Since its establishment in the Jordanian capital in 1991, the "Middle East Studies Center"(MESC) has been keen to achieve its political, cultural, scientific, and media goals. The center's Journal, the "Middle Eastern Studies journal"(MESJ), is essential to achieving these goals. It was published for the first time in 1996. MESJ is the first Journal in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan as a specialized refereed publication. The Journal is concerned with studies, analyses, and reviews related to the dynamic transformations in the Middle East and its future. In addition, the global changes related to the Middle East are under publication interest. This report overviewed the academic materials issued in the Journal and analyzed its content in the series of issues of the Journal; the 100th was published at the beginning of July 2022. The report concluded that the topics of the hundred numbers are divided into seven main axes: Jordanian issues and affairs by 11%, the Palestinian cause by 26%, Arab matters, experiences, and relations by 25%, international issues, positions, and concerns by 10%, regional issues, events and concerns by 6%, Israeli and Zionist events and affairs by 5%, and books and university theses and dissertations for review and bibliography files by 17%. The report recommends that the Journal is in the libraries of Jordanian and Arab official and private universities because it contains research papers, scientific studies, and political, economic, social, and cultural analyses that teachers, students, researchers, and readers have to know. Purpose: This paper aims to describe the migration steps taken by a humanities librarian to create a new searchable website for an indigenous bibliography on the Omeka.net cloud-based service. Design/methodology/approach: Using CSV files and Excel, the bibliography entries were moved from the old website to the new one, carefully mapping the descriptive information into Qualified Dublin Core metadata elements. Findings: After resolving diacritic and other data normalization issues, the new site was created in Omeka.net with ease. The plugins available for Omeka.net allowed the editor to geolocate the site of publications. Using TimelineJS, the editor was able to create several timelines and link them to the new CanInuit website as an exhibition. The bibliography of this paper is provably the most unspeakable, out of fashion, no longer necessary or relevant set of references ever published in a sociology journal. They are not the least cited, but the most forgotten. These books and articles were at one point quite famous among publishing sociologists but have since suffered near-complete extinction. The explanations of these famous works' unlikely demise reflect the mechanisms and history of the maintenance and change of the discipline, such as obliteration by incorporation, topical and epistemological shifts in the field, founder-selection, the effects of reputation entrepreneurship, and the shifting of what is intellectually unspeakable. I give this index of the forgotten some face-validity by reviewing exegetical work on "forgotten" sociologists and by conducting qualitative analysis (autopsies) of the biggest falls in conversation with the history of sociology and the sociology of science. Articles related to adapted physical activity appearing in professional journals (1984-1998) were analyzed. Of the 111 articles reviewed, 30 (27%), 39 (35%), and 42 (38%) were published during the 1984-1988, 1989-1993, and 1994-1998 time periods, respectively. Two thirds of the studies concerned conditions/demographics/practices rather than attitudes. Only 34 (31%) surveys were mailed as opposed to other forms of delivery (e.g., face to face interviews, telephone, etc.). While validity and reliability reporting increased over the three time periods, in total, only 59 (53%) reported validity and 62 (56%) reported reliability. A sample frame was clearly identified in only 43 (39%) studies. Only 7 (6%) articles addressed nonresponse bias, a critical element in survey research design. The present study aims to analyse the publications that preceded the Muzica Journal [The Music], with a focus on their critical evolution: Gazeta Teatrului Na.ional [National Theatre Journal, 1835-1836], Musicul român [Romanian Music, 1861], Eco musicale di Romania [1869-1871], Lyra româna [Romanian Lyra, 1879-1880], Arta [The Art, 1883-1885, 1894-1896], Doina [The Doina, 1884-1886], Musa româna [Romanian Muse, 1888, 1894-1895, 1906-1907], Romania musicala [Musical Romania, 1890-1904]. I will also emphasize their bibliographic aspects and the references to musical criticism, where appropriate. I will present the bibliographic details of the Muzica Journal (1908-1910, 1916; 1919-1923, 1925; 1950-present), as well as the musical criticism references of the same publication. The removal of Beall’s blog may result in increased numbers of predatory journals and their subsequent victims. Recognizing this, the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME) suggested criteria for identifying predatory journals in a statement issued on February 18, 2017. These criteria may be helpful in the current scenario of scientific publishing. However, a few lapses and limitations need to be taken into account when translating these policies to the situation in developing countries. This letter presents several cases of legitimate journals and platforms from the developing world that may be erroneously categorized as predatory according to the WAME criteria. The article presents a bibliography of sports articles published in various periodicals. "Sex Roles, Social Change and Cultural Ideals of Fitness," by Janicemarie Allard published in "Leisure Information Quarterly" discusses the ideological framework that supports the physical fitness movement and identifies health consequences and personal attractiveness as two major components. It cosiders the differential importance of sex as a variable when considering fitness and health, and discusses how the ideal physical appearance for men and women changes over time. "Participant Perceptions of Exercise Programs for Overweight Women" by Linda L. Bain, Timothy Wilson and Ellie Chaikind, published in "Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport" examines issues related to the design and delivery of an exercise program for over-weight women. Women ranging in age from 25 to 61 years and in weight from 150 to 290 pounds underwent interviews regarding weight history and exercise patterns; they participated in a series of exercise sessions followed by discussions of their reactions to various forms of exercise.

With an increasing number of Iranian journals indexed in global citation databases such as the Web of Science (WoS), it is important to identify to what extent these journals are "internationalized" and if the international composition of these journals influences their quality. To ascertain this, a total of 38 Iranian journals covered in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) 2013 was sampled. The internationalization of Iranian journals is considered in terms of: (a) direct contributions in terms of foreign authors' articles published in Iran, (b) indirect contribution in terms of citations from foreign authors' documents to articles published in Iranian journals, and (c) editorial board composition in the field drawn internationally from foreign institutions. Findings revealed that (a) foreign researchers contributed 34.8% of papers in Iranian WoS-indexed journals, (b) a total of 30.6% of citations to Iranian WoS-indexed journals were received from foreign papers or Iranian internationally collaborative papers, and (c) foreign researchers occupied 33.6% of the editorial board membership in Iranian journals. The study found that only two Iranian journals in environmental sciences and chemistry have Impact Factors (IFs) above the median of the journals in the disciplinary category areas in which they are classified in JCR (general medicine, applied mathematics, civil engineering, environmental sciences, chemistry, polymer science, agriculture, and agronomy). Additionally, eight Iranian journals have been placed in the first and second quartile (top 50%) of journals of the same field in the JCR. This article explores how the Slovenian women’s lifestyle magazine Naša žena (Our Woman) helped the Yugoslavian socialist project construct and shape the ideal socialist woman, and argues that she became the crucial ally in implementing socialist ideas in the everyday lives of Slovenians. The article shows how texts on food preparation and consumption, as well as those touching on household management and family care, published in Naša žena from 1960 to 1991 played an important part in the ‘civilising’ process that shaped behaviour, directed cultural and social practices, influenced social relations and constructed women’s identities during socialism. We show how food-related texts (articles, recipes, columns, advertisements and advertorials) were never far removed from the larger political and economic socialist realities. In fact, they bore witness to changes in living standards and told stories about gender regimes, socialist ideologies and fantasies. These texts belong to a corpus of social transcripts that guide collective understandings of what it means to select, prepare, cook and eat food; what constitutes good cooking and eating; and who is responsible for preparing meals. Despite official socialist feminist rhetoric about freeing women from backward patriarchal arrangements, this article shows that texts offering food-related advice in socialist Yugoslavia contained explicit instructions for the ‘correct’ performance of the social roles of women, legitimising women’s roles as worker, mother, wife and housekeeper. Above all, a woman was to be an ‘engineer’ of the private domain whose goals were to feed her family and keep the nation healthy and hence productive, and to modernise her kitchen in support of the technological and economic development of Yugoslavia. The academic study of video games has grown substantially since 2001, the year Game Studies published its first articles. Yet ludology remains a young field, and many of its journals have yet to attain widespread recognition. Moreover, these journals are unevenly indexed and therefore invisible to searchers accustomed to web-scale discovery and library databases. Here, then, is an annotated bibliography of the major journals publishing video game scholarship. The list is not comprehensive; doubtless there are startups and quasi-journals I have overlooked. But these are the leading venues in which game scholarship is published. This article presents a bibliometric analysis ofMarketing Education Reviewfrom its inception in 1990 until 2014. A brief history of the journal is presented and its content is analyzed. In total, 706 articles were studied in terms of their authorship, manuscript, and content characteristics. Descriptive statistics provide an overview of the research contribution. The findings show a trend toward coauthorship and longer manuscripts. On the basis of a keyword analysis, articles are related to education institutions, teachers, students and curriculum, which is aligned with the journal’s mandate. Objective. This paper investigated the possibility of SCImago Journal Rank (SJR) indicator as an alternative to the Journal Impact Factor (JIF) in the field of dentistry. Method. The SJR and JIF scores and ranking order of 88 dental journals were downloaded from the relevant websites. Pearson and Spearman correlation coefficients were calculated to test hypotheses for association between the two journal quality metrics. Result. A very strong positive correlation was found between the scores and ranking order based on the SJR and JIF of selected journals. Internationalization has become a widely accepted goal among all stakeholders in science, who seek visibility across national borders from an exogenous logic in the process of knowledge construction. With this in mind, the road map of Universitas Psychologica -on its way to internationalization- is analyzed. It is concluded that such publication is a reference in the scientific debate of Psychology, given the predominant weight of foreign production, driven mainly by foreign author collaboration; this openness is replicated in domestic production and in the journal usage, whose downloads take place primarily outside the journal's country. The paper brings out the results of a bibliometric analysis of the journal titled "Asia-Pacific Journal of Management Research and Innovation" published by Asia-Pacific Institute of Management, New Delhi for the period from 2005 to 2015. The data are downloaded from the journal's website. This study aims at analysing the research output performance of management science. The analysis cover mainly the year-wise distribution of contributions in their different volumes, authorship pattern, degree of collaboration, length of papers, citation pattern, average citation per contribution per volume, subject wise distribution of papers. All the studies point towards the merits and weakness of the journal which will be helpful for its further development. The Journal published 11 volumes, 37 issues and 533 research articles during the period 2005-2015. The result shows that out of 533 articles joint authors contributed 296 (55%) articles while the rest 237 (45%) articles are contributed by single author. The study reveals the domination of collaborative research and the degree of collaboration (DC) in Asia-Pacific Journal of Management Research and Innovation is found to be 0.55. The numbers of references used by the authors are high with majority of them citing 21 to 40 references and on an average, Asia-Pacific Journal of Management Research and Innovation authors have cited over 33 references per article. Based on the most recent information about the old books from Cluj, we are aware of a number of sixty-two almanacs printed in this town during the 17TH century. Although the look and content of these almanacs did not change significantly during these years, almost each printer tried to include something new in order to facilitate a better selling of the product. The detailed presentation of the content of these books and the highlighting of the different changes that occurred in some of the almanacs printed in Cluj can provide new information about this genre. The range and types of performance metrics has recently proliferated in academic settings, with bibliometric indicators being particularly visible examples. One field that has traditionally been hospitable towards such indicators is biomedicine. Here the relative merits of bibliometrics are widely discussed, with debates often portraying them as heroes or villains. Despite a plethora of controversies, one of the most widely used indicators in this field is said to be the Journal Impact Factor (JIF). In this article we argue that much of the current debates around researchers' uses of the JIF in biomedicine can be classed as 'folk theories': explanatory accounts told among a community that seldom (if ever) get systematically checked. Such accounts rarely disclose how knowledge production itself becomes more-or-less consolidated around the JIF. Using ethnographic materials from different research sites in Dutch University Medical Centers, this article sheds new empirical and theoretical light on how performance metrics variously shape biomedical research on the 'shop floor.' The author reflects on the state of comparative and international education with an emphasis on the 2013 "Comparative Education Review" bibliography. Journals are the main vehicles for disseminating research publications and one can gauge the standard of research in the country through its publications. India has a growing population of researchers and academics who want to publish and search for easy outlets guaranteeing quick publication. Indian journals as a whole and LIS journals in particular fail miserably when it comes to maintaining quality. There should be a first received first reviewed and first published policy to be adopted by Indian LIS journals. Indian journal editors need to be more communicative with authors and they should adopt the best practices followed by the international journal editors. Indian LIS researchers have few journals and conference proceedings to publish their papers on the one hand and there is a need to publish more papers for professional progress. This has become important especially in the aftermath of the Academic Performance Indicators (APIs) introduced by the UGC after the VI Central Pay Revision where 55% of API scores can be claimed through publications. Through consortia based access, LIS researchers are exposed to what is being studied in the advanced countries. Thus more number of papers by LIS researchers from India are appearing in international journals. There are also many papers getting wasted in conference proceedings and festschrift volumes and editor interest driven book chapters. Such publications never have a wider reach and suffer from poor bibliographic control. Authors and researchers need to conserve their research output by opting for its wider dissemination and better visibility by opting to publish in quality journals and they can strengthen Indian journals only by publishing their best papers in these journals. Secondary sources of information are unavoidable in evaluation of scientific paper or in the title advancement. Journal indexation in citation databases is crucial for scientists and for editors of journals indexed in significant databases to achieve finacial support of Ministry of science, education and sport. Aim and purpose of paper is showing indexation of Croatian scientific and professional journals in citated databases Web of Science and Scopus. Method of the paper is bibliometric analysis, respectively data comparison concerning number of journals in databases Web of Science and Scopus, their analysis due to scientific field, language indexation in some articles of the journals, year of indexation, impact factor, h-index of individual authors in best rated journals in JCR database and due to indexing of foreign authors in individual journals. According to bibliometric results, 62 Croatian scientific and professional journals, including 6 from biotechnological fields are indexed in three citation index of Web of Science. In papers of domestic journals from biotechnological field indexed in Science Citation Index Expanded dominates English language. The highest amount of processed units belongs to Croatian authors, while more than two third is signed by foreign authors. According to data of Journal Citation Reports, The Science Edition for 2011, in the group of biotechnological journals, Food Technology and Biotechnology has the highest impact factor (1,195). At the beginning of 2013, 120 Croatian scientific and professional journals from all fields and 32 from biotechnological fields were indexed in Scopus. Food Technology and Biotechnology ranks highest following SJR indicator (0,492), according to SC Imago Journal & Country Rank portal for 2011 that included 116 Croatian journals. The present study has been carried out on the extent of self-citations in Annals of Library and Information Studies during the period of 2002-2012. The results indicate that 53.72% of the articles contain self-citations. Out of total 5261 citations, the 636 (12.08%) citations are self-citations. Frequency of self-citations per article ranges from one to forty three. Almost 1/5th authors have cited themselves. Most of the citations appear in the present title of the journal. Since 1 January 2006 the Copernicus Provincial Public Library in Toruń has participated in the creation of an electronic bibliographic database ("Articles from Polish dailies and weeklies (MARC21, 2005-)". This constitutes part of the present Polish national bibliography, as it has emerged from the Bibliography of the Content of Periodicals. The database is available free of charge at: http:// mak.bn.org.pl/cgi-bin/makwww.exe?BM=26. The Common Press Database in the Copernicus Library in Toruń is being created by the employees of the Information- Bibliography Department. At present we are preparing two periodicals in the MAK system: "Tygodnik Solidarność" and "Dziennik Gazeta Prawna". Since 2006 we have introduced 33,998 bibliographic records to the bibliography of articles from dailies and weeklies. This constitutes 1/6 of the content of the whole database created by 14 libraries. The only library which has introduced more entries is the National Library. The database contains 209,404 documents and has been visited by 599,408 users, which means that over 1/3 of the users checking the Bibliography of the Content of Periodicals use the Common Press Database despite the fact that it records only 25 periodicals.
