In February 2024, the International Association of Dental Traumatology(IADT) and the Academy for Sports Dentistry(ASD) jointly released guidelines for the prevention of dental trauma. Drawing on clinical practice, these guidelines systematically summarize various prevention strategies and management methods for dental trauma with the aim of establishing standardized procedures for its prevention. This article offers a comprehensive analysis of the guidelines, aiming to assist clinicians in mastering and implementing the new version in order to effectively prevent dental trauma and reduce its potential negative effects.

Periodontitis is a chronic inflammatory disease caused by plaque microorganisms, which is the main cause of tooth loss in adults in China. Due to the complexity of periodontitis, their pathogenesis is still unclear. Ferroptosis is a form of iron-dependent regulation of cell death, which affects the function of glutathione peroxidase (GPX4) in the cell through different signaling pathways, thus decreasing antioxidant capacity, accumulation of reactive oxygen species and lipid peroxidation, eventually causing cell and tissue damage. Recent studies have found that iron overload, oxidative stress and lipid peroxidation are closely related to the occurrence and development of periodontitis. This article reviews the characteristics of ferroptosis and the relationship between ferroptosis and inflammatory diseases, especially periodontitis, to provide new ideas for the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis evaluation of periodontitis. ferroptosis is mainly manifested as the disruption of the body's redox homeostasis, decreased antioxidant capacity, activation of damage related molecular patterns, release of pro-inflammatory mediators, and induction or exacerbation of inflammation. Iron dependent oxidative stress and lipid peroxidation are simultaneously involved in the regulation of ferroptosis and inflammatory diseases. Pathogenic bacteria of periodontitis can induce ferroptosis of periodontal ligament stem cells, thereby activating the release of inflammatory factors such as interleukin-17, tumor necrosis factor alpha, and hypoxia inducible factor-1 alpha, exacerbating periodontitis; In addition, inflammatory factors activated by ferroptosis play an important role in alveolar bone homeostasis, and ferroptosis is involved in the process of lipopolysaccharide induced inflammation of gingival fibroblasts. Future research can focus on exploring the molecular mechanisms and therapeutic targets of ferroptosis in periodontitis, providing new strategies for the prevention and treatment of periodontal disease.

Epigenetic modification plays an important role in the biological regulatory process of eukaryotic cells. Tumor immunotherapy is an important means and clinical strategy for the treatment of some cancers. 5-Methylcytosine (m5C) is an important component of the epigenetic regulatory network discovered after m6A and has become a new topic for life science research in recent years. The m5C methylation of RNA can affect the fate of the modified RNA molecules and play an important role in various biological processes, including RNA stability, protein synthesis and transcriptional regulation. Recent studies have shown that m5C writers, erasers and readers are related to a variety of cellular biological processes and systemic diseases, including the occurrence, metastasis and tumor immune microenvironment. m5C methylation can widely affect gene expression and the biological process of tumorigenesis and development at multiple levels, but its specific mechanism and potential interaction with other epigenetic modifications in tumor immunotherapy are still unclear, and its regulatory mechanism, risk assessment and role in targeted therapy for malignant tumors need to be further studied. This article will review the dynamic regulatory network of m5C, the biological role of m5C modification in solid tumors and potential targets in tumor immunotherapy.

This paper presents a systematic review of extant research investigating the effectiveness of Internet-based group cognitive behavioral therapy （IGCBT） for depression and anxiety symptoms with an emphasis on the treatment modalities， treatment protocols， efficacy and mechanism， together with a summary of research limitations and suggestions for future research. Cognitive behavioral therapy （CBT） is a structured， short-term and present-oriented psychotherapeutic treatment， its Internet- and group-delivered modalities have led to its wider application， and has proven to be clinically effective in alleviating depression and anxiety symptoms caused by different diseases， whereas some drawbacks have been reported. Along with the prosperous growth of battery energy storage system being applied in renewable energy system, wide voltage range regulation and low current ripple bidirectional DC/DC converters attract much attention of researchers. Based on a basic boost–buck converter and voltage multiplying unit (VMU), this article proposes a two-stage DC/DC converter. The front stage is an input parallel output serial connected boost–buck converter and the back stage contains a dual-coupled inductors VMU. The storage inductors of the front stage aremagnetically coupled with those in back stage. Employing dual coupled inductors VMU can increase voltage gain while not increasing main switch voltage stress during step-up mode, which can widen the application scenarios. During step-down mode, a fully controlled method can obtain a greater step-down voltage ratio. Due to the interleaving control mode of the main switches, the current ripple of the battery side is lower when the converter works bidirectionally. The proposed converter has the advantages of widening voltage range regulation and lowering current ripple while avoiding extreme switch duty cycle. This article discusses theoretical step-up and step-down work mode of the proposed converter. Cationic materials currently serve as the primary materials for siRNA encapsulation; however, inherent cationic toxicity and limited shelf‐life have hindered their clinical applicability. Although several approaches for encapsulating siRNA without relying on cationic materials exist, achieving a high encapsulation efficiency remains a major challenge. In this study, a feasible strategy is developed for efficiently encapsulating siRNAs in nanogels, without the use of cationic materials. The use of amphiphilic monomers facilitated a higher concentration of monomers at the interlayer, presenting a superior polymerization capability in the inverse emulsion polymerization system. This facilitates the entrapment of siRNA within the nanogel rather than its extrusion. The pH‐responsiveness of the monomer and the enzyme sensitivity of the crosslinkers conferred several benefits to the siRNA‐loaded nanogels, including charge reversal, endo/lysosomal escape, and controlled siRNA release. The efficiency of the nanogel for siRNA delivery and gene inhibition is confirmed through a series of experiments. High aggressiveness is the main reason for the poor prognosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients. However, its molecular mechanisms still remain largely unexplored. ACADL, a mitochondrial enzyme that facilitates the primary regulated step in mitochondrial fatty acid oxidation, plays a role in HCC growth inhibition. However, the function of ACADL in tumor metastasis is not well elucidated. We found that the reduced expression of ACADL is closely associated with the loss of tumor encapsulation, extrahepatic metastasis, and poor prognosis in HCC patients. Upregulation of ACADL significantly inhibited HCC migration and invasion ability. Whereas knockdown of ACADL markedly enhanced cell invasive capability. Expression of matrix metalloproteinase-14 (MMP14) was negatively associated with the content of ACADL in HCC specimens. MMP14-positive patients with a low expression of ACADL showed worse outcome. Treatment with MMP14 agonist reversed the inhibitory effect of ACADL on HCC metastasis. In addition, ACADL negatively regulated MMP14 expression by inhibiting the STAT3 signaling pathway, as the sustained activation of STAT3 effectively restored the level of MMP14 in ACADL-overexpressed cells. Collectively, these findings disclose that ACADL represses HCC metastasis via STAT3-MMP14 pathway. This study may propose a promising strategy for the precise treatment of metastatic HCC patients. In power and data synchronous transmission (PDST), it is crucial to modulate additional signals onto the voltage bus of the converters. This reduces the cost of monitoring and control of the power grid. There is thus the need to ensure that the data transmitted is well secured. This study, designs an electronic system that uses the common coupling point for PDST. Then Chua's memristive circuit is introduced as an entropy source for generating a random bit sequence for encrypted PDST in a switched mode power supply. The encrypted data signal is modulated using phase shift key modulation. Thereafter, the carrier signal is pulse width modulation modulated to control the switching operation of the power switch. The use of Chua's memristive circuit for generating a random number is not new; however, there is little study directly adopting its use in PDST. This allows for resource sharing since multiple signal sources can share the same bus without interference or security risk. The generated random bits are tested for randomness using National Institute of Standards and Technology test suite and autocorrelation test. In this article, an extended‐phase‐shift‐based pulse train control (EPS‐PT) for an intrinsically safe dual active bridge (DAB) converter is proposed to satisfy the safe and reliable power supply in harsh environments such as gas stations, chemical plants, and mining tunnels in complex power systems. A discrete pulse switching control method is introduced, and the input voltage and output current are sampled to calculate the primary target phase shift angle of the DAB converter, followed by the inner phase shift angle, while the secondary phase shift angle is rapidly adjusted by the voltage feedback. In order to meet the requirements of effective control and safe power supply in harsh environments, the system parameters are designed by comprehensively considering the control performance and intrinsically safe requirements. Memristors (MRs) have been used in integrated circuit design due to their nanoscale size and low power consumption. In this study, a flux-controlled binary MR emulator is designed by using off-the-shelf circuit components. Then, two MR-based multi-vibrators are constructed and applied to pulse train (PT) controlled Buck converters. Compared with traditional PT controlled Buck converters requiring two pulse train generators, only one single memristive pulse generator with controllable duty cycle is used to regulate the output voltage. To suppress the low-frequency oscillations of the PT-controlled Buck converter in continuous conduction mode (CCM), an inductor current based PT (IC-PT) control method is devised with the proposed MR-based pulse generator. Simulation and experimental results both show that the IC-PT-controlled Buck converter with the MR-based pulse generator can achieve fast transient response and minimum low-frequency voltage oscillations in the CCM.
