Abstract

This paper deals with the design of a Novel Modified Super-Twisting sliding mode control (NMST-SMC) with an integral terminal sliding surface. The NMST-SMC algorithm was applied for a wind energy conversion system based on an induction generator. Firstly, integral terminal sliding surfaces are designed for rotor flux, voltage and current subsystems. Secondly, reaching control laws are added in the equivalent control law to enhance the tracking performance of the rotor flux, stator current, DC bus voltage and gridside current loops. To increase the system performance, a modified super-twisting controller is added. This suggested control scheme is aimed to reduce the total harmonic distortion (THD), strong robustness and stability to voltage faults, and fast dynamic response to power step change. The stability of the proposed controller is proved using the Lyapunov theory. The numerical simulation results of the proposed control strategy are compared to others to prove its effectiveness. Abstract

The present paper investigates a fixed-time tracking control with fractional-order dynamics for a quadrotor subjected to external disturbances. After giving the formulation problem of a quadrotor system with six subsystems like a second-order system, a fractional-order sliding manifold is then designed to achieve a fixed-time convergence of the state variables. In order to cope with the upper bound of the disturbances, a switching fixed-time controller is added to the equivalent control law. Based on the switching law, fixed-time stability is ensured. All analysis and stability are proved using the Lyapunov approach. Finally, the higher performance of the proposed controller fixed-time fractional-order sliding mode control (FTFOSMC) is successfully compared to the two existing techniques through numerical simulations. Abstract

This paper investigates the terminal sliding-mode control (TSMC) with predefined-time stability (PTS) for a disturbed quadrotor system (DQS). First, for both the rotational and translational subsystems of the DQS, a novel notion of predefined-time terminal sliding-mode manifold (PTTSMM) is created. Using the proposed PTTSMM method, the DQS state variables reach their origin in a predefined-time. The influence of disturbances is taken into consideration in the design of the suggested control to show its performance. A formal analysis technique is also provided, as well as the stability of the closed-loop DQS. The performance and effectiveness of the predefined-time method proposed in this work are illustrated by numerical simulations and also comparison study with other control techniques is presented.
