Silicon (Si) is a chemical element that is not yet considered essential for plants. However, over the past few decades, an increasing number of scientifi c studies have focused on the role of Si in soil-plant interactions. At the same time, many countries are leading the development and use of silicon-based fertilizers. Si can be taken up by plants predominantly in a mobile form (H4SiO4) in the soil through both passive and active uptake mechanisms. Therefore, Scopus data from 2012 to 2022 were used to understand the implementation and current status of research on the benefi cial effects of silicon fertilizers on soil and plants and the role of soil forms of silicon in improving soil quality. A bibliometric study of articles published in the database on the role of Si in soil and silicon fertilizers was carried out. Various tools, such as Microsoft Offi ce Excel 2021, VOS Viewer and Mapchart.net were used in this study. The fi nal literature includes 440 articles, 82% of which are scientifi c. Over the past decade, the number of published articles has increased signifi cantly. For example, in the years 2021–2022, a total of 91 articles were published, which is six times higher than the number of articles published in 2012–2013 (15 articles). This signifi cant increase in publications highlights the growing interest in the role Si and Si fertilizer research. It was found around 32.04% of China, 13.2% of the USA and 9.8% of Brazil the reviewed publications focused on the role of Si and Si fertilizers studies. Among the authors who published the most articles on this topic during the selected period are Wang X. (with 12 articles), Liang Yu., Rizwan M. and Ali S. (each with 8 articles). In the last decades, geostatistics has been widely used for precision agriculture (PA) producing quite exciting results. Research on this topic is important for sustainable agriculture growth in Brazil. The objective of the review is an attempt to outline the current state of using geostatistical tools for PA applications in Brazil in the last 20 years (2002–2022), but not to provide an exhaustive review of models. We analyzed the scientific literature on this field in Brazil to identify their merits and weaknesses in the present, and to conjecture on future developments. We analyzed 151 proceeding papers and 144 peer-reviewed journal articles regarding applications of geostatistics in PA in Brazil from 2002 to 2022 using bibliometric techniques to reveal current research trends and hotspots. We detected using geostatistics for PA has been limited, mostly for univariate interpolation purposes. The co-citation analysis reveals four broad research clusters in the literature: (i) spatial variability, semivariogram, soil management, (ii) soil fertility, ordinary kriging, spatial dependence, (iii) coffee plant, coffee, Coffea arabica, and (iv) glycine max, zea mays, management zones. The presented review is a springboard to future modeling developments useful for geostatistics applications to PA in Brazil. We suggest expanding the use of geostatistics for smart agricultural technology by adding new potential approaches in new research. Combined with other approaches, such as machine learning, uncertainty modeling, efforts for more geostatistical training, and data fusion from multi-sensor and multi-source are a new frontier to be explored more often by the Brazilian PA community. We conducted a bibliometric analysis in order to quantify and characterize the scientific knowledge about threatened freshwater fish species in Brazil based in studies published in peer-reviewed journals from Web of Science database from Clarivate Analytics. We verified an increase in the number of papers for threatened freshwater fish species in Brazil, especially in the last eleven years of studied period. The journals with the most papers were Neotropical Ichthyology, Environmental Biology of Fishes, and Journal of Fish Biology. The number of publications among the Brazilian regions and states is not homogeneous. The most studied threatened fish was piracanjuba Brycon orbignyanus. Some important gaps in scientific knowledge need to be addressed, such as the relatively small number and/or lack of studies conducted Brazilian states and with threatened freshwater fish species in Brazil. In recent years, much attention has been paid to the use of biopolymers as food packaging materials due to their important characteristics and properties. These include non-toxicity, ease of availability, biocompatibility, and biodegradability, indicating their potential as an alternative to conventional plastic packaging that has long been under environmental scrutiny. Given the current focus on sustainable development, it is imperative to develop studies on biopolymers as eco-friendly and sustainable food packaging materials. Therefore, the aim of this review is to explore trends and characteristics of biopolymer-based biodegradable films for food packaging, analyze the contribution of various journals and cooperation between countries, highlight the most influential authors and articles, and provide an overview of the social, environmental, and economic aspects of biodegradable films for food packaging. To achieve this goal, a bibliometric analysis and systematic review based on the PRISMA method were conducted. Relevant articles were carefully selected from the Scopus database. A bibliometric analysis was also conducted to discuss holistically, comprehensively, and objectively biodegradable films for food packaging. An increasing interest was found in this study, especially in the last 3 years with Brazil and China leading the number of papers on biodegradable films for food packaging, which were responsible for 20.4% and 12.5% of the published papers, respectively. The results of the keyword analysis based on the period revealed that the addition of bioactive compounds into packaging films is very promising because it can increase the quality and safety of packaged food. These results reveal that biodegradable films demonstrate a positive and promising trend as food packaging materials that are environmentally friendly and promote sustainability. This study aims to perform a bibliometric analysis of articles on IFRS adoption publications in the Scopus database. Using a sample of 528 publications, this study found that publications on IFRS adoption have steadily increased since 2006. The authors from the United States were ranked as the most active country publishing in this area. In contrast, the most active institution studying IFRS adoption is Universidad de São Paulo in Brazil. As far as we know, this is the first study to investigate IFRS adoption literature from around the world based on the Scopus database. Hence, this study is the first to allow us to understand the trends in publication and researcher location, subject areas, journals, and author keywords on IFRS adoption studies, which is helpful for collaboration and potential topics for research students. We also highlight the topics that attract the researchers' focus in IFRS adoption, which we believe are most helpful as guidance for future researchers and research funding bodies. A documentary review was developed on the production and publication of research papers related to the study of the variable Sustainable Development and Organizations in Latin America. The purpose of the bibliometric analysis proposed in this document, is to know the main characteristics of the volume of publications registered in Scopus database during the period 2015-2020 in Latin American countries, achieving the identification of 814 publications in total. The information provided by said platform, was organized by means of graphs and figures categorizing the information by Year of Publication, Country of Origin, Area of Knowledge and Type of Publication. Once these characteristics were described, the position of different authors regarding the proposed topic was referenced by means of a qualitative analysis. Among the main findings of this research, it is found that Brazil, with 510 publications, is the Latin American country with the highest production. The Area of Knowledge that made the greatest contribution to the construction of bibliographic material referring to the study of Sustainable Development and Organizations was Environmental Sciences with 344 published documents, and the Type of Publication that was most used during the abovementioned period was the Journal Article, which represents 60% of the total scientific production. Large quantities of mango peel and seed are generated worldwide, representing up to 60% of the total weight of the fruit. However, despite being undervalued, these by-products have a high nutritional and bioactive potential of interest for multiple applications. This paper evaluated for the first time the trend on research approaches for the use of mango peel and seed. For this purpose, a mixed methodology based on a literature review and bibliometric analysis with VOSviewer was used. Most of the studies on this topic are carried out by researchers from institutions in India, Mexico and Brazil, due to the high level of mango production in these countries. In addition, due to the importance of the subject, these studies are published in journals with high impact. According to the keyword co-occurrence analysis, the studies focus on the bioactive compounds of mango peel and seed, mainly phenolic compounds and carotenoids, in addition to their antioxidant activity, suitable for combating various diseases. Taking advantage of these properties, it was determined that these by-products (as powder or extract) are generally used as an ingredient in the elaboration of functional foods, showing promising results. Finally, this review also detailed some current challenges and future trends in the topic, which are of crucial importance to give the deserved valorization to mango peel and seed. This study aims to present a comprehensive knowledge mapping of plastic pollution on coastal/marine tourism research. To achieve this objective, the present study employed a two-tier analysis, including a systematic review of literature and bibliometric analysis of 164 scholarly articles spanning 1999 to 2022. The results underline the multidisciplinary nature of this research domain, characterized by a significant upswing in publications. The dominant countries in this field are identified as Brazil, Australia, and the USA. A noteworthy collaboration dynamic between the Chinese Academy of Sciences, East China Normal University, and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences has emerged, signaling opportunities for enhanced cross-border cooperation. Jambeck, who provided data support for this research field, is found as the most cited author. Marine Pollution Bulletin, Environmental Pollution, and Science of the Total Environment are the most prolific journals discussing such topics. The primary research clusters in this field include seasonal comparison, Qinghai Lake, and small plastic debris. Additionally, scholars have recently focused on new topics such as seasonal comparison, case study, spatial pattern, and the Southern Baltic Sea in the last 3 years. This research also reports 10 articles with the highest citations and 10 highly cited papers. Not only this, the present study presents the inaugural bibliometric analysis on plastic pollution in coastal and marine tourism. To the authors' knowledge, it stands as a pioneering investigation of its nature, offering a comprehensive view on the research domain by evaluating a time span exceeding two decades, with a specific emphasis on the literature pertaining to marine tourism. Assessing scientific research advancement is indispensable for structuring future goals and rationalizations. We carried out a literature review in the Scopus database using vos-viewer (version 1.6.16.) and Biblioshiny 2.0. The purpose was to analyse data on the use of essential oils with Drosophila species, and observe research trends on this topic. Between 2001 and 2022, 110 articles were published, with the Industrial Crops and Products as the most outstanding journal. The country with the greatest number of publications on the topic in the analysed period was Brazil (n=22), followed by United States (n=15) and the China (n=11). Keywords that stood out the most were essential oil, animals, Drosophila melanogaster, non-human, controlled study, unclassified drug, insecticidal activity and chemical composition. The current paper delineates the scientific information regarding essential oils and Drosophila species all over the world. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first bibliometric survey which aimed to visualize the scientific progress, spatial distribution of the researches, key word analysis and addresses research gaps associated with the work on essential oils and Drosophila. Background: Photodynamic therapy (PDT) has been widely accepted in keratocyte carcinoma and an increasing number of literatures concerning PDT in skin cancer is published. But a detailed examination of publication patterns of PDT in skin cancer has not yet been carried out. Methods: Bibliographies were retrieved from Web of Science Core Collection restricted the publication date from January 1, 1985 to December 31, 2021. The search terms were photodynamic therapy and skin cancer. Visualization analysis and statistical analysis were performed by VOSviewer (Version 1.6.13), R software (Version 4.1.2) and Scimago Graphica (Version 1.0.15). Results: 3248 documents were selected for analysis. The results showed that the number of annual publications related to PDT in skin cancer was gradually increased and would continue to increase in the future. The results illustrated that "melanoma", "nanoparticles", "drug‐delivery", "mechanism", "delivery" and "in‐vitro" are newly occurred topics. The most prolific country was the United States and the most productive institution was the University of Sao Paulo in Brazil. German researcher Szeimies RM published the most papers related to PDT in skin cancer. British Journal of Dermatology was the most popular journal in this field. Conclusion: The topic that PDT in skin cancer is a heated issue. Our study revealed the bibliometric result of the field, which might provide the prospects for further research. We recommend future investigations focusing on PDT in treating melanoma, innovation of photosensitizer, improvement of drug delivery and the mechanism of PDT in skin cancer. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study examines the pattern of the Central University of Himachal Pradesh research publications between 2011 and 2020. The study used bibliometric methods to analyse data retrieved from the Scopus database. Google Spreadsheet and VOSviewer software were used for the analysis and visualisation. The research covers mainly the year-wise publication, the most productive authors, the subject areas, the types of documents, preferred publications, research collaboration, and highly cited articles. This study showed that the Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP) published 442 publications and received 5,531 citations during 2011-2020. Akhter, Y. from the School of Life Sciences had published the highest number (60) and received 746 citations, with an ACPP of 12.43 and h-index of 16. It was also found that most of the publications of CUHP have collaborated with Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University at the national level and Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Brazil, at the international level. Objectives: In celebration of the journal's 50th anniversary, the aim of the study was to review the whole collection of Community Dentistry and Oral Epidemiology (CDOE) publications from 1973 to 2022 and provide a complete overview of the main publication characteristics. Methods: The study used bibliometric techniques such as performance and science mapping analysis of 3428 articles extracted from the Scopus database. The data were analysed using the 'Bibliometrix' package in R. The journal's scientific production was examined, along with the yearly citation count, the distribution of publications based on authors, the corresponding author's country and affiliation and citation count, citing source and keywords. Bibliometric network maps were constructed to determine the conceptual, intellectual and social collaborative structure over the past 50 years. The trending research topics and themes were identified. Results: The total number of articles and average citations has increased over the years. D Locker, AJ Spencer, A Sheiham and WM Thomson were the most frequently published authors, and PE Petersen, GD Slade and AI Ismail published papers with the highest citations. The most published countries were the United States, United Kingdom, Brazil and Canada, frequently engaging in collaborative efforts. The most common keywords used were 'dental caries', 'oral epidemiology' and 'oral health'. The trending topics were healthcare and health disparities, social determinants of health, systematic review and health inequalities. Epidemiology, oral health and disparities were highly researched areas. Conclusion: This bibliometric study reviews CDOE's significant contribution to dental public health by identifying key research trends, themes, influential authors and collaborations. The findings provide insights into the need to increase publications from developing countries, improve gender diversity in authorship and broaden the scope of research themes. The main objective of this study was to ascertain and characterise different articles published in the field of dentistry based on cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) imaging technique. The search was performed using Scopus database to generate publications relevant to usage of CBCT in relation to dentistry. Additional data comprising of citation information, bibliographic information, abstract, keywords and other information was also included. Bibliometric pointers such as citation and documents, authors, journals and keywords were also investigated. About 411 research papers were available from 2004 and 2020 and were further analysed using VOSviewer 1.6.15. A gradual increase in the number of publications can be seen, however in 2018, highest number of papers was published. USA, Turkey and Brazil were the topmost countries making substantial contributions. The most productive organisation was University of Michigan School of Dentistry, USA. Journal of Dentomaxillofacial Radiology was the most preferred journals by authors. This is one of first bibliometric analysis that aims to identify different research articles published in the field of dentistry that focused on CBCT. This study will be helpful to the investigators who have just started CBCT based research by providing them with a general insight regarding research tendency along with source of possible associations among different authors and countries. Background: The step test provides valuable information on cardiorespiratory parameters such as maximal oxygen uptake and heart rate. Cardiorespiratory capacity is critical to health-related fitness, with heart rate recovery after exercise serving as a predictor of mortality risk. Main Body: The primary objective of this review was to identify trends, key contributors, and emerging themes in the step test literature through 2023 using the Web of Science Core Collection. Bibliometric data extraction and analysis were performed using a dedicated bibliometric software (VOSviewer). The analysis showed continued interest through 2021. The research categories highlight the multidisciplinary nature of the step test, covering cardiovascular systems, respiratory systems, sports sciences, and medicine. It has gained global attention, with 31 countries involved, with Brazil and the United States leading the way. The diversity of contributing nations is increasing, reflecting a growing global interest. With 111 journals involved, such as Respiratory Care and Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise, step test research is spread across the academic landscape. With 761 contributing researchers, there is a collaborative and diverse community. The top 10 institutions, including the University of Alabama System and Monash University, illustrate the variety of settings in which step test studies are conducted. Step test studies span multiple disciplines, underscoring their adaptability. The clusters identified in this bibliometric analysis of the step test literature guide future research, suggesting avenues for refining protocols, exploring health implications, optimizing tests for specific conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and adapting step tests in diverse populations. Conclusions: Practical implications highlight the role of the step test in cardiovascular risk assessment, fitness monitoring, and rehabilitation. Objective: The objective of this study is to explore the current research status, key areas, and future development trends in the field of resin materials for dental caries repair through an objective and quantitative analysis of the literature. Methods: A search was conducted on the Web of Science Core Collection using "dental cavity" and "resin" as keywords, covering the period from 2000 to 2023. Data including author names, journals, countries, institutions, keywords, and citation rates were extracted. The collected data was subjected to statistical analysis using bibliometrics methodology, and visual knowledge maps were generated using software like CiteSpace 6.2.R4, Microsoft365, and R. Results: A total of 4800 articles were retrieved, involving 13,423 authors, 2654 institutions, 76 countries, and 560 journals. The number of publications and cumulative publications in this field showed an increasing trend, reaching a peak in 2022. Dental Materials was the journal with the highest number of publications, cumulative publications, and citation rates. XU HHK was the most prolific author in terms of publications and citations. The University of Maryland was the institution with the highest number of publications. Brazil was the country with the highest number of publications. The USA had the highest level of collaboration with other countries. Collaboration between different authors, institutions, and countries in this field was relatively close, which contributed to the rapid development of resin materials for caries repair. The current research focus is mainly on the nature of dental caries, characteristics of resin materials, and bonding strength of adhesives. Enhancing the bioactivity and remineralization of resin materials, advanced antibacterial strategies, longevity and durability of resin restorations, nanotechnology, and material innovation, as well as digital dentistry, will receive increased attention as future research trends. Conclusion: Resin materials for dental caries repair have received significant attention. Future research should combine nanotechnology and big data analysis to investigate the mechanisms of dental caries occurrence and development, enhance the performance and longevity of resin materials, and conduct high-quality, large-scale empirical research. The purpose of this article is to summarize approaches and methods used abroad for estimating carbon emissions resulting from land-use changes on global and regional levels. To understand the place of this topic in modern geoecology, an analysis of bibliometric indicators has been carried out based on the Scopus abstract and citation database. There has been a significant increase in publications on the research results of carbon emissions and absorption under the influence of land use around the world since the early 2000s, with over 200 articles currently published per year. The leading countries in terms of publication activity include China, the United States, Germany, Great Britain, and Brazil, with the Chinese Academy of Sciences being the leader among organizations. The present-day research into carbon balance changes under the impact of land-use change is based on detecting changes in land cover in the spatiotemporal aspect using advanced geoinformation technologies and on modeling carbon fluxes through the use of precise data consistent with the approaches 2–3 of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change methodology. It has been established that most of the studies by leading scientific centers have common algorithm and stages. This article provides a description of these stages, namely, the methods and specific tools used, and it identifies their advantages and disadvantages. The general research algorithm includes, at the first stage, an assessment of the dynamics of land-use/land-cover change for different time spans, then carbon balance modeling as a result of land-use changes, and the development of regional policy measures on this basis. National nuances in the application of methods and initial data are also revealed (cases of China, Brazil, etc.). It is concluded that it is necessary to further improve methods in the field of accuracy of land-use/land-cover classifications and timeliness of detecting its dynamics, as well as the assessment of carbon stocks. This research aims to evaluate the scientific production on public relations addressing Latin America through a quantitative content and bibliometric analysis of articles and special issues published between 1980 and 2020, written in the official languages of the region: Spanish and Portuguese. The results of 123 articles confirm a substantial increase of studies since 2011, and some limitations of scientific dissemination. Although almost half of the authors were based in Brazil (40%), 17 base countries were counted. In this paper we analyzed the distribution, methodological procedures, evolution and the thematic of scientific publications about decision-making in accounting, as well as its authors In the time horizon analyzed (between 1998 and 2011), we focused on the main international accounting journals where we identified 63 papers on decision-making in accounting. The production of biodiesel through enzymatic routes has attracted significant attention, mainly because this can be regarded as a "green route" for the manufacture of fuels. In this way, an advanced bibliometric analysis comprising the global scientific production of biodiesel through immobilized enzymes was conducted. Thus, 923 papers were retrieved, analyzed, and classified according to the reported substrates, enzymes, supports, immobilization procedures, and reactors. Researchers from 748 institutions of 64 distinct countries authored the analyzed articles, showing the widespread interest in these technologies, although 10 countries concentrate more than 80% of the total number of documents published in this area, including China (23%), Brazil (17%), and India (11%). Particularly, most papers reported the use of vegetable oils (67%) as raw materials. In the last decade, approximately 80% of the published research focused on the use of supports to manufacture immobilized and insoluble biocatalysts. Enzymes have been obtained mostly from fungal sources (64%), especially lipases produced by Thermomyces lanuginosus (14.4%). Among the available commercial immobilized biocatalysts, Novozym 435 is certainly the one cited most frequently (55.9%) followed by Lipozyme RM IM (13.7%) and Lipozyme TL IM (16.7%). Additionally, the majority of the manuscripts reported the use of stirred tank reactors (83.0%) to perform the enzymatic reactions. Based on the surveyed literature, research trends indicate that new technologies are being developed to turn the enzymatic production of biodiesel more sustainable and economically viable, based mainly on the use of more active biocatalysts, more sustainable enzyme supports, and low-cost residues as raw materials. • Advanced bibliometric review about the production of biodiesel by immobilized enzyme was performed. • Chinese and Brazilian scientific communities are the most active in this field. • Novozymes 435 is the commercial biocatalyst used most often in this field. • Emerging technologies were identified for the synthesis of enzyme supports. • Sustainable supports and low-cost feedstocks are trends in the biodiesel production field. Summary: Babassu is a tropical palm native in South and Central America that produces high‐quality oil from its fruit. The babassu oil extraction results in the production of babassu coconut by‐products (BCBs) – epicarp, mesocarp, endocarp, and almond cake. In this study, we utilised bibliometric analysis and literature review to understand and evaluate their potential for food applications. Our analysis revealed a total of 165 studies published between 1945 and 2022 in the Web of Science database. Notably, Brazil emerged as a prominent contributor to research in this field. The babassu epicarp and endocarp were identified as lignocellulosic materials. Although they are not directly consumable, they possess the potential to serve as sustainable sources of bioactive compounds. In contrast, the babassu mesocarp primarily consists of starch, while the babassu cake exhibits a high protein content. These ingredients play pivotal roles in bakery products and plant‐based formulations, respectively. Despite these findings, our investigation uncovered a knowledge gap regarding the assessment of these fractions in the context of food science and nutrition. Petiveria alliacea L. (Phytolaccaceae) holds significant importance in the Amazon region, where it has been traditionally utilized in folk medicine. In this study, we conducted a comprehensive bibliometric analysis using conventional metrics, combined with a critical content review of its pharmacological and toxicological properties, to identify gaps in the existing literature that require further investigation. Our investigation identified a total of 55 articles that met the inclusion criteria for this study. Remarkably, Brazil emerged as the primary contributor within the scope of this review, indicating a strong presence of research from this country. Furthermore, professional scientific societies have played a pivotal role in facilitating the dissemination of scientific findings through specialist journals, fostering the sharing of research work within the community. Analysis of keyword co-occurrence revealed that "Petiveria alliacea", "plant extract", and "guatemala" were the most frequently encountered terms, indicating their significance within the literature. In terms of study designs, in vivo and in vitro were the predominant types observed, highlighting their prevalence in this field of study. In order to trace the research history of diseases and pests in rubber tree and explore the potential for their natural control, a bibliometric analysis was conducted based on relevant documents retrieved from the Clarivate Analytics Web of Science (WoS) core collection SCI-E database. VOSviewer software was utilized to analyze the research distribution, scientific collaboration, knowledge structure, and research frontiers. The results show that annual publications on the diseases and pests of rubber tree have increased rapidly after 2005 after a long period of emergence and fluctuation. A total of 624 relevant publications from 51 countries/regions were identified. China was the most productive country with 152 documents, most of which were related to Colletotrichum leaf disease, powdery mildew, and other emerging diseases of rubber tree. France and Brazil produced rich research to tackle South American leaf blight, and have established a close collaborative relationship. Based on the analysis of themes and trend topics, pathogenicity mechanisms of fungal pathogens and plant defense mechanisms are currently hot topics. By further looking into the research, the defense-related genes of rubber tree and antagonistic mechanisms behind candidate biocontrol agents reveal great potential in developing natural control strategies. In this study, we summarized the evolution of scientific research about fungus Phakopsora pachyrhizi Sydow & Sydow affecting soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merrill]. We retrieved research articles from the Thomson Reuters Web of Science database that reported studies of the Asian soybean rust (ASR) from 1945 to 2018. We applied the scientometric analysis of the temporal trends of authors, journals, research partnerships, and resistance genes to ASR. Several studies aiming to understand fungal etiology, testing, or improve strategies to control the pathogen were developed. The temporal trends in publications showed an increase in the number of publications between 2005 and 2013. This is directly related to the dissemination of ASR in South and later North America, which facilitates field research and an increase in grant opportunities. The USA had the highest number of published articles (42%), followed by Brazil, Germany, Japan, and Argentina. The leading organizations associated with these publications are from Brazil and the USA. 19% of articles pertaining to ASR were published in the journal Plant Disease. Our results also showed that among the seven dominant genes identified for resistance to ASR, Rpp1, and Rpp2 are the most studied. Several countries, institutions, and plant scientists are deeply involved in ASR research and have been making efforts to control this disease and ensure food security worldwide. Given the current global environmental crisis, restoring degraded ecosystems stands out among the nature‐based solutions to mitigate climate change, reestablish ecosystem services, and maintain biodiversity and human well‐being. The high biodiversity of the Atlantic Forest (AF) and its severe degradation turned it into a "restoration hotspot." We performed a bibliometric analysis of the research on restoration of the Brazilian AF to identify thematic trends, potential gaps, as well as networks and benefits of collaboration. We also explored the spatial distribution of degradation, restoration science, and practice within the AF. We analyzed 932 articles on the issue from the Web of Science platform (1990–2020). Publications abruptly increased in the last 15 years, first by Brazilian groups and later in collaboration with foreign groups. International collaboration increased the probability of highly cited articles. Topics addressed have changed greatly in their relative position over time, likely due to scientific advances refuting theories or invalidating failed techniques. Natural regeneration was the main trending topic, while forest succession was the main emerging topic, and ecosystem services appeared as a trending topic. Research and restoration initiatives were both unevenly distributed throughout the AF region, with the southeastern region of Brazil standing out (60% of publications). The percentage of the original AF undergoing restoration is very low in all regions, regardless of scientific publications or AF extent remaining. The knowledge gaps pointed—climate change and functional traits—should drive priorities for research funding, aiming to provide robust evidence to support decision‐making processes as well as restoration practices. Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the bibliometric profile of dental scientific production related to coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) in Scopus (2019–2020). Materials and Methods: This was a descriptive, observational, comparative, and retrospective study. All manuscripts on COVID-19 in dentistry were published between December 2019 and December 2020. The variables were measured objectively through Scopus (SciVal). For the extraction of the manuscripts, the following keywords were used: "Covid-19" and "Dentistry" with its multiple MeSH terms using the Boolean operators "OR" and "AND". On June 14, 2021, 843 manuscripts corresponding to the period January 2019 to December 2020 were downloaded, normalized, and refined through metadata analysis. Results: The largest number of manuscripts was published in the International Journal of Current Research and Review, Oral Oncology, Oral Diseases, British Dental Journal, and Journal of Dental Education with 54, 50, 49, 48, and 44 manuscripts, respectively. These are the most productive indexed scientific journals on COVID-19. The most productive institutions were Saveetha University, Universidade de São Paulo, and King's College London, with 42, 33, and 27 manuscripts, respectively. In 2019, there were only two scientific publications on COVID-19. In 2020, the largest amount, 228 manuscripts, were published in Q1 journals, followed by 210 manuscripts in Q3 journals, and only 194 manuscripts were published in Q4 journals. Conclusions: Currently, there is a notable increase in global academic production in Scopus on the impact of COVID-19 in dentistry, whereas Brazil is the only South American country with three highly productive universities. The Brazilian açaí industry reached national and international prominence in the last few years. Its final product, mainly frozen pulp, became popular worldwide, accounting for a high market share, including exports. Nevertheless, the solid by‐products arising from the processing are not always discarded in an environmentally suitable manner. This review presents a scientometric analysis of açaí research in the last 27 years (1993 to 2019), applying a longitudinal bibliometric study. Through data analysis, it can be observed that Brazil and the USA are the countries that mostly contributed to the development of açaí research. Although Brazil has more publications, the USA presents more articles in partnership with 21 countries. The results also showed that few documents addressed renewable energy recovery with the following technologies: combustion, pyrolysis, supercritical water hydrolysis, and anaerobic digestion. Further analysis of the anaerobic digestion of the totality of açaí seeds generated in Brazil indicated that, theoretically, the electric energy from biogas burning could supply the whole frozen pulp industry requirement with an additional surplus for sales to the grid. Hence, electricity replacement contributes to greenhouse gas mitigation. The assessment of the potential electric energy generation illustrates how technological integration can be an innovative way to rethink the açaí production chain using a circular economy concept. This research article attempts a bibliometric analysis of global research on biofertilizers carried out from 2000 to 2019. The main purpose of this analysis is in technology foresight; to understand where the research interest lies within the domain of biofertilizer and also to identify the major research networks. The analysis is based on 344 research articles identified using the ISI Web of Science tool, which is processed further using VOSviewer. The results demonstrated that there is an increase in the number of articles, particularly from countries like Brazil, India China, the USA, and Iran. The research focus has been on the assessment of nitrogen fixation capacity of biofertilizers, and the yield improvement due to biofertilizers, and the economics of biofertilizer application. The research into bioactive natural products originating from medicinal plants, fungi and other organisms has a long history, accumulating abundant and diverse publications. However no quantitative literature analysis has been conducted so far. Here we analyze the bibliometric data of ethnopharmacology literature and relate the semantic content to the publication and citation data so that the major research themes, contributors, and journals of different time periods could be identified and evaluated. Web of Science (WoS) was searched to identify relevant publications. The Analyze function of WoS and bibliometric software (VOSviewer) were utilized to perform the analyses. Until the end of November 2018, 59,576 publications -linked to 'ethnopharmacology' indexed by WoS, published since 1958 in more than 5600 journals, and contributed by over 20,600 institutions located in more than 200 countries/regions, were identified. The papers were published under four dominating WoS categories, namely pharmacology/pharmacy (34.4%), plant sciences (28.6%), medicinal chemistry (25.3%), and integrative complementary medicine (20.6%). India (14.6%) and China (13.2%) were dominating the publication space. The United States and Brazil also had more than 8.0% contribution each. The rest of the top ten countries/regions were mainly from Asia. There were around ten-fold more original articles (84.6%) than reviews (8.4%). Ethnopharmacological research has a consistent focus on food and plant sciences, (bio)chemistry, complementary medicine and pharmacology, with a more limited scientific acceptance in the socio-cultural sciences. Dynamic global contributions have been shifting from developed countries to economically and scientifically emerging countries in Asia, South America and the Middle East. Research on recording medicinal plant species used by traditional medicine continues, but the evaluation of specific properties or treatment effects of extracts and compounds has increased enormously. There is considerable variability in publishing performance among psychology journals in Brazil. However, research as to why is very scarce. This study empirically examined the relationship between non-Brazilian contribution and publishing performance, among these journals. A total of 746 articles from the top-18 psychology journals in Brazil were coded for study type, international collaboration, and non-Brazilian contribution. Analyses revealed that publishing performance was associated with the following: (i) international collaboration and (ii) non-Brazilian contribution. Collaboration with, and contribution from, English-speaking authors was more prevalent among the higher performing journals; while contribution from non-Brazilian Ibero-American authors was more prevalent among the lower performing journals. These findings suggest that publishing performance for psychology journals in Brazil may be strongly tied to non-Brazilian contribution. Aim: To explore the profile of articles on traumatic dental injuries (TDI) in the primary dentition published in Dental Traumatology in the last 15 years using bibliometric analysis.Methods: Three researchers read all titles and abstracts of articles published in Dental Traumatology between 2000 and 2014 (excluding editorials and letters) and selected all articles on TDI in the primary dentition. The articles were categorized according to year of publication, country in which the study was conducted, study design, and topics addressed. Divergences were resolved by consensus between the researchers.Results: Among a total of 1257 articles published, 98 were initially excluded. Among the remaining 1159 articles, 152 (13.1%) focused on TDI in the primary dentition. The articles were conducted in 29 countries, with Brazil (38.8%) and Turkey (11.8%) accounting for the largest numbers. Cross-sectional studies (36.2%) and case report/case series (33.6%) were the most frequent study designs. Only two systematic reviews were published. The most commonly addressed topics were frequency/etiology/associated factors (36.8%), treatment (30.9%), and prognosis (19.7%). Among the articles addressing treatment, two-thirds were case reports or case series. The effects of TDI in primary teeth on their permanent successors were addressed in 20.4% of the articles (31/152).Conclusions: The number of articles on TDI in the primary dentition has increased, but remains low. The evaluation of study designs and topics addressed identified gaps that could contribute to the development of new studies on TDI in the primary dentition, especially cohort studies that evaluate risk factors, prognosis, and treatment. Background: Transgender community is marginalized and under-researched. Analysis of peer-reviewed literature in transgender health is needed to better understand health needs and human rights of transgender people. Therefore, the aim of this study was to analyze global research activity in transgender health published in peer-reviewed journals. Methods: Peer-reviewed documents in transgender health were retrieved using Scopus database. VOSviewer was used to map frequently encountered author keywords while ArcGIS 10.1 was used to map the geographical distribution of the retrieved documents. Most active countries, institutions, and authors were presented. The study period was set from 1900 to 2017. Results: In total, 5772 peer-reviewed documents were obtained. English (5008; 86.8%) was the most frequently encountered language. A dramatic increase in the number of publications was seen in the last decade. The retrieved documents had an average of 12.1 citations per document and h-index of 92. Most frequently encountered author keywords were Human immunodeficiency virus infection and acquired immune deficiency syndrome (HIV/AIDS), mental health, and discrimination. Authors from 80 different countries contributed to publishing the retrieved documents. Publications originated mainly from Northern America, certain European countries, Australia, and Brazil. Professor Gooren, L.J.G. was the most active author in this field with 104 (1.88%) publications. Top active authors were in the fields of endocrinology, plastic surgery, psychiatry/psychology, public health, and sexology. Five of the top ten active authors were from the USA, three were from the Netherlands, and two were from Belgium. The most active institution was the VU University Medical Center (Netherlands) (184; 3.2%) followed by the University of California, San Francisco (USA) (157; 2.7%). The International Journal of Transgenderism was most active (284; 4.9%) in publishing articles in transgender health. However, documents published in the American Journal of Public Health had the highest impact with 53.5 citations per article. Conclusion: There was a noticeable growth of research in transgender health in the last decade.
