The article discusses personalized therapy for endometriosis based on the expression of estrogen receptors α (ERα) and β (ERβ). Endometriosis is a chronic disease characterized by the growth of endometrial tissue outside the uterus, causing pain and infertility. Current treatment options include surgery and estrogen suppression therapy, but they have limitations and side effects. The study found that ovarian endometrioma (OMA) subtype of endometriosis showed the most significant response to estrogen suppression treatment by affecting ESR2. However, further research is needed to validate these findings and develop personalized treatments for different subtypes of endometriosis. [Extracted from the article]
