INDUSTRIAL management ,CONSCIOUSNESS raising ,CONTRACTION operators ,SOCIAL impact ,PHYSICAL distribution of goods - Abstract
Purpose: The paper discusses the application of outsourcing in logistics in companies operating online. Companies operating in the global market are constantly seeking new solutions that will enable them to gain and maintain a competitive advantage. One of the solutions used to increase the efficiency of an organisation is outsourcing. The main objective is to identify the advantages and disadvantages of outsourcing in the online market. The application of outsourcing tools in business activities, such as using external companies for the distribution of goods, influences the increase in the competitiveness of companies in the online market through the rapid delivery of products. The use of external logistics operators increases the capacity of companies and helps them strengthen their competitive position in the market. Design/methodology/approach: The objective of the paper was achieved through the theoretical and empirical analysis of the research presented. The paper presents the results of research into online sales behaviour and identifies the advantages and disadvantages of outsourcing. The optimal solution to satisfy customer needs is the use of outsourcing, which is characterised by the high quality of services offered by external entities supporting the operation of companies. Findings: Nowadays, an organisation's success factor is increasingly the ability to manage relationships with customers and suppliers, which refers to both the level of customer service and cooperation with contractors. Many companies, including those operating online, are considering using special logistics outsourcing, the aim of which is to reduce costs and limit unnecessary investments. For example, using courier companies is a good practice of modern companies. This means they do not need to have their own transport, which often generates considerable costs. Research limitations/implications: The topic discussed in the paper is very important in the modern context due to the significant development of online sales. To meet public expectations, cooperation with suppliers is a must. Companies, by signing contracts with external operators, can ensure the quick delivery of shipments without the need to have their own transport. During the research, certain limitations were observed in accessing information, both domestic and international, which could have facilitated a more thorough analysis. Another limitation is finding a larger group of respondents willing to participate in the research. Despite these limitations, the author plans to continue research in this area. Practical implications: Outsourcing is currently used in most industries, regardless of their specifics, which gives this tool a universal character. Companies deciding to use outsourcing should be aware that its implementation requires the execution of many complex actions and detailed analyses, often preceded by significant changes in the organisation's operations. Nowadays, cooperation with contractors is one of the most important factors determining the success of an organisation. Social implications: The paper raises public awareness regarding the use of outsourcing in logistics. The described issues enable the audience to seek new solutions in the activities of various industries. Despite the widespread use of outsourcing, many relationships based on this type of cooperation do not end in success. Originality/value: The added value of the article is to increase the efficiency of companies through the introduction of outsourcing. The issues presented make it possible to increase competitive advantage in a dynamic market. Many companies are considering the use of special logistics outsourcing to reduce costs and unnecessary investments. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

BLACK swan theory ,COVID-19 pandemic ,CRISIS management ,CHANGE management ,INDUSTRIAL management - Abstract
This paper aims to explore the extent to which digitalization can be utilized as a change management tool during black swan events. This article explores how digitalization can help businesses adapt to black swan events like the COVID-19 pandemic and examines the correlation between digitalization growth rates, income, and brand strength in 30 countries with varying viral threats from 2018 to 2021. This paper compares digitalization's impact on change management success in two different contexts. The first context is regular business events that occurred pre-pandemic, as measured by revenue stability and brand strength. The second context is the COVID-19 pandemic and crisis, considered a black swan event. The paper explains the difference in impact and how digitalization can contribute to change management success in both contexts. Our approach to crisis management considers the Black Swan Theory and change management offers a unique and valuable perspective. We found that digitalization can enhance business resilience during the pandemic, although we caution that the benefits of digitalization may be limited to the short term due to its flexibility. Due to consideration of the COVID-19 crisis as a black swan type, this paper clarified the accessibility of digitalization as a measure of crisis management and the scale of the anti-crisis effect of digitalization as a tool of flexibility and adaptation to the black swan. The MSME sector is expected to become a new source of national economic strength during crises. To achieve this, the government should focus on human resources and management. Limited innovation within SMEs has led to stagnant growth, and financial issues often hinder productivity. One community service project is the Suputra herbal incense SME in Angantaka Village, Abiansemal, located 11.2 km from Universitas Warmadewa. According to Mrs. Ayu, the main challenge is limited business management capabilities. A lack of business management knowledge impedes growth. The partnership program aims to increase sales and improve financial practices through three activities: financial management assistance, production management, and creating a product catalog. The results show structured bookkeeping, reduced errors, enhanced management efficiency, and the development of a product catalog. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Although gamified sustainable consumption apps (SCAs) have been on the rise, only a few have survived longer than two years. While most existing research focuses on how gamification contributes to engagement and the formation of more sustainable consumption habits, there is little about how their survival is secured. Intervention's Purpose: Twenty-one SCA creators shared their considerations and experiences managing SCAs, providing valuable insights into the field of gamified sustainable consumption and practical insights for their stakeholders. Methods: Ideal-type and narrative analyses of the interviews unraveled some relevant survival strategies and lessons learned. Results: The creators' motivation and background play a role in the app's survival. Their experiences exposed several aspects affecting their gamification strategies and their relevance for the apps, highlighting traps to avoid and opportunities to improve their standing in an increasingly competitive market. Discussion: Most creators shared stories of "learn as you go," presenting how the flexibility to adjust the apps' business models rather than the creators' professional background is a critical success factor. Since their apps represent their understanding of sustainability, SCA creators should find practical and emotional ways to engage their users while considering the objectives of their apps. Conclusion: Awareness of the risks and pitfalls when creating an SCA may not be enough for successfully undertaking this enterprise. The creators should be capable of strategically plan for all the activities that creating and managing an SCA convey even before the app is conceptualized. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

INTERNET of things ,BUSINESS communication ,COMPUTING platforms ,EDGE computing ,PATENT applications - Abstract
Revolutionary advances in technology have been seen in many industries, with the IIoT being a prime example. The IIoT creates a network of interconnected devices, allowing smooth communication and interoperability in industrial settings. This not only boosts efficiency, productivity, and safety but also provides transformative solutions for various sectors. This research looks into open-source IIoT and edge platforms that are applicable to a range of applications with the aim of finding and developing high-potential solutions. It highlights the effect of open-source IIoT and edge computing platforms on traditional IIoT applications, showing how these platforms make development and deployment processes easier. Popular open-source IIoT platforms include DeviceHive and Thingsboard, while EdgeX Foundry is a key platform for edge computing, allowing IIoT applications to be deployed closer to data sources, thus reducing latency and conserving bandwidth. This study seeks to identify potential future domains for the implementation of IIoT solutions using these open-source platforms. Additionally, each sector is evaluated based on various criteria, such as development requirement analyses, market demand projections, the examination of leading companies and emerging startups in each domain, and the application of the International Patent Classification (IPC) scheme for in-depth sector analysis. The research problem of this article is the following: what are the possible legal issues regarding the use of Artificial Intelligence in business management, and how can they be solved? The integrated research, the bibliographic research technique, and the Boolean technique are used in this work. The database used was Google Scholar. The search terms were “Artificial Intelligence” + “management” + “review” and “Artificial Intelligence” + “Organizations” + “review”. The justification for limiting the search to the term "review" lies in the extensive and qualified bibliography of integrated reviews. The articles were selected based on the following criteria: a) open-source availability; b) simultaneous combination of search terms; c) thematic articles on business management; and d) chronology (after 2020). As a result, the main areas for the use of AI in business management are innovation; supply chain management; decision-making; human resources; strategic management; and product management. Furthermore, the possible legal issues that can be faced are lack of accountability; biased decisions; discrimination; non-compliance with digital literacy; violation of privacy; and unfair decisions. Finally, the original contributions of this work are 12 Governance recommendations and 8 Compliance recommendations.

The purpose of the written study is to study the relationship between the qualifications of the CFO and the nonlinear system of the firm’s internal control system. We used three indicators of the competence of the CFO: financial education, accounting, seniority, and education. Using the model of Kazakhstan companies registered on the stock exchange in 2023. In the methodology of the internal control system, in which stimuli cause a reverse response, the internal control system should be recognized as a nonlinear approach that can have a high impact if it has little impact. The results of this study show a negative relationship between the financial, accounting experience of a CFO and work experience under a nonlinear system of internal control, which indicates that firms with high-quality CFO are facing a nonlinear internal control system in business. A business management team with a large number of employees is associated with an effective internal control system. In addition, the political preferences of senior management directly and indirectly affect the quality of financial statements through the internal control system. Several reliability tests confirm our main results. The results show that a capable CFO can effectively implement a suitable subsystem. The results of the study of a nonlinear system of internal control in business, in terms of improving individual elements of internal control in companies, can be used by members of audit firms.

Introduction The Islamic Republic, like any other system, has elements and components that distinguish it from other systems. Jihadi management is one of these elements. However, the concept of jihadi management is still vague for internal researchers and there are many controversies regarding this concept, also, one of the most important issues that should be taken into account in the management of society is its management method based on culture and customs and using tools based on the values of that society. In a historical review, it is possible to clearly see the effect of correct management during the growth period of Iranian civilization and the period of decline due to improper management. Many different management styles were used in our country, among which we can mention Jihadi management, which is one of the native management styles inspired by Iranian civilization and Islamic religious sources. Therefore, this research was carried out with the aim of providing a strategic framework of jihadi management using the concepts raised in business management theories. Methodology The current research has used the phenomenological strategy of qualitative method and interpretive paradigm. The reason for this choice is that the phenomenological strategy deals with explicit explanation and identification of phenomena as perceived by individuals in a specific situation. Qualitative method has been used because it involves gathering information and describing jihadi management within the framework of business management theories. Therefore, considering the qualitative nature of the research data, the research has an abstract nature. In terms of implementation outcome, it is also a developmental research as this final framework can be used for developing the concept of jihadi management and explaining its indicators by drawing on similar management theories and completing the literature; which, due to its decision-making dimension, falls into the category of developmental research. From the perspective of the purpose of implementation, it is also a descriptive research as it describes and explains the existing reality in jihadi management, which corresponds to the corresponding business management theories. It addresses what is happening and what is real. Among the types of descriptive research, it also falls into the category of exploratory research, meaning that it studies the attitudes, beliefs, and opinions of experts in the field of business management on the subject under investigation through their responses to the questions asked. In this research, interviews are used to collect data. The data is collected through interviews with professors and practitioners in the field of business management and jihadi management. Then, the themes and meanings of interest are extracted from the data and the phenomenological approach is used. Results and Discussion By examining the interviews and extracting the explanatory codes to merge and unify similar codes and remove duplicate codes, the type of problem solving thinking in 11 concepts and 3 categories, setting goals in 7 concepts and 2 categories, setting people's relationships in 6 concepts and 2 categories, setting processes Cognitive in 10 concepts and 3 categories, improving processes in 8 concepts and 2 categories, improving productivity in 6 concepts and 2 categories and creating sustainable competitive advantages in 3 concepts and 1 category were extracted. Then, with document analysis, the components identified in each strategic process in jihadi management were tracked and the corresponding and related concepts in business management science were extracted. Conclusion In relation to problem-solving thinking and lateral thinking, it can be said that what is considered as problem-solving approaches in Jihadi management is a type of lateral thinking. Therefore, it seems that combining jihadi management with lateral thinking can help in achieving the ideals of jihadi management. Jihadi manager must be creative and have a problem solving perspective. A result-oriented and goal-oriented view, a view that underestimates the problems of the path and works effectively without the effect of obstacles in achieving the goal. In relation to the effective setting of goals in jihadi management and the convergence of values as one of the business management theories, it can be concluded that the setting of goals in jihadi management is better in such a way that both individual values It should include the organizational goals and the main goals should be based on the common goals of the employees. Regarding the cognitive processes in jihadi management and social identity and paying attention to the characteristics of the concept of jihadi management and the results of the interview, it seems that jihadi management and its implementation will not be possible without considering social identity. In relation to the improvement of processes and continuous improvement and the results presented in the interview, it seems that achieving a suitable jihadi management approach is to pay attention to continuous improvement in the subject under jihadi management. That is, a process look at the formulated vision and operationalization of the processes, formulation of standards for these operational processes and dynamics in order to improve the processes. These standards must be developed in all dimensions required by each process.

42. Business Management for Sustainability.

- Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to address a fundamental flaw in prominent approaches to managing businesses for sustainability. Current management strategies fail to recognize the fundamental differences between economic, social, and moral or ethical values. Economic values are instrumental, individual, and impersonal. Social values are reciprocal, communal, and personal. Moral values are altruistic, spiritual, and universal. These are not arbitrary definitions but expressions of basic differences among the three types of value. These differences reveal the fundamental flaws in attempts to assign economic value or objectively quantify the social and ecological costs and benefits of economic enterprises. The transactional, social, and moral economies are defined in ways that avoid compromising the differences in values. In addition, a natural hierarchy exists among nature, society, and economy that requires a corresponding hierarchy of moral, social, and economic values in managing sustainable organizations. The strategies, motives, and metrics that have dominated sustainable business management for the past several decades, and the related research and educational programs that support them, fail to reflect differences among economic, social, and moral values that are critical to sustainability. The author suggests using computer technology and data mining in intelligent engineering management to increase the management capacity of engineering projects and decrease the consumption of construction expenses. The emphasis is mostly on theoretical and analytical approaches to problems of practical concern for data mining, perhaps in combination with other conventional tools, and the associated applications to engineers and managers of various industrial sectors. This has immediate benefits for both academic and applied data mining researchers as well as research students. The author developed a BIM project management system based on Browser/Server architecture and Client/Server architecture in conjunction with BIM technology and the BIM 4D model. To execute complete project management of business management, real-time control, and decision support, the system must establish and use its business logic and data exchange link. Each module in the 4D construction dynamic management subsystem recognizes dynamic management of the construction process, and the working duration of each module is determined by calculating by using the unified engineering decomposition principle, rationalizing the relevant data through time parameters, recording the acquired management data and storing it in the BIM database, and connecting the BIM database bi-directionally through the web server through the system integration. The results showed that when the time is 20 min, the throughput of the system is higher than 2 7 × 1 0 3 kb/s. The system can effectively improve the project management ability, reduce the construction cost and construction period of the project, and the system responds quickly. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The 21st century is an era of rapidly expanding digitization in which cyber security is a key global challenge. Digitization creates cyber security risks. One of the problems of cyber security are issues related to accessibility of an organization's systems. The subject of this article is the management of an enterprise in the digital age. Digital amenities simultaneously generate new development opportunities and dynamic progress for enterprises, which are also susceptible to the threats occurring in cyberspace. The analytical goal was to identify the determinants of enterprise management in the context of their operation in cyberspace, which is characterized by a lack of borders, dynamism, and anonymity, and represents one of the most expanding areas of threats in the modern world. In achieving the goal, the starting point was to present the cyber security of the business entity as an area that has a decisive impact on the management of the company in the digital age. Then, in order to analyse the actual market situation, part of the survey research on cyber security in the business unit was presented. In May 2022, survey research using a questionnaire method by the author of this article with the use of a telephone interview was conducted on behalf of the IPC Research Institute Ltd. based in Wroclaw. The survey was conducted on a sample of 100 enterprises from various industries operating on the territory of the Republic of Poland. The following research methods and techniques were used in the article: survey methods, induction methods as a form of going from the particular to the general, analytical methods, deduction method as a form of generalization and inference, literature analysis. Research has confirmed that the cyber security of the business unit is a key determinant in the digital age. The publication indicates the need to conduct and develop research on the determination, analysis, and presentation of mechanisms for managing the business unit in the area of cyber security as a security protection in the digital age. The value of the article is the analysis of the author's survey conducted on a sample of 100 companies from various industries operating in the Republic of Poland, and the identification of cyber security as one of the main challenges in the digital age. The advance of the fifth generation (5G) network globally has completely changed business models, giving rise to the birth of new companies with their business models and the adaptation of existing companies. This change is greatest in developing countries where 5G network deployment is scarce and key to their economy. This article aims to analyze the strategic design of a business model to provide 5G network equipment installation services in Peru. In addition, the article includes the design of a business structure for the implementation of the business model, as well as the evaluation of economic and financial projections to determine the economic viability of its implementation. The methodological approach covers business management applied to business design, examining several key areas such as business management, human resource management, finance, accounting, marketing, and operations management. The study of the business model is based on business management theory, using accounting and finance concepts to analyze the most significant financial indicators. The information and data used to analyze the aspects of the business model are extracted from the databases of Peruvian institutions. Our results reveal that implementing a business model for providing 5G network equipment installation services in Peru is economically viable since the economic and financial projections show that a Net Present Value of 146,931.02 monetary units is obtained. Also, the results justify the design of the business structure based on the value proposition of experience and specialization focused on 5G networks in Peru. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
The tourism sector has witnessed continuous development over the last few decades, overcoming various challenges and crises. This resilience underscores the remarkable diversity of managerial and entrepreneurial initiatives capable of meeting the ever-growing and unpredictable global demand. Our objective is to explore the perceptions of factors and opportunities that encourage the launch and management of businesses in health and spa tourism utilizing a qualitative methodology. Our conclusions are based on the analysis of 32 hotel managers' and small business owners' interviews in a relevant tourist resort in Romania. This study reveals that all four types of identified opportunities and drivers influencing business creation and management in health and spa tourism (i.e., improving work quality and independence, professional and personal development, responses to opportunities, and upgrading existing services) are substantially influenced by gender, relevant work experience, and education. The novelty of our research lies in highlighting the influence of these drivers according to a specific context given by the size, management type, and ownership structure of tourism ventures, as well as the difference between large hotel managers and small business owners in terms of their perception and goals. We acknowledge that the limited number of interviewees and the spatially bound context of the research may have an effect on the relevance of the results. This study's findings underscore the necessity for compromise and collaboration among diverse stakeholders in the tourism industry, particularly when developing long-term strategies for health and wellness destinations. This collaborative approach plays a critical role in promoting the well-being and prosperity of individuals, businesses, and the entire local community. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Globalisation and changes to the world economy have brought new challenges and opportunities for many industries, including the sawmill industry. This has led to a need to evaluate the competitiveness of South Africa's sawmilling industry by studying the factors affecting competitiveness in other sawmill industries. The review evaluated published research on sawmill industry competitiveness to identify and address the research gaps in the literature. The systematic literature review implemented a PRISMA protocol. Sankey diagrams showed the relationships between the factors driving change and those affecting competitiveness. The results showed that most factors affecting and driving industry competitiveness were similar. The reviewed papers pointed to the availability of wood, formation of clusters, policy implications, level of innovation and employment conditions as the factors affecting industry competitiveness. The research findings corresponded to some of the early ideas presented by Michael Porter on industry competitiveness. The research will guide future research on the South African sawmill industry.
