The objective of this contribution is to analyze the characteristics of the film industry in the Moroccan context. Based on the study of public policies and the practices of the actors within the various cinematographic functions, the emphasis is placed on the main constraints facing the film industry. This includes, in particular, limits on the production, distribution, exploitation and protection of copyright of cinematographic works. The methodology adopted combines the analysis of documents and the qualitative field survey, based on semi-directive interviews. The results of the study show an almost total dependence of the actors on public subsidies, which generates imbalances between the main components of the whole sector., Journal of Information Sciences, Vol 21, No 1 (2022)
