Nowadays, progressive technologies - technologies of bituminous materials reprocessing are used more and more in road constructions. Recycling is one of possible solutions of material and energy saving, as well as environment protection. In order to maximize such savings, it is crucial to know how the recycled material influences final characteristics of the mixtures and how the mixture consisting of recycled materials will behave in the road pavement construction. The deformation characteristics of road building materials are important inputs for the project and design of the road pavement structure. Modulus of elasticity, compressive modulus and Poisson number are considered the most important deformation characteristics. Knowledge about these deformation characteristics is very important for the design and assessment of mixtures with R-materials (recycled materials). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
