This study outlines the clinical features and comprehensive management of three cases of corneal injury by a bee sting. The stinger removal was attempted, and in two cases, the stinger was successfully removed. In one case, a portion of the stinger broke and was left in situ without inciting any further inflammation. In all the cases, the surrounding infiltrate was scraped, and after microbiological evaluation was found to be negative, topical corticosteroids were started. The management of corneal bee sting injuries should include appropriate surgical intervention along with the judicious use of corticosteroids after infective pathology has been excluded. Purpose: Phototherapeutic keratectomy (PTK) plays an important role in the management of Reis-Bucklers’ corneal dystrophy. The usage of PTK for the treatment of anterior corneal dystrophies is limited by the depth of ablation. This case shows the usage of high ablation depth PTK as one of the management strategies to visually rehabilitate a patient of advanced Reis-Bucklers’ corneal dystrophy. Observations: We present a case of 32-year-old lady who was diagnosed with Reis-Bucklers’ dystrophy in both eyes. The patient had advanced form of the disease and history of recurrent corneal erosions. For visual rehabilitation and symptomatic relief, phototherapeutic keratectomy was planned in both eyes. In view of the advanced nature of the disease, the ablation depth had to be high to get an acceptably clear central cornea. Conclusions and Importance: PTK with high ablation depth is possible in advanced Reis-Bucklers’ corneal dystrophy unlike other types of anterior corneal dystrophies.

We report a case of a woman in her 30s who underwent femtosecond LASIK (laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis) in both eyes to correct her simple myopic astigmatism. After the surgery, both eyes developed diffuse lamellar keratitis, and intensive topical steroids were initiated to control the same. Subsequently, central toxic keratopathy (CTK) developed bilaterally. Three weeks after the surgery, the right eye showed signs of progressive epithelial ingrowth involving the pupillary area. Surgical intervention in the form of flap relift followed by debridement of the epithelial cells and an alcohol interface wash were performed to treat the same. Management of corneal perforation depends on the size, location and cause of the lesion. Smaller perforations can be managed with tissue adhesives (TAs), amniotic membrane transplantation or Tenon’s patch graft (TPG). Tenon’s capsule is an autologous transplant and, as such, does not require to be supplied by an eye bank support. A patient with sterile perforation after foreign body removal came to us. Since the application of TA was already unsuccessful, TPG was performed. The graft integrated well and healed with a vascularised scar. We report the integration of the TPG at the perforation site using high-resolution, anterior-segment, optical coherence tomography. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
