Steel offers several advantages to the building sector. construction owners like steel buildings for their flexibility and other related benefits, in addition to the fact that they are among the greenest construction materials. Steel trusses support a lot of roof loads and offer stability in a horizontal direction. The two main advantages of steel trusses over traditional wood trusses are their strength and simplicity. The steel truss roof systems are very strong and easy to install. Tekla software is being utilized for this project. Its highly interactive user interface allows users to design the frame, input data, and enter dimensions. For every structural need, Tekla Structures is a powerful and adaptable application. The construction is then inspected, and the structural steel components are made in accordance with the established specifications. In our most recent project, we had to build a steel structure employing trusses and do an appropriate analysis. The present study's objectives include figuring out the most effective way to provide specifications and support conditions, various load types and combinations, geometry, and cross sections for columns and beams. We first examined and created a steel truss architecture to accommodate all potential load scenarios, including live, dead, and seismic loads. This analytical method involves a lot of codes. The seismic load is 1893, the wind load is 875 (Part-3), the dead load is 875 (Part-1), and the living load is 875 (Part-2). This study evaluates the effectiveness of two retrofitting techniques, X-type steel braces, and shear walls, in enhancing the resilience of existing structures using the computer-based software ETABS. Through computational modeling and analysis, the structural behavior of retrofitted buildings under seismic forces is assessed. The comparative analysis includes a simple building without retrofitting measures, a building retrofitted with shear walls, and a building retrofitted with X-type steel braces. Key parameters such as inter-story drift, stress distribution, and displacement are analyzed within ETABS to determine the superior retrofitting approach. The findings provide valuable insights for engineers and architects, aiding in the development of robust retrofitting strategies using ETABS that improve structural integrity and resilience.
