Simple Summary: Predators drive prey trait diversification and promote ecological speciation. The impacts of predation are not only on the final state of antipredation traits, but also on the development of antipredation traits. Species of the dragonfly genus Leucorrhinia are distributed in both habitats dominated by predatory fish (fish lakes) and habitats dominated by predatory invertebrates (invertebrate lakes). In larval dragonflies, the spine is one of the most efficient traits deterring gape-limited fish predators. However, the spine is not useful in invertebrate lakes. In this study, we compared the developmental patterns of spines in both habitats. We constructed the scaling relationship between spine length and body size and compared the inflexion point on those curves in five species of Leucorrhinia dragonfly larvae. Here, we found that fish-lake Leucorrhinia species kept a higher spine growth rate than species from invertebrate lakes, and Leucorrhinia species from fish lakes displayed accelerated spine growth rate at larger body size compared to invertebrate-lake species. Our results highlight that development patterns, as well as the final states of antipredator traits, are essential to understanding predator–prey interactions. In larval dragonflies, abdominal spines are effective traits against predatory fish in fish lakes, which prefer larger prey. However, defensive spines increase mortality in habitats dominated by invertebrate predators (invertebrate lakes), which prefer smaller prey. Thus, species from fish lakes may accelerate spine growth at a later body size compared to species from invertebrate lakes when growing into the preferred prey size range of predatory fish. In this study, we constructed the allometric relationship between spine length and body size and compared the inflexion point of those growth curves in five species of Leucorrhinia dragonfly larvae. We found that fish-lake Leucorrhinia species accelerated spine growth at a larger body size than congenerics from invertebrate lakes. Further, rather than extending spine length constantly through development, fish-lake species rapidly accelerated spine growth at a larger body size. This is likely to be adaptive for avoiding invertebrate predation at an early life stage, which are also present in fish lakes, though in smaller numbers. The spatial-dependent-propagation (SDP) model with a nearby source works well to reproduce the coevolving features of both cosmic-ray (CR)-nuclei spectra and anisotropy. However, it is well known that the Sun is actually deviating from the galactic disk. This will lead to a dominating anisotropy in the direction perpendicular to the galactic disk, which is discrepant with current observations. Thus, it is necessary to further investigate the effect of the solar offset on anisotropy. In this work, to the best of our knowledge, this is the first time that the combined studies of the solar offset, nuclei spectra, and anisotropy have been performed based on the SDP model. As a result, to reproduce CR spectra and anisotropy, the thickness of the inner halo (Z I H) needs to increase linearly with the displacement of the Sun. We also know that the PeV anisotropy could be used to estimate the value of the diffusion coefficient, thus breaking the degeneracy between the diffusion coefficient and halo thickness. Therefore, it is a good approach to constrain the halo thickness. Moreover, the anisotropy in the PeV energy region, as a new probe, might also shed new light on constraining the solar offset. Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (IHCC) is the second most common malignant neoplasm of the liver. In spite of the increasing incidence worldwide, it is relatively rare in Western countries. IHCC is relatively common in Eastern and Southeastern Asia. Patients with IHCC are usually diagnosed at an advanced stage, therefore, the clinical outcome is dismal. Dysregulation of urea cycle metabolic enzyme expression is found in different types of cancers. Nevertheless, a comprehensive evaluation of genes related to the urea cycle (i.e., GO:0000050) has not been conducted in IHCC. By performing a comparative analysis of gene expression profiles, we specifically examined genes associated with the urea cycle (GO:0000050) in a publicly accessible transcriptomic dataset (GSE26566). Interestingly, CPS1 was identified as the second most prominently down-regulated gene in this context. Tumor tissues of 182 IHCC patients who underwent curative-intent hepatectomy were enrolled. The expression level of CPS1 protein in our IHCC cohort was assessed by immunohistochemical study. Subsequent to that, statistical analyses were carried out to examine the expression of CPS1 in relation to various clinicopathological factors, as well as to assess its impact on survival outcomes. We noticed that lower immunoreactivity of CPS1 in IHCC was associated with tumor progression (pT status) with statistical significance (p = 0.003). CPS1 underexpression was not only negatively correlated to overall survival (OS), disease-free survival (DFS), local recurrence-free survival (LRFS) and metastasis-free survival (MeFS) in univariate analysis but also an independent prognosticator to forecast poorer clinical outcome for all prognostic indices (OS, DFS, LRFS and MeFs) in patients with IHCC (all p ≤ 0.001). These results support that CPS1 may play a crucial role in IHCC oncogenesis and tumor progression and serve as a novel prognostic factor and a potential diagnostic and theranostic biomarker. This article explores complex-valued inertial neural networks (CVINNs) with distributed delays (DDs). By constructing two new feedback controllers, some novel results on fixed-time stabilization (FTS) and preassigned-time stabilization (PTS) of CVINNs are established. Unlike most of the previous works, FTS and PTS obtained here are explored without dividing the original complex-valued system into two separate real valued subsystems. Eventually, to verify the effectiveness and reliability of the results of this article, we provide several numerical examples. Prenylated flavonol glycosides in Epimedium plants, as key medicinal components, are known to have great pharmaceutical activities for human health. Among the main prenylated flavonol glycosides, the modification mechanism of different sugar moieties is still not well understood. In the current study, a novel prenylated flavonol rhamnoside xylosyltransferase gene (EpF3R2″XylT) was cloned from E. pubescens, and the enzymatic activity of its decoding proteins was examined in vitro with different prenylated flavonol rhamnoside substrates and different 3-O-monosaccharide moieties. Furthermore, the functional and structural domains of EpF3R2″XylT were analyzed by bioinformatic approaches and 3-D protein structure remodeling. In summary, EpF3R2″XylT was shown to cluster with GGT (glycosyltransferase that glycosylates sugar moieties of glycosides) through phylogenetic analysis. In enzymatic analysis, EpF3R2″XylT was proven to transfer xylose moiety from UDP-xylose to prenylated flavonol rhamnoside at the 2″-OH position of rhamnose. The analysis of enzymatic kinetics showed that EpF3R2″XylT had the highest substrate affinity toward icariin with the lowest Km value of 75.96 ± 11.91 mM. Transient expression of EpF3R2″XylT in tobacco leaf showed functional production of EpF3R2″XylT proteins in planta. EpF3R2″XylT was preferably expressed in the leaves of E. pubescens, which is consistent with the accumulation levels of major prenylflavonol 3-O-triglycoside. The n-type Ce:ZnO (NL) grown using a hydrothermal method was deposited on a p-type boron-doped nanoleaf diamond (BDD) film to fabricate an n-Ce:ZnO NL/p-BDD heterojunction. It shows a significant enhancement in photoluminescence (PL) intensity and a more pronounced blue shift of the UV emission peak (from 385 nm to 365 nm) compared with the undoped heterojunction (n-ZnO/p-BDD). The prepared heterojunction devices demonstrate good thermal stability and excellent rectification characteristics at different temperatures. As the temperature increases, the turn-on voltage and ideal factor (n) of the device gradually decrease. The epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) describes a biological process in which polarized epithelial cells are converted into highly motile mesenchymal cells. It promotes cancer cell dissemination, allowing them to form distal metastases, and also involves drug resistance in metastatic cancers. Transforming growth factor β (TGFβ) is a multifunctional cytokine that plays essential roles in development and carcinogenesis. It is a major inducer of the EMT. The MIR31 host gene (MIR31HG) is a newly identified long non-coding (lnc)RNA that exhibits ambiguous roles in cancer. In this study, a cancer genomics analysis predicted that MIR31HG overexpression was positively correlated with poorer disease-free survival of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) patients, which was associated with upregulation of genes related to TGFβ signaling and the EMT. In vitro evidence demonstrated that TGFβ induced MIR31HG expression in PDAC cells, and knockdown of MIR31HG expression reversed TGFβ-induced EMT phenotypes and cancer cell migration. The hydrothermal approach has been used to fabricate a heterojunction of n-aluminum-doped ZnO nanorods/p-B-doped diamond (n-Al:ZnO NRs/p-BDD). It exhibits a significant increase in photoluminescence (PL) intensity and a blue shift of the UV emission peak when compared to the n-ZnO NRs/p-BDD heterojunction. The current voltage (I-V) characteristics exhibit excellent rectifying behavior with a high rectification ratio of 838 at 5 V. The n-Al:ZnO NRs/p-BDD heterojunction shows a minimum turn-on voltage (0.27 V) and reverse leakage current (0.077 μA). The forward current of the n-Al:ZnO NRs/p-BDD heterojunction is more than 1300 times than that of the n-ZnO NRs/p-BDD heterojunction at 5 V. The ideality factor and the barrier height of the Al-doped device were found to decrease. The electrical transport behavior and carrier injection process of the n-Al:ZnO NRs/p-BDD heterojunction were analyzed through the equilibrium energy band diagrams and semiconductor theoretical models. Simple Summary: Ischnura senegalensis, a beneficial insect predator in the paddy fields, is perilously confronted with the survival challenges posed by insecticide application. In this study, we delved into the toxicity of indoxacarb on the larvae of I. senegalensis. Through behavioral experiments and transcriptome analyses, we uncovered that indoxacarb caused abnormal body movements and locomotory impairments, thereby posing a threat to larval survival. Notably, genes related to muscle function were significantly impacted. While lower concentrations of indoxacarb may be mitigated by the cytochrome P450 gene, higher concentrations significantly diminished the larvae's sensory abilities and hampered toxicity degradation. Our findings highlight the importance of meticulously considering the impact of insecticides on non-target predatory insects before their widespread application. Ischnura senegalensis, which widely spreads in paddy fields, has the potential to be used as a natural predator of insect pests. However, the application of insecticides in the field could pose a threat to the survival of I. senegalensis. Among these pesticides, indoxacarb, an oxadiazine insecticide, is renowned for its broad-spectrum efficacy against numerous insect pests. In this study, we examined the toxicity of indoxacarb towards the larvae of I. senegalensis. Behavioral experiments and transcriptome analyses were conducted under indoxacarb treatments. Results revealed that indoxacarb induced abnormal body gestures and significant locomotory impairments, which could ultimately reduce the survival rate of the larvae in their natural habitat. Moreover, transcriptome analyses indicated that genes related to muscle function were significantly affected. Interestingly, at lower concentrations of indoxacarb (0.004 mg/L), the larvae seem to detoxify the indoxacarb with the aid of the cytochrome P450 gene. However, under higher concentrations (0.4 mg/L), the sensory abilities of the larvae were significantly diminished, and they were unable to degrade the toxicity of indoxacarb. The management of chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) has seen significant progress with the introduction of tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), particularly Imatinib. However, a notable proportion of CML patients develop resistance to Imatinib, often due to the persistence of leukemia stem cells and resistance mechanisms independent of BCR::ABL1 This study investigates the roles of IL6R, IL7R, and MYC in Imatinib resistance by employing CRISPR/Cas9 for gene editing and the Non-Invasive Apoptosis Detection Sensor version 2 (NIADS v2) for apoptosis assessment. The results indicate that Imatinib-resistant K562 cells (K562-IR) predominantly express IL6R, IL7R, and MYC, with IL6R and MYC playing crucial roles in cell survival and sensitivity to Imatinib. Conversely, IL7R does not significantly impact cytotoxicity, either alone or in combination with Imatinib. Further genetic editing experiments confirm the protective functions of IL6R and MYC in K562-IR cells, suggesting their potential as therapeutic targets for overcoming Imatinib resistance in CML. This study contributes to understanding the mechanisms of Imatinib resistance in CML, proposing IL6R and MYC as pivotal targets for therapeutic strategies. In this paper, we present a novel automatic pipeline to build personalized parametric models of dynamic people using a single RGB camera. Compared to previous approaches that use monocular RGB images, our system can model a 3D human body automatically and incrementally, taking advantage of human motion. Based on coarse 2D and 3D poses estimated from image sequences, we first perform a kinematic classification of human body parts to refine the poses and obtain reconstructed body parts. Next, a personalized parametric human model is generated by driving a general template to fit the body parts and calculating the non-rigid deformation. Experimental results show that our shape estimation method achieves comparable accuracy with reconstructed models using depth cameras, yet requires neither user interaction nor any dedicated devices, leading to the feasibility of using this method on widely available smart phones. Accurate motion capture plays an important role in sports analysis, the medical field and virtual reality. Current methods for motion capture often suffer from occlusions, which limits the accuracy of their pose estimation. In this paper, we propose a complete system to measure the pose parameters of the human body accurately. Different from previous monocular depth camera systems, we leverage two Kinect sensors to acquire more information about human movements, which ensures that we can still get an accurate estimation even when significant occlusion occurs. Because human motion is temporally constant, we adopt a learning analysis to mine the temporal information across the posture variations. Using this information, we estimate human pose parameters accurately, regardless of rapid movement. Polyphonic sound event detection (SED) is the task of detecting the time stamps and the class of sound event that occurred during a recording. Real life sound events overlap in recordings, and their durations vary dramatically, making them even harder to recognize. In this paper, we propose Convolutional Recurrent Neural Networks (CRNNs) to extract hidden state feature representations; then, a self-attention mechanism using a symmetric score function is introduced to memorize long-range dependencies of features that the CRNNs extract. Furthermore, we propose to use memory-controlled self-attention to explicitly compute the relations between time steps in audio representation embedding. Then, we propose a strategy for adaptive memory-controlled self-attention mechanisms. Moreover, we applied semi-supervised learning, namely, mean teacher–student methods, to exploit unlabeled audio data. The proposed methods all performed well in the Detection and Classification of Acoustic Scenes and Events (DCASE) 2017 Sound Event Detection in Real Life Audio (task3) test and the DCASE 2021 Sound Event Detection and Separation in Domestic Environments (task4) test. In DCASE 2017 task3, our model surpassed the challenge's winning system's F1-score by 6.8%. We show that the proposed adaptive memory-controlled model reached the same performance level as a fixed attention width model. Experimental results indicate that the proposed attention mechanism is able to improve sound event detection. In DCASE 2021 task4, we investigated various pooling strategies in two scenarios. In addition, we found that in weakly labeled semi-supervised sound event detection, building an attention layer on top of the CRNN is needless repetition. Non-contact human body measurement plays an important role in surveillance, physical healthcare, on-line business and virtual fitting. Current methods for measuring the human body without physical contact usually cannot handle humans wearing clothes, which limits their applicability in public environments. In this paper, we propose an effective solution that can measure accurate parameters of the human body with large-scale motion from a Kinect sensor, assuming that the people are wearing clothes. Because motion can drive clothes attached to the human body loosely or tightly, we adopt a space-time analysis to mine the information across the posture variations. Using this information, we recover the human body, regardless of the effect of clothes, and measure the human body parameters accurately. The Yellow River Delta (YRD), known for its vast and diverse wetland ecosystem, is the largest estuarine delta in China. However, human activities and climate change have significantly degraded the wetland ecosystem in recent decades in the YRD. Therefore, an understanding of the land use modifications is essential for the efficient management and preservation of ecosystems in this region. This study utilized time series of remote sensing data and the extreme gradient boosting method to generate land use maps of the YRD from 2000 to 2020. Several methods, including transition matrix, land use dynamic degree, and standard deviation ellipse, were employed to explore the characteristics of land use transitions. The results underscore significant spatial variations in land use over the past two decades. The most rapid increase was observed in built-up area, followed by terrestrial water and tidal flats, while unutilized land experienced the fastest decrease, followed by forest–grassland. The spatial distribution patterns of agricultural land, built-up area, terrestrial water, and forest–grassland demonstrated stronger directionality compared to other land use types. The wetlands have expanded in size and improved in structure. Unutilized land has been converted into artificial wetlands comprising ponds, reservoirs, salt ponds, shrimp and crab ponds, and natural wetlands featuring mudflats and forest–grassland. The wetland conservation efforts after 2008 have proven very effective, playing a positive role in ecological and environmental preservation, as well as in regional sustainable development. Intensity value based point cloud segmentation has received less attention because the intensity value of the terrestrial laser scanner is usually altered by receiving optics/hardware or the internal propriety software, which is unavailable to the end user. We offer a solution by assuming the terrestrial laser scanners are stable and the behavior of the intensity value can be characterized. Then, it is possible to use the intensity value for segmentation by observing its behavior, i.e., intensity value variation, pattern and presence of location of intensity values, etc. In this study, experiment results for characterizing the intensity data of planar surfaces collected by ILRIS3D, a terrestrial laser scanner, are reported. Two intensity formats, grey and raw, are employed by ILRIS3D. It is found from the experiment results that the grey intensity has less variation; hence it is preferable for point cloud segmentation. A warm-up time of approximate 1.5 hours is suggested for more stable intensity data. A segmentation method based on the visual cues of the intensity images sequence, which contains consecutive intensity images, is proposed in order to segment the 3D laser points of ILRIS3D. Syncytium formation, i.e., cell–cell fusion resulting in the formation of multinucleated cells, is a hallmark of infection by paramyxoviruses and other pathogenic viruses. This natural mechanism has historically been a diagnostic marker for paramyxovirus infection in vivo and is now widely used for the study of virus-induced membrane fusion in vitro. However, the role of syncytium formation in within-host dissemination and pathogenicity of viruses remains poorly understood. The diversity of henipaviruses and their wide host range and tissue tropism make them particularly appropriate models with which to characterize the drivers of syncytium formation and the implications for virus fitness and pathogenicity. Based on the henipavirus literature, we summarized current knowledge on the mechanisms driving syncytium formation, mostly acquired from in vitro studies, and on the in vivo distribution of syncytia. While these data suggest that syncytium formation widely occurs across henipaviruses, hosts, and tissues, we identified important data gaps that undermined our understanding of the role of syncytium formation in virus pathogenesis. Based on these observations, we propose solutions of varying complexity to fill these data gaps, from better practices in data archiving and publication for in vivo studies, to experimental approaches in vitro. Tungsten oxide (WO3) is a wide band gap semiconductor with unintentionally n-doping performance, excellent conductivity, and high electron hall mobility, which is considered as a candidate material for application in optoelectronics. Several reviews on WO3 and its derivatives for various applications dealing with electrochemical, photoelectrochemical, hybrid photocatalysts, electrochemical energy storage, and gas sensors have appeared recently. Moreover, the nanostructured transition metal oxides have attracted considerable attention in the past decade because of their unique chemical, photochromic, and physical properties leading to numerous other potential applications. Owing to their distinctive photoluminescence (PL), electrochromic and electrical properties, WO3 nanostructure-based optical and electronic devices application have attracted a wide range of research interests. This review mainly focuses on the up-to-date progress in different advanced strategies from fundamental analysis to improve WO3 optoelectric, electrochromic, and photochromic properties in the development of tungsten oxide-based advanced devices for optical and electronic applications including photodetectors, light-emitting diodes (LED), PL properties, electrical properties, and optical information storage. This review on the prior findings of WO3-related optical and electrical devices, as well as concluding remarks and forecasts will help researchers to advance the field of optoelectric applications of nanostructured transition metal oxides. The avascular structure and lack of regenerative cells make the repair of osteochondral defects in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) highly challenging in the clinic. To provide a viable treatment option, we developed a methacrylated gelatin (Gel-MA) hydrogel functionalized with human salivary histatin-1 (Hst1). Gel-MA is highly biocompatible, biodegradable, and cost-effective. Hst1 is capable of activating a series of cell activities, such as adhesion, migration, differentiation, and angiogenesis. To evaluate the efficacy of Hst1/Gel-MA, critical-size osteochondral defects (3 mm in diameter and 3 mm in depth) of TMJ in New Zealand white rabbits were surgically created and randomly assigned to one of the three treatment groups: (1) control (no filling material); (2) Gel-MA hydrogel; (3) Hst1/Gel-MA hydrogel. Samples were retrieved 1, 2, and 4 weeks post-surgery and subjected to gross examination and a series of histomorphometric and immunological analyses. In comparison with the control and Gel-MA alone groups, Hst1/Gel-MA hydrogel was associated with significantly higher International Cartilage Repair Society score, modified O'Driscoll score, area percentages of newly formed bone, cartilage, collagen fiber, and glycosaminoglycan, and expression of collagen II and aggrecan. Gouty arthritis is the most common form of inflammatory arthritis and flares frequently after surgeries. Such flares impede early patient mobilization and lengthen hospital stays; however, little has been reported on gout flares after spinal procedures. This study reviewed a database of 6439 adult patients who underwent thoracolumbar spine surgery between January 2009 and June 2021, and 128 patients who had a history of gouty arthritis were included. Baseline characteristics and operative details were compared between the flare-up and no-flare groups. Multivariate logistic regression was used to analyze predictors and construct a predictive model of postoperative flares. This model was validated using a receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis. Fifty-six patients (43.8%) had postsurgical gout flares. Multivariate analysis identified gout medication use (odds ratio [OR], 0.32; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.14–0.75; p = 0.009), smoking (OR, 3.23; 95% CI, 1.34–7.80; p = 0.009), preoperative hemoglobin level (OR, 0.68; 95% CI, 0.53–0.87; p = 0.002), and hemoglobin drop (OR, 1.93; 95% CI, 1.25–2.96; p = 0.003) as predictors for postsurgical flare. The area under the ROC curve was 0.801 (95% CI, 0.717–0.877; p < 0.001). The optimal cut-off point of probability greater than 0.453 predicted gout flare with a sensitivity of 76.8% and specificity of 73.2%. Autonomous vehicles require fleet-wide data collection for continuous algorithm development and validation. The smart black box (SBB) intelligent event data recorder has been proposed as a system for prioritized high-bandwidth data capture. This paper extends the SBB by applying anomaly detection and action detection methods for generalized event-of-interest (EOI) detection. An updated SBB pipeline is proposed for the real-time capture of driving video data. A video dataset is constructed to evaluate the SBB on real-world data for the first time. SBB performance is assessed by comparing the compression of normal and anomalous data and by comparing our prioritized data recording with an FIFO strategy. The results show that SBB data compression can increase the anomalous-to-normal memory ratio by ∼25%, while the prioritized recording strategy increases the anomalous-to-normal count ratio when compared to an FIFO strategy. We compare the real-world dataset SBB results to a baseline SBB given ground-truth anomaly labels and conclude that improved general EOI detection methods will greatly improve SBB performance. This review is mainly focused on the optoelectronic properties of diamond-based one-dimensional-metal-oxide heterojunction. First, we briefly introduce the research progress on one-dimensional (1D)-metal-oxide heterojunctions and the features of the p-type boron-doped diamond (BDD) film; then, we discuss the use of three oxide types (ZnO, TiO2 and WO3) in diamond-based-1D-metal-oxide heterojunctions, including fabrication, epitaxial growth, photocatalytic properties, electrical transport behavior and negative differential resistance behavior, especially at higher temperatures. Finally, we discuss the challenges and future trends in this research area. The discussed results of about 10 years' research on high-performance diamond-based heterojunctions will contribute to the further development of photoelectric nano-devices for high-temperature and high-power applications. Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is still one of the most aggressive and lethal cancer types due to the late diagnosis, high metastatic potential, and drug resistance. The development of novel therapeutic strategies is urgently needed. KRAS (Kirsten rat sarcoma 2 viral oncogene homolog) is the major driver mutation gene for PDAC tumorigenesis. In this study, we mined cancer genomics data and identified a common KRAS-driven gene signature in PDAC, which is related to cell–cell and cell–extracellular matrix (ECM) interactions. Higher expression of this gene signature was associated with poorer overall survival of PDAC patients. Connectivity Map (CMap) analysis and drug sensitivity profiling predicted that a clinically approved JAK2 (Janus kinase 2)-selective inhibitor, fedratinib (also known as TG-101348), could reverse the KRAS-driven gene signature and exhibit KRAS-dependent anticancer activity in PDAC cells. As an approved treatment for myelofibrosis, the pharmacological and toxicological profiles of fedratinib have been well characterized. Chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) is the most common type of leukemia in adults, and more than 90% of CML patients harbor the abnormal Philadelphia chromosome (Ph) that encodes the BCR-ABL oncoprotein. Although the ABL kinase inhibitor (imatinib) has proven to be very effective in achieving high remission rates and improving prognosis, up to 33% of CML patients still cannot achieve an optimal response. Here, we used CRISPR/Cas9 to specifically target the BCR-ABL junction region in K562 cells, resulting in the inhibition of cancer cell growth and oncogenesis. Due to the variety of BCR-ABL junctions in CML patients, we utilized gene editing of the human ABL gene for clinical applications. Using the ABL gene-edited virus in K562 cells, we detected 41.2% indels in ABL sgRNA_2-infected cells. The ABL-edited cells reveled significant suppression of BCR-ABL protein expression and downstream signals, inhibiting cell growth and increasing cell apoptosis. Next, we introduced the ABL gene-edited virus into a systemic K562 leukemia xenograft mouse model, and bioluminescence imaging of the mice showed a significant reduction in the leukemia cell population in ABL-targeted mice, compared to the scramble sgRNA virus-injected mice. In CML cells from clinical samples, infection with the ABL gene-edited virus resulted in more than 30.9% indels and significant cancer cell death. Notably, no off-target effects or bone marrow cell suppression was found using the ABL gene-edited virus, ensuring both user safety and treatment efficacy. This study demonstrated the critical role of the ABL gene in maintaining CML cell survival and tumorigenicity in vitro and in vivo. Immunogenic cell death (ICD) refers to a unique form of cell death that activates an adaptive immune response against dead-cell-associated antigens. Accumulating evidence indicates that the efficacy of conventional anticancer agents relies on not only their direct cytostatic/cytotoxic effects but also the activation of antitumor ICD. Common anticancer ICD inducers include certain chemotherapeutic agents (such as anthracyclines, oxaliplatin, and bortezomib), radiotherapy, photodynamic therapy (PDT), and oncolytic virotherapies. However, most chemotherapeutic reagents are inefficient or fail to trigger ICD. Therefore, better understanding on the molecular determinants of chemotherapy-induced ICD will help in the development of more efficient combinational anticancer strategies through converting non- or relatively weak ICD inducers into bona fide ICD inducers. In this study, we found that sequential, but not concurrent, treatment of cancer cells with interferon β (IFNβ), a type I IFN, and cisplatin (an inefficient ICD inducer) can enhance the expression of ICD biomarkers in cancer cells, including surface translocation of an endoplasmic reticulum (ER) chaperone, calreticulin (CRT), and phosphorylation of the eukaryotic translation initiation factor alpha (eIF2α). These results suggest that exogenous IFNβ may activate molecular determinants that convert cisplatin into an ICD inducer. Further bioinformatics and in vitro experimental analyses found that interferon regulatory factor 1 (IRF1) acted as an essential mediator of surface CRT exposure by sequential IFNβ-cisplatin combination. Our findings not only help to design more effective combinational anticancer therapy using IFNβ and cisplatin, but also provide a novel insight into the role of IRF1 in connecting the type I IFN responses and ICD. Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is the most common and aggressive type of pancreatic cancer. The five-year survival rate of PDAC is very low (less than 8%), which is associated with the late diagnosis, high metastatic potential, and resistance to therapeutic agents. The identification of better prognostic or therapeutic biomarker may have clinical benefits for PDAC treatment. SMAD4, a central mediator of transforming growth factor beta (TGFβ) signaling pathway, is considered a tumor suppressor gene. SMAD4 inactivation is frequently found in PDAC. However, its role in prognosis and therapeutics of PDAC is still unclear. In this study, we applied bioinformatics approaches, and integrated publicly available resources, to investigate the role of SMAD4 gene deletion in PDAC. We found that SMAD4 deletion was associated with poorer disease-free, but not overall, survival in PDAC patients. Cancer hallmark enrichment and pathway analysis suggested that the upregulation of cell cycle-related genes in SMAD4-deleted PDAC. Chemotherapy response profiling of PDAC cell lines and patient-derived organoids revealed that SMAD4-deleted PDAC was sensitive to gemcitabine, the first-line treatment for PDAC, and specific cell cycle-targeting drugs. Taken together, our study provides an insight into the prognostic and therapeutic roles of SMAD4 gene deletion in PDAC, and SMAD4 gene copy numbers may be used as a therapeutic biomarker for PDAC treatment. Although chemotherapy for treating colorectal cancer has had some success, drug resistance and metastasis remain the major causes of death for colorectal cancer patients. MicroRNA-21-5p (hereafter denoted as miR-21) is one of the most abundant miRNAs in human colorectal cancer. A Kaplan–Meier survival analysis found a negative prognostic correlation of miR-21 and metastasis-free survival in colorectal cancer patients (The Cancer Genome Atlas Colon Adenocarcinoma/TCGA-COAD cohort). To explore the role of miR-21 overexpression in drug resistance, a stable miR-21-overexpressing clone in a human DLD-1 colorectal cancer cell line was established. The 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide (MTT) cell viability assay found that miR-21 overexpression induced drug resistance to topoisomerase inhibitors (SN-38, doxorubicin, and etoposide/VP-16). Mechanistically, we showed that miR-21 overexpression reduced VP-16-induced apoptosis and concomitantly enhanced pro-survival autophagic flux without the alteration of topoisomerase expression and activity. Bioinformatics analyses suggested that miR-21 overexpression induced genetic reprogramming that mimicked the gene signature of topoisomerase inhibitors and downregulated genes related to the proteasome pathway. In many wireless sensors, the target kinematic states include location and Doppler information that can be observed from a time series of range and velocity measurements. In this work, we present a tracking strategy for comprising target velocity components as part of the measurement supplement procedure and evaluate the advantages of the proposed scheme. Data association capability can be considered as the key performance for multi-target tracking in an active sonar system. Then, we proposed an enhanced Doppler data association (DDA) scheme which exploits target range and target velocity components for linear multi-target tracking. If the target velocity measurements are not incorporated into target kinematic state tracking, the linear filter bank for the combination of target velocity components can be implemented. Finally, a significant enhancement in the multi-target tracking capability provided by the proposed DDA scheme with the linear multi-target combined probabilistic data association method is demonstrated in a sonar underwater scenario. The metabolic and pharmacokinetic studies on complanatuside, a quality marker of a Chinese materia medicatonic, Semen Astragali Complanati, were carried out. The UHPLC-Q-TOF/MS (ultra-high performance liquid chromatography coupled with electrospray ionization tandem quadrupole-time-of-flight mass spectrometry) method was applied to identify the metabolites of complanatuside in rat plasma, bile, stool, and urine after oral administration at the dosage of 72 mg/kg. Up to 34 metabolites (parent, 2 metabolites of the parent drug, and 31 metabolites of the degradation products) were observed, including processes of demethylation, hydroxylation, glucuronidation, sulfonation, and dehydration. The results indicated glucuronidation and sulfonation as major metabolic pathways of complanatuside in vivo. Meanwhile, a HPLC-MS method to quantify complanatuside and its two major metabolites—rhamnocitrin 3-O-β-glc and rhamnocitrin—in rat plasma for the pharmacokinetic analysis was developed and validated. The Tmax (time to reach the maximum drug concentration) of the above three compounds were 1 h, 3 h, and 5.3 h, respectively, while the Cmax (maximum plasma concentrations)were 119.15 ng/mL, 111.64 ng/mL, and 1122.18 ng/mL, and AUC(0-t) (area under the plasma concentration-time curve) was 143.52 µg/L·h, 381.73 µg/L·h, and 6540.14 µg/L·h, accordingly. The pharmacokinetic characteristics of complanatuside and its two metabolites suggested that complanatuside rapidly metabolized in vivo, while its metabolites—rhamnocitrin—was the main existent form in rat plasma after oral administration. A new strategy to optimizing the waveforms of cognitive radar under transmitted power constraint is presented. Our scheme is to enhance the performance of target estimation by minimizing the MSE (mean-square error) of the estimates of target scattering coefficients (TSC) based on Kalman filtering and then minimizing mutual information (MI) between the radar target echoes at successive time instants. The two steps are the optimal design of transmission waveform and the selection of a reasonable waveform from the ensemble for emission, respectively. The waveform design technique addresses the problems of target detection and parameter estimation in intelligent transportation system (ITS), where there is a need of extracting the features of target information obtained from different sensors. As the number of iterations increases, simulation results show better TSC estimation from the radar scene provided by the proposed approach as compared with the traditional waveform optimization algorithm. The design of earth-abundant and highly efficient bifunctional electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution and oxygen evolution reactions (HER/OER) is crucial for hydrogen production through overall water splitting. Herein, we report a novel nanostructure consisting of vertically oriented CoP hierarchical nanosheet arrays with in situ-assembled carbon skeletons on a Ti foil electrode. The novel Zeolitic Imidazolate Framework-67 (ZIF-67) template-derived hierarchical nanosheet architecture effectively improved electrical conductivity, facilitated electrolyte transport, and increased the exposure of the active sites. The obtained bifunctional hybrid exhibited a low overpotential of 72 mV at 10 mA cm−2 and a small Tafel slope of 65 mV dec−1 for HER, and an improved overpotential of 329 mV and a Tafel slope of 107 mV dec−1 for OER. Furthermore, the assembled C@CoP||C@CoP electrolyzer showed excellent overall water splitting performance (1.63 V) at a current density of 10 mA cm−2 and superior durability. Various plant species contain terpene secondary metabolites, which disrupt insect growth and development by affecting the activity of juvenile hormone-degrading enzymes, and the juvenile hormone (JH) titers maintained in insects. Nerolidol, a natural sesquiterpenol belonging to the terpenoid group, exhibits structural similarities to insect JHs. However, the impact of nerolidol on insect growth and development, as well as its underlying molecular mechanism, remains unclear. Here, the effects of nerolidol on Spodoptera exigua were investigated under treatment at various sub-lethal doses (4.0 mg/mL, 1.0 mg/mL, 0.25 mg/mL). We found that a higher dose (4.0 mg/mL) of nerolidol significantly impaired the normal growth, development, and population reproduction of S. exigua, although a relatively lower dose (0.25 mg/mL) of nerolidol had no significant effect on this growth and development. Combined transcriptome sequencing and gene family analysis further revealed that four juvenile hormone esterase (JHE)-family genes that are involved in juvenile hormone degradation were significantly altered in S. exigua larvae after nerolidol treatment (4.0 mg/mL). Interestingly, the juvenile hormone esterase-like (JHEL) gene Sexi006721, a critical element responsive to nerolidol stress, was closely linked with the significant augmentation of JHE activity and JH titer in S. exigua (R2 = 0.94, p < 0.01). Taken together, we speculate that nerolidol can function as an analog of JH by modulating the expression of the enzyme genes responsible for degrading JH, resulting in JH disorders and ultimately disrupting the development of insect larvae. Nowcasting has emerged as a critical foundation for services including heavy rain alerts and public transportation management. Although widely used for short-term forecasting, models such as TrajGRU and PredRNN exhibit limitations in predicting low-intensity rainfall and low temporal resolution, resulting in suboptimal performance during infrequent heavy rainfall events. To tackle these challenges, we introduce a spatio-temporal sequence and generative adversarial network model for short-term precipitation forecasting based on radar data. By enhancing the ConvLSTM model with a pre-trained TransGAN generator, we improve feature resolution. We first assessed the model's performance on the Moving MNIST dataset and subsequently validated it on the HKO-7 dataset. Employing metrics such as Mean Squared Error (MSE), Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Structural Similarity Index Measure (SSIM), Critical Success Index (CSI), Probability of Detection (POD), and False Alarm Ratio (FAR), we compare our model's performance to existing models. The system architecture for an adaptive multiple input multiple output (MIMO) radar-communication transceiver is proposed. A waveform design approach for communication data embedding into MIMO radar pulse using M-ary position phase shift keying (MPPSK) waveforms is introduced. A waveform optimization algorithm for the adaptive system is presented. The algorithm aims to improve the target detection performance by maximizing the relative entropy (RE) between the distributions under existence and absence of the target, and minimizing the mutual information (MI) between the current received signals and the estimated signals in the next time instant. The proposed system adapts its MPPSK modulated inter-pulse duration to suit the time-varying environment. With subsequent iterations of the algorithm, simulation results show an improvement in target impulse response (TIR) estimation and target detection probability. A new scheme based on Kalman filtering to optimize the waveforms of an adaptive multi-antenna radar system for target impulse response (TIR) estimation is presented. This work aims to improve the performance of TIR estimation by making use of the temporal correlation between successive received signals, and minimize the mean square error (MSE) of TIR estimation. The waveform design approach is based upon constant learning from the target feature at the receiver. Under the multiple antennas scenario, a dynamic feedback loop control system is established to real-time monitor the change in the target features extracted form received signals. The transmitter adapts its transmitted waveform to suit the time-invariant environment. Finally, the simulation results show that, as compared with the waveform design method based on the MAP criterion, the proposed waveform design algorithm is able to improve the performance of TIR estimation for extended targets with multiple iterations, and has a relatively lower level of complexity. Nanodiamonds (NDs) are emerging as a promising candidate for multimodal bioimaging on account of their optical and spectroscopic properties. NDs are extensively utilized for bioimaging probes due to their defects and admixtures in their crystal lattice. There are many optically active defects presented in NDs called color centers, which are highly photostable, extremely sensitive to bioimaging, and capable of electron leap in the forbidden band; further, they absorb or emit light when leaping, enabling the nanodiamond to fluoresce. Fluorescent imaging plays a significant role in bioscience research, but traditional fluorescent dyes have some drawbacks in physical, optical and toxicity aspects. As a novel fluorescent labeling tool, NDs have become the focus of research in the field of biomarkers in recent years because of their various irreplaceable advantages. This review primarily focuses on the recent application progress of nanodiamonds in the field of bioimaging. In this paper, we will summarize the progress of ND research from the following aspects (including fluorescence imaging, Raman imaging, X-ray imaging, magnetic modulation fluorescence imaging, magnetic resonance imaging, cathodoluminescence imaging, and optical coherence tomography imaging) and expect to supply an outlook contribution for future nanodiamond exploration in bioimaging. Millimeter-wave-based extended target tracking has attracted extensive interest recently because of its privacy, high precision, and low cost. This paper concentrated on crowded indoor situations and presents a novel method for group tracking. First, the proposed alpha-extended Kalman filter and the group association were carried out, which can constantly estimate the target expansion and the number of reflection points, consequently modifying the measurement noise and covariance estimation. Then, to initialize the actual targets, we employed a density-based spatial clustering approach that includes false target suppression. After the targets have been updated, the track re-association and estimation procedure is conducted to account for the unanticipated break of moving and near-static targets. Finally, various experiments involving fewer than 11 participants were designed to assess the robustness of the method. Background: Exercise-induced gastrointestinal syndrome (GIS) has symptoms commonly induced by strenuous sports. The study aimed to determine the effect of dihydromyricetin (DHM) administration on high-intensity exercise (HIE)-induced intestinal barrier dysfunction and the underlying mechanism involved with intestinal intraepithelial lymphocytes (IELs). Methods: The HIE model was established with male C57BL/6 mice using a motorized treadmill for 2 weeks, and DHM was given once a day by oral gavage. After being sacrificed, the small intestines of the mice were removed immediately. Results: We found that DHM administration significantly suppressed HIE-induced intestinal inflammation, improved intestinal barrier integrity, and inhibited a HIE-induced increase in the number of IELs and the frequency of CD8αα+ IELs. Meanwhile, several markers associated with the activation, gut homing and immune functions of CD8αα+ IELs were regulated by DHM. Mechanistically, luciferase reporter assay and molecular docking assay showed DHM could activate the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR). Conclusions: These data indicate that DHM exerts a preventive effect against HIE-induced intestinal barrier dysfunction, which is associated with the modulation of the quantity and phenotype of IELs in the small intestine. piRNAs play pivotal roles in maintaining genome stability, regulating gene expression, and modulating development and immunity. However, there are few piRNA-associated studies on honey-bees, and the regulatory role of piRNAs in the development of bee guts is largely unknown. Here, the differential expression pattern of piRNAs during the developmental process of the European honey-bee (Apis mellifera) larval guts was analyzed, followed by investigation of the regulatory network and the potential function of differentially expressed piRNAs (DEpiRNAs) in regulating gut development. A total of 843 piRNAs were identified in the larval guts of A. mellifera; among these, 764 piRNAs were shared by 4- (Am4 group), 5- (Am5 group), and 6-day-old (Am6 group) larval guts, while 11, 67, and one, respectively, were unique. The first base of piRNAs in each group had a cytosine (C) bias. Additionally, 61 up-regulated and 17 down-regulated piRNAs were identified in the "Am4 vs. Am5" comparison group, further targeting 9, 983 genes, which were involved in 50 GO terms and 142 pathways, while two up-regulated and five down-regulated piRNAs were detected in the "Am5 vs. Am6" comparison group, further targeting 1, 936 genes, which were engaged in 41 functional terms and 101 pathways. piR-ame-742536 and piR-ame-856650 in the "Am4 vs. Am5" comparison group as well as piR-ame-592661 and piR-ame-31653 in the "Am5 vs. Am6" comparison group were found to link to the highest number of targets. Further analysis indicated that targets of DEpiRNAs in these two comparison groups putatively regulate seven development-associated signaling pathways, seven immune-associated pathways, and three energy metabolism pathways. Moreover, the expression trends of five randomly selected DEpiRNAs were verified based on stem-loop RT-PCR and RT-qPCR. These results were suggestive of the overall alteration of piRNAs during the larval developmental process and demonstrated that DEpiRNAs potentially modulate development-, immune-, and energy metabolism-associated pathways by regulating the expression of corresponding genes via target binding, further affecting the development of A. mellifera larval guts. To adapt to their habitats and feeding host plants, the larvae utilize uridine diphosphate (UDP)-glycosyltransferases (UGTs) to metabolize plant defensive compounds and insecticides. However, information on the UGT gene family in Achelura yunnanensis remains scarce. Here, we characterized the UGT genes through gene identification, phylogenic analyses, and comprehensive expression profiles regarding sexes, tissues, and stages. Transcriptome analyses led to the yields of 50 transcripts encoding UGTs in A. yunnanensis, representing a comparable gene number compared to those in other lepidopteran species. Sequence and phylogenetic analyses revealed a low amino acid identity of 28.23% among 31 full-length AyunUGTs, but some members shared relatively high conservation (>50% identities) with a phylogenetically clustered distribution. In addition, the majority of AyunUGTs possessed conserved residues involved in the catalysis and sugar-donor binding. Combining RNA sequencing and PCR approaches, a number of AyunUGTs were found to have the expression in chemosensory or detoxification tissues, possibly associated with the sensing of odorant molecules and the metabolism of toxic chemicals. More importantly, at least 27 AyunUGTs displayed detectable expression in reproductive tissues of both sexes. This study identifies candidate A. yunnanensis UGTs responsible for detoxification, olfaction, and reproduction, allowing us to address putative roles of UGTs in the adaptation of larvae to the habitats and feeding hosts. Simple Summary: Positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) with prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-specific tracers is gaining traction for prostate cancer imaging. The aim of this pilot study was to evaluate PSMA PET/CT imaging response in 30 patients who had undergone three months of androgen deprivation therapy (ADT). Different imaging indices and the modified PET response criteria in solid tumors 1.0 served as outcome measures. Most patients showed a consistent reduction of PSMA PET/CT indices over three months. A total of 24 (80%) participants were partial responders. Patients in the International Society of Urological Pathology grade group 5 (n = 16) showed a less prominent reduction of the imaging indices, and none of them reached a complete response. Collectively, our data support the clinical usefulness of PSMA PET/CT imaging for monitoring treatment response after the first three months of ADT. Purpose: The purpose of this pilot prospective study is to examine the gallium-68-prostate-specific membrane antigen-11 ([68Ga]Ga-PSMA-11) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) imaging response in patients with advanced or metastatic hormone-naïve prostate cancer (PC) after 3 months of androgen deprivation therapy (ADT). Methods: We prospectively included men with untreated, clinical stage III or IV PC scheduled to receive ADT for at least 6 months. [68Ga]Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT images were obtained before the start of ADT and 10–14 weeks thereafter. The following indices were examined: maximum standardized uptake value (SUVmax), mean SUV, PSMA total volume, and PSMA total lesion values of the prostate, nodes, bones, and whole-body. The therapeutic response was assessed using the modified PET response criteria in solid tumors 1.0. A subgroup analysis of patients with the International Society of Urological Pathology (ISUP) grade group 5 versus <5 was also performed. Results: A total of 30 patients were eligible. All PSMA PET/CT indices were significantly reduced (p < 0.001) after 3 months of ADT. Twenty-four (80%) patients showed partial response. Complete response, stable disease, and disease progression were observed in two patients each. Sixteen patients with ISUP grade group 5 showed a less prominent SUVmax reduction (p = 0.006), and none of them reached complete response. Conclusions: Three months of ADT in patients with untreated, advanced PC significantly reduced PSMA PET/CT indices. While most participants partially responded to ADT, patients with ISUP grade group 5 showed a less prominent SUVmax reduction. Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) and AgNO3/PVDF composite piezoelectric fibers were prepared using near-field electrospinning technology. The prepared fibers are attached to the electrode sheet and encapsulated with polydimethylsiloxane to create an energy acquisition device and further fabricated into a dynamic sensing element. The addition of AgNO3 significantly increased the conductivity of the solution from 40.33 μS/cm to 883.59 μS/cm, which in turn made the fiber drawing condition smoother with the increase of high voltage electric field and reduced the fiber wire diameter size from 0.37 μm to 0.23 μm. The tapping test shows that the voltage signal can reach ~0.9 V at a frequency of 7 Hz, and the energy conversion efficiency is twice that of the PVDF output voltage. The addition of AgNO3 effectively enhances the molecular bonding ability, which effectively increases the piezoelectric constants of PVDF piezoelectric fibers. When the human body is exercised for a long period of time and the body is overloaded, the biceps muscle is found to produce 8 to 16 tremors/second through five arm flexion movements. The voltage output of the flexible dynamic soft sensor is between 0.7–0.9 V and shows an orderly alternating current waveform of voltage signals. The sensor can be used to detect muscle tremors after high-intensity training and to obtain advance information about changes in the symptoms of fasciculation, allowing for more accurate diagnosis and treatment. This paper focuses on developing a novel technique based on machine vision for detection of foreign substances in injections. Mechanical control yields spin/stop movement of injections which helps to cause relative movement between foreign substances in liquid and an ampoule bottle. Foreign substances are classified into two categories: subsiding-slowly object and subsiding-fast object. A sequence of frames are captured by a camera and used to recognize foreign substances. After image preprocessing like noise reduction and motion detection, two different methods, Moving-object Clustering (MC) and Frame Difference, are proposed to detect the two categories respectively. MC is operated to cluster subsiding-slowly foreign substances, based on the invariant features of those objects. Frame Difference is defined to calculate the difference between two frames due to the change of subsiding-fast objects. 200 ampoule samples filled with injection are tested and the experimental result indicates that the approach can detect the visible foreign substances effectively. Due to its portability, convenience, and low cost, incompletely closed near-infrared (ICNIR) imaging equipment (mixed light reflection imaging) is used for ultra thin sensor modules and have good application prospects. However, equipment with incompletely closed structure also brings some problems. Some finger vein images are not clear and there are sparse or even missing veins, which results in poor recognition performance. For these poor quality ICNIR images, however, there is additional fingerprint information in the image. The analysis of ICNIR images reveals that the fingerprint and finger vein in a single ICNIR image can be enhanced and separated. We propose a feature-level fusion recognition algorithm using a single ICNIR finger image. Firstly, we propose contrast limited adaptive histogram equalization (CLAHE) and grayscale normalization to enhance fingerprint and finger vein texture, respectively. Then we propose an adaptive radius local binary pattern (ADLBP) feature combined with uniform pattern to extract the features of fingerprint and finger vein. It solves the problem that traditional local binary pattern (LBP) is unable to describe the texture features of different sizes in ICNIR images. Finally, we fuse the feature vectors of ADLBP block histogram for a fingerprint and finger vein, and realize feature-layer fusion recognition by a threshold decision support vector machine (T-SVM). Since imatinib (Glivec or Gleevec) has been used to target the BCR-ABL fusion protein, chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) has become a manageable chronic disease with long-term survival. However, 15%–20% of CML patients ultimately develop resistance to imatinib and then progress to an accelerated phase and eventually to a blast crisis, limiting treatment options and resulting in a poor survival rate. Thus, we investigated whether histone deacetylase inhibitors (HDACis) could be used as a potential anticancer therapy for imatinib-resistant CML (IR-CML) patients. By applying a noninvasive apoptosis detection sensor (NIADS), we found that panobinostat significantly enhanced cell apoptosis in K562 cells. A further investigation showed that panobinostat induced apoptosis in both K562 and imatinib-resistant K562 (IR-K562) cells mainly via H3 and H4 histone acetylation, whereas panobinostat targeted cancer stem cells (CSCs) in IR-K562 cells. Using CRISPR/Cas9 genomic editing, we found that HDAC1 and HDAC2 knockout cells significantly induced cell apoptosis, indicating that the regulation of HDAC1 and HDAC2 is extremely important in maintaining K562 cell survival. Mechanochromic materials have recently received tremendous attention because of their potential applications in humanoid robots, smart windows, strain sensors, anti-counterfeit tags, etc. However, improvements in device design are highly desired for practical implementation in a broader working environment with a high stability. In this article, a novel and robust mechanochromism was designed and fabricated via a facile method. Silica nanoparticles (NPs) that serve as a trigger of color switch were embedded in elastomer to form a bi-layer hybrid film. Upon stretching under ambient conditions, the hybrid film can change color as well as transparency. Quality control of Chinese herbal tea remains a challenge due to our poor knowledge of their complex chemical profile. This study aims to investigate the chemical composition of one of the best-selling and famous brand of beverage in China, Wanglaoji Herbal Tea (WLJHT), via a full component quantitative analysis. In this paper, a total of thirty-four representative constituents were identified or tentatively characterized using ultra-high performance liquid chromatography coupled with quadrupole tandem time-of-flight mass spectrometry (UPLC-Q-TOF-MS). Moreover, the quantitative analyses of fourteen constituents were performed by high performance liquid chromatography with a triple quadruple tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS) method and saccharide compositions of WLJHT were also quantitatively determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with evaporative light scattering detector (ELSD) on a Hilic column, separately. Using multiple chromatographic techniques presented a good precision, sensitivity, repeatability and stability, and was successfully applied to analyze 16 batches of WLJHT samples.
