A recent report from investigators at the University of Sydney explores the impact of lockdown severity on working from home (WFH) in three different city regions in Australia. The study found that regardless of the severity and duration of the lockdowns, employee preferences for WFH and productivity remained unchanged. In fact, the desire to continue WFH seemed to intensify as lockdown periods extended. The researchers argue that measures to support ongoing WFH are important for sustainable cities and their residents. This research has been peer-reviewed and provides valuable insights into the potential implications of WFH for cities. [Extracted from the article]
