Abstract

This paper introduces a novel dynamical model, building upon the existing dynamical model for Deimos in the current numerical ephemerides, which only encompasses the simple libration effects of Deimos. The study comprehensively incorporates the rotational dynamics of Deimos influenced by the torque exerted by the major celestial bodies (Mars, the Sun) in the solar system within the inertial space. Consequently, a full dynamical model is formulated to account for the complete coupling between the rotation and orbit of Deimos. Simultaneously, employing precision orbit determination methods used for artificial satellites, we develop an adjustment model for fitting data to the complete model. The 12-order Adams--Bashforth--Moulton (ABM) integration algorithm is employed to synchronously integrate the 12 state variables of the full model to obtain the orbit of Deimos. Numerical simulation results indicate that the full dynamical model and adjustment model are stable and reliable. Compared to the simple model, the polar axis of Deimos in the inertial space exhibits a more complex oscillation in the full model. This work further advances the current dynamical model for Deimos and establishes the foundational model for the generation of a new set of precise numerical ephemerides for Deimos.

Abstract

Spatial, momentum and energy separation of electronic spins in condensed matter systems guides the development of novel devices where spin-polarized current is generated and manipulated. Recent attention on a set of previously overlooked symmetry operations in magnetic materials leads to the emergence of a new type of spin splitting, enabling giant and momentum-dependent spin polarization of energy bands on selected antiferromagnets. Despite the ever-growing theoretical predictions, the direct spectroscopic proof of such spin splitting is still lacking. Here, we provide solid spectroscopic and computational evidence for the existence of such materials. In the noncoplanar antiferromagnet MnTe$_2$, the in-plane components of spin are found to be antisymmetric about the high-symmetry planes of the Brillouin zone, comprising a plaid-like spin texture in the antiferromagnetic (AFM) ground state. Such an unconventional spin pattern, further found to diminish at the high-temperature paramagnetic state, stems from the intrinsic AFM order instead of spin-orbit coupling (SOC). Abstract

Abstract Background Hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) has demonstrated remarkable local therapeutic efficacy in treating patients with large unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Additionally, the combination of lenvatinib and programmed cell death protein‐1 (PD‐1) inhibitors has demonstrated promising antitumor effects in unresectable HCC. Therefore, we conducted a retrospective analysis to evaluate the efficacy and safety of combining HAIC with lenvatinib and PD‐1 inhibitors as a first‐line therapeutic approach in high‐burden HCC patients. Methods We conducted a retrospective analysis on patients diagnosed with high‐burden HCC who had major portal vein tumor thrombosis (Vp3 and Vp4) or tumor occupancy exceeding 50% of the liver. These patients received a first‐line treatment consisting of HAIC with a combination of 5‐fluorouracil, leucovorin, and oxaliplatin (FOLFOX), along with lenvatinib and PD‐1 inhibitors between November 2020 and June 2023. The primary endpoints of this study included progression‐free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS), while the secondary endpoints were objective response rate (ORR), disease control rate (DCR), and treatment‐related adverse events (TRAEs). Results Ninety‐one patients were enrolled in this study, with a median PFS of 8.8 months (95% confidence interval [CI]: 5.75–11.78) and a median OS of 14.3 months (95% CI: 11.23–17.31). According to RECIST 1.1 criteria, the ORR was 52.7%, and DCR was 95.6%. According to the mRECIST criteria, the ORR was 72.5%, and the DCR was 96.5%. Among all patients, 86 (94.5%) experienced TRAEs, and there were no instances of treatment‐related deaths. Conclusion The combination of HAIC‐FOLFOX with lenvatinib and PD‐1 inhibitors as a first‐line therapy has exhibited notable therapeutic efficacy and well‐tolerated adverse events among patients with high‐burden HCC.

Abstract

Lorentz-violating type-II Dirac nodal line semimetals (DNLSs), hosting curves of band degeneracy formed by two dispersion branches with the same sign of slope, represent a novel states of matter. While being studied extensively in theory, convincing experimental evidences of type-II DNLSs remain elusive. Recently, Vanadium-based kagome materials have emerged as a fertile ground to study the interplay between lattice symmetry and band topology. In this work, we study the low-energy band structure of double-kagome-layered CsV$_8$Sb$_{12}$ and identify it as a scarce type-II DNLS protected by mirror symmetry. We have observed multiple DNLs consisting of type-II Dirac cones close to or almost at the Fermi level via angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES). First-principle analyses show that spin-orbit coupling only opens a small gap, resulting effectively gapless ARPES spectra, yet generating large spin Berry curvature. These type-II DNLs, together with the interaction between a low-energy van Hove singularity and quasi-1D band as we observed in the same material, suggest CsV$_8$Sb$_{12}$ as an ideal platform for exploring novel transport properties such as chiral anomaly, the Klein tunneling and fractional quantum Hall effect., Comment: 10 pages, 4 figures

Abstract

Aiming at the main problems existing in the jumping robot, combined with the galago senegalensis monkey's characteristics of small sizes, stable and explosive jumping, a kind of galago senegalensis monkey single leg jumping robot is proposed in this study, and its main structure and control system are designed. Based on the principle of the Stephenson's six-bar linkage, a planar eight-bar linkage for the leg of simulating galago senegalensis monkey robot is designed, and its trajectory is optimized to obtain the bar length parameters with the best jumping ability. The three directions of the robot's jumping are controlled and adjusted, and the double closed-loop feedback control system is used to ensure the stability of the robot's attitude when taking off, soaring in the air, and landing on the ground. Finally, the physical verification model of the robot is established. The total weight is only 395.5 g, and the overall height is 250 mm. The experimental results show that the simulating single leg robot can achieve continuous and stable jumping, the highest jumping speed can reach 20 m/s, and the response time at a jumping height of 100 mm is 0.1 s.
