Background and purpose: Circulating metabolites have been implicated in stroke pathogenesis, but their genetic determinants are understudied. Using a Mendelian randomization approach, our aim was to provide evidence for the relationship of circulating metabolites and the risk of stroke and its subtypes. Methods: Genetic instruments of 102 circulating metabolites were obtained from a genome‐wide association study, including 24,925 European individuals. Stroke was extracted from the MEGASTROKE dataset (67,162 cases; 454,450 controls) and a lacunar stroke dataset (7338 cases; 254,798 controls). The magnetic resonance imaging markers of cerebral small vessel disease and microstructural injury were evaluated by a genome‐wide association study of white matter hyperintensities (N = 18,381), fractional anisotropy (N = 17,663), mean diffusivity (N = 17,467) and brain microbleeds (N = 25,862). The inverse‐variance weighted method Mendelian randomization was used as the primary analytical method, and directional pleiotropy and heterogeneity were examined in sensitivity analyses. Results: A genetic predisposition to a higher level of cholesterol in small and low‐density lipoprotein (LDL) was associated with risk of stroke (odds ratio [OR] 1.14, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.08–1.21, p = 5.98 × 10−7), especially for large‐artery atherosclerotic stroke (OR 1.34, 95% CI 1.19–1.52, p = 1.90 × 10−6). Total lipids in LDL particles were also associated with risk of stroke. A genetically determined higher cholesterol level in high‐density lipoprotein (HDL‐C) was associated with risk of intracerebral haemorrhage (OR 1.74, 95% CI 1.23–2.45, p = 1.66 × 10−3). No statistically significant association was found between genetic predisposition to circulating metabolites and magnetic resonance imaging markers of cerebral small vessel disease and microstructural injury. Conclusions: Genetically determined levels of lipids in small LDL were associated with the risk of stroke, suggesting that a therapeutic strategy targeting small LDL levels may be crucial for stroke prevention. Rice black-streaked dwarf virus (RBSDV) is the main pathogen causing maize rough dwarf disease (MRDD) in China. Typical enation symptoms along the abaxial leaf veins prevail in RBSDV-infected maize inbred line B73 (susceptible to RBSDV), but not in X178 (resistant to RBSDV). Observation of the microstructures of epidermal cells and cross section of enations from RBSDV-infected maize leaves found that the increase of epidermal cell and phloem cell numbers is associated with enation formation. To identify proteins associated with enation formation and candidate proteins against RBSDV infection, comparative proteomics between B73 and X178 plants were conducted using isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantitation (iTRAQ) with leaf samples at the enation forming stage. The proteomics data showed that 260 and 316 differentially expressed proteins (DEPs) were identified in B73 and X178, respectively. We found that the majority of DEPs are located in the chloroplast and cytoplasm. Moreover, RBSDV infection resulted in dramatic changes of DEPs enriched by the metabolic process, response to stress and the biosynthetic process. Strikingly, a cell number regulator 10 was significantly down-regulated in RBSDV-infected B73 plants. To examine the effects of historical land-use change and static land-use state on the modeling, we established three cellular automata (CA) models using the spatial autoregressive model (SAR). The models are CASAR-Cha based on the change data, CASAR-Sta based on the start-state data, and CASAR-End based on the end-state data. The models that considered five different neighborhood sizes (from 3 × 3 to 11 × 11) were applied to simulate the urban growth of Jiaxing, China from 2008 to 2018, and predict the urban scenario to the year 2048. All three models can accurately reproduce the urban growth from 2008 to 2018, and the CASAR-End model performed best in calibration and validation. The differences in historical land data did affect the spatial distribution of the simulated urban patterns. With more stringent IEC energy efficiency standards, electrical machine industry increasingly focuses on new motor technologies. Amongst others, the line-start permanent magnet synchronous machine (LSPMSM) is considered as an attractive alternative to induction machine, especially for low power and fixed-speed applications. However, the design of LSPMSMs is rather complex as both steady-state and transient synchronization performances need to be considered. The synchronization capability determination of a LSPMSM design usually relies on time-consuming transient finite-element simulations, which is impractical for use in an iterative design optimization process. This paper compares and evaluates various existing analytical synchronization analysis methods in an attempt to identify most suitable equations and methods for fast synchronization analysis. Using the selected methods, a software tool is developed that can seamlessly work with ANSYS Electronics Desktop to perform rapid transient synchronization analysis. Given its ability to quickly determine the critical inertia factor of a LSPMSM design, the software tool is further adapted for use in a highly iterative, multi-objective design optimization procedure. In this study, we tested the inhibitory activity of 45 natural products extracted from the plant Toona sinensis on SHP2 protein, and identified four natural product inhibitors. The natural product 1,2,3,6-Tetragalloylglucose (A-1) was first reported as a competitive inhibitor of SHP2, with an IC 50 value of 0.20 ± 0.029 μM and the selectivity of 1.8-fold and 4.35-fold to high homologous proteins SHP1 and PTP1B, respectively. Compound A-1 also showed high inhibitory activity on SHP2-E76K and SHP2-E76A mutants, with IC 50 values of 0.95 ± 0.21 μM and 0.29 ± 0.045 μM, respectively. Cell viability assay showed that compound A-1 could inhibit the proliferation of a variety of cancer cells. Apoptosis assay showed that compound A-1 could effectively induce apoptosis of KRASG12C-mut NCI-H23 and KRASG12S-mut A549 cells. Western blot assay showed that compound A-1 could down regulate the phosphorylation levels of Erk1/2 and Akt in NCI-H23 and A549 cells. Molecular docking showed that compound A-1 could effectively dock to the catalytic active region of SHP2. Molecular dynamics simulation explored the effect of compound A-1 on SHP2, revealing the deep-seated binding mechanism. In this work, a simple, accurate, and rapid capillary electrophoresis with an indirect ultraviolet detection method was developed to simultaneous separate 10 biogenic amines. It was found that β‐cyclodextrin and ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid facilitated the separation of tryptamine and tyramine, spermidine and spermine, respectively. The optimized background electrolytes consisted of 20.0 mmol/L imidazole, 8.0 mmol/L β‐cyclodextrin, 0.5 mmol/L ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid, and 6.0% methanol (at pH 4.50 adjusted with acetic acid). The total analysis time of this method was less than 11 min with limits of detection in the range of 0.14–1.98 mg/L. The interday relative standard deviation of migration time and peak area were less than 1.36% and 4.44% (n = 6), respectively. To verify the applicability, this method was carried out to analyze biogenic amines in commercial luncheon meat samples. Due to the complex composition of luncheon meat, the real samples were rinsed with deionized water to reduce the influence of matrices. It was found that both storage temperature and protein content of the luncheon meat samples affected the biogenic amines content during storage. Ovarian cancer is one of the most lethal gynecological malignancies, because of metastatic dissemination with poor late clinical therapy. Maggots have been used in traditional Chinese medicine, where they are also known as 'Wu Gu Chong'. Previous studies have indicated that maggot extract (ME) was beneficial for the treatment of gastric cancer when combined with other drugs, but the effect on anti-ovarian cancer and the underlying mechanism remains unclear. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of ME on suppressing the proliferation and migration of ovarian cancer cells, and to clarify the underlying mechanism. In this research, Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8), colony formation assay, and luciferase-positive cell quantification assay were employed to identify the inhibitory effects of ME on cell proliferation. Then, the pro-apoptosis and anti-metastasis effects of ME were explored by Western blot, dual annexin V-fluorescein isothiocyanate/propidium iodide (FITC/PI) assay, immunofluorescent staining, and wound-healing assay. We further established a xenograft model by subcutaneously or intraperitoneally injecting BALB/c nude mice with SKOV3 cells stably expressing luciferase, and the mice were treated with ME. The results showed that ME therapy effectively restrained the growth and metastasis of ovarian tumors in vivo. Furthermore, the mRNA levels of cancer factors including heat shock protein 90 alpha family class B member 1 (HSP90AB1), MYC, and insulin like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF1R) were analyzed by quantitative real-time PCR assay to explore the possible antitumor mechanisms of ME. Next, HSP90 ATPase activity was inhibited by geldanamycin in A2780, and the cell viability was shown to be dramatically reduced, decreasing further with the combination of ME and cisplatin. In turn, HSP90AB1 overexpression effectively inhibited the effect of ME in suppressing capability for cell viability and migration. In addition, HSP90AB1 overexpression limited the ability of ME to inhibit expression of MYC and IGF1R, while the opposite effect was observed for expression of pro-apoptosis protein caspase3 and BAX. Therefore, this study confirmed the potential roles and mechanisms of ME in inhibiting the growth and metastasis of ovarian tumors and promoting apoptosis of ovarian cancer cells by inhibiting overexpression of HSP90AB1. The mounting behaviour of dairy cows is driven by oestrus and is also related to their welfare. To improve the accuracy and speed of the detection of mounting of dairy cows in dense scenes, a detection model for the mounting behaviour of dairy cows was developed in this study based on the feature enhancement module. Firstly, an improved attention module (C3GC-3) based on global context information and convolution was proposed to capture long-distance dependence. Then, a feature enhancement module based on atrous spatial pyramid pooling and the C3GC-3 was designed to realise the multiscale fusion of high-level semantic information and improve the feature extraction ability of the model for dense dairy cows images. Finally, the K-means clustering algorithm was used to obtain new anchors for the mounting behaviour of dairy cows, and CIoU was used to optimise the loss function. A camera was installed on a farm containing 200 dairy cows for data collection. The mosaic method was used to expand the 2668 images of the mounting behaviour of dairy cows to train the model, and the remaining 675 images were used to test the model. The experimental results showed that the proposed model had a high inference speed of 61 fps, and the detection time for each image was 16.3 ms, which met the real-time performance requirements for detecting mounting in dairy cows. The mean average precision of the model was 94.3%, which was 5.9% higher than that of YOLOv5l. In the EAST radiative divertor experiments, stable detachment and divertor protection have been achieved with mixed impurity gas seeding. Experiments indicate that neon (Ne) is an appropriate external impurity for plasma detachment in EAST. In this work, the physical mechanism of plasma detachment with Ne seeding in EAST is studied by using the SOLPS-ITER code package. The electron temperature Tet on the upper outer divertor target decreases to below 10 eV with Ne seeding, which is mainly due to the power loss and upstream power drop caused by the impurity radiation. For Tet < 10 eV, the significant drop of the poloidal saturation ion current js,p occurs around the upper outer strike point. The simulation results show that the js,p drop is mainly driven by the rise of the momentum loss and the upstream pressure loss. The increase in the momentum loss is mainly caused by the plasma–neutral interactions in the region from the X-point to the upper outer divertor target. The upstream pressure loss around the X-point is related to the decrease in the upstream electron temperature Teu, which originates from the increased radiation loss with Ne seeding. Surgical resection of lesions and closed‐loop suppression are the two main treatment options for patients with refractory epilepsy whose symptoms cannot be managed with medicines. Unfortunately, failures in foci localization and seizure prediction are constraining these treatments. Electrical impedance tomography (EIT), sensitive to impedance changes caused by blood flow or cell swelling, is a potential new way to locate epileptic foci and predict seizures. Animal validation is a necessary research process before EIT can be used in clinical practice, but it is unclear which among the many animal epilepsy models is most suited to this task. The selection of an animal model of epilepsy that is similar to human seizures and can be adapted to EIT is important for the accuracy and reliability of EIT research results. This study provides an overview of the animal models of epilepsy that have been used in research on the use of EIT to locate the foci or predict seizures; discusses the advantages and disadvantages of these models regarding inducement by chemical convulsant and electrical stimulation; and finally proposes optimal animal models of epilepsy to obtain more convincing research results for foci localization and seizure prediction by EIT. This work focused on removed mode of titanium target material and deposition process of the TiN film in a novel dual pulse power magnetron sputtering (DPPMS), which could improve deposition rate and properties of the TiN film. The study was carried out using DPPMS with different target power ratios between the first and the second ionized periods (P w /P s). It was found that when P w /P s was changed from 0.9/1.6 to 0.3/2.2, the removed mode of target material changed from sputtering to sputtering and evaporation, and the deposition rate of TiN films increased from 26 to 61 nm/min. All TiN films showed face center cubic (fcc) crystal structure and typical columnar microstructure. The compactness and size of columnar structure were improved with P w /P s changed from 0.9/1.6 to 0.3/2.2. Objective: To investigate the angioarchitectural factors associated with postoperative cerebral infarction in ischemic moyamoya disease. Methods: Data on patients who underwent surgery for ischemic MMD from 1 October 2015 to 31 October 2020, at Peking University International Hospital were collected and retrospectively analyzed. General conditions such as patient sex, age, site of surgery, preoperative manifestations such as TIA attack and old cerebral infarction, and seven angioarchitectural factors of the MMD based on DSA were selected and measured. Statistical analysis was performed by the Pearson chi-square statistic, analysis of variance (ANOVA), and multifactor logistic regression analysis. Results: Age (OR, 0.969; 95%CI, 0.939–1.000; p = 0.049), A1stenosis (OR, 5.843; 95%CI, 1.730–19.732; p = 0.004), M1stenosis (OR, 6.206; 95%CI, 2.079–18.526; p = 0.001), PCA anomalies (OR, 4.367; 95%CI, 1.452–13.129; p = 0.049), Unstable compensation (OR, 5.335; 95%CI, 1.427–19.948; p = 0.013), TIA (OR, 4.264; 95%CI, 1.844–9.863; p = 0.001), Old cerebral infarction (OR, 2.972; 95%CI, 1.194–7.397; p = 0.019). The above seven factors can be used in the regression equation to predict the probability of postoperative cerebral infarction. The prediction accuracy is 90.2%. Conclusions: Age, TIA attack, old cerebral infarction, and five angioarchitectural factors of MMD are strongly associated with postoperative cerebral infarction. Purpose: Three-dimensional (3D) printing provides more possibilities for composite manufacturing. Composites can no longer just be layered or disorderly mixed as before. This paper aims to introduce a new algorithm for dual-material 3D printing design. Design/methodology/approach: A novel topology design method: solid isotropic material with penalization (SIMP) for hybrid lattice structure is introduced in this paper. This algorithm extends the traditional SIMP topology optimization, transforming the original 0–1 optimization into A–B optimization. It can be used to optimize the spatial distribution of bi-material composite structures. Findings: A novel hybrid structure with high damping and strength efficiency is studied as an example in this work. By using the topology method, a hybrid Kagome structure is designed. The 3D Kagome truss with face sheet was manufactured by selective laser melting technology, and the thermosetting polyurethane was chosen as filling material. The introduced SIMP method for hybrid lattice structures can be considered an effective way to improve lattice structures' stiffness and vibration characteristics. Grey mould, caused by Botrytis cinerea, is an increasingly destructive disease of ginseng (Panax ginseng) in China. However, the extent of variation in the morphological characteristics of fungal colonies, genetic background and pathogenicity of different strains of this pathogen remains unknown. In this study, we isolated and identified 102 isolates of B. cinerea from ginseng. Among these, the sclerotial phenotype was dominant, followed by the mycelial and conidial phenotypes, with the proportion of each phenotype in the pathogen population showing no obvious variance across three provinces. Isolates were separated into three groups with differing pathogenicity, based on the diameter of the lesions they caused in pathogenicity tests; moderate-pathogenicity isolates were dominant, followed by strong- and weak-pathogenicity isolates. Variation was observed in the pathogenicity of isolates from three provinces. The Nei's genetic diversity index and the Shannon's information index of isolates from Jilin province was highest, followed by those from Liaoning, while isolates from Heilongjiang displayed the lowest genetic diversity. Furthermore, most of the genetic variance was found within the geographically defined B. cinerea populations; the low-genetic variance among populations was probably counteracted by gene flow. Results from this study provide a base understanding of genetic and pathogenic variation in B. cinerea populations from the main ginseng-growing regions of China, which will be helpful for further research and control of grey mould of ginseng. Due to climate change and increasing anthropogenic activities, lakes are disturbed frequently, usually by press (e.g., diffused pollution, rising temperatures) or pulse (e.g., storms, rainfall, pollution events) disturbances. Both press and pulse disturbances can affect abiotic and biotic environments, changing the structure of ecosystems and affecting ecosystem services. To confront with the effects of climate change and increasing anthropogenic activities, understanding the different effects of press and pulse disturbances on lake ecosystems is essential. This study assessed the effect of press and pulse disturbances of phosphorus on a microcosmic aquatic ecosystem by measuring the total phosphorus (TP), algae density, and physiological indicators of submerged macrophytes. We found that the microcosmic aquatic ecosystem responded differently to press and pulse disturbances. Our results suggested that it had a lower resistance to pulse phosphorus disturbances than to press phosphorus disturbances. There were significantly higher nutrient concentrations and algal densities in the pulse treatment than in the press treatment. Positive feedback was found between the biomass of submerged macrophytes and the water quality. There was a higher submerged macrophytes biomass at low TP concentration and algal density. In the context of climate change, press and pulse disturbances could have severe impacts on lake ecosystems. Our findings will provide some insight for further research and lake management. Atrial fibrillation (AF) is a form of sustained cardiac arrhythmia and microRNAs (miRs) play crucial roles in the pathophysiology of AF. To identify novel miR–mRNA pairs, we performed RNA-seq from atrial biopsies of persistent AF patients and non-AF patients with normal sinus rhythm (SR). Differentially expressed miRs (11 down and 9 up) and mRNAs (95 up and 82 down) were identified and hierarchically clustered in a heat map. Subsequently, GO, KEGG, and GSEA analyses were run to identify deregulated pathways. Then, miR targets were predicted in the miRDB database, and a regulatory network of negatively correlated miR–mRNA pairs was constructed using Cytoscape. To select potential candidate genes from GSEA analysis, the top-50 enriched genes in GSEA were overlaid with predicted targets of differentially deregulated miRs. Further, the protein–protein interaction (PPI) network of enriched genes in GSEA was constructed, and subsequently, GO and canonical pathway analyses were run for genes in the PPI network. Our analyses showed that TNF-α, p53, EMT, and SYDECAN1 signaling were among the highly affected pathways in AF samples. SDC-1 (SYNDECAN-1) was the top-enriched gene in p53, EMT, and SYDECAN1 signaling. Consistently, SDC-1 mRNA and protein levels were significantly higher in atrial samples of AF patients. Among negatively correlated miRs, miR-302b-3p was experimentally validated to suppress SDC-1 transcript levels. RNA interference (RNAi), known for the highly efficient targeted gene silencing, has been demonstrated to be a promising means for cancer treatment. Meanwhile, an effective approach for siRNA delivery is urgently needed to meet the needs for its clinical application. Herein, we constructed a polymeric vector labeled with superparamagnetic iron oxide (SPIO) for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) visible siRNA delivery. EGFR antibody was also modified to the surface of nanodrug to enhance the delivery effect. Our results showed that the vector exhibited great siRNA complexation ability and mediated an increased endocytosis of siRNA without obvious cytotoxicity. Besides, both in vitro and in vivo studies evidenced the vector could effectively deliver siRNA into tumor cells, exert highly interfering effect, and show potent MR imaging capacity. The maximum rate of Rubisco carboxylation (Vcmax) determines leaf photosynthetic capacity and is a key parameter for estimating the terrestrial carbon cycle, but its spatial information is lacking, hindering global ecological research. Here, we convert leaf chlorophyll content (LCC) retrieved from satellite data to Vcmax , based on plants' optimal distribution of nitrogen between light harvesting and carboxylation pathways. We also derive Vcmax from satellite (GOME-2) observations of sun-induced chlorophyll fluorescence (SIF) as a proxy of leaf photosynthesis using a data assimilation technique. These two independent global Vcmax products agree well (r2=0.79,RMSE=15.46µ mol m -2 s -1 , P<0.001) and compare well with 3672 ground-based measurements (r2=0.69,RMSE=13.8µ mol m -2 s -1 and P<0.001 for SIF; r2=0.55,RMSE=18.28µ mol m -2 s -1 and P<0.001 for LCC). The LCC-derived Vcmax product is also used to constrain the retrieval of Vcmax from TROPical Ozone Mission (TROPOMI) SIF data to produce an optimized Vcmax product using both SIF and LCC information. The global distributions of these products are compatible with Vcmax computed from an ecological optimality theory using meteorological variables, but importantly reveal additional information on the influence of land cover, irrigation, soil pH, and leaf nitrogen on leaf photosynthetic capacity. These satellite-based approaches and spatial Vcmax products are primed to play a major role in global ecosystem research. Objective. To study the relationship between insulin resistance and urinary microalbumin creatinine ratio in postmenopausal women. Methods. The selected research group comprised 104 postmenopausal women with type 2 diabetes who were admitted to the Department of Endocrinology in the green card center at the First Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical University between 2017 and 2019 inclusive. Ninety-eight postmenopausal women with the normal blood glucose metabolism hospitalized in the same period were used as the control group. The age, body mass index, systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), heart rate, fasting blood glucose, fasting insulin (FINS), glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c), total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), high-density lipoprotein (HDL-C), low-density lipoprotein (LDL-C), and urinary albumin-creatinine ratio (UACR) were analyzed. The insulin resistance index (HOMR-IR) was calculated, and the correlation between IR and UACR was analyzed. Results. Levels of HOMA-IR, SBP, HbA1c, HDL-C, LDL-C, TC, TG, FPG, FINS, and UACR in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and a significant difference was found between the groups (P < 0.05). The level of DBP in the study group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed that UACR was positively correlated with HOMA-IR and HbA1c (r = 0.254, r = 0.565, P < 0.01). Multiple linear stepwise regression analysis further showed that HOMA-IR and age were positively correlated with UACR (P < 0.05). Conclusion. Basal plane dislocations (BPDs) are one of the most harmful dislocations in 4H silicon carbide (4H-SiC). Understanding the nucleation of BPDs is the basis of reducing the density of BPDs in 4H-SiC. Purpose. Lung cancer is a relatively common type of cancer, and the incidence rate has been on the rise in recent years. MicroRNAs are a class of endogenous small RNA molecules, which are essential for the posttranscriptional regulation of genes. miR-29b is closely related to the occurrence and development of tumors, including prostate cancer, colon cancer, and breast cancer. However, few studies have been performed to explore the expression and pathway of miR-29b in non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Methods. Using bioinformatics analysis, we found that patients with low relative expression of the miR-29b gene have a low long-term survival rate. The results of in vitro research showed that when miR-29b expression was upregulated, the invasion, migration, and proliferation of A549 and NCI-H-1792 cells was inhibited, and the apoptosis was accelerated. Results. The results showed that FEM1B is a miR-29b target gene, and the expressions of FEM1B and miR-29b were negatively correlated. Like the upregulation of miR-29b expression, silencing the FEM1B expression could also impair the invasion, migration, and proliferation abilities of A549 and NCI-H-1792 cells. When FEM1B expression was restored, the inhibitory effect of miR-29b could be reversed. Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and western blot (WB) analysis showed that overexpression of miR-29b could inhibit the expression of FEM1B, AKT, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), and Sirt3 in A549 and NCI-H-1792 cells and upregulate the expression of FOXO1 protein. Conclusion. The results of this study indicate that miR-29b inhibits the proliferation and deterioration of NSCLC cells by targeting FEM1B and inhibiting the activation of the FOXO1/AKT pathway. miR-29b may become a new target for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer, and it is expected to become a new inhibitor of NSCLC. With the rapid development of high-speed rail in China, addressing the issue of safety assurance during the operation of the train is very important. A very important part of a train's power supply system is the pantograph and catenary system, which consists of a pantograph and a catenary. Failure of the pantograph-catenary system can cause significant damage to the normal operation of the train. The dynamic performance of the pantograph-catheter system must be detected in real time during the operation of the train. This paper is based on the study and analysis of pantograph-catheter dynamic performance parameters and developed a system for real-time detection of pantograph-catheter dynamic performance parameters based on a car visual system. The results are as follows: based on this detection method, the visual error is low and the accuracy is high. The machine-based directional height detection module developed in this paper has a good detection effect and high test accuracy; the arcing detection module designed in this paper can effectively detect the arcing and store the arcing pictures and can display the duration of single arcing and the arcing rate of the section in real-time. The practical application effect is good. The results show that the focal length of the camera lens is 16 mm, and the error of the machine vision system is low. The system designed in this paper may make a great contribution to the operation condition monitoring and fault diagnosis of the pantograph-catenary system of a high-speed train in the future. In this paper, we examine the long-time dynamics of an epidemic model whose diffusion and reaction terms involve nonlocal effects described by suitable convolution operators. The spreading front of the disease is represented by the free boundaries in the model. We show that the model is well-posed, its long-time dynamical behaviour is characterised by a spreading-vanishing dichotomy, and we also obtain sharp criteria to determine the dichotomy. Some of the nonlocal effects in the model pose extra difficulties in the mathematical treatment, which are dealt with by introducing new approaches. This study investigated whether negative stereotypes are responsible for the effect of ASD knowledge on social distance from individuals with ASD among college students. A sample of 869 neurotypical Chinese college students completed a cross-sectional survey to assess social distance, ASD knowledge, and negative stereotypes. Pearson correlation analysis yielded significant correlations between social distance, ASD knowledge, and negative stereotypes. Multiple mediation analysis showed that negative stereotypes mediated the link between social distance and ASD knowledge. Specifically, greater ASD knowledge predicted reduced social distance through decreased stereotyping related to dangerousness, personal responsibility for the disorder, and discontinuity, but also predicted greater social distance through increased stereotyping related to social inappropriateness. The findings deepen our understanding of the association between ASD knowledge and social distance by revealing the mediating role of negative stereotypes, and provide information that can help improve anti-stigma initiatives in college settings. Western corn rootworm (WCR), Diabrotica virgifera virgifera, LeConte, is an insect pest that poses a significant threat to the productivity of modern agriculture, causing significant economic and crop losses. The development of genetically modified (GM) crops expressing one or more proteins that confer tolerance to specific insect pests, such as WCR, was a historic breakthrough in agricultural biotechnology and continues to serve as an invaluable tool in pest management. Despite this, evolving resistance to existing insect control proteins expressed in current generation GM crops requires continued identification of new proteins with distinct modes of action while retaining targeted insecticidal efficacy. GM crops expressing insecticidal proteins must undergo extensive safety assessments prior to commercialization to ensure that they pose no increased risk to the health of humans or other animals relative to their non-GM conventional counterparts. As part of these safety evaluations, a weight of evidence approach is utilized to assess the safety of the expressed insecticidal proteins to evaluate any potential risk in the context of dietary exposure. This study describes the food and feed safety assessment of Vpb4Da2, a new Bacillus thuringiensis insecticidal protein that confers in planta tolerance to WCR. Vpb4Da2 exhibits structural and functional similarities to other insect control proteins expressed in commercialized GM crops. In addition, the lack of homology to known toxins or allergens, a lack of acute toxicity in mice, inactivation by conditions commonly experienced in the human gut or during cooking/food processing, and the extremely low expected dietary exposure to Vpb4Da2 provide a substantial weight of evidence to demonstrate that the Vpb4Da2 protein poses no indication of a risk to the health of humans or other animals. The trace anomalous energy contribution to the proton mass is a very important topic in non-perturbative QCD and hadron physics. In experiments, it is under the hot discussions on how to measure the trace anomalous energy. The QCD interpretation of proton trace anomaly is still not clear. To connect the theory with the experiment, we extract the trace anomaly by analyzing the near-threshold photo-production data of ϕ and J/ ψ vector mesons. Based on the vector-meson-dominance model and QCD Van der Waals representation, we find that the percentage of trace anomaly in the proton mass ranges from 16 to 24 % , which is of similar order of magnitude as the 23 % given by Lattice QCD. We also provide the approximate magnitudes of the systematic uncertainties of the extracted results from the model assumptions as well as the data fitting procedures. We give relative statistical uncertainties of 17.2 % , 17.7 % , 3.6 % , and 8.2 % , total relative systematic uncertainties of 21.4 % , 54.2 % , 37.2 % , and 25.7 % , for the analyses of the GlueX, LEPS, CLAS, and SAPHIR data, respectively. We theoretically study the orbital-resolved photoelectron momentum distributions (PMDs) of neon atoms in time-delayed bichromatic elliptically polarized attosecond pulses by numerically solving the two-dimensional time-dependent Schrödinger equation (2D-TDSE). The active electron can reach the continuum state at the same momentum by absorbing m 2 high-energetic photons or m 1 low-energetic photons sequentially, and coherent electron wave packets (CEWPs) from these two pathways can interfere with each other. We show the PMDs exhibit an asymmetrical round when the single-photon ionization channel dominates, while spiral structures with the number of arms are m 1 - m 2 ( m 1 + m 2 ) for the corotating (counter-rotating) scheme. Furthermore, we find that interference patterns in PMDs are sensitive to the amplitude ratio, frequency combinations, dichroism, time delay and ellipticity of bichromatic elliptically polarized attosecond pulses, which offers possibilities for controlling the interference of CEWPs in atoms by shaping the bichromatic elliptically polarized attosecond pulses. Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to propose a high-precision attitude solution to solve the attitude drift problem caused by the dispersion of low-cost micro-electro-mechanical system devices in strap-down inertial navigation attitude solution of micro-quadrotor. Design/methodology/approach: In this study, a three-stage attitude estimation scheme that combines data preprocessing, gyro drifts prediction and enhanced unscented Kalman filtering (UKF) is proposed. By introducing a preprocessing model, the quaternion orientation is calculated as the composition of two algebraic quaternions, and the decoupling feature of the two quaternions makes the roll and pitch components independent of magnetic interference. A novel real-time based on differential value (DV) estimation algorithm is proposed for gyro drift. This novel solution prevents the impact of quartic characteristics and uses the iterative method to meet the requirement of real-time applications. A novel attitude determination algorithm, the pre-process DV-UKF algorithm, is proposed in combination with UKF based on the above solution and its characteristics. Findings: Compared to UKF, both simulation and experimental results demonstrate that the pre-process DV-UKF algorithm has higher reliability in attitude determination. The dynamic errors in the three directions of the attitude are below 2.0°, the static errors are all less than 0.2° and the absolute attitude errors tailored by average are about 47.98% compared to the UKF. Originality/value: This paper fulfils an identified need to achieve high-precision attitude estimation when using low-cost inertial devices in micro-quadrotor. Secondly, this paper discusses the recipe and jade-like mechanism of lead-barium glass based on the analysis of chemical composition and results of simulation experiment. Finally, the origin of lead-barium glass is discussed in this paper, combining the lead-glass in the west of the Old Continent with the high-temperature products such as lead bronze, lead-barium faience, lead-barium glazed pottery, and copper-barium silicate in the east of the Old Continent. The ways in which natural ecosystems respond to global change have become an urgent concern to society. Lakes play a pivotal role in ecosystem changes because of their central position within watersheds and their involvement in various endogenous and cross-system ecological and biogeochemical processes, leaving natural archives accumulated in sediments over time. However, how lake ecosystems have responded to atmospheric changes during the past few centuries is still not fully understood. To analyse the process in more detail, we conducted a case study at Lake Genco, a remote alpine on the southeastern Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau (QTP) and recovered a 170-year history of lake's ecosystem from a 210Pb-dated sediment core. The air temperature increased between 1900 and 1950 CE and 1980 and 2020 CE. Geochemical and physical proxies (magnetic susceptibility, Sr/Ba, K/Al, Na/Al, Ti, Pb, P flux, TN and δ15N org) indicated greater degrees of weathering and erosion, and higher nutrient loadings as terrestrial systems responded to atmospheric changes after 1900 CE. Higher primary aquatic productivity, richer biodiversity and weaker structural stability were found in Lake Genco between 1852 and 2017 CE, although the ecological response was quiet in terms of the compositional change in the diatom community, which was generally dominated by small planktonic Cyclotella ocellata. During warmer periods, diatom PC1 changed directionally due to the overall increase in the abundance of tychoplanktonic Fragilaria construens and periphytic Achnanthes minutissima and the decreasing abundance (∼10%) of C. ocellata. This study provides empirical evidence that ecological changes in remote lakes rely on interactions between the atmosphere and the landscape and helps us to understand the complexity of the various impacts of global climate change. • A simple and reliable interenzyme distance regulation strategy was developed. • The biosensor achieved a detection limit for Ochratoxin A as low as 3.1 fg/mL. • This strategy was applied to detect Ochratoxin A in coffee and orange juice samples. Developing sensitive and accurate Ochratoxin A (OTA) detection methods is essential for food safety. Herein, a simple and reliable strategy for regulating interenzyme distance based on a rigid DNA quadrangular prism as a scaffold was proposed to establish a new electrochemical biosensor for ultrasensitive detection of OTA. The interenzyme distances were precisely adjusted by changing the sequences of the hybridized portions of hairpins SH1 and SH2 to the DNA quadrangular prism, avoiding the complexity and instability of the previous DNA scaffold-based enzyme spacing adjustment strategies. The electrochemical biosensor constructed at the optimal interenzyme distance (10.4 nm) achieved sensitive detection of OTA in a dynamic concentration range from 10 fg/mL to 250 ng/mL with a detection limit of 3.1 fg/mL. In this work, orange fluorescence emitting quantum dots (OQDs) have been facilely synthesized by one-step method. The participation of silver ion (Ag+) can evoke the unique aggregation-induced emission (AIE) of OQDs, resulting in prominent fluorescence enhancement, which is scarcely reported previously. Moreover, the Ag+-triggered turn-on fluorescence can be continuously shut down by mercury ion (Hg2+). This intriguing sequential fluorescence variation exhibits great sensing potency for discrimination and quantification of Ag+ and Hg2+. Meanwhile, our OQDs also exhibit good selectivity, sensitivity, and rapid response toward Ag+ and Hg2+ detection. Due to their high performance, OQDs have been applied to the determination of Ag+ and Hg2+ levels in daily necessities and water samples with satisfactory results. Moreover, a portable smartphone-assisted sensing platform based on chromatic change has been constructed, facilitating the real-time and naked-eye visualization in the resource-confined scene. Fluoride, a ubiquitous environmental compound, carries significant health risks at excessive levels. This study investigated the reproductive toxicity of fluoride exposure during puberty in mice, focusing on its impact on testicular development, spermatogenesis, and underlying mechanisms. The results showed that fluoride exposure during puberty impaired testicular structure, induced germ cell apoptosis, and reduced sperm counts in mice. Additionally, the SOD activity and GSH content were significantly decreased, while MDA content was significantly elevated in the NaF group. Immunohistochemistry showed an increase in the number of cells positive for GRP78, a key ER stress marker. Moreover, qRT-PCR and Western blot analyses confirmed the upregulation of both Grp7 8 mRNA and protein expression, as well as increased mRNA expression of other ER stress-associated genes (Grp94 , chop , Atf6 , Atf4, and Xbp1) and enhanced protein expression of phosphorylated PERK, IRE1α, eIF2α, JNK, XBP-1, ATF-6α, ATF-4, and CHOP. Pest management technology has been a promising bioconversion method for waste resource utilization. Unlike many pests that consume waste, the larvae of Lucilia sericata , also known as maggots, have many outstanding advantages as following: with their strong adaption to environment and not easily infected and exhibiting a medicinal nutritional value. Herein, the potential efficacies of maggot polysaccharides (MP), as well as their underlying mechanisms, were explored in Dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced colitis mice and TNF-α-elicited Caco-2 cells. We extracted two bioactive polysaccharides from maggots, MP-80 and MP-L, whose molecular weights were 4.25 × 103 and 2.28 × 103 g/mol, respectively. MP-80 and MP-L contained nine sugar residues: 1,4-α-Arap, 1,3-β-Galp, 1,4,6-β-Galp, 1,6-α-Glcp, 1-α-Glcp, 1,4-β-Glcp, 1-β-Xylp, 1,2-α-Manp, and 1-β-Manp. We demonstrated that MP-80 and MP-L significantly ameliorated DSS-induced symptoms and histopathological damage. Immuno-analysis revealed that compared with MP-L, MP-80 could better restore intestinal barrier and reduced inflammation by suppressing NLRP3/NF-κB pathways, which might be attributed to its enriched galactose fraction. Moreover, 16S rRNA sequencing revealed that MP-80 and MP-L both improved the dysbiosis and diversity of gut microbiota and acted on multiple microbial functions. Several indicators of soil physicochemical and plant characteristics, enzyme activity, amino sugar, lignin phenols were measured.The results indicated that the contents of microbial and plant residue carbon in GL and RP increased with the increasing restoration years. However, the contribution of plant residue carbon to the SOC in GL and RP gradually decreased, while microbial residue carbon showed the opposite trend. In contrast, microbial residues were the main contributor to SOC in GL (62.8–75.1%), while plant residues were the main contributor to SOC in RP (47.2–58.3%). There was a difference in the bacterial and fungal residue carbon contribution to SOC between GL and RP. In GL, the dominant contributor to SOC changed from bacterial (47.7–37.2%) to fungal residues (15.1–37.9%). However, how plant residues and microbial residues affect SOC accumulation and the underlying mechanisms remain poorly understood, especially in the succession process of different vegetation types.In this study, grasslands (GL) and Robinia pseudoacacia plantations (RP) restored for 10, 20, 30, and 40 years were used as research subjects on the Loess Plateau, and farmland was used as a control. Several indicators of soil physicochemical and plant characteristics, enzyme activity, amino sugar, lignin phenols were measured.The results indicated that the contents of microbial and plant residue carbon in GL and RP increased with the increasing restoration years. However, the contribution of plant residue carbon to the SOC in GL and RP gradually decreased, while microbial residue carbon showed the opposite trend. In contrast, microbial residues were the main contributor to SOC in GL (62.8–75.1%), while plant residues were the main contributor to SOC in RP (47.2–58.3%). There was a difference in the bacterial and fungal residue carbon contribution to SOC between GL and RP. In GL, the dominant contributor to SOC changed from bacterial (47.7–37.2%) to fungal residues (15.1–37.9%). But in RP, it has always been dominated by fungal residue carbon (17.4–33.3%).More SOC accumulated in GL and RP in the form of microbial and plant residue carbon, respectively. In GL and RP, the contribution of carbon from fungal residues increased with the increase of recovery years. Overall, our research not only contributes to understanding the complexity of the carbon cycle in ecosystems, but also provides a valuable scientific basis for the management of soil carbon pools in different vegetation types under climate change. Reaction-bonded silicon carbide (RB-SiC) is regarded as difficult-to-machine ceramic materials with extremely high strength and hardness. The work focuses on the grinding performance evaluation of RB-SiC ground by the dressing diamond grinding wheel with AWJ. Orthogonal experiments studied the influence of processing parameters on grinding force and 3D surface roughness, with the response surface method identifying optimal parameters. Explanation of the ground surface topography and 3D surface roughness in a comprehensive manner shows that an erosion of the bonding material by micro-cutting but diamond grains are being pulled out rather than cut. Results reflect a correlation between surface topography and diamond wheel dressing. The results are of great significance for future formulating an appropriate grinding process to machine RB-SiC ceramics. Data anonymization has been used extensively in data-sharing scenarios to protect the privacy of people's raw data. However, in the era of Big Data, the amount of data released has increased so rapidly that most existing data anonymization approaches have become ineffective. This is because the scalability of these approaches is inadequate when dealing with large-scale data. In addition, these approaches cannot handle the sparseness of high-dimensional search space. In this paper, we propose a MapReduce-based approach to address the problem of anonymization of high-dimensional big data. First, our approach uses a vertical partition criterion based on normalized mutual information to decompose raw data into different fragments with smaller dimensionality. Then, a clustering-based local recoding is used to group the records of each fragment into clusters. During this phase, records with similar values of quasi-identifier attributes but dissimilar values of sensitive attributes tend to be grouped. Finally, clusters of each fragment are anonymized to resist simultaneously (1) the disclosure of the individual identification and (2) proximity breaches. Our proposed approach is integrated with MapReduce to implement parallel distributed computing. With increasing attention paid to the effects of learning a foreign language (FL) on older adults in the currently ageing world, psychological individual difference (ID) variables (e.g. learning motivation) remain much under-investigated, compared with cognitive IDs. This exploratory study examined older adults’ English learning motivation in the Chinese context of English as a foreign language (EFL) by conducting a web-based survey (n = 510) and semi-structured interviews (n = 21). Results showed that (1) the selected sociobiographical variables influenced older adults’ English learning motivation to different degrees, among which education, use frequency of English and socioeconomic status (SES) emerged as very important predictors; and (2) four motivators for English learning by older adults emerged as traveling or visiting relatives abroad, keeping the brain in shape, supporting inter-generational communication, and having general interest in the target FL. As one of the first systematic attempts to explore English learning motivation among Chinese older adults, the present study (1) contributes to a further understanding of English learning motivation among older adults in the Chinese EFL context, and (2) provides pedagogical and policy implications for English language teaching targeting older adults. Aim. The aim of this study is to evaluate the impact of Chinese native culture education based on Chinese native culture on the intercultural competence of undergraduate nursing students. Method. A quasi-experimental design with pretest and posttest was used. We recruited nursing students from 4 classes of the School of Nursing in our hospital in 2016 as research subjects. Undergraduate nursing students (n = 79) who completed one semester of education in indigenous Chinese culture completed a demographic questionnaire and the transcultural self-efficacy tool (TSET). Chinese native culture education is the topics related to nursing, consistent with the culture of Chinese patients under the background of Chinese native culture, including the dietary habits, taboos, religions, values, particularly Chinese medicine, and specific diseases. The control group (n = 91) was students who did not participate in Chinese native culture education and completed the instrument during the same time frame. Result. Students who participated in Chinese native cultural education significantly improved their transcultural self-efficacy in three dimensions: cognition, emotion, and practice. Compared with the control group, the students in the cultural education group had higher change scores in three sizes of transcultural self-efficacy. Conclusion. When strengthening cultural education for undergraduate nursing students, adding content related to Chinese native culture can improve their transcultural self-efficacy and meet the growing cultural needs of patients. The multiple kernel $k$ -means (MKKM) and its variants utilize complementary information from different sources, achieving better performance than kernel $k$ -means (KKM). However, the optimization procedures of most previous works comprise two stages, learning the continuous relaxation matrix and obtaining the discrete one by extra discretization procedures. Such a two-stage strategy gives rise to a mismatched problem and severe information loss. Even worse, most existing MKKM methods overlook the correlation among prespecified kernels, which leads to the fusion of mutually redundant kernels and bad effects on the diversity of information sources, finally resulting in unsatisfying results. To address these issues, we elaborate a novel Discrete and Parameter-free Multiple Kernel $k$ -means (DPMKKM) model solved by an alternative optimization method, which can directly obtain the cluster assignment results without subsequent discretization procedure. Moreover, DPMKKM can measure the correlation among kernels by implicitly introducing a regularization term, which is able to enhance kernel fusion by reducing redundancy and improving diversity. Noteworthily, the time complexity of optimization algorithm is successfully reduced, through masterly utilizing of coordinate descent technique, which contributes to higher algorithm efficiency and broader applications. What’s more, our proposed model is parameter-free avoiding intractable hyperparameter tuning, which makes it feasible in practical applications. The nonlinear synchronous resonance or internal resonance in coupled oscillators has great potential for sensing applications, while a higher quality factor is desirable for its low-frequency excitation and high-frequency vibration characteristics. Two types of coupled oscillators are designed to explore the effect of the coupling element geometry on the support loss, one of the main energy dissipation mechanisms relevant to quality factor. Firstly, if the coupling elements are attached to the substrate, a "jump down" phenomenon is confirmed. Secondly, if the coupling elements are detached from the substrate, the proposed support-limited coefficient decreases monotonously with the increase of the coupling width, while both the high-frequency and low-frequency modes have asynchronous maximum values with the changing of coupling position and coupling length respectively. Thirdly, a parallelogram geometry is found to be capable of making the maximum value of the high-frequency mode shift to synchronize with that of the low-frequency mode. Finally, a support-limited quality factor enhancement scheme is therefore proposed by regulating the parallelogram geometry with both the coupling position and the coupling length. The price of photovoltaics (PV) has been steadily decreasing over the last decade, and many reports suggest that PV has become considerably cheaper than conventional electricity sources. In this paper, we critically evaluate the PV grid parity and use China as a case study. China is an interesting case study due to the wealth of data combined with the recent decrease in financial subsidies. Electricity costs are commonly compared in the literature using levelized costs of electricity (LCOE). However traditional LCOE analyses neglect important cost factors that are specific to PV, in particular the cost of grid integration. Here, we demonstrate that system LCOE calculation more accurately estimates the grid parity of PV. We find that the integration costs account for 15% of the total system costs, which cannot be neglected with the higher penetration of PV in the electricity system. Further, provincial grid parity indexes are greater than 1, indicating that the grid parity from a system LCOE perspective has not yet been achieved. The learning rate of Chinese PV is still relatively small, and we estimate that grid parity for PV in China will be achieved between 2020 and 2032, depending on the region. We demonstrate a passively-mode-locked Pr3+: LuLiF4 laser operated at the 604 nm orange wave-length, using monolayer graphene as a saturable absorber. The graphene saturable absorber mirror (SAM) is fabricated by a chemical vapour deposition method and transferred to on a highly reflective plane mirror. This paper investigates the prospect of permanent magnet vernier machine (PMVM) technology for wind power applications. Two types of PMVMs are defined based on the winding arrangements and resultant gear ratio ranges. A comprehensive design study of the selected PMVM topologies is conducted at 1 and 3 MW power levels. The optimized candidate designs of the PMVMs are then evaluated and also compared against the equivalent permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM) in terms of performance, costs, size and mass. While the existing research publications mainly focused on the PMVM designs of ( G r = 5 ), this study reveals that the pole/slot combinations of PMVMs with ( G r ≤ 5 ) are more appealing as there is a good trade-off between a reasonable power factor and high power density in these designs. To solve the problem of liquid-phase synthesis of nano-ZnO, a photocatalytic performance study was proposed. In this study, the microwave homogeneous precipitation method was used to add different types and amounts of surfactants. The synthesis of nano-zinc oxide was controlled by changing the reaction system conditions. The photocatalytic properties of nano-zinc oxide for degrading three water-soluble dyes were preliminarily studied and discussed. Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) is a complicated and deadly disorder. Dysregulation of miRNAs in SAH has been widely reported. This investigation elucidated the function of miR-23a-3p in the in vivo and in vitro models of SAH. The miR-23a-3p and VCAN levels in SAH rats and sham controls were detected by RT-qPCR. The SAH rats were intracerebrally administrated with miR-23a-3p antagomir. Morphological changes and brain function were assessed. The isolated brain microvascular endothelial cells (BMECs), identified by immunofluorescence staining, were used as the model of SAH in vitro. The viability and apoptosis of BMECs were evaluated using MTT, flow cytometry, and western blotting analyses. Targeted relationship between miR-23a-3p and VCAN was predicted in miRDB and validated by a luciferase reporter assay. We found that the miR-23a-3p level was upregulated in rats after SAH, while VCAN was downregulated. Silencing miR-23a-3p attenuated neurological deficits and neuronal apoptosis in rats after SAH. VCAN was verified to be targeted by miR-23a-3p. Functionally, miR-23a-3p downregulation or VCAN overexpression inhibited BMEC apoptosis and promoted cell activity. Moreover, knockdown of VCAN eliminated the influence of miR-23a-3p inhibition in BMECs. Overall, suppression of miR-23a-3p improves cognitive function after SAH by targeting VCAN.
