The article explores the environmental security challenges facing Canada in the 21st century. It discusses the assessment of the country's environmental security (ES) and investigates the most important areas of insecurity by analyzing various literature to recognize the importance of the environment from a security perspective. It highlights the two areas of the Canadian environmental security concentration that needs to be addressed by the government including the Arctic and Global Environmental Change (GEC). It provides information of on various ES methods that can be used on industrial nations that face unique issues such as Canada.
