This systematic literature search aims at mapping all currently available Person-Centered & Experiential (PCE) literature in Danish language and is part of an effort to strengthen the PCE-tradition in Denmark. The methodological approach in this literature search consisted of three phases: 1) The collecting phase was based on known literature by Danish PCE-experts as well as a systematic literature search in the Royal Danish library database using PCE-keywords and known author names. 2) The sorting phase was based on using inclusion and exclusion criteria. 3) The reporting phase consists of this paper, a presentation at the PCE2022 conference and publishing the results online and in . The result of the systematic literature search was a total of 144 Danish PCE-literature references distributed on the four sub-categories: 1) PCE-literature by Danish authors (47 references), 2) PCE-literature translations (25 references), 3) humanistic literature by Danish authors (33 references), and 4) humanistic literature translations (39 references). Literature by motivational interviewing is most common with person-centered approach and emotion-focused therapy (EFT) next in line. The discussion covers the status of motivational interviewing among PCE-therapies, the general lack of Danish PCE-literature, and a call for more translations into Danish of major PCE-literature. Despite demonstrated effectiveness as a psychosocial intervention for youth diagnosed with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), behavioural parent training (BPT) remains inaccessible while disorder rates increase globally. Previously, Chacko and Scavenius found that the Caring in Chaos (CiC) BPT model leveraged the advantages of community health settings, resulting in improved child and parent outcomes, prompting a need to replicate these findings. This paper reports on the effects of the CiC BPT model on the previous waitlist, untreated sample from Chacko and Scavenius. Results confirm previous findings, demonstrating CiC BPT improves parenting behaviour, competence, stress, depressive symptoms, and child impairment. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper explores the moral implications of treatment of young people with functional somatic symptoms. Based on an ethnographic field study at a Danish pain clinic for youngsters (age 8 to 18), the paper seeks to unearth the cultural, moral values that clinical practice steers by and upholds, and the implications this has for the assessment and management of ill body-selves. Through an exposition of the general practice of the clinic and an investigation of two specific cases of youngsters, it is found that the assessment of symptoms and selves and the goals of treatment are informed by cultural ideals of 'the good self' and 'the good life' in which agency and work ethic – both pertaining to the notion of individual responsibility – figure as prevalent virtues. The study underpins the findings of other researchers who have found that ideals of individual autonomy and responsibility for own life and health permeate the Western health care system and the discourses of ill individuals. The contribution of this article is to portray in ethnographic detail how such a cultural ethics manifests in practice and what implications this have for the treatment of young people with functional symptoms at a specific location and in specific cases. Background: Mild traumatic brain injuries (mTBI) are the most common of traumatic brain injuries and patients often experience a wide range of symptoms such as headache, fatigue, dizziness, sleep problems and subjective cognitive deficits. Whilemost symptomatic patients recover quickly, a sub-group of ~ 10-20% of patients experience prolonged symptoms. There is currently a lack of evidence-based treatment for these patients. Objective: The objective of the present paper was to conduct a systematic review of the literature on psychotherapeutic interventions specifically for patients with prolonged symptoms (> 3 months after injury) after mTBI. Methods: With a more precise definition of psychotherapy than previous reviews, an extensive literature search was conducted that yielded 2332 hits, of which five were considered to meet the criteria. Only two of the studies were randomized controlled trials. Results and conclusions: Results revealed several methodological limitations in the included studies, leading to the conclusion that it is premature to make any strong recommendations on psychotherapeutic treatment of prolonged symptoms after mTBI. With in-depth methodological analyses of the included studies and comprehensive recommendations for future research, the present review aims to inform clinicians and to encourage scientists to engage in collaborative effort towards increasing the number of methodologically sound clinical trials in the field.
