UNESCO's MAB Programme promotes a people-centered conservation strategy to strengthen the sustainability of social and ecological systems. However, there exist knowledge gaps regarding its implementation in specific contexts. For this study, a mixed-methods sequential exploratory design was employed. In the first phase, an initial content analysis of the management program of the El Cielo Biosphere Reserve (CBR) and the functions of the statutory framework of UNESCO's MAB program was conducted. This analysis, which was human-driven but facilitated by artificial intelligence tools, underwent rigorous triangulation and expert validation to strengthen the reliability and robustness of the findings. Subsequently, the Management Effectiveness Tracking Tool (METT3) was issued to researchers, community members, civil servants, and former civil servants related to the management of the CBR. The 2024 results (n = 15) were contrasted with those obtained in 2017 (n = 15) using a quantitative approach consisting of descriptive, non-parametric, and Bayesian statistical techniques. We identified some problems in the implementation of the MAB-UNESCO Programme in the CBR, mainly due to the outdated management program and lack of effective governance, as well as the lack of understanding of the implications of being a MAB-UNESCO biosphere reserve. A numerical trend of deterioration in the effectiveness of the CBR's management was detected, with overall ratings of 44.78% and 29.62% in 2017 and 2024, respectively. This was associated with a lack of regulation, weak coordination among key actors, and a progressive reduction in funding. The findings of this study are useful to guide the transition of the CBR towards a conservation model that responds to current problems and contributes to the advancement of knowledge on the implementation of the MAB Programme in specific contexts. This study aims to present an integrative model assessing the impact of Food Biosafety Measures (FBM), e-Service Quality (e-SQ), and Product Quality (PQ) on Online Food Delivery Service (OFDS) brand image, e-consumer satisfaction (e-CS), and e-loyalty (e-LO), grounded in Expectation-Disconfirmation Theory (EDT). Employing a cross-sectional survey design, the study analyzed responses from 911 users in Bogotá and Medellín through structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). A multigroup analysis assessed differences across these two cities. The study found that FBM significantly enhances e-CS but does not directly impact brand image, suggesting other factors, such as e-SQ and PQ, play essential roles. E-SQ and PQ robustly influence brand image, which modestly affects both e-CS and e-LO. The study confirms that e-CS significantly fosters e-LO, with FBM indirectly influencing e-LO via e-CS. For OFDS managers and policymakers, emphasizing food biosecurity, service, and product quality is vital for enhancing consumer satisfaction and fostering loyalty. Geographical nuances revealed through multigroup analysis indicate the importance of region-specific strategies for service quality and market expansion. This research fills a gap in the OFDS literature by empirically validating non-food quality attributes in generating e-CS and, indirectly, e-LO. It highlights the complexity of brand image construction and provides a framework for OFDS brands to augment consumer satisfaction and loyalty in a dynamically evolving sector. Simple Summary: Breast cancer in men is a very rare disease, representing less than 1% of all breast cancer diagnoses. An important percentage of patients with breast cancer will develop brain metastases during the course of their disease. There is very limited data about male patients with breast cancer and brain metastases. Our study evaluated a national database that included 22 patients with brain metastases at initial breast cancer diagnosis and found that tumor subtype, marital status, tumor grade, and other sociodemographic factors affect survival in this population. Further studies including new drugs are recommended to fully evaluate the response to novel treatments for this disease. Breast cancer in men represents approximately 1% of all breast cancer diagnoses. Among all patients with breast cancer, approximately 30% will develop brain metastases. Over the past decade, there have been multiple advances in the treatment of metastatic breast cancer; however, long-term outcomes of this presentation in male patients are lacking. We evaluated male patients with de novo stage IV breast cancer using the Surveillance, Epidemiology and End Results (SEER) database from 2010 to 2019. Overall survival (OS) was estimated using the Kaplan–Meier method and differences between groups were compared using log rank tests. In total, 22 male patients with brain metastases at initial breast cancer diagnosis were included. Patients with HR-positive/HER2-negative tumors had the longest OS (median 13 months). Factors associated with shorter overall survival were advanced age, unmarried marital status, lower household income, and grade III disease, among others. Brain metastases remains an unmet medical need for patients with breast cancer; the development of new drugs may provide an improvement in overall survival for male patients in the future.
