Microchannel heat exchangers find widespread use in household and automotive air conditioning due to their compact structure and high efficiency. However, two-phase refrigerant flow mal-distribution in microchannels limits their application. For the CO2 heat pump, the performance reduction by flow mal-distribution could be as large as 20%. This study proposed an approach to mitigate flow mal-distribution by inserting a perforated tube into the header of a microchannel evaporator in CO2 heat pump. Numerical simulations were carried out to investigate the impact of perforated tube parameters and CO2 inlet conditions on flow distribution. Results show a 24.4% increase in total non-uniformity (S) of flow distribution with a perforated tube. A higher number of openings and smaller diameters enhance uniformity, with the 10-hole, 2 mm diameter perforated tube proving most effective. Additionally, the most uniform flow distribution was achieved at an inlet CO2 mass flow rate of 30 g/s and a vapor quality of 0.2. And the flat tubes with an insertion depth of 5 mm and a cross-section of 16 × 2 mm is the most beneficial for uniform flow distribution. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aiming at reducing the effect of time delay on the control performance of magnetorheological (MR) damper semi-active suspension, a control strategy with strong robustness to time delay is investigated in this study, including the force controller of MR damper, the robust controller and the predictive compensator. The force controller of MR damper is built based on the hyperbolic tangent function; the robust controller is built based on the simplified model of car body lateral vibration and is designed by μ-synthesis method considering the effect of time delay; then the Smith predictive model and the lateral velocity predictor are designed, which form the predictive compensator of semi-active controller to reduce the effect of time delay. To validate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy, several conventional semi-active controllers are designed as comparative objects. The simulation results show that the proposed semi-active control strategy can maintain good performance when time delay is in the range of 0–100 ms and has better robustness to time delay compared with the conventional control strategy. A new polyacetylenic glucoside together with three known compounds were isolated from the whole herb of Bidens pilosa L. The structure elucidation of these four compounds was employed by combining NMR and HR-MS data as 4-O-β-D-glucopyranosyloxy-1-hydroxy- 6-(E)-tetradecene-8,10,12-triyne (1), 3-O-β-D-glucopyranosyloxy-1-hydroxy-6-(E)-tetradec- ene-8,10,12-triyne (2), 2-O-β-D-glucopyranosyloxy-1-hydroxy-5-(E)-tetradecene-7,9,11-triy- ne (3) and icthyothereol acetate (4). Additionally, bioactivity study showed that these compounds have potential anti-inflammatory activity. To analyze the correlation between the inducing effect of Fusobacterium nucleatum (Fn) on the surface expression of the inhibitory receptor KIR2DL1 on CD8+ T cells in oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) and the clinicopathological features and survival prognosis and to explore its clinical significance. The inducing effect of Fn on CD8+ T cell surface inhibitory receptor KIR2DL1 expression was analyzed in a coculture system of human CD8+ T cells and ESCC cells infected with Fn. Fn infection and the expression of KIR2DL1 on CD8+ T cells were detected by RNAscope and immunohistochemistry in ESCC tissues, and the correlations between the inducing effect of Fn on KIR2DL1 expression on CD8+ T cells and clinicopathological features were analyzed. COX regression was used to analyze the influence of each factor on the prognosis of ESCC. Survival curves were plotted by the Kaplan–Meier method, and the effect of KIR2DL1 induction on survival time was analyzed by the log-rank test. In the coculture system, KIR2DL1 expression on the surface of CD8+ T cells increased with increasing Fn infection time. In ESCC tissues, Fn infection was significantly correlated with high KIR2DL1 expression on CD8+ T cells. The Fn + CD8+KIR2DL1 positive patients were predominantly males who were smokers and alcohol drinkers. Moreover, patients with Fn infection were characterized by poor tumour differentiation, advanced clinical stage, and a short survival time. Meanwhile, Fn + CD8+KIR2DL1 positive group was independent risk factor affecting the prognosis of ESCC patients. Long-term drinking and smoking lead to an extremely unhealthy oral environment in which Fn infection and colonization are more likely to occur, thus inducing high expression of KIR2DL1 on the surface of CD8+ T cells, which can weaken the antitumour immune response and promote the malignant progression of ESCC. Fn induced high expression of KIR2DL1 CD8+ T cells in a time-dependent manner. Fn can reduce the response of tumour cells to CDDP. The biosolubilization experiments of Shenmu lignite were carried out by four kinds of bacteria, Ochrobactrum cytisi, Novospingobium naphthalenivorans, Alcaligenes faecalis, and Pseudomonas fluorescens. The optimal conditions of coal biosolubilization were obtained by combining single-factor and orthogonal experiments, showing the coal biosolubilization rate of dominant bacterium Pseudomonas fluorescens is 53.6%. The effects of four surfactants which were SDS, LAS, Tween 80, and Triton X-100 on coal biosolubilization were studied, it is obvious for Pseudomonas fluorescens the biosolubilization rate can reach to 61.9% and the biosolubilization time has been shortened in the presence of Triton X-100. Adsorption model of surfactants on coal surface was deduced by measuring the contact angle between oxidized coal surface and surfactants solutions, and zeta potential of mixture solution of coal and surfactant. The enhancement of the hydrophilicity of the oxidized coal surface is helpful to improve the coal biosolubilization. The unsaturated compounds with low molecular weight (89–604) such as ethers, esters and the like existed in black liquid products. The carbonyl and nitryl groups in oxidized coal increased after the coal pretreated by nitric acid, while decreased in residual coal. This study was conducted to determine the effects of diet supplementation of laying hens with Enterococcus faecalis (EF) on egg production, egg quality and caecal microbiota. A total of 360 Hy-Line Brown laying hens (72 weeks old) were divided into three groups with four replicates of 30 birds each. The laying hens were fed with the basal diet (Control), the basal diet + 3.75 · 108 cfu EF/kg (Group I) or the basal diet + 7.5 · 108 cfu EF/kg (Group II). The experiment lasted for 45 d. Eggs and caecal samples were collected at the end of the experiment. Results showed that dietary supplementation with EF did not affect the average daily egg weight, cracked egg rate, mortality and egg quality. However, EF supplementation caused a significantly increased laying rate and decreased feed/egg ratio (p < 0.05). The differences in caecal microbiota between Group II and the Control were significant. The relative abundance of Verrucomicrobia and Cyanobacteria at the phylum level, Rikenellaceae, Christensenellaceae and Veillonellaceae at the family level, and the Faecalibacterium, ChristensenellaceaeR-7 group and Eubacterium coprostanoligenes group at the genus level changed significantly in Group II compared with the Control (p < 0.05). In conclusion, the tested dietary supplementations with EF improved product performance and affected the caecal microbial community structure of laying hens during the late laying period.
