The current study has portrayed the synthetic mixtures of Themeda quadrivalvis using gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GCMS), the combination of green silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) formed with macrolide antimicrobials. The counter microbial effects were investigated with various concentrates of plant compounds, AgNPs, and macrolide-formed AgNPs against respiratory microorganisms. GCMS examination has shown the presence of various substances that intensifies the chloroform concentrate of T. quadrivalvis. A total of 51 mixtures were distinguished, and furthermore, the most severe zone of restraint was found in chloroform removal and against Klebsiella sp. (18 ± 4.7 mm). It has been demonstrated that the green mixture of AgNPs containing macrolide anti-toxins, such as azithromycin, erythromycin, and clarithromycin, demonstrates extensive antibacterial activities against a wide range of microorganisms. In contrast, the green union of AgNPs also demonstrates their efficacy against a wide range of respiratory microbes. The particles containing numerous relatively small fragments that were observed in the scanning electron microscopy analysis were found to be 20 nm in size. Previous studies have focused on phytochemicals and green amalgamations of AgNPs, but not much detail has been provided on T. quadrivalvis. It has been reported that the two concentrates (a plant concentrate in combination with consolidated green nanoparticle macrolide anti-toxins). The present study aims to treat respiratory microorganisms with a green methodology approach using nanotechnology; this analysis primarily focuses on offering creative approaches to make drugs against respiratory microbes.

The growing urban population, increasing income per capita, and significant rise in the number of people living in cities are all placing a strain on the nation's water supply and calling for innovative methods of urban water management. Water stress, excessive resource consumption, nutrient discharge into aquatic ecosystems, and financially unstable utilities are all consequences of the traditional linear "take, make, waste" approach to water management. Many strategies are required to achieve economic, environmental, and social sustainability. More closed‐loop urban wastewater and resource management systems can be developed and implemented with the help of a toolkit that includes stormwater management/rainwater harvesting, water conservation, water reclamation and reuse, energy management, nutrient recovery, and source separation. Water conservation, water reclamation, and wastewater reuse are becoming the norm in many water‐poor regions. This shift is hastened by decentralization, made possible by dispersed stormwater management/rainwater collection and innovative high‐performance treatment technologies. Similar changes are occurring in conventional methods of residual management due to the need for more energy recovery and nutrient recovery and reuse. Finding the most outstanding long‐term solutions requires an economic study done well. The practice of stove‐piping must be eradicated from urban wastewater and resource management. These novel techniques for managing urban wastewater and resources can produce more long‐term, financially stable, resource‐efficient, environmentally friendly, nutrient‐sensitive, and sanitary outcomes. Corrosion protection efficiency of gum exudates of Astragalus genus (AG) on mild steel surface in 1N HCl medium was investigated using potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopic measurements. The results show that AG acts as an effective green inhibitor for mild steel corrosion in 1N HCl and their inhibition efficiency increases with increasing concentration. Tafel's measurements showed that AG behaves as a mixed-type inhibitor with a predominant cathodic character. The impedance parameters confirm that AG is adsorbed in the form of a protective film on the mild steel surface. The DFT theory at the B3LYP/6-31G (d) basis set level was also performed for the identification of active constituents of AG to investigate the correlation between their molecular structure and corrosion protection efficiency. Nanoparticles of titanium diboride (TiB2) coated with a conductive polymer and subjected to an oxidizing agent was carried out in this research. TiB2 nanoparticles coated with polypyrrole (PPy) were studied using XRD and TEM techniques. Nitrogen adsorption and desorption properties of nanoparticles are covered with modified polypyrrole to understand better the surface zone, structural features, and pore geometries of the nanoparticles. The water-based hazardous anionic Congo red (CR) dye was removed using polypyrrole-coated titanium diboride (PPy@TiB2) nanoparticles. Numerous cutting-edge experimental techniques, including FTIR, FE-SEM, EDXS, and element mapping analysis, were used to confirm the CR color's adhesion to the PPy@TiB2 nanoadsorbent study. While conducting batch experiments, coated TiB2 nanoadsorbents with polypyrrole enhanced the adsorption behaviour. One of the factors evaluated in the adsorption tests was pH; another was contact time, and a third was dose. At pH = 4 , 98.75% of Congo red dye was detached using 60 mg of PPy-coated TiB2 nanoadsorbent. Several sorption-desorption cycles were performed on this nanoadsorbent to determine its reusability. Herein, we have presented a lauric acid (LA)-loaded jelly fig pectin (JFP)-based biocompatible hydrogel, which possesses strong antioxidant and antibacterial properties to treat diabetic wounds. The antioxidant and antibacterial activity of the JFP + LA hydrogels were beneficial in eliminating the reactive oxygen species (ROS) and bacterial infection in the wound bed, thereby protecting the wound surface and accelerating the tissue repair process. The in vivo diabetic wound healing studies demonstrated that applying JFP + LA hydrogels improved the rate of wound contraction and reduced the epithelialization time significantly. The epithelialization period of the control, JFP, JFP + LA 0.5 %, and JFP + LA 1 % hydrogels were 28 ± 1.5 days, 24 ± 1 days, 18.5 ± 1 days, and 19 ± 1 days, respectively. JFP also enhanced the neovascularization and collagen synthesis during wound healing. The incorporation of LA reduced the inflammation and helped recruit macrophages to proceed to other phases of wound healing in rats treated with JFP + LA hydrogels. The results presented provide insight into the clinical management of infected diabetic wounds. The dynamic workload is evenly distributed among all nodes using balancing methods like hosts or VMs. Load Balancing as a Service (LBaaS) is another name for load balancing in the cloud. In this research work, the load is balanced by the application of Virtual Machine (VM) migration carried out by proposed Sail Jelly Fish Optimization (SJFO). The SJFO is formed by combining Sail Fish Optimizer (SFO) and Jellyfish Search (JS) optimizer. In the Cloud model, many Physical Machines (PMs) are present, where these PMs are comprised of many VMs. Each VM has many tasks, and these tasks depend on various parameters like C entral Processing Unit (CPU), memory, Million Instructions per Second (MIPS), capacity, total number of processing entities, as well as bandwidth. Here, the load is predicted by Deep Recurrent Neural Network (DRNN) and this predicted load is compared with a threshold value, where VM migration is done based on predicted values. Furthermore, the performance of SJFO-VM is analysed using the metrics like capacity, load, and resource utilization. The proposed method shows better performance with a superior capacity of 0.598, an inferior load of 0.089, and an inferior resource utilization of 0.257.

In this study, the pristine MgO, MgO/CNT and Ni-MgO/CNT nanocomposites were processed using the impregnation and chemical vapor deposition methods and analyzed for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) using the electrochemical water splitting process. Furthermore, the effect of nickel on the deposited carbon was systematically elaborated in this study. The highly conductive carbon nanotubes (CNTs) deposited on the metal surface of the Ni-MgO nanocomposite heterostructure provides a robust stability and superior electrocatalytic activity. The optimized Ni-MgO/CNT nanocomposite exhibited hierarchical, helical-shaped carbon nanotubes adorned on the surface of the Ni-MgO flakes, forming a hybrid metal-carbon network structure. The catalytic HER was carried out in a 1M alkaline KOH electrolyte, and the optimized Ni-MgO/CNT nanocomposite achieved a low (117 mV) overpotential value (ɳ) at 10 mA cm -2 and needed a low (116 mV/dec) Tafel value, denotes the Volmer-Heyrovsky pathway. Also, the high electrochemical active surface area (ECSA) value of the Ni-MgO/CNT nanocomposite attained 515 cm 2 , which is favorable for the generation of abundant electroactive species, and the prepared electrocatalyst durability was also performed using a chronoamperometry test for the prolonged duration of 20 h at 10 mA cm -2 and exhibited good stability, with a 72% retention. Hence, the obtained results demonstrate that the optimized Ni-MgO/CNT nanocomposite is a highly active and cost-effective electrocatalyst for hydrogen energy production.

Purpose: Pharmacokinetic (PK) studies are critical for dose optimization, and there is a paucity of linezolid (LZD) PK data for prolonged use in drug-resistant tuberculosis (DR-TB). Therefore, the authors evaluated the pharmacokinetics of LZD at two-time intervals in DR-TB during long-term use., Methods: PK evaluation of LZD was performed at the end of the 8th and 16th weeks of treatment in a randomly selected subset of adult pre-extensively drug-resistant pulmonary tuberculosis patients (n = 18) from a multicentric interventional study (Building Evidence to Advance Treatment of TB/BEAT study; CTRI/2019/01/017310), wherein a daily dose of 600 mg LZD was used for 24 weeks. Plasma LZD levels were measured using a validated high-pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC) method., Results: The LZD median plasma C max was comparable between the 8th and 16th weeks [18.3 mg/L, interquartile range (IQR: 15.5-20.8 and 18.8 mg/L, IQR: 16.0-22.7, respectively)]. However, the trough concentration increased significantly in the 16th week (3.16 mg/L, IQR: 2.30-4.76), compared with the 8th week (1.98 mg/L, IQR: 0.93-2.75). Furthermore, compared with the 8th week, in the 16th week, there was a significant increase in drug exposure (AUC 0-24 = 184.2 mg*h/L, IQR: 156.4-215.8 versus 233.2 mg*h/L, IQR: 187.9-277.2), which corroborated with a longer elimination half-life (6.94 hours, IQR: 5.55-7.99 versus 8.47 hours, IQR:7.36-11.35) and decreased clearance (2.91 L/h, IQR: 2.45-3.33 versus 2.19 L/h, IQR: 1.49-2.78)., Conclusions: Long-term daily intake of 600 mg LZD resulted in a significant elevation in trough concentration (>2.0 mg/L) in 83% of the study participants. Furthermore, increased LZD drug exposure may be partly because of decreased clearance and elimination. The heavy metals (HMs) in seafood are alarming due to their biomagnification in the food chain. The concentrations of As, Cd, Hg, Pb, Cr, and Ni in both fresh and dried fish were quantified, and the potential exposure and safe intake levels for human consumption were assessed by the European Commission (EC) and the Food Safety Standard Authority of India (FSSAI). HMs concentrations ranged from 0.003 mg/kg (Cr) to 2.08 mg/kg for (As) and 0.007 mg/kg (Hg) to 2.76 mg/kg (As). Cd, Hg, and Pb levels in fresh and dried fish were below the maximum residue limits (MRLs) set by the EC and FSSAI, which were 0.1 mg/kg, 0.5 mg/kg, and 0.3 mg/kg, respectively. Cr and As concentrations were also below the MRLs of 12 mg/kg and 76 mg/kg for aquatic products specified by FSSAI. The concentration of HMs in fresh and dried fish was found in the order of As > Cr > Ni > Pb > Cd > Hg and As > Cd > Cr > Ni > Pb > Hg, while the fresh and dried fishes contained HMs in the following order: E. areolatus > S. longiceps > L.lentjen > S. barracuda > E. affinis > S. javus and DA > DS > DR > DB > DSF. The metal pollution index (MPI) validates seafood is HMs free, while the single (P i ) and Nemerow integrated pollution index (P nw ) indicate that concentrations of Cd and As in fresh and dried fish have exceeded the threshold value. The target hazard quotient (THQ<1), hazard index (HI < 1), and target cancer risk (TCR<10 -4 ) indicate that there are no non-carcinogenic and carcinogenic risks through the consumption of seafood and seafood products collected from the Tuticorin coast and marketed at the domestic and international levels. The preliminary findings emphasize the importance of formulating domestic legislation/government initiatives to promote seafood and its consumption. While various methods exist for synthesizing silver nanoparticles (AgNPs), green synthesis has emerged as a promising approach due to its affordability, sustainability, and suitability for biomedical purposes. However, green synthesis is time-consuming, necessitating the development of efficient and cost-effective techniques to minimize reaction time. Consequently, researchers have turned their attention to photo-driven processes. In this study, we present the photoinduced bioreduction of silver nitrate (AgNO 3 ) to AgNPs using an aqueous extract of Ulva lactuca , an edible green seaweed. The phytochemicals found in the seaweed functioned as both reducing and capping agents, while light served as a catalyst for biosynthesis. We explored the effects of different light intensities and wavelengths, the initial pH of the reaction mixture, and the exposure time on the biosynthesis of AgNPs. Confirmation of AgNP formation was achieved through the observation of a surface plasmon resonance band at 428 nm using an ultraviolet-visible (UV-vis) spectrophotometer. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) revealed the presence of algae-derived phytochemicals bound to the outer surface of the synthesized AgNPs. Additionally, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) images demonstrated that the NPs possessed a nearly spherical shape, ranging in size from 5 nm to 40 nm. The crystalline nature of the NPs was confirmed by selected area electron diffraction (SAED) and X-ray diffraction (XRD), with Bragg's diffraction pattern revealing peaks at 2θ = 38°, 44°, 64°, and 77°, corresponding to the planes of silver 111, 200, 220, and 311 in the face-centered cubic crystal lattice of metallic silver. Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) results exhibited a prominent peak at 3 keV, indicating an Ag elemental configuration. The highly negative zeta potential values provided further confirmation of the stability of AgNPs. Moreover, the reduction kinetics observed via UV-vis spectrophotometry demonstrated superior photocatalytic activity in the degradation of hazardous pollutant dyes, such as rhodamine B, methylene orange, Congo red, acridine orange, and Coomassie brilliant blue G-250. Consequently, our biosynthesized AgNPs hold great potential for various biomedical redox reaction applications.

Bi 2 S 3 , 5 ml EG-Bi 2 S 3 , and 10 ml EG-Bi 2 S 3 were synthesized by employing solvothermal route. X-ray diffraction, UV-vis absorption, photoluminescence, Raman, scanning electron microscopic studies confirmed the structural, optical, morphological behaviors. The XRD pattern of Bi 2 S 3 , 5 ml EG-Bi 2 S 3 , and 10 ml EG-Bi 2 S 3 was correlated well with JCPDS # 65-2435. The crystallite size was found to be 57, 49, and 40 nm. The photoluminescence spectra showed semiconducting property of prepared Bi 2 S 3 , 5 ml EG-Bi 2 S 3 , and 10 ml EG-Bi 2 S 3 . The absorption spectra of Bi 2 S 3 , 5 ml EG-Bi 2 S 3 , and 10 ml EG-Bi 2 S 3 nanorods were well matched with the spectra of a previous report. The bandgap values of Bi 2 S 3 , 5 ml EG-Bi 2 S 3 , and 10 ml EG-Bi 2 S 3 were calculated to be 1.56, 1.45, and 1.3 eV in reducing order. The morphology of Bi 2 S 3 , 5 ml EG-Bi 2 S 3 , and 10 ml EG-Bi 2 S 3 samples showed the development of nanorods. The 10 ml EG-Bi 2 S 3 sample showed better development of nanorods with the addition of ethylene glycol. The agglomeration was considerably reduced with the mixing of solvent. Bi 2 S 3 , 5 ml EG-Bi 2 S 3 , and 10 ml EG-Bi 2 S 3 catalysts were added to the methylene blue dye solution and its photocatalytic properties were investigated by reducing toxic pollutants under light. The 10 ml EG-Bi 2 S 3 sample with neutral pH and 0.1 g of catalyst was added and investigated which showed 86% of efficiency towards dye degradation. The narrow bandgap, defined morphology of 10 ml EG-Bi 2 S 3 , made a positive result towards efficient photocatalytic activity., (© 2021. Staphylococcus gallinarum FCW1 was isolated from naturally fermented coconut-water and identified by biochemical and molecular methods. Probiotic characterization and safety assessment were conducted through a series of in vitro tests. A high survival rate was observed when the strain was tested for resistance to bile, lysozyme, simulated gastric and intestinal fluid, phenol, and different temperature and salt concentrations. The strain showed antagonism against some pathogens, was susceptible to all antibiotics tested except penicillin, and showed no hemolytic and DNase activity. Hydrophobicity, autoaggregation, biofilm formation, and antioxidation tests indicated that the strain possessed a high adhesive and antioxidant ability. Enzymatic activity was used to evaluate the metabolic capacities of the strain. In-vivo experiment on zebrafish was performed to check its safety status. The whole-genome sequencing indicated that the genome contained 2,880,305 bp with a GC content of 33.23%. The genome annotation confirmed the presence of probiotic-associated genes and genes for oxalate degradation, sulfate reduction, acetate metabolism, and ammonium transport in the FCW1 strain, adding to the theory that this strain may be helpful in treating kidney stones. Plastics play an essential role in food packaging; their primary function is to preserve the nature of the food, ensure adequate shelf life and ensure food safety. Plastics are being produced on a global scale in excess of 320 million tonnes annually, with demand rising to reflect the material in wide range of applications. Nowadays, the packaging industry is a significant consumer of synthetic plastic made from fossil fuels. Petrochemical-based plastics are regarded as the preferred material for packaging. Nonetheless, using these plastics in large quantities results in a long-standing environment. Environmental pollution and the depletion of fossil fuels have prompted researchers and manufacturers to develop eco-friendly biodegradable polymers to replace petrochemical-based polymers. As a result, the production of eco-friendly food packaging material has sparked increased interest as a viable alternative to petrochemical-based polymers. Polylactic acid (PLA) is one of the compostable thermoplastic biopolymers that is biodegradable and renewable in nature. We evaluated the relationship between the pharmacokinetic parameters of linezolid (LZD) and development of adverse drug reactions (ADRs) in patients with pulmonary drug-resistant tuberculosis. A prospective cohort of adults with pulmonary multidrug-resistant tuberculosis with additional resistance to fluoroquinolone (MDR-TB FQ+ ) received treatment with bedaquiline, delamanid, clofazimine, and LZD. Blood samples were collected during weeks 8 and 16 at eight time points over 24 h. The pharmacokinetic parameters of LZD were measured using high-performance liquid chromatography and associated with ADRs. Of the 165 MDR-TB FQ+ patients on treatment, 78 patients developed LZD-associated anemia and 69 developed peripheral neuropathy. Twenty-three patients underwent intense pharmacokinetic testing. Plasma median trough concentration was 2.08 µg/mL and 3.41 µg/mL, (normal <2 µg/mL) and AUC 0-24 was 184.5 µg/h/mL and 240.5 µg/h/mL at weeks 8 and 16, respectively, showing a linear relationship between duration of intake and plasma levels. Nineteen patients showed LZD-associated ADRs-nine at week 8, twelve at week 16, and two at both weeks 8 and 16. Thirteen of the nineteen had high plasma trough and peak concentrations of LZD. A strong association between LZD-associated ADRs and plasma LZD levels was noted. Trough concentration alone or combinations of trough with peak levels are potential targets for therapeutic drug monitoring.

Breast and cervical cancer account for the majority of cancer-narrated fatalities among women worldwide, necessitating the development of novel, effective therapeutic ways to combat the disease. In this study, we synthesized 6-methoxy naphthalene and anthracene-based acrylamide chalcone (NBA and ABA) and evaluated its activity for cell multiplication inhibition against two cancer cell lines from humans such as MCF-7 (Human Breast) and HeLa (Cervical) by MTT assay. Physiochemical characterization, such as FT-IR and NMR analyses, validated the synthesized NBA and ABA. Both NBA and ABA have shown antiproliferative action against two cancer cell lines, each with IC50 values of 38.46 and 48.25 μg/mL for HeLa cells and 38.02 and 36.35 μg/mL for MCF-7 cell lines. The results suggest that these acrylamide chalcones for cancer therapy at the lowest concentration. NBA and ABA could prevent cervical and breast cancer in-vitro, and their anti-cancer activity was closely related to methoxy-substituted naphthalene, anthracene ring, α, β-unsaturated carbonyl and amide group. According to docking data, the NBA and ABA have dock scores ranging from -8.7 to -11.44 kcal/mol. Pro-inflammatory cytokines are potent stimulators of inflammation and immunity and markers of infection severity and bacteriological burden in pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB). Interferons could have both host-protective and detrimental effects on tuberculosis disease. However, their role has not been studied in tuberculous lymphadenitis (TBL). Thus, we evaluated the systemic pro-inflammatory (interleukin (IL)-12, IL-23, interferon (IFN)α, and IFNβ) cytokine levels in TBL, latent tuberculosis (LTBI), and healthy control (HC) individuals. In addition, we also measured the baseline (BL) and post-treatment (PT) systemic levels in TBL individuals. We demonstrate that TBL individuals are characterized by increased pro-inflammatory (IL-12, IL-23, IFNα, IFNβ) cytokines when compared to LTBI and HC individuals. We also show that after anti-tuberculosis treatment (ATT) completion, the systemic levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines were significantly modulated in TBL individuals. A receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis revealed IL-23, IFNα, and IFNβ significantly discriminated TBL disease from LTBI and/or HC individuals. Hence, our study demonstrates the altered systemic levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines and their reversal after ATT, suggesting that they are markers of disease pathogenesis/severity and altered immune regulation in TBL disease.
