In an era overwhelmed by academic big data, students grapple with identifying academic papers that resonate with their learning objectives and research interests, due to the sheer volume and complexity of available information. This study addresses the challenge by proposing a novel academic paper recommendation system designed to enhance personalized learning through the nuanced understanding of academic social networks. Utilizing the theory of social homogeneity, the research first constructs a sophisticated academic social network, capturing high-order social relationships, such as co-authorship and advisor–advisee connections, through hypergraph modeling and advanced network representation learning techniques. The methodology encompasses the development and integration of a hypergraph convolutional neural network and a contrastive learning framework to accurately model and recommend academic papers, focusing on aligning with students' unique preferences and reducing reliance on sparse interaction data. The findings, validated across multiple real-world datasets, demonstrate a significant improvement in recommendation accuracy, particularly in addressing the cold-start problem and effectively mapping advisor–advisee relationships. Due to the complex nature of Chinese characters, junior international students often encounter writing problems related to strokes, components, and their combinations when writing Chinese characters. Digital ink Chinese characters (DICCs) are obtained by sampling the writing trajectory of Chinese characters with a pen input device. DICCs contain rich information, such as the time and space of strokes and sampling points. Recognizing DICCs is crucial for evaluating and correcting writing errors and enhancing the quality of Chinese character teaching for international students. Here, the paper first employs a one-dimensional dilated convolution to digital ink Chinese character recognition (DICCR) and proposes a novel residual network with one-dimensional dilated convolution (1-D ResNetDC). The 1-D ResNetDC not only utilizes multi-scale convolution kernels, but also employs different dilation rates on a single-scale convolution kernel to obtain information from various ranges. Additionally, residual connections facilitate the training of deep one-dimensional convolutional neural networks. Moreover, the paper proposes a more expressive ten-dimensional feature representation that includes spatial, temporal, and writing direction information for each sampling point, thereby improving classification accuracy. Because the DICC dataset of international students is small and unbalanced, the 1-D ResNetDC is pre-trained on the published available dataset. We present in this paper the state of the art and an analysis of recent research work and achievements performed in the domain of AI-based and vision-based systems for helping blind and visually impaired people (BVIP). We start by highlighting the recent and tremendous importance that AI has acquired following the use of convolutional neural networks (CNN) and their ability to solve image classification tasks efficiently. After that, we also note that VIP have high expectations about AI-based systems as a possible way to ease the perception of their environment and to improve their everyday life. Then, we set the scope of our survey: we concentrate our investigations on the use of CNN or related methods in a vision-based system for helping BVIP. We analyze the existing surveys, and we study the current work (a selection of 30 case studies) using several dimensions such as acquired data, learned models, and human–computer interfaces. This study compares the performance of graph convolutional neural network (GCN) models with conventional natural language processing (NLP) models for classifying scientific literature related to radio frequency electromagnetic field (RF-EMF). Specifically, the study examines two GCN models: BertGCN and the citation-based GCN. The study concludes that the model achieves consistently good performance when the input text is long enough, based on the attention mechanism of BERT. When the input sequence is short, the composition parameter  λ , which combines output values of the two subnetworks of BertGCN, plays a crucial role in achieving high classification accuracy. As the value of  λ  increases, the classification accuracy also increases. The study also proposes and tests a simplified variant of BertGCN, revealing performance differences among the models under two different data conditions by the existence of keywords. This study has two main contributions: (1) the implementation and testing of a variant of BertGCN and citation-based GCN for document classification tasks related to radio frequency electromagnetic fields publications, and (2) the confirmation of the impact of model conditions, such as the existence of keywords and input sequence length, in the original BertGCN. Heart disease can be life-threatening if not detected and treated at an early stage. The electrocardiogram (ECG) plays a vital role in classifying cardiovascular diseases, and often physicians and medical researchers examine paper-based ECG images for cardiac diagnosis. An automated heart disease prediction system might help to classify heart diseases accurately at an early stage. This study aims to classify cardiac diseases into five classes with paper-based ECG images using a deep learning approach with the highest possible accuracy and the lowest possible time complexity. This research consists of two approaches. In the first approach, five deep learning models, InceptionV3, ResNet50, MobileNetV2, VGG19, and DenseNet201, are employed. In the second approach, an integrated deep learning model (InRes-106) is introduced, combining InceptionV3 and ResNet50. This model is developed as a deep convolutional neural network capable of extracting hidden and high-level features from images. An ablation study is conducted on the proposed model altering several components and hyperparameters, improving the performance even further. Before training the model, several image pre-processing techniques are employed to remove artifacts and enhance the image quality. Our proposed hybrid InRes-106 model performed best with a testing accuracy of 98.34%. The InceptionV3 model acquired a testing accuracy of 90.56%, the ResNet50 89.63%, the DenseNet201 88.94%, the VGG19 87.87%, and the MobileNetV2 achieved 80.56% testing accuracy. The model is trained with a k-fold cross-validation technique with different k values to evaluate the robustness further. Although the dataset contains a limited number of complex ECG images, our proposed approach, based on various image pre-processing techniques, model fine-tuning, and ablation studies, can effectively diagnose cardiac diseases. The object tracking algorithm TransT, based on Transformer, achieves significant improvements in accuracy and success rate by fusing the extracted features of convolutional neural networks with the structure of Transformer. However, when dealing with the deformation of the object's appearance, the algorithm exhibits issues such as insufficient tracking accuracy and drift, which directly affect the stability of the algorithm. In order to overcome this problem, this paper demonstrates how to expand scene information at the scale level during the fusion process and, on this basis, achieve accurate recognition and positioning. The predicted results are promptly fed back to the subsequent tracking process, from which temporal templates are embedded. Starting from both location and time can effectively improve the adaptive ability of the tracking model. In the final experimental comparison results, the algorithm proposed in this paper can adapt well to the situation of object deformation, and the overall performance of the tracking model has also been improved. The sliding window method is commonly used for non-intrusive load disaggregation. However, it is difficult to choose the appropriate window size, and the disaggregation effect is poor in low-frequency industrial environments. To better handle low-frequency industrial load data, in this paper, we propose a vertical non-intrusive load disaggregation model that is different from the sliding window method. By training multiple electrical parameters at a single point on the bus end with the corresponding load data at the branch end, the proposed method, called multiple electrical parameters to point (Mep2point), takes the electrical parameter data sampled at a single point on the bus end as its input and outputs the load data of the target device sampled at the corresponding point. First, the electrical parameters of the bus end are processed, and each item is normalized to the range from 0–1. Then, the electrical parameters are vertically arranged by their time point, and a convolutional neural network (CNN) is used to train the model. The proposed method is analyzed on low-frequency industrial user data sampled at a frequency of 1/120 Hz in the real world. We compare our method with three advanced sliding window methods, achieving an average improvement ranging from 9.23% to 22.51% in evaluation metrics, while showing substantial superiority in the actual decomposed images. Compared with three classical machine learning algorithms, our model, using the same amount of data, significantly outperforms these methods. Finally, we also compared our method with the multi-channel low window sequence-to-point (MLSP) method, which also selects multiple electrical parameters. Our model's complexity is much less than that of the MLSP model, and its performance remains high. The superiority of our model, as presented in this paper, is fully verified by experimental analysis, which can produce better actual load decomposition results from each branch and contribute to the analysis and monitoring of loads in industrial environments. Convolutional neural networks have achieved excellent results in image denoising; however, there are still some problems: (1) The majority of single-branch models cannot fully exploit the image features and often suffer from the loss of information. (2) Most of the deep CNNs have inadequate edge feature extraction and saturated performance problems. To solve these problems, this paper proposes a two-branch convolutional image denoising network based on nonparametric attention and multiscale feature fusion, aiming to improve the denoising performance while better recovering the image edge and texture information. Firstly, ordinary convolutional layers were used to extract shallow features of noise in the image. Then, a combination of two-branch networks with different and complementary structures was used to extract deep features from the noise information in the image to solve the problem of insufficient feature extraction by the single-branch network model. The upper branch network used densely connected blocks to extract local features of the noise in the image. The lower branch network used multiple dilation convolution residual blocks with different dilation rates to increase the receptive field and extend more contextual information to obtain the global features of the noise in the image. It not only solved the problem of insufficient edge feature extraction but also solved the problem of the saturation of deep CNN performance. In this paper, a nonparametric attention mechanism is introduced in the two-branch feature extraction module, which enabled the network to pay attention to and learn the key information in the feature map, and improved the learning performance of the network. The enhanced features were then processed through the multiscale feature fusion module to obtain multiscale image feature information at different depths to obtain more robust fused features. Finally, the shallow features and deep features were summed using a long jump join and were processed through an ordinary convolutional layer and output to obtain a residual image. In this paper, Set12, BSD68, Set5, CBSD68, and SIDD are used as a test dataset to which different intensities of Gaussian white noise were added for testing and compared with several mainstream denoising methods currently available. The experimental results showed that this paper's algorithm had better objective indexes on all test sets and outperformed the comparison algorithms. The method in this paper not only achieved a good denoising effect but also effectively retained the edge and texture information of the original image. Currently, in the application scenario of generative adversarial networks, determining how to improve the quality of the generated signals and ensure the modulation recognition accuracy of convolutional neural networks are important problems. In this paper, a generative sample quality screening method for the problem of low-quality samples generated by generative adversarial networks under few-shot conditions has been proposed, which innovatively establishes a sample expansion mode without fixing the network parameters, realizes the learning of the real data distribution by constantly updating the network weights, and enhances the quality of the expanded samples by adopting the quality screening method with two quality screenings. A generative adversarial network has been designed for this method, which reduces the time investment required for generating samples by extracting different features of few-shots of signals. The experimental results show the few-shot conditions, under the signal-to-noise ratio of −8∼12 dB and three expansion ratios of 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3. Compared with the general method expansion, the average modulation mode recognition accuracy of the QCO-CFGAN method expanded with the quality screening method is improved by 2.65%, 2.46% and 2.73%, respectively, which proves the effectiveness under this condition. Recognizing the action of plastic bag taking from CCTV video footage represents a highly specialized and niche challenge within the broader domain of action video classification. To address this challenge, our paper introduces a novel benchmark video dataset specifically curated for the task of identifying the action of grabbing a plastic bag. Additionally, we propose and evaluate three distinct baseline approaches. The first approach employs a combination of handcrafted feature extraction techniques and a sequential classification model to analyze motion and object-related features. The second approach leverages a multiple-frame convolutional neural network (CNN) to exploit temporal and spatial patterns in the video data. The third approach explores a 3D CNN-based deep learning model, which is capable of processing video data as volumetric inputs. Lung diseases are a major global health concern, with nearly 4 million deaths annually, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). Chest X-rays (CXR) are widely used as a cost-effective and efficient diagnostic tool by radiologists to detect conditions such as pneumonia, tuberculosis, COVID-19, and lung cancer. This review paper provides an overview of the current research on diagnosing lung diseases using CXR images and Artificial Intelligence (AI), without focusing on any specific disease. It examines different approaches employed by researchers to leverage CXR, an accessible diagnostic medium, for early lung disease detection. This review shortlisted 11 research papers addressing this problem through AI, exploring the datasets used and their sources. Results varied across studies: for lung cancer, Deep Convolutional Neural Network (DCNN) achieved 97.20% accuracy, while multiclass frameworks like ResNet152V2+Bi-GRU (gated reccurent unit) reached 79.78% and 93.38%, respectively. For COVID-19 detection, accuracy rates of 98% and 99.37% were achieved using EfficientNet and Parallel Convolutional Neural Network-Extreme Learning Machine (CNN-ELM). Additionally, studies on the CXR-14 dataset (14 classes) showed high accuracy, with MobileNet V2 reaching 94%. Other notable results include 73% accuracy with VDSNet, 98.05% with VGG19+CNN for three classes, and high accuracy in detecting pediatric pneumonia, lung opacity, pneumothorax, and tuberculosis. To protect our planet, the material recycling of domestic waste is necessary. Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, the volume of domestic waste has surged overwhelmingly, and many countries suffered from poor waste management. Increased demand for food delivery and online shopping led to a huge surge in plastic and paper waste which came from natural resources. To reduce the consumption of resources and protect the environment from pollution, such as that from landfills, waste should be recycled. One of precious recyclable materials from household waste is liquid cartons that are made of high-quality paper. To promote sustainable recycling, this paper proposes a vision-based inspection module based on convolutional neural networks via transfer learning (CNN-TL) for collecting liquid packaging cartons in the reverse vending machine (RVM). The RVM is an unmanned automatic waste collector, and thus it needs the intelligence to inspect whether a deposited item is acceptable or not. The whole processing algorithm for collecting cartons, including the inspection step, is presented. When the waste is inserted into the RVM by a user after scanning the barcode on the waste, it is relocated to the inspection module, and the item is weighed. To develop the inspector, an experimental set-up with a video camera was built for image data generation and preparation. Using the image data, the inspection agent was trained. To make a good selection for the model, 17 pretrained CNN models were evaluated, and DenseNet121 was selected. To access the performance of the cameras, four different types were also evaluated. With the same CNN model, this paper found the effect of the number of training epochs being set to 10, 100, and 500. In the results, the most accurate agent was the 500-epoch model, as expected. By using the RVM process logic with this model, the results showed that the accuracy of detection was over 99% (overall probability from three inspections), and the time to inspect one item was less than 2 s. Applications such as autonomous driving require high-precision semantic image segmentation technology to identify and understand the content of each pixel in the images. Compared with traditional deep convolutional neural networks, the Transformer model is based on pure attention mechanisms, without convolutional layers or recurrent neural network layers. In this paper, we propose a new network structure called SwinLab, which is an improvement upon the Swin Transformer. Experimental results demonstrate that the improved SwinLab model achieves a segmentation accuracy comparable to that of deep convolutional neural network models in applications such as autonomous driving, with an MIoU of 77.61. Additionally, comparative experiments on the CityScapes dataset further validate the effectiveness and generalization of this structure. The application value of low-quality photos taken in foggy conditions is significantly lower than that of clear images. As a result, restoring the original image information and enhancing the quality of damaged images on cloudy days are crucial. Commonly used deep learning techniques like DehazeNet, AOD-Net, and Li have shown encouraging progress in the study of image dehazing applications. However, these methods suffer from a shallow network structure leading to limited network estimation capability, reliance on atmospheric scattering models to generate the final results that are prone to error accumulation, as well as unstable training and slow convergence. Aiming at these problems, this paper proposes an improved end-to-end convolutional neural network method based on the denoising self-encoder-DenseNet (DAE-DenseNet), where the denoising self-encoder is used as the main body of the network structure, the encoder extracts the features of haze images, the decoder performs the feature reconstruction to recover the image, and the boosting module further performs the feature fusion locally and globally, and finally outputs the dehazed image. Testing the defogging effect in the public dataset, the PSNR index of DAE-DenseNet is 22.60, which is much higher than other methods. Experiments have proved that the dehazing method designed in this paper is better than other algorithms to a certain extent, and there is no color oversaturation or an excessive dehazing phenomenon in the image after dehazing. In this paper, an improved MobileNetV3-Small algorithm model is proposed for the problem of poor real-time wildfire identification based on convolutional neural networks (CNNs). Firstly, a wildfire dataset is constructed and subsequently expanded through image enhancement techniques. Secondly, an efficient channel attention mechanism (ECA) is utilised instead of the Squeeze-and-Excitation (SE) module within the MobileNetV3-Small model to enhance the model's identification speed. Lastly, a support vector machine (SVM) is employed to replace the classification layer of the MobileNetV3-Small model, with principal component analysis (PCA) applied before the SVM to reduce the dimensionality of the features, thereby enhancing the SVM's identification efficiency. The experimental results demonstrate that the improved model achieves an accuracy of 98.75% and an average frame rate of 93. Compared to the initial model, the mean frame rate has been elevated by 7.23. In response to the issue that the fusion process of infrared and visible images is easily affected by lighting factors, in this paper, we propose an adaptive illumination perception fusion mechanism, which was integrated into an infrared and visible image fusion network. Spatial attention mechanisms were applied to both infrared images and visible images for feature extraction. Deep convolutional neural networks were utilized for further feature information extraction. The adaptive illumination perception fusion mechanism is then integrated into the image reconstruction process to reduce the impact of lighting variations in the fused images. A Median Strengthening Channel and Spatial Attention Module (MSCS) was designed to be integrated into the backbone of YOLOv8. In this paper, we used the fusion network to create a dataset named ivifdata for training the target recognition network. In pediatric rehabilitation medicine, manual assessment methods for visual–motor integration result in inconsistent scoring standards. To address these issues, incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) technology is a feasible approach that can reduce time and improve accuracy. Existing research on visual–motor integration scoring has proposed a framework based on convolutional neural networks (CNNs) for the Beery–Buktenica developmental test of visual–motor integration. However, as the number of training questions increases, the accuracy of this framework significantly decreases. This paper proposes a new architecture to reduce the number of features, channels, and overall model complexity. The architectureoptimizes input features by concatenating question numbers with answer features and selecting appropriate channel ratios and optimizes the output vector by designing the task as a multi-class classification. This paper also proposes a model named improved DenseNet. After experimentation, DenseNet201 was identified as the most suitable pre-trained model for this task and was used as the backbone architecture for improved DenseNet. Partial discharge (PD) is a commonly encountered discharge-related fault in transformers. Due to the unique characteristics of the environment where PD occurs, challenges such as difficulty in data acquisition and scarcity of samples arise. Convolutional neural networks (CNNs) are widely used in pattern recognition because of their strong feature extraction capabilities. To improve the recognition accuracy of PD models, this paper integrates CNN, bidirectional long short-term memory (BiLSTM), and an attention mechanism. In the proposed model, CNN is employed to extract local spatial and temporal features, BiLSTM is utilized to extract global bidirectional spatial and temporal features, and the attention mechanism assigns adaptive weights to the features. Additionally, to address the issues of sample scarcity and data imbalance, an improved GAN is introduced to augment the data. The experimental results demonstrate that the CNN-BiLSTM-attention method proposed in this paper significantly improves the prediction accuracy. Despite these advancements, comprehensive reviews synthesizing recent findings remain scarce. By analyzing over 100 research papers over past half-decade (2019–2024), this review fills that gap, exploring the latest methods and paradigms, summarizing key concepts, challenges, datasets, and offering insights into future directions for brain tumor detection using deep learning. This review also incorporates an analysis of previous reviews and targets three main aspects: feature extraction, segmentation, and classification. The results revealed that research primarily focuses on Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) and their variants, with a strong emphasis on transfer learning using pre-trained models. This paper proposes a short-term electric load forecasting method combining convolutional neural networks and gated recurrent units with an attention mechanism. By integrating CNNs and GRUs, the method can fully leverage the strengths of CNNs in feature extraction and the advantages of GRUs in sequence modeling, enabling the model to comprehend signal data more comprehensively and effectively extract features from sequential data. Late-onset Alzheimer's disease (LOAD) is a subtype of dementia that manifests after the age of 65. It is characterized by progressive impairments in cognitive functions, behavioral changes, and learning difficulties. Given the progressive nature of the disease, early diagnosis is crucial. Early-onset Alzheimer's disease (EOAD) is solely attributable to genetic factors, whereas LOAD has multiple contributing factors. A complex pathway mechanism involving multiple factors contributes to LOAD progression. Employing a systems biology approach, our analysis encompassed the genetic, epigenetic, metabolic, and environmental factors that modulate the molecular networks and pathways. Ghost imaging is a technique for indirectly reconstructing images by utilizing the second-order or higher-order correlation properties of the light field, which exhibits a robust ability to resist interference. On the premise of ensuring the quality of the image, effectively broadening the imaging range can improve the practicality of the technology. In this paper, a dual-path computational ghost imaging method based on convolutional neural networks is proposed. By using the dual-path detection structure, a wider range of target image information can be obtained, and the imaging range can be expanded. In this paper, for the first time, we try to use the two-channel probe as the input of the convolutional neural network and successfully reconstruct the target image. As the application of the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) continues to expand, its stability and safety issues are receiving more and more attention, especially the interference problem. Interference reduces the signal reception quality of ground terminals and may even lead to the paralysis of GNSS function in severe cases. In recent years, Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites have been highly emphasized for their unique advantages in GNSS interference detection, and related commercial and academic activities have increased rapidly. In this context, based on the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and radio-frequency interference (RFI) measurements data from COSMIC-2 satellites, this paper explores a method of predicting RFI measurements using SNR correlation variations in different GNSS signal channels for application to the detection and localization of civil terrestrial GNSS interference signals. Research shows that the SNR in different GNSS signal channels shows a correlated change under the influence of RFI. To this end, a CNN-BiLSTM-Attention model combining a convolutional neural network (CNN), bi-directional long and short-term memory network (BiLSTM), and attention mechanism is proposed in this paper, and the model takes the multi-channel SNR time series of the GNSS as the input and outputs the maximum measured value of RFI in the multi-channels. The experimental results show that compared with the traditional band-pass filtering inter-correlation method and other deep learning models, the model in this paper has a root mean square error (RMSE), mean absolute error (MAE), and correlation coefficient (R2) of 1.0185, 1.8567, and 0.9693, respectively, in RFI prediction, which demonstrates a higher RFI detection accuracy and a wide range of rough localization capabilities, showing significant competitiveness. A millimeter-wave radar is widely accepted by the public due to its low susceptibility to interference, such as changes in light, and the protection of personal privacy. With the development of the deep learning theory, the deep learning method has been dominant in the millimeter-wave radar field, which usually uses convolutional neural networks for feature extraction. In recent years, transformer networks have also been highly valued by researchers due to their parallel processing capabilities and long-distance dependency modeling capabilities. However, traditional convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and vision transformers each have their limitations: CNNs usually overlook the global features of images and vision transformers may neglect local image continuity, and both of them may impede gesture recognition performance. In addition, whether CNN or transformer, their implementation is hindered by the scarcity of public radar gesture datasets. To address these limitations, this paper proposes a new recognition method using a local pyramid visual transformer (LPVT) based on millimeter-wave radar. LPVT can capture global and local features in dynamic gesture spectrograms, ultimately improving the recognition ability of gestures. In this paper, we mainly carried out the following two tasks: building the corresponding datasets and executing gesture recognition. First, we constructed a gesture dataset for training. In this stage, we use a 77 GHz radar to collect the echo signals of gestures and preprocess them to build a dataset. Second, we propose the LPVT network specifically designed for gesture recognition tasks. By integrating local sensing into the globally focused transformer, we improve its capacity to capture both global and local features in dynamic gesture spectrograms. Convolutional neural networks (CNN) and Vision Transformers (ViT) have long been the main backbone networks for visual classification in the field of deep learning. Although ViT has recently received more attention than CNN due to its excellent fitting ability, their scalability is largely limited by the quadratic complexity of attention computation. For the determination of diabetic retinopathy, the fundus lesions as well as the width, angle, and branching pattern of retinal blood vessels are characterized, inspired by the ability of Mamba and VMamba to efficiently model long sequences, VMamba-m is proposed in this paper. This is a generalized visual skeleton model designed to reduce computational complexity to linear while retaining the advantageous features of ViTs. By modifying the cross-entropy loss function, we enhance the model's attention to rare categories, especially in large-scale multi-category classification tasks. In order to enhance the adaptability of the VMamba-m model in processing visual data, we introduce the se channel attention mechanism, which enables the model to learn features in the channel dimension and form the importance of each channel. Finally, different weights are assigned to each channel through the incentive part. In addition to this, this paper further improves the implementation details and architectural design by introducing a novel attention mechanism implemented based on the local windowing method, which aims to optimize the model's ability in processing long sequence data to enhance the performance of VMamba-m and improve its inference speed. In order to improve the prediction accuracy of short-term power loads in a power system, this paper proposes a short-term load prediction method (POA-DLSTMs-FCN) based on a combination of multi-layer lost long short-term memory (DLSTM) neural networks, fully convolutional neural networks (FCNs) and the pelican optimization algorithm (POA). This method firstly uses DLSTMs to extract the time-series features of the load data, which can effectively capture the dynamic changes in the time series; subsequently, it combines the convolution operation of FCNs to obtain high-resolution information between the load data and the features, which enhances the expressive ability of the model. Through a parallel structure, DLSTMs and FCNs can jointly optimize the information extraction and then construct a more accurate load forecasting model. In addition, the learning rate, the number of hidden neurons and the deactivation probability of the Dropout layer in DLSTMs are optimized by the POA to further enhance the performance of the model. The development of power systems puts forward higher requirements for transient stability evaluations of power systems. The accuracy and timeliness of transient stability assessment are of great significance to the safe and stable operation of power systems. Traditional mechanistic judgment methods and criteria have strong interpretability, but they also have great limitations. They are still difficult to apply to complex power systems and are in urgent need of improvement. Artificial intelligence methods have high accuracy in stability judgment, but they have problems such as poor interpretability, and their stability judgment results are often difficult to explain. Based on the transient stability judgment mechanism of the response-driven transient energy function, this paper proposes a transient energy function stability judgment method based on a two-machine equivalent model and enhanced by a convolutional neural network. Firstly, the ST-kmeans method is used to cluster the generator sets, and the S-transformation is performed on the power angle changes of the generator sets to extract features. Then, the principal component analysis method is used to reduce the dimension of the feature data. Based on the k-means clustering method, the IEEE-39 node system generator synchronization units are grouped according to the power angle change trend of each generator after the fault. On the basis of the above methods, a two-machine equivalent model of the IEEE-39 node system is established, and the transient energy function of the two-machine system is derived. Based on the convolutional neural network, the critical energy is enhanced, and the fixed critical energy threshold is replaced by the corrected critical energy. This paper addresses the problem of real-time onboard routing for dynamic low earth orbit (LEO) satellite networks. It is difficult to apply general routing algorithms to dynamic LEO networks due to the frequent changes in satellite topology caused by the disconnection between moving satellites. Deep reinforcement learning (DRL) models trained by various dynamic networks can be considered. However, since the inference process with the DRL model requires too long a computation time due to multiple convolutional layer operations, it is not practical to apply to a real-time on-board computer (OBC) with limited computing resources. To solve the problem, this paper proposes a practical co-design method with heterogeneous processors to parallelize and accelerate a part of the multiple convolutional layer operations on a field-programmable gate array (FPGA). Because of the difficulty in fault detection for and diagnosing the adjustment hydraulic servomotor, this paper uses feature extraction technology to extract the time domain and frequency domain features of the pressure signal of the adjustment hydraulic servomotor and splice the features of multiple pressure signals through the Multi-source Information Fusion (MSIF) method. The comprehensive expression of device status information is obtained. Ground-glass nodules (GGN) are the main manifestation of early lung cancer, and accurate and efficient identification of ground-glass pulmonary nodules is of great significance for the treatment of lung diseases. In response to the problem of traditional machine learning requiring manual feature extraction, and most deep learning models applied to 2D image classification, this paper proposes a Transformer-based recognition model for ground-glass nodules from the view of global 3D asymmetry feature representation. Firstly, a 3D convolutional neural network is used as the backbone to extract the features of the three-dimensional CT-image block of pulmonary nodules automatically; secondly, positional encoding information is added to the extracted feature map and input into the Transformer encoder layer for further extraction of global 3D asymmetry features, which can preserve more spatial information and obtain higher-order asymmetry feature representation; finally, the extracted asymmetry features are entered into a support vector machine or ELM-KNN model to further improve the recognition ability of the model. The experimental results show that the recognition accuracy of the proposed method reaches 95.89%, which is 4.79, 2.05, 4.11, and 2.74 percentage points higher than the common deep learning models of AlexNet, DenseNet121, GoogLeNet, and VGG19, respectively; compared with the latest models proposed in the field of pulmonary nodule classification, the accuracy has been improved by 2.05, 2.05, and 0.68 percentage points, respectively, which can effectively improve the recognition accuracy of ground-glass nodules. Roll-on/roll-off vessels (RO/RO vessels) are playing an increasingly critical role in international automobile transport, facilitating the efficient movement of vehicles and heavy machinery across continents. Despite this growing significance, there is still limited research specifically focused on the RO/RO shipping network and its impact on global trade. This paper studies the global RO/RO shipping network using AIS data on RO/RO vessels collected from 2020 to 2023. We construct a method based on the complex network theory and the graph feature extraction method to quantitatively assess the features of the RO/RO shipping network. This method assesses the complexity, sparsity, homogeneity, modularity, and hierarchy of the RO/RO shipping network across various ports and countries and employs the graph convolutional neural network (GCN) model to extract network features for community detection. This process enables the identification of port clusters that are frequently linked to RO/RO vessels, as well as regional transport modes. The paper's findings support these conclusions: (1) From 2020 to 2023, the number of nodes in the RO/RO shipping network increased by 22%, primarily concentrated in African countries. The RO/RO shipping network underwent restructuring after the pandemic, with major complex network parameters showing an upward trend. (2) The RO/RO shipping network is complex, with a stable graph density of 0.106 from 2020 to 2023. The average degree increased by 7% to 4.224. Modularity decreased by 6.5% from 0.431 in 2022 to 0.403, while the hierarchy coefficient rose to 0.575, suggesting that post-pandemic, community routes have become more diverse, reflecting the reconstruction and maturation of the overall network. (3) The model yielded a silhouette coefficient of 0.548 and a Davies–Bouldin index of 0.559 using an improved automatic feature extraction method. In comparison between 2020 and 2023, the changes in the two indicators are small. Utilizing magnetic anomaly data for effective edge detection of source bodies can provide crucial evidence for the delineation of geological units and the division of fault structures. However, the existing edge detection methods of source bodies from magnetic anomalies are influenced by factors such as the source bodies' burial depth, magnetization direction, and mutual interference of magnetic anomalies, leading to errors in subsequent interpretation tasks. The advanced convolutional neural network possesses robust capabilities for feature representation and deep learning, prompting this paper to introduce an edge detection method for source bodies based on convolutional neural networks. The issue is initially framed as a semantic segmentation problem, and four network architectures aimed at edge detection of a source body from magnetic anomaly are designed and modified based on the U-Net and ResNet. Subsequently, a multitude of high-quality sample data sets are constructed using models with varying locations, scales, quantities, and physical properties to train the network. This paper then details model experiments that escalate from simple to complex, taking into account the combined effects of burial depth and inclined magnetization on edge detection. Compared to conventional edge detection methods, the method proposed in this paper is shown to accurately identify edges of source bodies at various depths with little impact from inclined magnetization and can automatically extract edge information without manual intervention. With the recent development of smart farms, researchers are very interested in such fields. In particular, the field of disease diagnosis is the most important factor. However, the serial autoencoder proposed in this paper uses the difference between the two fake images, instead of the actual input, as a score. The deflection control of the main girder in suspension bridges, as flexible structures, is critically important during their operation. To predict the vertical deflection of existing suspension bridge girders under the combined effects of stochastic traffic loads and environmental temperature, this paper proposes an integrated deflection interval prediction method based on a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), a probability density estimation layer, and bridge monitoring data. A time-series training dataset consisting of environmental temperature, vehicle load, and deflection monitoring data was built based on bridge health monitoring data. The CNN-LSTM combined layer is used to capture both local features and long-term dependencies in the time series. A Gaussian distribution (GD) is adopted as the probability density function, and its parameters are estimated using the maximum likelihood method, which outputs the optimal deflection prediction and probability intervals. Furthermore, this paper proposes a method for identifying abnormal deflections of the main girder in existing suspension bridges and establishes warning thresholds. This study indicates that, for short time scales, the CNN-LSTM-GD model achieves a 47.22% improvement in Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) and a 12.37% increase in the coefficient of determination ( R 2 ) compared to the LSTM model. When compared to the CNN-LSTM model, it shows an improvement of 28.30% in RMSE and 6.55% in R 2 . For long time scales, the CNN-LSTM-GD model shows a 54.40% improvement in RMSE and a 10.22% increase in R 2 compared to the LSTM model. Compared to the CNN-LSTM model, it improves RMSE by 38.43% and R 2 by 5.31%. This model is instrumental in more accurately identifying abnormal deflections and determining deflection thresholds, making it applicable to bridge deflection early-warning systems. The increasing electrification and integration of advanced controls in modern aircraft designs have significantly raised the number and complexity of installed printed circuit boards (PCBs), posing new challenges for efficient maintenance and rapid failure detection. Despite self-diagnostic features in current avionics systems, circuit damage and multiple simultaneous failures may arise, compromising safety and diagnostic accuracy. To address these challenges, this paper aims to develop a fast, accurate, and non-destructive, multi-failure diagnosis algorithm for PCBs. The proposed method combines a self-attention mechanism with an adaptive graph convolutional neural network to enhance diagnostic precision. A convolutional neural network with residual connections extracts features from scalar magnetic field data, ensuring robust input diversity. The model was tested on a typical dual-phase amplitude boosting circuit with up to four different simultaneous failures, achieving the experimental results of 99.08%, 98.50%, 98.78%, 98.01%, 98.93%, 98.25%, 97.03%, and 99.77% across metrics including overall precision, per-class precision, overall recall, per-class recall, overall F1 measure, and per-class F1 measure. The results demonstrated its effectiveness and feasibility in diagnosing complex PCBs with multiple failures, indicating the algorithm's potential to improve failure diagnosis performance and offer a promising PCB diagnosis solution in aerospace applications. Video deepfake detection has emerged as a critical field within the broader domain of digital technologies driven by the rapid proliferation of AI-generated media and the increasing threat of its misuse for deception and misinformation. The integration of Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) with Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) has proven to be a promising approach for improving video deepfake detection, achieving near-perfect accuracy. CNNs enable the effective extraction of spatial features from video frames, such as facial textures and lighting, while LSTM analyses temporal patterns, detecting inconsistencies over time. This hybrid model enhances the ability to detect deepfakes by combining spatial and temporal analysis. However, the existing research lacks systematic evaluations that comprehensively assess their effectiveness and optimal configurations. Therefore, this paper provides a comprehensive review of video deepfake detection techniques utilising hybrid CNN-LSTM models. It systematically investigates state-of-the-art techniques, highlighting common feature extraction approaches and widely used datasets for training and testing. This paper also evaluates model performance across different datasets, identifies key factors influencing detection accuracy, and explores how CNN-LSTM models can be optimised. It also compares CNN-LSTM models with non-LSTM approaches, addresses implementation challenges, and proposes solutions for them. Lastly, open issues and future research directions of video deepfake detection using CNN-LSTM will be discussed.
