Purpose: Despite suffering from the same disease, each patient exhibits a distinct microbiological profile and variable reactivity to prescribed treatments. Most doctors typically use a standardized treatment approach for all patients suffering from a specific disease. Consequently, the challenge lies in the effectiveness of this standardized treatment and in adapting it to each individual patient. Personalized medicine is an emerging field in which doctors use diagnostic tests to identify the most effective medical treatments for each patient. Prognosis, disease monitoring, and treatment planning rely on manual, error-prone methods. Artificial intelligence (AI) uses predictive techniques capable of automating prognostic and monitoring processes, thus reducing the error rate associated with conventional methods. Methods: This paper conducts an analysis of current literature, encompassing the period from January 2015 to 2023, based on Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). Results: In assessing 25 pertinent studies concerning predicting neoadjuvant treatment (NAT) response in breast cancer (BC) patients, the studies explored various imaging modalities (Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasound, etc.), evaluating results based on accuracy, sensitivity, and area under the curve. Additionally, the technologies employed, such as machine learning (ML), deep learning (DL), statistics, and hybrid models, were scrutinized. The presentation of datasets used for predicting complete pathological response (PCR) was also considered. Conclusion: This paper seeks to unveil crucial insights into the application of AI techniques in personalized oncology, particularly in the monitoring and prediction of responses to NAT for BC patients. Energy management in datacenters is a major challenge today due to the environmental and economic impact of increasing energy consumption. Efficient placement of virtual machines in physical machines within modern datacenters is crucial for their effective management. In this context, five algorithms named CNN-GA, CNN-greedy, CNN-ABC, CNN-ACO and CNN-PSO, have been developed to minimize hosts' power consumption and ensure service quality with relatively low response times. We propose a comparative approach between the developed algorithms and other existing methods for virtual machine placement. The algorithms use optimization algorithms combined with Convolutional Neural Networks to build predictive models of virtual machine placement. The models were evaluated based on their accuracy and complexity to select the optimal solution. The necessary data is collected using the CloudSim Plus simulator, and the prediction results were used to allocate virtual machines according to the predictions of the models. The main objective of this research is to optimize the management of Information Technology resources within datacenters. This is achieved by seeking a virtual machine placement policy that minimizes hosts' power consumption and ensures an appropriate level of service for users' needs. It considers the imperatives of sustainability, performance, and availability by reducing energy consumption and response times. We studied six scenarios under specific constraints to determine the best model for virtual machines' placement. Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) are a kind of artificial neural network designed to extract features and find out patterns for tasks such as segmentation, recognizing objects, and drawing up classification. Within a CNNs architecture, pooling operations are used until the number of parameters and the computational complexity are reduced. Numerous papers have focused on investigating the impact of pooling on the performance of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), leading to the development of various pooling models. Recently, a fuzzy pooling operation based on type-1 fuzzy sets was introduced to cope with the local imprecision of the feature maps. However, in fuzzy set theory, it is not always accurate to assume that the degree of non-membership of an element in a fuzzy set is simply the complement of the degree of membership. This is due to the potential existence of a hesitation degree, which implies a certain level of uncertainty. To overcome this limitation, intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFS) were introduced to incorporate the concept of a degree of hesitation. In this paper, we introduce a novel pooling operation based on intuitionistic fuzzy sets to incorporate the degree of hesitation heretofore neglected by a fuzzy pooling operation based on classical fuzzy sets, and we investigate its performance in the context of image classification. Intuitionistic pooling is performed in four steps: bifuzzification (by the transformation of data through the use of membership and non-membership maps), first aggregation (through the transformation of the IFS into a standard fuzzy set, second aggregation (through the transformation and use of a sum operator), and the defuzzification of feature map neighborhoods by using a max operator. IFS pooling is used for the construction of an intuitionistic pooling layer that can be applied as a drop-in replacement for the current, fuzzy (type-1) and crisp, pooling layers of CNN architectures. Various experiments involving multiple datasets demonstrate that an IFS-based pooling can enhance the classification performance of a CNN. This paper presents an analytical approach to identifying the important characteristics of accident black spots on Moroccan rural roads. An association rule mining method is applied to extract road spatial characteristics associated with fatal accidents. The weighted severity index was calculated for each section, which was then used to determine the severity levels of black spots. The apriori algorithm is applied to find the correlation between road characteristics and the severity levels of black spots. Then, a general rule selection method is proposed to identify the rules strongly associated with each severity level. The results show that the proposed approach is effective in identifying the most important factors contributing to accidents. Furthermore, it shows that the combination of several road characteristics, such as road width, road surface, and bridge presence, may contribute to fatal accidents. The general rule selection found that wet, bad surfaces, and narrow shoulders were significantly associated with accidents on rural roads. The findings of the present study can help develop effective strategies to reduce road accidents and thus improve road safety in the country. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
