Trabalhos em Espaço Confinado são atividades de risco que, apesar de diversas regulações que exigem medidas de controle, ainda ocasionam mortes anualmente no mundo todo. A prática deste tipo de atividade é frequente na indústria de petróleo e derivados para a manutenção e limpeza da parte interna de equipamentos. Em função das características destes processos, que envolvem produtos químicos tóxicos, inflamáveis e explosivos, além de altas temperaturas e pressões, os espaços confinados encontrados neste setor oferecem perigos adicionais. O objetivo deste estudo é mapear os principais fatores de risco encontrados em espaços confinados neste tipo de indústria e apontar as medidas de controle mais apropriadas para cada um deles. Este objetivo foi dividido em três objetivos secundários, abordados em três artigos que serão apresentados em sequência. O primeiro deles teve o objetivo de identificar, sob o ponto de vista dos trabalhadores envolvidos diretamente na execução das tarefas em espaço confinado, quais são os fatores de risco envolvidos, quais as medidas de controle empregadas e em quais casos essas medidas são consideradas insuficientes. O método empregado neste estudo foi o Diagnóstico Participativo de Riscos (Deparis). O segundo artigo apresenta uma revisão sistemática de literatura conduzida pelo método PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) que teve como objetivo levantar o estado da arte sobre medidas de controle para trabalhos em espaço confinado na indústria de petróleo e derivados. Por fim, no terceiro artigo, profissionais especialistas em ergonomia, segurança do trabalho e espaço confinado foram consultados para selecionar as medidas de controle mais indicadas para cada um dos principais fatores de risco levando em consideração a viabilidade da aplicação e efetividade. Essa seleção foi realizada através de um método híbrido que contou com as técnicas AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) e Delphi. O resultado global dessa dissertação foi a elaboração de um guia que aponta fatores que precisam ser avaliados antes do início das atividades e oferece sugestões de medidas de controle entendidas como as mais apropriadas, que se propõe a atender ao objetivo do estudo. Confined Space Works are risky activities that, despite several regulations that require control measures, still cause deaths and injuries every year worldwide. The practice of this type of activity is frequent in the oil and derivatives industry for the maintenance and cleaning of the internal part of equipment. Due to the characteristics of these processes, which involve toxic, flammable and explosive chemicals, in addition to high temperatures and pressures, the confined spaces found in this sector pose additional hazards. The aim of this study is to map the main risk factors found in confined spaces in this type of industry and point out the most appropriate control measures for each of them. This objective was divided into three secondary objectives, addressed in three articles that will be presented in sequence. The first of them had the objective of identifying, from the point of view of the workers directly involved in the execution of tasks in confined spaces, which are the risk factors involved, which control measures are currently employed and in which of them such measures are considered insufficient. The method used in this study was the Participatory Risk Diagnosis (Deparis). The second article presents a systematic literature review conducted by the PRISMA method (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and MetaAnalyses) which aimed to survey the state of the art on control measures for work in confined space in the oil and derivatives industry. Finally, in the third article, specialists in ergonomics, work safety and confined space were consulted to select the most suitable control measures for each the main risk factors, taking into account the feasibility of the application and effectiveness. This selection was performed using a hybrid method that included the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Delphi techniques. In response to the objective of the study, the general result of this study was the elaboration of a guide that points out factors that need to be evaluated before the start of activities and offers suggestions for control measures considered to be the most appropriate.
