But Roy Chan of DLA Piper said that the no cases are enforced under the agreement due to time spent in writing the required clause into contracts.

The article reports on the completion of the Professional Services Development Assistance Scheme Project by the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) which aims to promote Hong Kong as a centre for international arbitration in the U.S. The HKIAC says there is a general lack of awareness of the legal system in Hong Kong in the U.S. According to a HKIAC spokesperson, part of the Centre's mission was to show the transparency of Hong Kong, its dependence on the rule of law as well as its separate status and independent legal system.
