridization and slab-derived carbonate fluid metasomatism, with the source depth of 60–90 km for Tieshan and at least 90 km for Yangfang. The origin of A-type granites is purely circumstantial. Granitic complexes are quite common and generally composed of different type granites. I- and A-type granite association in a granitic complex is often described in the literature. Here we present a granitic complex, i.e. the Pitou complex in southern Jiangxi province, South China that is composed of different varieties of A-type granites. Detailed zircon LA-ICP-MS U Pb chronology and in situ Hf isotope, mineral chemistry and whole-rock element and Sr Nd isotope data of this granitic complex are used to explore their origin and to further constrain the geodynamics of Mesozoic magmatism in South China. Our new data indicate that the Pitou complex was emplaced during the Late Triassic (237 Ma) (central to northern part) and Early Jurassic (188–185 Ma) (southern part), respectively and that both the Late Triassic and Early Jurassic granites belong to A-type but show contrasting origins. The Late Triassic granites show an association of alkali-feldspar granite-syenogranite-monzogranite and the rock type of the Early Jurassic granites is alkali-feldspar granite. All the granites are composed mainly of K-feldspar, quartz, plagioclase and biotite (ferri-biotite or annite) with biotite occurring as anhedral crystal, interstitial to quartz and feldspar. Both the Late Triassic and Early Jurassic granites have high SiO 2 (>70 wt%) and total alkalis (K 2 O + Na 2 O > 8 wt%) with high FeO T /(FeO T + MgO) and low Mg#. They are enriched in rare earth elements (except Eu) and depleted in Sr and Ba. They display Zr + Y + Ce + Nb >350 ppm, 10,000 × Ga/Al >2.6 and have high zircon saturation temperatures (>800 °C). Biotites in the granites are Fe-rich with very low Fe3+/Fe2+, indicating fairly reducing conditions. However, the Late Triassic and Early Jurassic granites also show some geochemical differences. The Late Triassic granites have lower FeO T /(FeO T + MgO) and higher Mg# than the Early Jurassic granites, with the Mg# of the former consistent with pure crustal melts and the Mg# of the latter much lower than pure crustal melts. In addition, the Late Triassic granites have lower zircon saturation temperatures (up to 843 °C, average 823 °C) than the Early Jurassic granites (up to 946 °C, average 875 °C). Furthermore, the Late Triassic granites have high 87Sr/86Sr (t) (0.7132–0.7226) and negative ε Nd (t) (−10.3 to −10.9) and ε Hf (t) (in situ zircon) (−11.5 to −11.6) that are similar to those of the early Paleozoic granitoids in the region whereas the Early Jurassic granites have low 87Sr/86Sr (t) (down to 0.7034) and positive ε Nd (t) (up to +3.0) and ε Hf (t) (in situ zircon) (up to +8.3) that are similar to those of the Early Jurassic gabbroic rocks in the region. Geochemical data and major element modeling suggest that the Late Triassic A-type granites were formed by shallow (ca. 15–20 km depth) dehydration melting of the early Paleozoic granitoids triggered by intraplating of basaltic magmas and the Early Jurassic A-type granites were produced by extensive fractionation (ca. 90% to 95%) from gabbroic magmas by removal of plagioclase, amphibole, K-feldspar, clinopyroxene and magnetite. We further suggest the origin of the Late Triassic A-type granites was related to the transtension of the regional NE–trending strike-slip faults caused by the early Indosinian continental collisions and the Early Jurassic A-type granites were emplaced in a back-arc extensional setting coupled with the slab rollback and subsequent slab break-off of the subducted Palaeo-Pacific plate. Our new data confirm that the early Mesozoic magmatism in South China was controlled by continental collisions during the Late Permian to Triassic amalgamation in Southeast Asia whereas the late Mesozoic magmatism was related to the northwestward subduction of the Palaeo-Pacific plate. Organophosphate esters (OPEs) are ubiquitous contaminants in the environment, whereas their atmospheric processes and fate are poorly understood. The present study revealed the spatial heterogeneity and seasonal variations of traditional and novel OPEs in PM 2.5 (particulate matter with diameters < 2.5 μm) across a megacity (including residential areas and potential source sites) in South China. Potential influencing factors on the contamination levels of OPEs were addressed. The total concentrations of 11 traditional OPEs ranging from 262 to 42,194 pg/m3 (median = 1872 pg/m3) were substantially higher than those of 10 novel OPEs (33.5–3835 pg/m3, median = 318 pg/m3). Significant spatial and temporal variations in the concentrations of most OPEs were observed. The overall district-specific contamination levels in this city showed dependence on the secondary industry sector for non-predominant OPEs and on the tertiary industry for predominant OPEs. The seasonal variations of the OPE concentrations suggest difference in their sources or influence of meteorological conditions. The correlations between the individual OPEs in PM 2.5 are determined largely by either their applications or physicochemical properties (in particular vapor pressure). The correlations between OPE concentrations and each meteorological factor (temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, and surface solar radiation) were inconsistent (positive and negative). Wind speed had the greatest effect on the OPE levels; While most OPEs bound to PM 2.5 were not efficiently scavenged by below-cloud rainfall. The results suggest that atmospheric half-life and Henry's Law Constant of OPEs are also determining factors for the wind speed and rainfall influence, respectively. Objective. This analysis was aimed at providing evidence-based medicine basis for systematic evaluation of chondroitin combined with glucosamine in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis. Methods. The randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of chondroitin combined with glucosamine in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis (KOA) were searched in PubMed, EMBASE, ScienceDirect, Cochrane Library, China Knowledge Network Database (CNKI), China VIP Database, Wanfang Database, and China Biomedical Literature Database (CBM) online database. The retrieval time ranges from the database creation to the present. Two investigators gathered the information individually. The risk of bias was assessed using the criteria of the Cochrane back review group. RevMan5.4 statistical software analyzed the selected data. Results. A total of 6 RCT articles were obtained. Overall, 764 samples were evaluated by meta-analysis. The clinical efficacy of chondroitin combined with glucosamine was significantly better than that of routine treatment by meta-analysis. The confidence interval of 95% was (4.86, 17.08) (Z = 6.89 , P < 0.00001). The scores of joint pain, tenderness, swelling, and dysfunction in patients with knee osteoarthritis treated with chondroitin combined with glucosamine were significantly lower than those treated with routine treatment. There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between chondroitin combined with glucosamine and single treatment of KOA. Due to the small number of documents included in the analysis, it is not suitable to make a funnel chart, but there may be some publication deviation in the analysis. Conclusion. Chondroitin combined with glucosamine is more effective than chondroitin or glucosamine alone in the treatment of KOA and deserves clinical promotion. However, this conclusion still needs to be supported by multicenter, high-quality, double-blind, large-sample randomized controlled clinical trials due to the limitations of the six trials included. Skarn deposits are significant sources of copper, yet there are different understandings on their fluid evolution and precipitation mechanism due to lack of direct constraints on fluid compositions of mineralization process. Here, we present a detailed reconstruction of fluid evolution history from the pre-ore prograde stage through the syn -ore retrograde stage to the post-ore stage of the Chuankeng deposit in the North Wuyi area, South China, based on fluid inclusion microthermometry and LA-ICP-MS analysis of typical minerals from three stages. The pre-ore fluids trapped in pyroxene have higher homogenization temperatures (450–550 ℃), higher salinities (31.9–51.5 wt% NaCl equiv), but lower concentrations of Cu (∼556 ppm) than syn -ore fluids (338–465 ℃, 31.3–38.9 wt% NaCl equiv, ∼3247 ppm Cu). The post-ore fluids show lower temperatures (139-163℃), salinities (1.1–6.5 wt% NaCl equiv), and low concentrations of Cu (<387 ppm). Fluids of all paragenetic stages have high K/Na and Rb/Na ratios, exhibiting signatures of magmatic hydrothermal fluids. Mixing of the magmatic fluids with meteoric waters of lower temperature and salinity occurred at the final post-ore stage, thus it is not related to Cu mineralization. As the temperature descends from 445 ℃ to 340 ℃, the Cu/(Na + K) ratios of syn -ore fluids diminish exponentially, manifesting fluid cooling within a certain temperature may be an important factor controlling Cu mineralization. Concomitantly, a moderate negative correlation between the Ca/(Na + K) ratios and Cu/(Na + K) ratios of syn -ore fluids suggests that fluid-rock interaction do have some impact on copper contents. Additionally, the Cu/(Na + K) ratios of syn -ore fluids in quartz are an order of magnitude higher than those of pre-ore fluids, and it is proposed that during the initial retrograde stage—the onset of mineralization—the magma chamber released fluid pulse with higher copper contents. Based on these findings, the fluids of pre-ore prograde stage and syn -ore retrograde stage are distinct magmatic fluid pulses, and copper-rich fluids, thermal cooling within a specific temperature range and fluid-rock reaction are suggested to be key factors controlling metal enrichment in skarn copper systems. Fibrinogen is a protein that reflects systemic inflammation and regulates the immune response to disease. However, there is a scarcity of data on fibrinogen in recurrent aphthous stomatitis (RAS). We aimed to test the hypothesis that fibrinogen is involved in the aetiology of RAS. Between November 2016 and November 2018, we included 109 minor RAS patients and 29 age- and sex-matched controls in a single-center, observational study. Their clinical history and ulcer manifestations led to the diagnosis of minor RAS. The ulcer severity score (USS) was used to assess disease severity, and fibrinogen was also collected. We conducted three analyses: Analysis 1 (comparison of fibrinogen levels between patients and controls), Analysis 2 (comparison of fibrinogen levels between high and low USS patients) and Analysis 3 (comparison of fibrinogen levels between before and after anti-inflammatory treatment in patients). The fibrinogen levels in the 109 minor RAS patients were statistically higher than in the 29 controls (mean [SD], 2.6 [0.5] vs. 2.3 [0.3]; Student's t-test, p < 0.001). However, there were no significant differences in fibrinogen levels among the 43 patients with high USS and the 39 patients with low USS (mean [SD], 2.7 [0.5] vs. 2.6 [0.4]; Student's t-test, p = 0.278). Furthermore, fibrinogen levels were significantly higher before anti-inflammatory treatment in comparison to those after anti-inflammatory treatment in the 35 paired patients (mean [SD], 2.6 [0.4] vs. 2.5 [0.4]; Student's t-test, p = 0.026). Interestingly, fibrinogen levels were significantly higher in the 35 paired patients after anti-inflammatory treatment compared to the 29 control subjects (mean [SD], 2.5 [0.4] vs. 2.3 [0.3]; Student's t-test, p = 0.026]. Introduction: As a developing country with the largest older adult population in the world, strengthening the research on falls among the older adults is undoubtedly an urgent item in China. This study aimed to explore the prevalence and risk factors associated with falls and injury from falls among community-dwelling older adults in Guangzhou, China, particularly focusing on their associations with chronic diseases., Methods: A total of 1,629 participants aged 65 years and above were selected from 11 counties in Guangzhou by the multi-stage stratified random sampling method in 2021. Socio-demographic characteristics, health and lifestyle factors, the status of falls, and injury from falls were measured by structured questionnaires through face-to-face interviews. Chi-square tests and logistic regression analysis were used to identify factors associated with falls and injury from falls. Chord diagrams were used to explore their associations with chronic diseases., Results: A total of 251 participants (15.41%, 95% CI: 13.98%-17.25%) reported falls, and 162 participants (9.46%, 95% CI:7.72%-11.55%) indicated an injury from falls. Logistic regression analysis showed the results as follows: female patients (adjusted OR = 1.721, 95% CI: 1.681-1.761) aged ≥80 years (1.910, 1.847-1.975), unemployed (1.226, 1.171-1.284), uninsured (1.555, 1.448-1.671), average monthly household income of 2,001-4,000 CNY (1.878, 1.827-1.930), number of services provided by the community health center ≥13 times per year (1.428, 1.383-1.475), illness within 2 weeks (1.633, 1.595-1.672), high-intensity physical activity (2.254, 2.191-2.32), sedentary (1.094, 1.070-1.117), and number of chronic disease illnesses ≥3 (1.930, 1.870-1.993). Meanwhile, those risk factors were also associated with injury from falls. The older adults with medium-intensity physical activity were at lower risk (0.721, 0.705-0.737) of falls and higher risk (1.086, 1.057-1.117) of being injured from falls. Chord diagrams showed the correlations between chronic diseases and falls and injury from falls among community-dwelling older adults in Guangzhou, China., Conclusion: The high prevalence of falls is found among community-dwelling older adults in Guangzhou, China, which is related to multiple factors such as demographic variables, lifestyle, and health status, especially for chronic diseases. In this research, enrichment factor (EF) and pollution load index were utilized to explore the contamination characteristics of toxic elements (TEs) in park dust. The results exhibited that park dust in the study area was mainly moderately polluted, and the EF values of dust Cd, Zn, Pb, Cu and Sb were all > 1. The concentrations of Cr, Cu, Zn and Pb increased with the decrease of dust particle size. The investigation results of chemical speciation and bioavailability of TEs showed that Zn had the highest bioavailability. Three sources of TEs were determined by positive matrix factorization model, Pearson correlation analysis and geostatistical analysis, comprising factor 1 mixed sources of industrial and transportation activities (46.62%), factor 2 natural source (25.56%) and factor 3 mixed source of agricultural activities and the aging of park infrastructures (27.82%). Potential ecological risk (PER) and human health risk (HHR) models based on source apportionment were exploited to estimate PER and HHR of TEs from different sources. The mean PER value of TEs in the park dust was 114, indicating that ecological risk in the study area was relatively high. Factor 1 contributed the most to PER, and the pollution of Cd was the most serious. There were no significant carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic risks for children and adults in the study area. And factor 3 was the biggest source of non-carcinogenic risk, and As, Cr and Pb were the chief contributor to non-carcinogenic risk. Background: Although exposure to ambient air pollution has been associated with mental disorder, little is known about its potential effects on children and adolescents, especially in Chinese population. We aimed to reveal the relationship of air pollutants with hospital outpatient visits for child and adolescence psychiatry (HOVCAP) in Shenzhen., Methods: A case-crossover study based on time-series data was applied, and a distributed lag non-linear model (DLNM) was used to evaluate the non-linear and delayed effects of 4 major air pollutants (NO 2 , PM 2.5 , SO 2 and O 3 ) on HOVCAP. Least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) regression was used to control the multicollinearity between covariates and to filter variables., Result: A total of 94,660 cases aged 3-18 were collected from 2014 to 2019 in the Mental Health Center of Shenzhen. Results of pollutants at mode value (M 0 ) showed that in the single lag effect result, when the average daily concentration of NO 2 at 24 μg/m 3 , there was a significant effect on HOVCAP over lag 1, lag 4 and lag 5, respectively. The cumulative RR of NO 2 M 0 value to the outpatient visits were 1.438 (1.137-1.818) over lag 0-2, 1.454 (1.120-1.887) over lag 0-3, 1.466 (1.084-1.982) over lag 0-4, 1.680 (1.199-2.354) over lag 0-5, 1.993 (1.369-2.903) over lag 0-6, and 2.069 (1.372-3.119) over lag 0-7. However, PM 2.5 , SO 2 , O 3 were not associated with HOVCAP over neither single lag effects nor cumulative effects. The RR values both shown an increase either when NO 2 increases by 10 units or when the maximum concentration of NO 2 is reached., Conclusion: Our study suggests that exposure to the normal air quality of NO2 in Shenzhen may associated with the risk of HOVCAP. The risk of chronic hepatitis B (CHB) infection is often affected by polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) metabolism which is strongly influenced by single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) within the PUFA metabolic pathway. Given this, we designed this study to determine the relationship between specific polymorphisms within fatty acid desaturase 2 (FADS2), a key enzyme in PUFA metabolism, and CHB infection. We completed this evaluation using a case-control study comprising 230 CHB patients and 234 unrelated healthy controls in which the genetic relationships between three previously identified SNPs, isolated via mass spectrometry, and CHB infection. Our data revealed that none of these three SNPs (rs174568, rs174601, and rs2727270) were significantly associated with susceptibility to CHB infection when compared to healthy controls. However, when we stratified our cohort by sex, male subjects with the TC genotype for FADS2 exhibited a decreased risk for CHB infection (OR = 0.62, 95%CI = 0.39-0.96; OR = 0.64, 95%CI = 0.41-1.00; OR = 0.57, 95%CI = 0.36-0.90). Furthermore, age stratification revealed that both the T allele and the TC genotypes for each of the three target SNPs were less common in Chinese CHB cases in people younger than 50 years old. Correlation analysis also revealed that there was no statistically significant relationship between these three SNPs and HBV-DNA replication or hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) levels. Thus, our data suggests that rs174568, rs174601, and rs2727270 may affect the CHB outcomes in various age or sex subgroups, suggesting that they may be useful predictive or diagnostic biomarkers of CHB infection in some populations., (Copyright © 2022. Objectives: Examination of the prevalence, influence factors and patterns of multimorbidity among the elderly people in Guangzhou, China., Design: Cross-sectional study., Participants: 31 708 community-dwelling elderly people aged 65 and over., Primary and Secondary Outcome Measures: Prevalence, influence factors and patterns of multimorbidity in seven chronic conditions among the participants. A multistage, stratified random sampling was adopted for selection of health records in the residents' health records system of Guangzhou. Data mining by association rule mining analysis was used to explore the correlations and multimorbidity patterns between seven chronic diseases., Results: The prevalence of morbidity was 55.0% (95% CI 40.1% to 60.1%) and the multimorbidity was 15.2% (95% CI 12.4% to 18.4%) among the participants. Elderly, women, higher education level, being single, living in urban areas and having medical insurance were more likely to have chronic diseases and multimorbidity. Data mining by association rule mining analysis reveals patterns of multimorbidity among the participants, including coexistence of hypertension and diabetes (support: 12.5%, confidence: 17.6%), hypertension and coronary heart disease (support: 4.4%, confidence: 5.7%), diabetes and coronary heart disease (support: 1.6%, confidence: 5.7%), diabetes, coronary heart disease and hypertension (support: 1.4%, confidence: 4.4%)., Conclusions: A high prevalence of morbidity (especially on hypertension and diabetes) and a relatively low multimorbidity of chronic diseases exist in elderly people. Objectives: Epidemiological data of oral mucosal lesions (OMLs) are required to develop practical oral care policies. However, limited data are available for rural areas in China. We aimed to estimate the spectrum and frequency of OMLs and to identify their associated socioeconomic status (SES) and systemic health in a remote rural area in Yunnan, China., Methods: We screened patients for OMLs in an oral medicine clinic in rural Yunnan, China, from August 2020 to February 2021. OMLs were documented. SES, including the highest education level achieved and the previous month's household income, as well as the patient's systemic health, including a history of smoking, alcohol use, and chronic disease, were obtained from the Medical History/Health Questionnaire Form and patient medical records., Results: A total of 146 patients were found to have OMLs. The most frequent OML was aphthous ulcer ( n = 41, 28.1%), followed by burning mouth syndrome (BMS) ( n = 16, 11.0%), viral ulcer ( n = 14, 9.6%), and oral lichen planus (OLP) ( n = 9, 6.2%). In these patients, the most common chronic diseases were sleep apnea ( n = 35, 24.0%), hypertension ( n = 23, 15.8%), bronchitis ( n = 16, 11.0%), reflux (including gastroesophageal reflux disease) ( n = 12, 8.2%), and arthritis ( n = 11, 7.5%). On adjusted regression, the patients without chronic diseases had a lower risk of BMS than those with chronic diseases [odds ratio (OR), 0.2; 95% confidence interval (CI), 0.03-0.9]. Age was an independent protective factor for viral ulcers (OR, 1.0; 95% CI, 0.9-1.0). Patients with low-income levels had a lower risk of OLP than those with high-income levels (OR, 0.2; 95% CI, 0.05-0.9)., Conclusions: Our oral medicine clinic data in remote Yunnan, China, showed the most frequent OML was aphthous ulcer, which was followed by BMS, viral ulcer, and OLP. Oral care policies should be prioritized among patients with aphthous ulcer. Preventive strategy of BMS should be targeted to people with chronic disease for health equalities. Non-ferrous metal smelting activities have always been considered as one of the foremost anthropogenic sources of potentially toxic elements (PTEs). The enrichment factor (EF) and pollution load index (PLI) were used to evaluate the pollution level of soil PTEs; positive matrix factorization (PMF), correlation analysis, and geostatistics were utilized to quantify the sources of soil PTEs; and potential ecological risk (PER) and human health risk (HHR) of different sources from farmland, construction land, and natural land were quantifiably determined via combined PTE sources with PER and HHR assessment models. Taking the smelting area of Daye City as an example, the evaluation results of EF and PLI showed that the soil PTE pollution in the study area was serious, especially Cd and Cu. And four sources were quantitatively allocated as agricultural practices (12.14%), traffic emissions (23.07%), natural sources (33.46%), and industrial activities (31.33%). For PER, industrial activities were the largest contributor to PER, accounting for 55.66%, 56.30%, and 55.36% of farmland, construction land, and natural land, respectively, and Cd was the most dangerous element. In terms of HHR, industrial activities were also the cardinal contributors under the three land use types. Children were exposed to serious non-carcinogenic risks under three land use patterns and slight carcinogenic risk in construction land (1.06E - 04). Significantly, the carcinogenic risk of children in farmland (9.06 × 10 -5 ) was very close to the threshold (1 × 10 -4 ), which requires attention. Both non-carcinogenic and carcinogenic risk for adults were all at acceptable levels. The health risks (carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic risks) of children from four different sources were distinctly higher than those of adults. Background: Multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) has become a major public health problem in China, with mounting evidence suggesting that recent transmission accounts for the majority of MDR-TB. Here we aimed to reveal the transmission pattern of an MDR-TB outbreak in the Jing'an District of Shanghai between 2010 and 2015., Methods: We used whole-genome sequencing (WGS) to conduct genomic clustering analysis along with field epidemiological investigation to determine the transmission pattern and drug resistance profile of a cluster with ten MDR-TB patients in combining field epidemiological investigation., Results: The ten MDR-TB patients with genotypically clustered Beijing lineage strains lived in a densely populated, old alley with direct or indirect contact history. The analysis of genomic data showed that the genetic distances of the ten strains (excluding drug-resistant mutations) were 0-20 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), with an average distance of 9 SNPs, suggesting that the ten MDR-TB patients were infected and developed the onset of illness by the recent transmission of M. tuberculosis. The genetic analysis confirmed definite epidemiological links between the clustered cases., Conclusions: The integration of the genotyping tool in routine tuberculosis surveillance can play a substantial role in the detection of MDR-TB transmission events. The leverage of genomic analysis in combination with the epidemiological investigation could further elucidate transmission patterns. Importance: Obesity is a public health challenge in China, but the geographical profiles of overweight and obesity among Chinese children are limited., Objective: To examine regional disparities in the prevalence of obesity among the heterogeneous population of Chinese children and adolescents to provide a more accurate profile of obesity among children in China., Design, Setting, and Participants: The Prevalence and Risk Factors for Obesity and Diabetes in Youth (PRODY) study was a cross-sectional survey study conducted from January 1, 2017, to December 31, 2019, among 201 098 children aged 3 to 18 years from 11 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities that produced a sample of Chinese children with a full range of ages and wide geographical coverage using a multistage, stratified, cluster-sampling design., Exposures: Five regions geographically representative of China (northern, eastern, southern, western, and central)., Main Outcomes and Measures: The body weights and heights of all participants were measured. Multilevel, multinomial logistic regression models were used to estimate the prevalence of overweight and obesity., Results: Among 201 098 healthy children (105 875 boys [52.6%]; mean [SD] age, 9.8 [3.8] years) from eastern, southern, northern, central, and western China, the highest obesity prevalence was estimated for children aged 8 to 13 years in northern China (from 18.8% [95% CI, 16.2%-21.7%] to 23.6% [95% CI, 20.5%-26.9%]) and for boys aged 3 to 6 years in western China (from 18.1% [95% CI, 10.4%-29.4%] to 28.6% [95% CI, 14.3%-49.0%]). Boys had a higher prevalence than girls of obesity only in eastern and northern China, with a mean difference in prevalence of 4.6% (95% CI, 3.8%-5.4%) and 7.6% (95% CI, 6.5%-8.6%), respectively., Conclusions and Relevance: In this survey study, substantial geographic disparities in the prevalence of obesity and overweight were found among the heterogeneous population of Chinese children. The results suggest that special attention should be paid to vulnerable children and that regionally adapted interventions are needed to efficiently mitigate obesity in children.

Organophosphate esters (OPEs) are ubiquitous contaminants in the environment, whereas their atmospheric processes and fate are poorly understood. The present study revealed the spatial heterogeneity and seasonal variations of traditional and novel OPEs in PM 2.5 (particulate matter with diameters < 2.5 μm) across a megacity (including residential areas and potential source sites) in South China. Potential influencing factors on the contamination levels of OPEs were addressed. The total concentrations of 11 traditional OPEs ranging from 262 to 42,194 pg/m 3 (median = 1872 pg/m 3 ) were substantially higher than those of 10 novel OPEs (33.5-3835 pg/m 3 , median = 318 pg/m 3 ). Significant spatial and temporal variations in the concentrations of most OPEs were observed. The overall district-specific contamination levels in this city showed dependence on the secondary industry sector for non-predominant OPEs and on the tertiary industry for predominant OPEs. The seasonal variations of the OPE concentrations suggest difference in their sources or influence of meteorological conditions. The correlations between the individual OPEs in PM 2.5 are determined largely by either their applications or physicochemical properties (in particular vapor pressure). The correlations between OPE concentrations and each meteorological factor (temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, and surface solar radiation) were inconsistent (positive and negative). Wind speed had the greatest effect on the OPE levels; While most OPEs bound to PM 2.5 were not efficiently scavenged by below-cloud rainfall. The results suggest that atmospheric half-life and Henry's Law Constant of OPEs are also determining factors for the wind speed and rainfall influence, respectively. Approximately half of the SARS-CoV-2 infections occur without apparent symptoms, raising questions regarding long-term humoral immunity in asymptomatic individuals. Plasma levels of immunoglobulin G (IgG) and M (IgM) against the viral spike or nucleoprotein were determined for 25,091 individuals enrolled in a surveillance program in Wuhan, China. We compared 405 asymptomatic individuals who mounted a detectable antibody response with 459 symptomatic COVID-19 patients. The well-defined duration of the SARS-CoV-2 endemic in Wuhan allowed a side-by-side comparison of antibody responses following symptomatic and asymptomatic infections without subsequent antigen re-exposure. IgM responses rapidly declined in both groups. However, both the prevalence and durability of IgG responses and neutralizing capacities correlated positively with symptoms. Regardless of sex, age, and body weight, asymptomatic individuals lost their SARS-CoV-2-specific IgG antibodies more often and rapidly than symptomatic patients did. Background: This study aimed to establish anti-Mullerian hormone age-specific reference intervals and determine the correlation between the anti-Mullerian hormone concentration and age, body mass index and concentrations of follicle-stimulating hormones and luteinizing hormone in healthy Chinese girls., Methods: Serum anti-Mullerian hormone concentrations of 1702 healthy girls (0-12 years), recruited between March 2018 and December 2019, were determined using the Beckman Access 2 automated chemiluminescence immunoassay. Single-year-specific medians of anti-Mullerian hormone and effects of age, body mass index, follicle-stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone on anti-Mullerian hormone concentration were analysed., Results: The anti-Mullerian hormone median level continued increasing from birth, reached its peak at age 9 at 4.45 ng/mL (interquartile range [IQR] 2.58-6.90) and then gradually decreased. At age 12, the median reached 1.98 ng/mL (IQR 1.05-3.46). Age-specific reference intervals for anti-Mullerian hormone were established in healthy Chinese girls aged 0-12 years. Anti-Mullerian hormone concentrations showed a moderately positive correlation with age (r = 0.33, P  < 0.001). In contrast, follicle-stimulating hormone (r = -0.29, P  < 0.001) concentrations were weakly negatively correlated with the serum anti-Mullerian hormone concentration., Conclusion: We established single-year-specific reference intervals for anti-Mullerian hormone in Chinese girls using the Beckman chemiluminescent platform. This reference range can help clinicians accurately understand anti-Mullerian hormone secretion in healthy girls and promote its clinical use.
