The effect of La treatment on the transformation of inclusions in H13 steel was investigated by subjecting H13 die steel to vacuum induction melting and subsequently treating the molten steel with La under an argon atmosphere protection.The results demonstrate that La has a beneficial effect on inclusions in H13 steel， the number of inclusions increases with the increase of La content， while the average size of inclusions initially decreases and then increases. The inclusions in H13 steel without the rare earth La additions are primarily Al₂O₃ and MnS. However， with a La content of 0.016% in H13 steel， the dominant inclusions shift to La2O2S. When the La content in H13 steel is 0.016%， the inclusions in the steel are mainly La2O2S；Furthermore， when the La content reaches 0.045% and 0.073%， the predominant inclusions in steel become LaP and La2O2S. Thermodynamic calculations show that the transformation process of La-treated inclusions is Al2O3→LaAlO3→La2O2S in molten steel at 1 600 ℃. During the solidification process， La2S3 is initially precipitated in the molten steel. As the temperature continues to decline， LaP begins to precipitate on the surface of La2S3 and La2O2S， ultimately forming the composite inclusions La2O2S-LaP and La2S3-LaP.

Objective To explore the effect of group cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) on the clinical outcome of patients with persistent high-risk human papillomavirus (HR-HPV) infection, and to construct a systematic psychological intervention treatment program for persistent HR-HPV infection patients with emotional disorders. Methods A total of 96 patients with persistent HR-HPV infection complicated with emotional disorder admitted in our hospital from September 2021 to March 2022 were recruited, and then randomly divided into an intervention group (n=44) and a control group (n=45) after 5 of them were excluded due to personal reason. The control group received health education and follow-up monitoring, and the intervention group received group CBT intervention additionally. Their clinical outcomes and psychological scale scores were compared between the 2 groups. Results In a follow-up for 6 and 12 months, the regression rate of HR-HPV infection was higher, and the sustained infection rate and progression rate of HR-HPV in the intervention group than the control group (P < 0.05). The intervention group also obtained lower scores of Nine-Item Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) and generalized anxiety scale (GAD-7) immediately after the intervention, and 6 and 12 months in follow-up for when compared with the control group (P < 0.05). And the scores at above time points were statistically lower than those before intervention in the intervention group (P < 0.05), but no such differences were observed in the control group (P>0.05). Conclusion Systematic psychological intervention treatment is beneficial to HR-HPV infection subside for patients with persistent HR-HPV infection. A new class of oxygen-sensing dual-emitting cyclometalated Ir(III) complexes is described. They function as ratiometric sensors that combine the blue fluorescence from coumarin as a self-referenced internal standard with yellow to red phosphorescence from bis-cyclometalated iridium complexes. Herein, laboratory experiments and thermodynamic calculations are conducted to study the influence of Mg treatment on the inclusion behavior of M50 aerospace bearing steels under different S/O mass ratios (mass ratios of S content to O content). The type, morphology, and distribution of inclusions in ingots with and without Mg treatment are characterized by the scanning electron microscope, energy‐dispersive X‐Ray spectroscopy, and ASPEX automated inclusions analysis system. In addition, the phase distributions of inclusions in M50 steels are simulated using FactSage software to clarify the mechanism of inclusion evolution during the smelting and solidification processes. For both high and low S/O mass ratio steels, the primary spinel and Al2O3 inclusions can be completely modified into MgO inclusions and MnS can be partially transformed into MgS inclusions by Mg treatment. After Mg treatment, the size and number density of inclusions show a noticeable increase in high S/O mass ratio steel resulted from a mass of MgS formation but a slight decrease in low S/O mass ratio steel due to the MgO removal by floatation. Based on the present study, an optimal S/O mass ratio for tight control of detrimental inclusions in Mg‐treated M50 steels is obtained. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics and influencing factors of insomnia in perimenopausal women based on polysomnography (PSG). Methods A total of 52 perimenopausal women admitted to our psychological clinic due to insomnia were included in this study. According to the results of Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI), they were divided into study group (PSQI≥7) and control group (PSQI < 7). Sleep status was recorded by polysomnography (PSG), and symptoms related to perimenopausal period were measured by menopause rating scale (MRS).The differences of PSG monitoring sleep-related indicators and MRS results were compared between the 2 groups, and the correlations of each sleep indicator with perimenopausal symptoms were analyzed. Results ① The total sleep time and sleep efficiency were significantly decreased in the perimenopausal women from the study group than those from the control group (P < 0.05). The former group had obviously longer sleep latency and wakefulness time when compared with the latter group (P < 0.05). ② These perimenopausal women had the clinical feature of rapid eye movement (REM) sleep behavior, which were characterized by decreased total time of REM sleep, decreased proportion of REM sleep, prolonged latency of REM sleep, and increased frequency of REM to wakefulness in the study group when compared with the control group (P < 0.05). ③The total MRS score, somatic symptom score, psychological symptom score and genitourinary system score were 26.69±5.13, 9.49±2.92, 10.34±2.95 and 6.86±2.89, respectively, in the study group, which were all higher than those of the control group (P < 0.05). ④The proportion of REM sleep and the total time of REM sleep were negatively correlated with depression (P < 0.05), while the latency of REM sleep was positively correlated with anxiety and sexual life quality (P < 0.05). Conclusion Insomnia in perimenopausal women is characterized by REM sleep disorder, and REM sleep is closely related to anxiety, depression and sexual life quality.

Willows are suitable candidates for phytoremediation projects. A pot experiment was conducted to evaluate the potential of using Salix unrooted cuttings for the phytoremediation of lead/zinc (Pb/Zn) and copper (Cu) mine tailings. Cuttings of 14 Salix clones were directly rooted into pots containing mine tailings. The 14 clones showed different levels of tolerance to tailing treatments. A total of 71.40% and 85.70% of the S. jiangsuensis '172' cuttings either grown in Pb/Zn or Cu tailings survived, respectively. However, the other clones had lower survival rates, and the values were no more than 40%. Usually, all clones produce less biomass in an extremely contaminated environment. Clonal variation in biomass yield was observed in this research. The surviving clones, such as S. integra 'WSH', S. matsudana '14', S. chaenomeloides '3', S. chaenomeloides '4', and S. chaenomeloides '5' (Pb/Zn tailing), S. integra 'HY', S. integra 'WSH', S. matsudana '14', S. matsudana '19', and S. matsudana '34' (Cu tailing) produced relatively more biomass in this study. In general, all the clones presented lower bioconcentration factor values for the tailings of heavy metals. In principle, all clones could easily take up and translocate Zn and Cd from the tailings to aboveground parts, especially S. integra. All clones exhibited a huge variation in their heavy metal accumulation capacity. As stated above, the direct utilization of cuttings for phytoremediation is a viable option. S. jiangsuensis '172' had a high tolerance capacity and would be a recommended candidate for future phytoremediation projects in soils containing tailings with an extremely high concentration of heavy metals. High-frequency oscillatory activity in cognition-related neural circuits during wakefulness consistently induces the growth of dendritic spines and axonal terminals. Although these structural changes are essential for cognitive functions, it is hypothesized that if these newly expanded structures fail to establish functional connections, they may become superfluous. Sleep is believed to facilitate the reduction of such redundant structures to maintain neural homeostasis. However, the mechanisms underlying this pruning process during sleep remain poorly understood. In this study, that melatonin type 3 receptors (MT 3 Rs) are selectively expressed in the stellate neurons of the medial entorhinal cortex (MEC) is demonstrated, an area where high melatonin levels are detected during sleep. Activation of MT 3 Rs during sleep initiates the shrinkage of dendritic spines in stellate neurons by downregulating neural network activity and dephosphorylating synaptic proteins in the MEC. This process is disrupted when MT 3 R expression is knocked down or when MT 3 Rs are blocked during sleep. Notably, interference with MT 3 Rs in the MEC during sleep impairs the acquisition of spatial memory but does not affect object memory acquisition following sleep. These findings reveal novel molecular mechanisms involving melatonin and MT 3 Rs in the regulation of dendritic spine shrinkage during sleep, which is crucial for the acquisition and consolidation of spatial memory., (© 2024 The Author(s). Rationale and Objectives: This study aims to assess the prognostic value of Cyclin-dependent kinases 6 (CDK6) expression levels and establish a machine learning-based radiomics model for predicting the expression levels of CDK6 in high-grade gliomas (HGG)., Materials and Methods: Clinical parameters and genomic data were extracted from 310 HGG patients in the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database and 27 patients in the Repository of Molecular Brain Neoplasia Data (REMBRANDT) database. Univariate and multivariate Cox regression, as well as Kaplan-Meier analysis, were performed for prognosis analysis. The correlation between immune cell Infiltration with CDK6 was assessed using spearman correlation analysis. Radiomic features were extracted from contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (CE-MRI) in the Cancer Imaging Archive (TCIA) database (n = 82) and REMBRANDT database (n = 27). Logistic regression (LR) and support vector machine (SVM) were employed to establish the radiomics model for predicting CDK6 expression. Receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC), calibration curve, and decision curve analysis (DCA) were utilized to assess the predictive performance of the radiomics model. Generate radiomic scores (RS) based on the LR model. An RS-based nomogram was constructed to predict the prognosis of HGG., Results: CDK6 was significantly overexpressed in HGG tissues and was related to lower overall survival. A significant elevation in infiltrating M0 macrophages was observed in the CDK6 high group (P < 0.001). The LR radiomics model for the prediction of CDK6 expression levels (AUC=0.810 in the training cohort, AUC = 0.784 after cross-validation, AUC=0.750 in the testing cohort) was established utilizing three radiomic features. The predictive efficiencies of the RS-based nomogram, as measured by AUC, were 0.769 for 1-year, 0.815 for 3-year, and 0.780 for 5-year, respectively., Conclusion: The expression level of CDK6 can impact the prognosis of patients with HGG. Introduction: Glioblastoma (GBM) presents significant challenges due to its malignancy and limited treatment options. Precision treatment requires subtyping patients based on prognosis. Disulfidptosis, a novel cell death mechanism, is linked to aberrant glucose metabolism and disulfide stress, particularly in tumors expressing high levels of SLC7A11. The exploration of disulfidptosis may provide a new perspective for precise diagnosis and treatment of glioblastoma., Methods: Transcriptome sequencing was conducted on samples from GBM patients treated at Tiantan Hospital (January 2022 - December 2023). Data from CGGA and TCGA databases were collected. Consensus clustering based on disulfidptosis features categorized GBM patients into two subtypes (DRGclusters). Tumor immune microenvironment, response to immunotherapy, and drug sensitivity were analyzed. An 8-gene disulfidptosis-based subtype predictor was developed using LASSO machine learning algorithm and validated on CGGA dataset., Results: Patients in DRGcluster A exhibited improved overall survival (OS) compared to DRGcluster B. DRGcluster subtypes showed differences in tumor immune microenvironment and response to immunotherapy. The predictor effectively stratified patients into high and low-risk groups. Significant differences in IC50 values for chemotherapy and targeted therapy were observed between risk groups., Discussion: Disulfidptosis-based classification offers promise as a prognostic predictor for GBM. It provides insights into tumor immune microenvironment and response to therapy. Background: To systematically evaluate the efficacy of thoracoscopic surgery compared to traditional thoracotomy for thymic tumors., Methods: We performed a literature search on computer of the PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, China Biology Medicine (CBM), WanFang, and China national knowledge infrastructure (CNKI) databases from the date of establishment of the database to April 2021, and retrieved randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and cohort studies on thoracoscopic surgery and thoracotomy with conventional open thoracic surgery. After independent screening of the literature by two assessors, the relevant data was extracted and the risk of bias in the included studies was evaluated. RevMan 5.3 software was used to perform the analysis., Results: Five RCTs and eight cohort studies were ultimately included, with a total of 1,093 patients. The results of meta-analysis showed that compared with traditional thoracoscopic surgery, thoracoscopy had shorter surgery duration (OR =22.2, 95% CI: -31.92, -12.52, P<0.00001), ICU stay (OR =0.29, 95% CI: 0.20, 0.42, P<0.00001), and hospitalization time (OR =0.531, 95% CI: 0.41, 0.69, P<0.00001) times, as well as reduced chest tube drainage time (OR =0.49, 95% CI: 0.33, 0.73, P=0.0004), less intraoperative bleeding (OR =43.27, 95% CI: -50.94, -35.60, P<0.00001), and a lower incidence of postoperative complications (OR =0.19, 95% CI: 0.11, 0.34, P<0.00001). However, the tumor recurrence rate was not significantly different between the two procedures (OR =0.69, 95% CI: 0.32, 1.48, P=0.34)., Discussion: The existing evidence suggests that thoracoscopic surgery has shorter surgery duration, ICU stay time, hospitalization time, reduced thoracic tube drainage, less intraoperative bleeding, and a lower incidence of postoperative complications compared with traditional thoracotomy surgery.
