This paper first explores the basic process and characteristics of the intelligent algorithm, calculates its fitness function after setting and initializing the intelligent algorithm population, and iterates continuously to obtain a satisfactory optimal solution on the basis of the initialized stochastic solution. Then the optimization of the firefly algorithm is studied. After initializing the firefly population, the random attraction model and the probability factor are introduced to optimize the algorithm. Then, the power scheduling intelligent agent strategy is studied in depth, and the structure and operation process of the intelligent agent operation strategy is determined, as well as its application areas are studied. Finally, the effect of grid load forecasting by power dispatching intelligent agents is analyzed and compared before and after the application of intelligent agent operation strategy in the power system. In terms of grid load prediction accuracy, the actual and prediction errors are basically between 0.02-0.16, which is very close to the actual value. In terms of user satisfaction, the previous user satisfaction was basically 0.75-0.8, and the maximum satisfaction was basically increased to more than 0.9 after applying the intelligent agent operation strategy. The intelligent agent operation strategy based on an intelligent optimization algorithm can effectively dispatch the power system and improve user satisfaction.

Exploring the majorization strategy of the power system (PS) dispatching operation is to achieve economic cost reduction and reduce environmental pollution. In this paper, starting from the PS dispatching model, the adaptive Corsi variance is introduced to get rid of the local optimum using particle swarm majorization procedure, and the adaptive Corsi variance multiple swarm coevolutionary procedure is constructed through coevolutionary strategy and information sharing strategy. The MCPSO-ACPM procedure is used to optimize the PS scheduling operation model, and experiments are conducted on both load and unit for the optimized scheduling model. From the load majorization results, the peak-to-valley variance is concentrated from 176.02KW to 110.51KW compared with the original load, and the peak-to-valley ratio is reduced by 0.718, which saves customers 98.63 yuan in electricity purchase cost. From the scheduling majorization prediction, the PS output power prediction value of 1 min during the day is closest to the actual measured value of output power, and its prediction deviation is about 2.67%. This shows that the use of a multi-objective majorization procedure can realize the optimal dispatch of PS and achieve the reduction of economic cost.

According to the use requirements of the control rod hydraulic drive mechanism，aiming at solving the radioactive problem caused by the use of material containing cobalt element (Co) as the adhesive of the tungsten carbide (WC) coating of the outer casing of the hydraulic cylinder， and based on the friction and wear test matching with the piston ring friction pair， the optimal selection study of the coating for the friction pair of the hydraulic cylinder was carried out， the chromium carbide (Cr3C2) coating scheme was proposed， and the performance of Cr3C2 coating as well as the cold state performance of the hydraulic cylinder were tested. Results showed that the Cr3C2 coating had lower friction coefficient and better friction and wear properties than the WC coating， and the coating properties as well as the cold motion resistance and leakage rate of the hydraulic cylinder were equivalent to those in the case of WC coating， which met the use requirements of the control rod hydraulic drive mechanism. Moreover，unlike the WC coating，Cr3C2 coating did not contain Co，so there was no need for a radioactive treatment.Furthermore， the Cr3C2 coating did not need to deposit TiN film， which simplified the surface treatment process of the friction pair of the outer cylinder of the hydraulic cylinder. The research results could provide technical reserves for the overall performance research of control rod hydraulic drive mechanism and the further upgrading of control rod hydraulic drive technology.

Background: Prostate cancer is a major global health burden, with biochemical recurrence (BCR) following radical prostatectomy affecting 20–40% of patients and posing significant challenges to prognosis and treatment. Emerging evidence suggests a critical role for differentially expressed in normal and neoplastic cell (DENN) domain-containing genes in oncogenesis; however, their implications in prostate cancer and BCR risk remain underexplored. Methods: This study systematically evaluated 151 single-nucleotide polymorphisms in DENN domain-containing genes in 458 patients with prostate cancer and BCR, followed by validation in an independent cohort of 185 patients. Results: Multivariate Cox regression analyses identified DENND2D rs610261 G>A as significantly associated with improved BCR-free survival in both cohorts (adjusted hazard ratio = 0.39, 95% confidence interval = 0.23–0.66, p = 0.001). Functional analysis revealed rs610261's regulatory potential, with the protective A allele correlating with increased DENND2D expression in various human tissues. Compared to normal prostate tissues, DENND2D expression was reduced in prostate cancer, with higher expression being linked to favorable patient prognosis (p = 0.03). Gene set enrichment analysis revealed an association between DENND2D expression and the negative regulation of MYC target genes, including MAD2L1, ERH, and CLNS1A, which are overexpressed in prostate cancer and associated with poor survival. Furthermore, the elevated DENND2D expression promotes immune infiltration in prostate cancer, supporting its role in immune modulation. Conclusions: DENND2D is a prognostic biomarker for BCR in prostate cancer and offers new avenues for personalized treatment strategies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The apoptosis resistance of myofibroblasts is a hallmark in the irreversible progression of pulmonary fibrosis (PF). While the underlying molecular mechanism remains elusive. In this study, we unveiled a previously unrecognized mechanism underlying myofibroblast apoptosis resistance during PF. Our investigation revealed heightened expression of mesenchyme homeobox 1 (MEOX1) in the lungs of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) patients and bleomycin‐induced PF mice. Silencing MEOX1 significantly attenuated PF progression in mice. In vitro, we found a notable increase in MEOX1 expression in transforming growth factor‐β1 (TGF‐β1)‐induced myofibroblasts. Silencing MEOX1 enhanced apoptosis of myofibroblasts. Mechanistically, we identified G‐protein signaling pathway regulatory factor 4 (RGS4) as a critical downstream target of MEOX1, as predicted by bioinformatics analysis. MEOX1 enhanced apoptosis resistance by upregulating RGS4 expression in myofibroblasts. In conclusion, our study highlights MEOX1 as a promising therapeutic target for protecting against PF by modulating myofibroblast apoptosis resistance. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A new integration strategy of grid‐forming‐controlled wind farms connected to the bulk power systems through high‐voltage direct current transmission based on the modular multi‐level converter (MMC) is proposed to solve the problem of traditional uncontrollable DC overvoltage during the short circuit faults at the receiving end. However, a new DC overvoltage phenomenon appears after the fault is cleared, and the interaction between the wind farm and sending‐ and receiving‐end MMCs makes the DC overvoltage mechanism more complex; further exploration shows that DC overvoltage during the sending‐end fault recovery stage occurs under the new integration strategy. Therefore, the evolution process and mechanism of the new DC overvoltage are analysed. It is found that affected by the interaction between wind farms and MMCs, the alternate saturation of the integrators in the PI controller of MMCs is the main cause. Based on this understanding, additional controls are proposed to suppress this DC overvoltage during the fault recovery stage. Simulations are carried out on a test with MATLAB/Simulink, and the results verify the efficacy of the proposed methods in suppressing DC overvoltage. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is characterized by high mortality and morbidity rates. Vav guanine nucleotide exchange factors (VAVs), crucial for signal transduction between cell membrane receptors and intracellular mediators, have been implicated in carcinogenesis. However, their potential prognostic value in RCC remains unclear. The impact of 150 common VAV polymorphisms on RCC risk and survival was investigated in a cohort of 630 individuals. Publicly available gene expression datasets were utilized to analyze VAV gene expression in relation to patient outcomes. The VAV3 rs17019888 polymorphism was significantly associated with RCC risk and overall survival after adjusting for false discovery rates. Expression quantitative trait loci analysis revealed that the risk allele of rs17019888 is linked to reduced VAV3 expression. Analysis of 19 kidney cancer gene expression datasets revealed lower VAV3 expression in RCC tissues compared to normal tissues, with higher expression correlating with better prognosis. Gene set enrichment analysis demonstrated that VAV3 negatively regulates the ubiquitin–proteasome system, extracellular matrix and membrane receptors, inflammatory responses, matrix metalloproteinases, and cell cycle pathways. Furthermore, elevated VAV3 expression was associated with increased infiltration of B cells, macrophages, and neutrophils into the RCC tumor microenvironment. Our findings suggest that VAV3 gene variants influence RCC risk and survival, contributing to a favorable prognosis in RCC. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
