Introduction: The gender gap in technology entrepreneurship represents a significant and persistent disparity, with women significantly underrepresented in creating and leading technology start-ups. To address this multifaceted problem, it is critical to research and implement educational models that can foster intrinsic motivation in aspiring female entrepreneurs. Self-Determination Theory (SDT) provides a valuable framework for such an educational approach, emphasizing the importance of satisfying essential psychological needs--autonomy, competence and relatedness--to enhance motivation and commitment. Integrating SDT principles into entrepreneurship education can create supportive environments that empower women, encourage diverse perspectives, and ultimately bridge the gender gap in tech entrepreneurship. Particularly in the case of female students, it is important to understand how to empower their behavior choices to make possible different professional paths, with tech entrepreneurship being one of them. This gender gap has not yet been addressed through an education model proposal. Much has been said to characterize and identify it, but there is no proposal to change the higher education system in the STEM area, which is the research goal achieved in this paper: we need to analyze the gender gap in HEI and its relation to becoming entrepreneurial and understand how HEI may support the tech entrepreneurial behavior. To answer these questions we are going, in pursuit of the intrinsic motivations to support more entrepreneurial behavior in STEM female students. Methods: A quantitative approach was designed to collect data to identify the gender gap in five European higher education institutions (HEI) in five different countries. In April, surveys were launched to female students, allowing a descriptive, exploratory factor analysis and structural equation modeling to test the SDT intrinsic motivation constructs. Results: The results confirmed that there is a gender gap to overcome and that the teaching-learning process may help to potentiate the female student's capacities of self-knowledge and self-value for female students. The autonomy need was identified as the most influential construct on students becoming entrepreneurs, not dishing the effect the competences and relatedness have. Understanding this reality allows for further development of the education model proposed and discussed. Conclusion: Higher education lectures, particularly in STEM programs, can improve their teaching processes to become more inclusive and promote an effective entrepreneurial mindset. Understanding what will change helps engage in a different paradigm of education in technology, demystifying the concepts of entrepreneurship and allowing inclusion and gender equality in the higher education system. The quality of Japanese forensic experts has been widely recognized around the world, which cannot be separated from the “ripple effect” caused by the rapid rise of the modern forensic education in Japan. By continuously adopting foreign forensic education resources and teaching experience, it has finally formed a forensic professional talent training model with a clear hierarchy of basic education and professional training, as well as classroom teaching and case studies complementing each other; and it continuously improves the comprehensive quality of practitioners through domestic training and international exchange and cooperation, providing talented professionals for the development of the Japanese forensic industry. In this context, this article takes the development history of Japanese forensic medicine as the starting point to study how it gradually formed the embryonic form of forensic education in modern times. Based on this, it analyzes the characteristics of Japan’s modern forensic medicine talent training model, summarizes excellent experiences for localized transformation, such as emphasizing the role of practical teaching, exerting the effectiveness of vocational skills training, and promoting international exchange and cooperation, to provide reference and inspiration for the training of relevant professional talents in China.

Research Article ,Articles ,Education model ,Management Approach ,Competency ,Diabetes Nurse Educator ,King's Conceptual ,Goal Attainment - Abstract
Background Education for diabetes patients is not managed well by diabetes nurse educators because the competency of diabetes nurse educators is low, and the number of diabetes nurse educators in hospitals is not commensurate with the number of diabetes patients, which is much larger. Methods This qualitative phenomenological research uses an exploratory design. Twenty nurse managers and forty staff nurses who participated in the focus group discussion (FGD) were selected using purposive sampling. Nine staff nurses who participated in in-depth interviews were selected using the snowball method. The results of the FGD exploration and in-depth interviews produced components for developing an educational model with a management approach. The development of this educational model uses an input, process, output, and outcome approach. The input uses King’s conceptual framework approach, the method uses the theory of goal attainment and management functions, the output is the competency of nurses to educate diabetes patients, and the outcome is the health literacy of diabetes patients. This educational model was reviewed by three experts: a nursing management expert, a diabetes mellitus expert, and a health literacy expert. Results The educational model for Diabetes nurse educators with a management approach consists of five stages: 1) Educational planning includes identifying educational targets, strategy formulation, and situation analysis. 2) Organizing nursing resources includes strengthening the role of nurses as diabetes educators. 3) Nursing staff includes intraprofessional collaboration and collaboration between nurses and patient families. 4) Direction includes nurses’ motivation for diabetes patients and respecting the culture and values of diabetes patients. 5) Control includes evaluating nurse education for diabetes patients. Conclusion This education model has five competencies, which are structured and systematic so that diabetes nurse educators have the competence to manage diabetes patient education: the personal system, interpersonal system, and social system influence nurse competency.

Medication misconceptions become a factor for nonadherence. Education for Posbindu cadres is required as a community empowerment to reduce predispositions to chronic kidney disease caused by medication nonadherence. This quasi-experimental research involved one group pretest-posttest design aiming to compare four education models for Posbindu cadres in PHCs in Yogyakarta with changes in misconceptions about antihypertensives and antidiabetics in long-term use-induced renal impairment. All models employed the cadre smart module with models 3 and 4 involving health-worker collaboration. The added educational media were posters (model 1), leaflets (model 2), and posters-leaflets (model 4). Misconception changes were assessed using a validated questionnaire. Eighty-six female cadres aged 43.7±8.6 years were involved with the majority being at least high-school graduates without hypertension and diabetes mellitus risk factors. Model 3 significantly affected all knowledge domains with discussion and clarification of understanding becoming the strength of the techniques used therein. The results proved the importance of health-worker collaboration in health promotion to increase public knowledge of health and drug use, but varied education media could give no guarantee of improvements in such misconceptions. Interactive techniques through knowledge construction assisted by health-workers, especially for unfamiliar domains among society, are recommended to improve the effectiveness of similar education.

In the 21st century, the Internet is developing at an alarming rate, affecting all aspects of people, a large part of which is education. At China’s 12th National People’s Congress in 2015, Premier Li Keqiang proposed an “Internet Plus” action plan in a government report. “Internet + education” is one of the important categories, a new education model that combines Internet technology and education. The construction of Internet + education pilot colleges and universities can effectively solve the problems of insufficient educational resources and unbalanced allocation in underdeveloped areas and realise the “overtaking” of education. After the outbreak of the epidemic 20 years ago, Internet education has become the main medium and means of education in China. This article is intended to take the development of online classrooms in a pilot higher vocational college in Ningxia under the background of the new crown epidemic as an example, using the reviews software, through the changes in the grades of 1798 students; it is deeply proved that “Internet + education” has a positive impact on students’ grades. Using factor analysis to comprehensively evaluate the performance of 347 students who have received Internet education, we put forward relevant suggestions for promoting and regulating the sustainable development of Internet education. - Abstract
This research explores the effect of the sports education model implemented in physical education on college students’ learning motivation and outcomes. The sports education model was compared with traditional physical education teaching as a control group. Participants were 60 college students in two classes. The ARCS (Attention, Relevance, Confidence, Satisfaction) Learning Motivation Scale, the Physical Education Affection Scale and a learning sheet were used for pre- and post-test comparison. Quantitative analysis was carried out on the post-test data using a dependent sample t-test and an independent sample t-test. The study found that: (1) the students in the sports education model group showed clear progress in learning motivation, affection, cognition and behavior, whereas the students in the traditional physical education group showed clear progress in cognition but no significant improvement in learning motivation, affection or behavior; (2) the sports education model group is clearly superior to the traditional physical education group in terms of learning motivation, affection, cognition, and behavior. This research shows that students are highly receptive to the sports education model, with a positive attitude and a high degree of motivation to learn to actively change their sports behavior. The sports education model brings several benefits: (1) it is an effective teaching method; (2) students’ sense of responsibility, leadership and participation can be improved; (3) the preliminary homework and course structure descriptions take more time to compose, but can better guide students’ motivation for learning physical education and can enhance teachers’ professional growth. This article presents a study about some perceptions of university students' perceptions in Barranquilla, Colombia about flipped classrooms during Covid-19 pandemic. The group of participants were 302 students who are studying in different universities of the city and took their virtual or remote classes with a flipped classroom strategy. Students identified their learning styles, experiences and characteristics of the virtual or remote classes and their class preferences. In addition, they mentioned resources and learning spaces used by the teachers that promote collaboration and knowledge development and technology used by the university to develop classes. Given the results of the survey, it was determined that flipped classroom strategy is a useful method for the students because it allowed them to be more self-taught (independent learning) during pandemic. It was possible to identify their learning styles and to create spaces of greater participation with the teachers as guides. Flipped classrooms allow learning by doing, developing and participating and no memorizing (traditional method) supported by emerging technologies applied in university teaching. These technologies must be combined with different strategies that allow the development of skills, teamwork and comprehension of the topics [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The purpose of this study is to provide instructive theoretical models for art (music) education institutions especially when unpredictable risks, such as pandemics, occur again. Based on the customer behavior theory of the business-to-business-to-customer (B2B2C) platform, and in combination with the technology acceptance model (TAM) and expectation confirmation model (ECM), this study proposes an online education model from the perspective of art education. The framework is based on the three decision-making processes of the customer, and includes the product owner, content owner, and customer area. This paper highlights the factors that influence customers in making decisions when art education institutions are product owners. Regression analysis was introduced to study the factors influencing the expectation confirmation, and the overall fitting testing and six hypotheses testing of 385 effective samples were performed using the structural equation modeling (SEM). The results show that the course-design and after-service positively influenced the expectation confirmation, and the domain image positively influenced the continuance behavior. Negative emotions skipped the mediator (expectation confirmation) and directly exerted a significant negative impact on customers' willingness to continue system usage (continuance behavior). In addition, expectation confirmation positively influenced continuance behavior. The paths of detailed items comprising course-design, after-service, and negative emotion were also analyzed and discussed. In this path analysis, ordinary art learners did not believe that AI partners can play a very good auxiliary role. The findings contribute to the scope of information systems acting as an art education platform academically, and provide effective and theoretical support for the actual operation of art education institutions. - Abstract
Background: The exercise of limb function is the most economical and safe method to promote the maturation of arteriovenous fistula (AVF). However, due to the lack of a unified exercise standard in China, many patients have insufficient awareness of the importance of AVF, leading to poor effectiveness of limb function exercise. The self-management education model can effectively promote patients to take proactive health-related actions. This study focuses on the characteristics of patients during the peri-AVF period and conducts a phased limb function exercise under the guidance of the self-management education model to observe changes in factors such as the maturity of AVF., Aim: To assess the impact of stage-specific limb function exercises, directed by a self-management education model, on the maturation status of AVFs., Methods: This study is a randomized controlled trial involving 74 patients with forearm AVFs from the Nephrology Department of a tertiary hospital in Sichuan Province, China. Patients were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group using a random number table method. The observation group underwent tailored stage-specific limb function exercises, informed by a self-management education model which took into account the unique features of AVF at various stages, in conjunction with routine care. Conversely, the control group was given standard limb function exercises along with routine care. The assessment involves the maturity of AVFs post-intervention, postoperative complications, and the self-management level of the fistula in both groups patients. Analyses were conducted using SPSS version 23.0. Count data were represented by frequency and percentage and subjected to chi-square test comparisons. Measurement data adhering to a normal distribution were presented as mean ± SD. The independent samples t -test was utilized for inter-group comparisons, while the paired t-test was used for intra-group comparisons. For measurement data not fitting a normal distribution, the median and interquartile range were presented and analyzed using the Wilcoxon rank sum test., Results: At the 8-wk postoperative mark, the observation group demonstrated significantly higher scores in AVF symptom recognition, symptom prevention, and self-management compared to the control group ( P < 0.05). However, the variance in symptom management scores between the observation and control groups lacked statistical significance ( P > 0.05). At 4 wk after the operation, the observation group displayed a superior vessel diameter and depth from the skin of the drainage vessels in comparison to the control group ( P < 0.05). While the observation group did manifest elevated blood flow rates in the drainage vessels relative to the control group, this distinction was not statistically significant ( P > 0.05). By the 8-wk postoperative interval, the observation group outperformed the control group with notable enhancements in blood flow rates, vessel diameter, and depth from the skin of drainage vessels ( P < 0.01). Seven days following the procedure, the observation group manifested significantly diminished limb swelling and an overall reduced complication rate in contrast to the control group ( P < 0.05). The evaluation of infection, thrombosis, embolism, arterial aneurysm stenosis, and incision bleeding showed no notable differences between the two groups ( P > 0.05). By the 4-wk postoperative juncture, complications between the observation and control groups were statistically indistinguishable ( P > 0.05)., Conclusion: Stage-specific limb function exercises, under the guidance of a self-management education model, amplify the capacity of AVF patients to discern and prevent symptoms. Additionally, they expedite AVF maturation and mitigate postoperative limb edema, underscoring their efficacy as a valuable method for the care and upkeep of AVF in hemodialysis patients., Competing Interests: Conflict-of-interest statement: All the authors report no relevant conflicts of interest for this article., (©The Author(s) 2024. Paradigma değişimi ,eğitim modeli. Paradigm shift ,education model ,yetenek yönetimi ,talent management - Abstract
Talent management is a strategic activity aligned with the organization's business strategy that aims to attract, develop and retain talented employees at all levels of the organization. The concept of talent management, which is generally used in the field of business, has recently become widespread in educational sciences. When the recent studies are examined, it is seen that the subjects such as intelligence, intelligence types, intelligence theories, which were frequently studied in the 20th century, were replaced by issues such as talent, talented students and talent types. It is possible to observe the paradigm shift change in the State Development Plans, Presidency Programs, Strategic Plan of the Ministry of National Education, National Education Councils and strategy documents of various ministries, which are among the top policy documents. However, concrete steps and practices for the field to discover talented students, develop education programs and curricula, and follow talented students are not certain. In this context, the aim of this research is to evaluate the talent management paradigm, examine the talent management practices and develop a talent management model for the Turkish Education System. In the first stage of the research, which was conducted with an exploratory sequential design, a case study was conducted with a study group consisting of 26 teachers, school administrators and parents. With the case study, evaluations were made about the MEB's perspective on talent, the identification of talented students, the education and support programs implemented for these students, and the problems encountered in the process. Phenomenology study, which is the second phase, was carried out with a study group of 17 people consisting of academicians and managers of the central organization of the Ministry of National Education. Qualitative interviews were conducted on subjects such as management and organization processes, legislation, human resources, education programs and implementation processes in order to reveal and develop the talents of secondary school students. The analysis of qualitative data was made with NVIVO 12 program. The third and final stage, the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), determined the criteria and weight grades to be taken as a basis while selecting students for talent management programs. At this stage, different data collection processes were carried out with study groups consisting of 16 academicians and teachers for academic talent, 19 for artistic talent and 15 for sportive talent. The original model obtained as a result of the research was named “Marmara Talent Management Model”. Marmara Talent Management Model is a multidimensional model with different stages such as establishing relevant units in the central organization, preparing legal legislation, preparing and implementing education programs, and training qualified human resources in order to develop the abilities and skills of secondary school students in academic, artistic and sports fields. The most important difference of the model from the special education studies carried out by the Ministry of National Education is that it targets a much wider audience and can be applied in every school. In this context, it is assumed that the research will respond to an important need in the field.

Τα αποτελέσματα της έρευνας μπορούν να αξιοποιηθούν με στόχο την πραγματοποίηση αλλαγών σε κοινωνικό επίπεδο, αφού αναδεικνύεται η ιδιαίτερη σημασία της κοινωνικής υποστήριξης για τα άτομα με Κώφωση / βαρηκοΐα This study examined the extent to which the social loneliness and quality of life of people with hearing impairment is affected by the way they communicate, their educational experiences and the social support they receive. The study sample consisted of 103 adults with Deafness/Hard of Hearing, of which 60 were female and 43 were male. Specifically, a quantitative study was conducted, with a research tool of an individual-completion questionnaire, consisting of the World Health Organization Quality of Life Questionnaire (WHOQOL-BREF), the Revised UCLA Loneliness Scale (The Revised UCLA Loneliness Scale) and the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS). From the statistical analysis of the results, it can be seen that gender influences the quality of life of people with hearing impairment, as it can be seen from the survey sample that women have better quality of life scores compared to men. Regarding the levels of social loneliness, the results of the study indicated that there is a statistically significant correlation between whether the emphasis was placed on speaking or writing for people with hearing impairment and their degree of loneliness, since in the former case they show a lower degree of loneliness. Furthermore, it was found that loneliness has a statistically significant and negative correlation with the social support received, i.e. the greater the social support received, the lower the degree of social loneliness felt by people with hearing impairment seems to be. The results of the research can be used to make changes at the social level, as it highlights the particular importance of social support for people with Deafness/Hard of Hearing. 143 σ.

During the COVID-19 epidemic, many countries faced a critical situation in terms of the global economy and human social activities, including education. In China, the coronavirus is better controlled. Chinese university students have returned to school to study. Despite previous research on online education and learning, the readiness of students for the online and offline learning models implemented at this particular time is not well understood. This paper discusses a hybrid education model for undergraduate students in the safety engineering major. Questionnaires are administered to faculty and students from different colleges and universities in the same major to statistically summarize the influencing factors of mixed or hybrid education. The system dynamics (SD) model is constructed and simulated to determine that using online in the tenth to fifteenth, twenty-fifth to thirtieth, and fortieth to forty-fifth min of classroom teaching (50 min in total) can effectively increase students’ interest and engagement in learning. More hands-on activities should also be considered to enhance students’ motivation to acquire knowledge, and consideration could be given to encourage interaction among students. This study will be continuously improved by a follow-up study of undergraduate student performance. This study has important implications for educators implementing online and offline blended instruction.

Background: Neurosurgery inequity between High-Income Countries and Low- and Middle-Income Countries is striking. Currently, several models of education and training are available each has advantages and limitations. Our goal is to suggest an integrative model of Education and Training with international collaboration which will assure the most cost-effective Training Model., Materials and Methods: The authors reviewed the literature narratively and examined in broad stroke the different existing models of international education and training programs to analyze their strengths, limitations, and cost-effectiveness in addressing the needs of Neurosurgery in Low and middle-Income Countries., Results: Several international institutions have been involved in Education and Training in Global Neurosurgery. The most common models for international education include short-term surgical mission and boot camps, a full residency training program in HICs, and a full residency training Program in Local or regional World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS) reference centers in Low and Middle-Income Countries, and online education. In Africa, both Local residency training centers and WFNS reference centers are available and provide full training programs in Neurosurgery. Among them, WFNS Rabat Training Center is the first established center in Africa in 2002. This program is supported by the WFNS Foundation and by the Africa 100 Project. Some of these education models face currently challenges such as sustainability, financial support, and ethical issues., Conclusion: Training neurosurgeons from Low and Middle-Income countries in local and regional WFNS Training centers might be the most cost-effective model of training that helps close the gap in neurosurgery. This training Model is duplicable and may be integrated into a global cohesive and collaborative model of education with international institutions., (Copyright © 2022 Elsevier B.V.
