During tunneling processes, disc cutters of a tunnel boring machine (TBM) usually need to be frequently and unexpectedly replaced. Regular inspections are needed to check disc cutters' status, which significantly reduces the work efficiency and increases the cost. This paper proposes a new prediction model based on TBM operational parameters and geological conditions that determines whether disc cutter replacement is needed. Firstly, an evaluation criterion for whether the cutters need to be replaced is constructed. Secondly, specific parameters related to the evaluation criterion are analyzed and 18 features are established on tunneling monitoring information. Then, the mapping model between the cutter replacement judgement and the established features is built based on a kernel support vector machine (KSVM). Finally, the data obtained from a Jilin water transport tunnel project is utilized to verify the performance of the proposed model. Test results show that the new model can obtain an average accuracy of 90.0% and an average F1 score of 86.2% on field data prediction based on data from past tunneling days. Therefore, the proposed data-predictive model can be used in tunneling to accurately predict whether disc cutters need to be replaced before human judgment, and thereby greatly improve tunneling safety and efficiency. Dispersive soils are highly sensitive to moisture content, and its particles are prone to hydraulic erosion and scouring. The objective of this study is to determine the impact of antecedent moisture content on the erosion of dispersive soils in the Zhenlai area and establish erosion characteristics. The soil samples were collected from the Zhenlai area in the western part of Jilin Province, China. The erodibility was assessed at five different antecedent moisture content levels (with a 2% increment) by simulating rainfall in a laboratory setting on small-scale slopes. The results indicate that there are significant differences in erosion characteristics among slopes with different antecedent moisture content levels. The sediment yield from slopes with antecedent moisture content above the optimum moisture content is 60% lower compared to slopes with moisture content below the optimum moisture content. The optimum moisture content was served as a clear erosion threshold. When introducing the soil parameter of matric suction, it was found that it effectively characterizes the sensitivity of dispersive soils in this area to variations in antecedent moisture content and their impact on slope erosion. Mastering the lodging risk of planting environment is of great significance to the optimal layout of maize varieties and the breeding of lodging resistant varieties. However, the existing lodging risk models are still at the stage of single or multi-factors independent analysis, and lack of assessment for different lodging types. To address this issue, based on the mechanism of different lodging types, the Archimedean copula function was used to describe the joint probability distribution of wind speed and precipitation, and the lodging risk assessment model of maize was established. By comparing the goodness of fit, when the rank correlation coefficient of these two is positive and negative, the corresponding optimal joint probability distribution functions are the Gumbel copula and Frank copula. According to the spatial distribution of lodging risk, the area from Liaodong Bay northward to Tongyu, Jilin province in the Northeast and the North China Plain has a high frequency of lodging, in which the probability of stalk lodging is two to four times that of root lodging. Finally, we discussed how to apply the lodging risk distribution results to optimize the maize variety test sites to improve the efficiency and reliability of the existing test system. Zircon U–Pb geochronology and Hf–O isotope composition provide important information on geological events. This matrix-matched reference material is routinely used to yield accurate and precise zircon U–Pb ages and Hf–O isotope ratios with in situ techniques. In this study, a new potential zircon reference material (Jilin) separated from gabbro diorite was introduced for microbeam U–Pb age and Hf–O isotope analysis. The obtained average U, Th, Pb, Lu and Hf concentrations were 439 ± 26 ppm (1 s), 378 ± 39 ppm (1 s), 67.6 ± 1.6 ppm (1 s), 54.6 ± 6.5 ppm (1 s), and 9135 ± 510 ppm (1 s) respectively. The chemical abrasion isotope dilution thermal ionization mass-spectrometry (CA-ID-TIMS) method yielded a Th-corrected weighted mean 206Pb/238U age of 117.63 ± 0.04 Ma (2 s, MSWD = 1.9). The homogeneity of U–Pb ages in Jilin zircon was also investigated in two independent secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) laboratories and four different laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) laboratories. The obtained mean 206Pb/238U ages with SIMS and LA-ICP-MS were 116.8 ± 2.9 Ma and 117.8 ± 2.7 Ma, respectively, which are consistent with the CA-ID-TIMS value within the analytical uncertainties. The distribution of Hf isotopic composition was evaluated with LA-multicollector-ICP-MS (LA-MC-ICP-MS) and solution MC-ICP-MS. The results acquired in two LA-MC-ICP-MS laboratories were identical to the solution value with a mean 176Hf/177Hf ratio of 0.282926 ± 0.000014 (2SD, n = 17). The O isotope obtained with the laser fluorination method is also in agreement with the SIMS analysis with the recommended mean δ18O value of 6.05 ± 0.25‰ (2SD, n = 8). The results obtained with multianalytical techniques clearly indicate that the U–Pb age and Hf–O isotopic composition are homogenous in Jilin zircon grains. We propose the Jilin zircon as a potential reference material for the primary external calibration or monitoring of analytical validation for Mesozoic U–Pb geochronology and Hf–O isotopic measurements. Jilin oilfield has great potential of tight oil resources and the reservoir physical property is poor. The conventional hydraulic fracturing technology was easy to cause reservoir pollution and delayed the energy supplement, so the oil well production declined rapidly. Carbon dioxide water free fracturing technology has the advantages of increasing formation energy, reducing reservoir damage and mixing crude oil. Based on the study of viscosity, sand carrying capacity and filtration characteristics of liquid carbon dioxide fracturing fluid system. sand adding test of carbon dioxide anhydrous fracturing technology is carried out in this paper. Through optimizing thickener type II fracturing fluid to enhance the viscosity of carbon dioxide, adopting the sand adding method combining slug with continuous sand adding, optimizing the proportion of pre-fluid. perfecting the sand adding process, and increasing the sand adding scale, the viscosity of fracturing fluid system is increased by 15-45 times and the effect is obviously better than that of thickener type 1. By using carbon dioxide water free sand fracturing technology, the daily oil production of 10 wells is more than twice of the conventional heavy pressure, and the water resources of a single well can be saved by 1512 m³. According to the requirement of energy sustainable development strategy in Jilin province, this paper evaluates the performance of wind power coupling compressed air energy storage projects for a wind farm in Jilin from the perspective of sustainability. Firstly, a sustainable criteria system is established from economic, social and ecological dimensions, and 10 secondary criteria are given. Secondly, to fully express the hesitancy and fuzziness of experts, linguistic fuzzy hesitant sets (LFHSs) are used to describe the subjective evaluation information. And then, the cloud model is developed to deal with the randomness and fuzziness of LFHS. Thirdly, a multi criteria decision-making model based on improved Choquet fuzzy integral and deviation degree is proposed for a multi criteria evaluation problem with initial data in the form of crisp values, interval numbers and linguistic fuzzy hesitant sets. The deviation degree can deal with multi-source heterogeneous data and Choquet fuzzy integral improved with Mobius transformation can eliminate the overlap information between criteria. Finally, the case study in Jilin is given to illustrate the effective of the proposed evaluation criteria and technique. From the results, the project 4: wind power coupling compressed air energy storage system with meshing switch is the most suitable alternative for the wand farm, followed by the project of wind power coupling compressed air energy storage system with variable configuration. Moreover, the sensitivity analysis reveals that the project 4 always occupies its top ranking when its weight is floating within a certain range. [Display omitted] • The Bainaimiao arc belt has a tectonic affinity different from the North China Craton. • The Precambrian basement of the Bainaimiao arc belt is laterally heterogeneous. • The Bainaimiao arc belt is an early Paleozoic composite arc system. As an important part of the southeastern boundary of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt (CAOB), the Bainaimiao arc belt, particularly its tectonic affinity and Precambrian basement composition, is an important element to provide new insights about the crustal growth of the CAOB. However, these remain poorly understood. This paper presents new geochronological, whole-rock geochemical and zircon Hf isotope data on early Paleozoic intrusive rocks from the Bainaimiao arc belt in the southeastern CAOB. The Ordovician gabbroic diorites in the Zhengxiangbaiqi area of the western Bainaimiao arc belt have low SiO 2 contents (51.73–54.82 wt%), high TiO 2 (0.99–1.07 wt%) and TFe 2 O 3 contents (9.68–9.89 wt%), depletions in Nb, Ta and Ti, and positive ε Hf (t) values (6.8–11.3). These rocks generated from partial melting of a mantle wedge that has been metasomatized by subducted-derived fluids. The Silurian monzogranites in the Zhengxiangbaiqi area have high contents of SiO 2 (72.61–75.12 wt%) and K 2 O (2.75–4.12 wt%), positive ε Hf (t) values (0.7–9.3) and abundant Precambrian inherited zircons. These monzogranites originated from partial melting of the thickened juvenile crustal components with significant ancient crustal contamination. The Silurian granites and granodiorites in the Faku area of the eastern Bainaimiao arc belt are characterized by high Na 2 O contents (4.00–4.52 wt%), high Sr/Y ratios, low MgO (1.15–1.74 wt%) and K 2 O contents (0.52–1.42 wt%), low K 2 O/Na 2 O ratios, and positive ε Hf (t) values ranging from 0.6 to 8.1. These rocks were derived from partial melting of a subducted slab interacted with mantle peridotite. New zircon U-Pb-Hf isotope data from these early Paleozoic intrusive rocks combined with previous results indicate that the Precambrian basement of the Bainaimiao arc belt is laterally heterogeneous, with Neoarchean-Paleoproterozoic basement beneath the western Bainaimiao arc belt and Paleo-Mesoproterozoic basement beneath the central Jilin area in the eastern Bainaimiao arc belt. The Bainaimiao arc belt has a tectonic affinity different from the North China Craton (NCC) and represents a composite arc system consisting of an ensialic island arc with a basement composition similar to that of the Precambrian microcontinents in the CAOB in the Bayan Obo-Damaoqi-Bainaimiao-Zhengxiangbaiqi and central Jilin areas and an oceanic island arc in the Ongniud-Faku and southern Jilin areas. The external environment in the transitional zone of the ecological barrier is fragile, and economic growth has resulted in a series of land degradation issues, significantly impacting regional economic development and the ecological environment. Therefore, monitoring, assessing, and predicting land use changes are crucial for ecological security and sustainable development. This study developed an integrated model comprising convolutional neural network, cellular automata, and Markov chain to forecast the land use status of western Jilin, located in the transitional zone of the ecological barrier, by the year 2030. Additionally, the study evaluated the role of land use policies in the context of land use changes in western Jilin. The findings demonstrate that the coupled modeling approach exhibits excellent predictive performance for land use prediction in western Jilin, yielding a Kappa coefficient of 93.26%. Policy drivers play a significant role in shaping land use patterns in western Jilin, as evidenced by the declining farmland accompanied by improved land utilization, the sustained high levels of forest aligning with sustainable development strategies, the ongoing restoration of waters and grassland, which are expected to show positive growth by 2030, and the steady growth in built-up areas. This study contributes to understanding the dynamics of land use in the transitional zone of the ecological barrier, thereby promoting sustainable development and ecological resilience in the region. Purpose: This study aimed to translate and cross-culturally adapt the cardiac rehabilitation barriers scale to the Chinese, and examine its reliability and validity among the older population. Methods: An approach comprising translation, cultural adaptation, reliability, and validity examination in the Chinese version was conducted in two hospitals in Jilin, China. The t-tests were used to compare the sex differences between each item. Participants included Chinese individuals > 60 who were eligible for the cardiac rehabilitation program. Results: In total, 325 participants completed the questionnaire with an average age of 61.23 ±  9.68 years. The item-total correlations were 0.432 to 0.678. Factor analysis of CRBS-C (Kaiser Meyer Olkin = 0.867, Bartlett's test p = 0.000) revealed four factors: logistical factors, comorbidities/functional status, perceived need/healthcare factors, and work/time conflict. The confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) indicated a good model fit (χ 2/df = 1.84, RMSEA = 0.051, CFI = 0.953, TLI = 0.945, SRMR=0.046). Cronbach's alpha was 0.88 for the scale, ranging from 0.801 to 0.88 for each item, which indicates the internal reliability was acceptable. Vaccinium corymbosum L., commonly known as blueberry, is a valuable small fruit tree in terms of its economic significance and is primarily found in China within the regions of Heilongjiang and Jilin provinces. Additionally, it thrives in the areas spanning the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. Beyond their economic value, blueberries play a crucial role within forest ecosystems, serving as a significant energy source and source of nutrients. Their presence contributes significantly to fostering stability, enhancing biodiversity, and acting as an indicator of environmental quality within forest ecosystems. Since August 2022, an unknown leaf disease has been found on a large scale in blueberry fields in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China. The disease causes leaf curling, wilting, and even early defoliation, severely reducing the yield and production value of blueberries. The pathogenicity test confirmed the virulence of the isolates (NG5-1, NG5-2, NG5-3, NG5-4, N2-1, and N2-2) against V. corymbosum. The two pathogens were identified as Colletotrichum fructicola and C. aenigma by observing the morphological characteristics of the isolates and combined with multilocus phylogenetic analyses (ITS, CAL, ACT, TUB2, ApMat, and GAPDH). Blueberry anthracnose, caused by C. aenigma, is the first report of this disease in China. The biological characteristics of C. aenigma were investigated under different conditions, including temperature, pH, light conditions, culture medium, and carbon and nitrogen sources. The optimal temperature for growth was determined to be within the range of 25–30 °C; C. aenigma exhibits optimal growth at a pH of 7–8. Mycelial growth is favored under conditions of partial light, whereas complete darkness promotes spore production. It was found that PDA medium was the most favorable medium for C. aenigma mycelial growth, and MM medium was the best medium for spore production; the most suitable carbon sources for colony growth and spore production were sorbitol and glucose, respectively, and the most suitable nitrogen source was peptone. Studies on the Food-Energy-Water Nexus can help researchers, policy makers, practitioners, and stakeholders identify opportunities to maintain the nexus' synergies and trade-offs. Water, the most sensitive element in the Food-Energy-Water Nexus, readily influences the stability, cooperativity, and safety of the nexus. The key initiative to ensure water security in the Food-Energy-Water Nexus is properly handling water for food and energy production, but the existed conceptual framework and evaluation system are incomplete. This paper uses the Driver-Pressure-State-Impact-Response model and the water footprint theory to construct an optimization approach to evaluate the synergy and competition for water between food and energy at five levels. This optimization approach was tested and implemented based on a case study of 31 provinces in the Chinese Mainland from 1997 to 2016. The results showed that the blue water footprint of 31 provinces was 263.48 Gm3 in 2016, and the gray water footprint was 1518.57 Gm3, which led to inter-industry competitive water use and water unsustainability. In 2016, the 31 provinces had developed into Industry Synergy Sustainability scenario (1 province), Industry Synergy Unsustainability scenario (9 provinces), Industry Competition Unsustainability scenario (16 provinces), and Industry Competition Sustainability scenario (5 provinces), presenting a spatially clustered distribution pattern. Except for Xinjiang and Jilin, the remaining 29 provinces gradually developed into sustainable or synergistic scenarios. The total production water footprint in the Industry Competition Unsustainability scenario reached 4.08 m3/kg in 2016, while the Industry Synergy Sustainability scenario was only 3.67 m3/kg. This paper proposes two response paths, based on market allocation and administrative means, to facilitate the gradual evolution of the Industry Competition Unsustainability scenario into the Industry Synergy Sustainability scenario. Fine classification of wetland vegetation communities using machine learning algorithm and high spatial resolution images have attracted increased attention. However, there exist several challenges in image fusion, data dimension reduction and algorithm tuning. To resolve these issues, this paper attempts to fuse Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) images with spaceborne Jilin-1 (JL101K) multispectral images for classifying vegetation communities of karst wetland using the optimized Random Forest (RF), Extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost) and Light Gradient Boosting (LightGBM) algorithms. This study also quantitatively evaluates image fusion quality from spatial detail and spectral fidelity, and explores the effects of different image feature combinations and classifiers on mapping vegetation communities by variable selection and dimensionality reduction. Finally, this paper further evaluates and quantifies the importance and contribution rate of feature variables for typical vegetation communities using Recursive feature elimination (RFE) algorithm. The results showed that: (1) the Gram-Schmidt (GS)algorithm produced the high-quality fusion image of JL101K and UAV, and the fusion image achieved higher overall accuracy (82.8%) than the original JL101K multispectral image; (2) UAV multispectral image and its derivatives (scheme 3) achieved the highest overall accuracy (87.8%) in all classification schemes; (3) The optimized object-based LightGBM algorithm outperformed XGBoost and RF algorithm, which provided an improvement of 0.6%∼3.5% in overall accuracy (OA). McNemar's test indicated that there existed significant differences in vegetation communities' classification between the three algorithms. (4) The average accuracy (AA) of vegetation communities in karst wetlands was mainly ranged from 60% to 90%. Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture in Jilin province is the largest settlement of Chinese Koreans in China. The floating population surveillance survey conducted by the National Population and Family Planning Commission in 2011 suggested that 47 percent of Chinese Korean out-migrants are women. The results of our binary logistic regression show that married women aged 20-59, with higher educational levels and agricultural household registration status, are more likely to migrate. A multinomial logistic regression indicates that household category does not play a significant role in out-migration. Furthermore, women aged between 20 and 59 with higher educational levels are more likely to choose South Korea as their destination, while married women and women with no formal education are more likely to move to other provinces in China. In recent years, most multibeam echo sounders (MBESs) have been able to collect water column image (WCI) data while performing seabed topography measurements, providing effective data sources for gas-leakage detection. However, there can be systematic (e.g., sidelobe interference) or natural disturbances in the images, which may introduce challenges for automatic detection of gas leaks. In this paper, we design two data-processing schemes to estimate motion velocities based on the Farneback optical flow principle according to types of WCIs, including time-angle and depth-across track images. Moreover, by combining the estimated motion velocities with the amplitudes of the image pixels, several decision thresholds are used to eliminate interferences, such as the seabed, non-gas backscatters in the water column, etc. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, we simulated the scenarios of pipeline leakage in a pool and the Songhua Lake, Jilin Province, China, and used a HT300 PA MBES (it was developed by Harbin Engineering University and its operating frequency is 300 kHz) to collect acoustic data in static and dynamic conditions. Aspergillus, as a genus of filamentous fungi, has members that display a variety of different behavioural strategies, which are affected by various environmental factors. The decoded genomic sequences of many species vary greatly in their evolutionary similarities, encouraging studies on the functions and evolution of the Aspergillus genome in complex natural environments. Here, we present the 26 Mb de novo assembled high-quality reference genome of Aspergillus glaucus 'China Changchun halophilic Aspergillus' (CCHA), which was isolated from the surface of plants growing near a salt mine in Jilin, China, based on data from whole-genome shotgun sequencing using Illumina Solexa technology. The sequence, coupled with data from comprehensive transcriptomic survey analyses, indicated that the redox state and transmembrane transport might be critical molecular mechanisms for the adaptation of A. glaucus 'CCHA' to the high-salt environment of the saltern. The isolation of salt tolerance-related genes, such as CCHA-2114, and their overexpression in Escherichia coli demonstrated that A. glucus 'CCHA' is an excellent organism for the isolation and identification of salt tolerant-related genes. These data expand our understanding of the evolution and functions of fungal and microbial genomes, and offer multiple target genes for crop salt-tolerance improvement through genetic engineering. Jilin Boluo lake wetland nature reserve is located in the northwest of Changchun city; the reserve has rich biodiversity and unique wetland water resources to develop eco-tourism. This paper first analyzes the general situation of Jilin Boluo lake wetland nature reserve and its water resources, second analyzes the water-related eco-tourism resources in the reserve, and then analyzes the status quo of eco-tourism development in the reserve on this basis. Third, the status of ecological quality and water resource management in the reserve was evaluated. The accuracy of wind energy resource assessment directly determines the operating income of a wind farm after its construction is completed. Therefore, aiming to meet the requirements of accurate wind resource assessment in areas with a complex terrain or those lacking the observation information, this paper proposes a multi-scale coupling numerical simulation method based on atmospheric stability. First, the atmospheric flow field simulation results at the heights of 200 m, 300 m, and 400 m are extracted from the mesoscale Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model and used as inlet boundary conditions of a microscale Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model. Then, to obtain more accurate coupling data at the height of a wind turbine hub, the atmospheric stability parameter is introduced into the multi-scale coupling process, data correction is conducted at the three heights, and a comparison with the observation data of a wind tower is made. Finally, a numerical analysis is conducted using real data of a wind farm in eastern Inner Mongolia and Jilin. The analysis results show that the proposed method can improve the assessing accuracy of wind resources of wind farms using mesoscale data, which is valuable to a certain extent in real-world applications. The Jilin H5 chondrite, the largest known stony meteorite in the world, with its No.1 fragment weighing 1770 kg. It contains submillimeter- to centimeter-sized FeNi metal particles/nodules. Our optical microscopic and electron microprobe analyses revealed that the formation of metal nodules in this meteorite is a complex and long-term process, The early stage is the thermal diffusion-caused migration and concentration of dispersed metallic material along fractures to form root-hair shaped metal grains during thermal metamorphism of this meteorite. The later two collision events experienced by this meteorite led to the further migration and aggregation of metallic material into the shock-produced cracks and openings to form larger-sized metal grains. The shock-produced shear movement and frictional heating occurred in this meteorite greatly enhanced the migration and aggregation of metallic material to form the large-sized nodules. It was revealed that the metal nodule formation process in the Jilin H5 chondrite might perform in the solid or subsolidus state, and neither melting of chondritic metal grains nor shock-induced vaporization of bulk chondrite material are related with this process. Differentiated nitrogen (N) application styles and dosages can directly affect crop yield and planting costs. To maximize the efficiency of N fertilizer utilization and solve the problem of increasing production without increasing income, the Decision Support Systems for Agrotechnology Transfer (DSSAT) model was used in this study to carry out experiments simulating different N application styles and dosages for potatoes at 15 meteorological observation stations in the northeast region of China during 2013–2017. The present study aims to analyze the relationship among yield, cost, and net gains under different N fertilizer management scenarios by combining the cost-benefit method. The main conclusions are as follows: (1) the staged and incremental application of N fertilizer during the potato growth period can promote a yield increase. The lowest yield was achieved by a one-time basal application of N fertilizer at sowing, and the highest yield was observed when N fertilizer was applied in a 1:1 ratio at sowing and the end of tuber formation, respectively. (2) The range for N fertilizer application to achieve the highest potato yield at each station is 275–330 kg·ha−1. (3) The highest potato yield under sufficient N application treatments did not correspond to the highest net gains. Potato net gains at all stations showed an increasing-then-decreasing trend with the increase in N application. The highest gains were obtained when 220 kg·ha−1, 220 kg·ha−1, and 275 kg·ha−1 of N fertilizer were applied in a 1:1 ratio as a basal fertilizer and supplementary fertilizer at sowing, and the end of tuber formation in Heilongjiang, Jilin, and Liaoning provinces, respectively. This study provides a reference program for potato planting with the highest benefits for regional governments, farmers, and enterprises and aims to improve the status quo of potato planting, increasing production without increasing income. China features the second largest irrigation area in the world. Several modeling studies on a global scale have shown the irrigation impact in China, but no direct observational evidence has been reported. In this paper, we evaluated the impact of irrigation on temperature in Jilin province, China, using meteorological and satellite observations. The results show that the temperature difference between highly and lightly irrigated sites is statistically significant and highly correlated to the effective irrigation area and crop sown area over the past 53 years. The magnitude of the difference in maximum air temperature was almost twice that of the difference in minimum air temperature. The linear regression coefficient of the time series difference in maximum air temperature was more than three times that of the minimum air temperature. Moreover, both meteorological and satellite observations show that the temperature difference is amplified during drier years. The difference in the magnitude of daytime land surface temperature (LST), between areas with irrigation percentages of more than 50 and less than 50, is as high as 2.7 K during the driest year. Soil in western Jilin, China has the properties of a saline soil, seasonal frozen soil, and a dispersive soil, in which the freezing process can induce many engineering and environmental problems, including soil secondary salinization and frost heave. During the freezing process, water, heat, stress, and even solute interact with each other. Water migration plays an important role in this process. In this paper, a sampling point in Nong'an, western Jilin was selected for soil collection and experimental tests. The experiment included two tests: the capillary water test and a water migration test subjected to freezing. The results showed that the height of capillary water is low, while the water migrates obviously after the process of freezing in different conditions. The results indicate that the bound water film hinders the capillary pores, which can impair the matric potential. During the freezing process, the temperature potential and gravitational potential can drive the water to migrate through the bound water film. The Late Palaeozoic Solonker‐Xar Moron‐Changchun‐Yanji Suture (SXCYS) is considered to mark the location of the final closure of the Paleo‐Asian Ocean, which separated the North China Craton to the south and the amalgamated blocks to the north in Northeast China. There has always been controversy about its eastern extension in Northeast China and the final closure time of the Paleo‐Asian Ocean. To explore this issue, we collected gabbro and quartz‐diorite samples in the Hunchun area for the genesis of mafic magma and age dating, and five groups of Permian to Triassic sandstones belonging to both sides of the potential suture locations in the middle and east Jilin Province for the provenance analysis to discuss the final closure time of the Paleo‐Asian Ocean and the possible positions of the eastward termination of the SXCYS. The gabbro reveals a Middle Permian concordia average age of 266.9 ± 5.2 Ma, and the quartz diorite reveals a Late Permian Concordia average age of 258.8 ± 4.8 Ma. Lithological and geochemical analysis reveal the two rock samples belong to low‐K arc tholeiites from the oceanic island and calk‐alkaline volcanics from the active continental margin, respectively, which implies that during the middle to late Permian, the SW margin of the Jiamusi–Khanka Block (JB) continuously experienced the subduction process from the Paleo‐Asian Ocean Plate. The final closure time of the Paleo‐Asian Ocean should be later than the Late Permian. Meanwhile, four groups of sandstone from the east Jilin reveal typically Jiamusi–Mongolia Block (JMB) provenance features, with age components of ~500 Ma, ~0.9–1.5 Ga implying that the Wangqing, Hunchun, Kaishantun area belongs to the northern part of the SXCYS from late Early Permian to Middle Triassic, with youngest age components of 288.2 ± 2.8, 275.5 ± 1.8, 250 ± 1.7, and 244.9 ± 1.7 Ma, respectively. The late Early Permian sandstone from the middle Jilin reveals the youngest age component of 273.8 ± 3.4 Ma and the age component of 487 ± 3 Ma also revealing JMB feature. Comparing to previous studies, we propose that the Paleo‐Asian Ocean finally closed during Middle to Late Triassic. A possible ENE fault separates the eastern extension of SXCYS into two parts, which means the possible position of the eastward extension of the SXCYS should go along the Wangqing‐Kaishantun with NNW direction in the west, Hunchun‐Laoheishan with NW direction in the east. In recent years, as drought intensifies and agricultural water consumption increases, it is of great significance to optimize the irrigation schedule to ensure regional food security. This paper constructs the distributed AquaCrop model and multi-objective genetic algorithm (NSGA - Ⅱ) simulation - optimization (MGSO) model to facilitate the development of a rational irrigation schedule. The distributed AquaCrop model considers the spatial variability of soil, climate, crops, and management practices, which can be batch calibrated using the XGBoost method. The MGSO model is for irrigation schedules under the combination of different Precipitation and ET 0. In this paper, crop yield, ET, and water use efficiency (WUE) were simulated and analyzed in 13 irrigation zones in Northeast China, where the existing irrigation schedules were analyzed and optimized. The results showed that the distributed AquaCrop model could simulate regional crops well. Crop yields in the study area ranged from 3 to 10ton/hm2. The western part of Heilongjiang province and the northern part of Jilin province has a higher yield. The simulation results of Heilongjiang Province are more accurate, and the relative error is minor. The joint distribution model constructed by the Frank Copula function can describe the joint probability distribution characteristics of precipitation and ET 0. According to the simulation results, each typical station has a different performance under the existing irrigation schedule under different situations. The crop yield and WUE of some stations changed significantly. The maximum and minimum yield difference was 22% for Harbin, 32% for Heihe, and 21% for Dunhua. It is mainly due to the irrigation amount in some scenarios that do not meet crop water requirements. The stress path is a critical factor affecting the mechanical properties of saline soils. In order to study the mechanical properties of saline soils under different stress paths, in situ saline soils in the Qian'an area of western Jilin province were selected for this study, and triaxial shear tests under six different stress paths were conducted, including the consolidated undrained triaxial test under the conventional stress path under the isobaric consolidation condition; the consolidated drained triaxial test under the conventional, equal p, reduced p, and increased p stress paths under the isobaric consolidation condition; and the consolidated drained triaxial test under the conventional stress path under the K0 consolidation condition. The effects of the consolidation conditions, drainage conditions, and stress paths on the mechanical properties of in situ saline soils were investigated. The results reveal that the stress–strain relationship curves of soil samples decrease continuously in the order of increased p, conventional, equal p, and decreased p, and they all show the characteristics of strain hardening. The stress path curves have the same slope under the same stress path. For different confining pressures, only the relative positions of the curves are different. Under the conventional stress path, the slope is 1; under the increased p stress path, the slope is 1/3; under the equal p stress path, the slope is 3; and under the decreased p stress path, the slope of the curve is −1. For the same confining pressure, the magnitude relationships of shear strength under the different stress paths are as follows: increased p > conventional > equal p > decreased p. For the cohesion c and internal friction angle φ, the consolidation condition has a greater effect on the cohesion c and a smaller effect on the internal friction angle φ; the drainage condition has a smaller effect on the cohesion c and a larger effect on the internal friction angle φ; and the stress paths have a greater effect on both cohesion c and internal friction angle φ. With the increase in traffic load, the rutting problem of bitumen pavement appears more and more frequently, and the shear resistance of pavement has attracted more and more attention. A polymer-modified bituminous mixture is usually used to solve the problem of insufficient shear resistance in bitumen pavement. However, there are many polymer modifiers for bituminous mixture, which lead to different performances of the modified bituminous mixtures. Currently, the modification methods cannot obtain a bituminous mixture having all types of performance simultaneously. Therefore, considering the different performances and economics of modified bituminous mixtures, it is necessary to determine an optimal modification method for bitumen pavement. This study used a toll plaza in Jilin province, which is a seasonally frozen region. On this section of road, vehicles start and brake at high frequency, and the bitumen middle course suffers from large shearing forces. Therefore, permanent deformation is the main form of failure. In addition, low-temperature cracking of the bitumen pavement is also a very severe issue in this region. Four kinds of bituminous mixture modification schemes were selected and tested, and the pavement performance of these modified bituminous mixtures was evaluated. The fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method was used to quantitatively evaluate the performance level of bituminous mixtures according to fuzzy logic theory. Using the actual situation of the bituminous mixture used in the toll plaza, and based on the analytic hierarchy process method, the weight matrix of each service attribute was established. Here, the weight of each index was calculated by combining the entropy weight (EW) method, reducing the influence of subjective factors. According to the evaluation result of the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model, it could be seen that the modified bituminous mixture (70#+M) had the best overall performance compared to the other bituminous mixtures. Maize is a crucial cereal crop in China, serving both as a staple food and an essential industrial resource. Northern corn leaf blight (NCLB) is a disease of corn caused by a fungus, Exserohilum turcicum (sexual stage Setosphaeria turcica). This study aimed to assess the biocontrol potential of various Trichoderma strains against Exserohilum turcicum 101 in Jilin, China. Through dual culture tests, the Trichoderma strains were categorized into four groups based on their antagonistic abilities. Eleven Trichoderma strains exhibited strong antagonistic behavior, with comparable or faster growth rates than E. turcicum 101. Microscopic observations confirmed that T. asperellum 576 hyphae effectively encircled E. turcicum 101 hyphae, reinforcing their antagonistic behavior. The production of non-volatile and volatile substances by the Trichoderma strains was evaluated, with T. asperellum 576 showing the highest potency in producing non-volatile and volatile substances, leading to an impressive 80.81% and 65.86% inhibition of E. turcicum 101 growth. Remarkably, co-culture suspensions of T. asperellum 576 + E. turcicum 101 and T. atroviride 393 + E. turcicum 101 exhibited strong antifungal activity. Furthermore, the activities of chitinase, β-1.3-glucanase, and cellulase were evaluated using the 3, 5-dinitrosalicylic acid (DNS) method. T. asperellum 576 + E. turcicum 101 displayed stronger cell wall degradation enzyme activity compared to T. atroviride 393 + E. turcicum 101, with values of 8.34 U/mL, 3.42 U/mL, and 7.75 U/mL, respectively. In greenhouse conditions, the application of a 107 spores/mL conidia suspension of T. asperellum 576 significantly enhanced maize seed germination and plant growth while effectively suppressing E. turcicum 101 infection. Maize seedlings inoculated/treated with both E. turcicum 101 and T. asperellum 576 demonstrated substantial improvements compared to those inoculated solely with E. turcicum 101. The T. asperellum 576 treatment involved a 107 spores/mL conidia suspension applied through a combination of foliar spray and soil drench. These findings highlight T. asperellum 576 as a promising biocontrol candidate against northern leaf blight in maize. Its antagonistic behavior, production of inhibitory compounds, and promotion of plant growth all contribute to its potential as an effective biocontrol agent for disease management. In many nations, efforts to prevent and control COVID-19 have been significantly impeded by the SARS-CoV-2 virus ongoing mutation. The Omicron strain, a more recent and prevalent strain, has had more significant detrimental effects in countries worldwide. To investigate the impact of the Omicron BA.2 strain on vaccine efficacy, we proposed a model with vaccination and immunological decline in this research. Then, we fitted our model based on the number of daily new instances reported by the government in Jilin and Shanghai, China. We estimated the effective reproduction number Re = 4.71 for the Jilin and Re = 3.32 for Shanghai. Additionally, we do sensitivity analysis to identify the critical factors affecting the effective reproduction number Re. It was found that vaccination rate, effectiveness rate, and declining rate had a significant effect on Re. Further, we investigate the relevant parameter thresholds that make Re lower than unity. Finally, rich numerical experiments were then carried out. We observed that even when vaccine efficiency was not high, increasing vaccination rates had a significant effect on early disease transmission, that limiting social distance was the most economical and rational measure to control the spread of disease, and that for a short period, reducing immune decline was not significant in curbing disease transmission. For very-high-resolution (VHR) remote sensing images with complex objects and rich textural information, multi-difference image fusion has been proven as an effective method to improve the performance of change detection. However, errors are superimposed during this process and a single spectral feature cannot fully utilize the correlation between pixels, resulting in low robustness. To overcome these problems and optimize the performance of multi-difference image fusion in change detection, we propose a novel multi-difference image fusion change detection method based on a visual attention model (VA-MDCD). First, we construct difference images using change vector analysis (CVA) and spectral gradient difference (SGD). Second, we use the visual attention model to calculate multiple color, intensity and orientation features of the difference images to obtain the difference saliency images. Third, we use the wavelet transform fusion algorithm to fuse two saliency images. Finally, we execute the OTSU threshold segmentation algorithm (OTSU) to obtain the final change detection map. To validate the effectiveness of VA-MDCD on VHR images, two datasets of Jilin 1 and Beijing 2 are selected for experiments. Compared with classical methods, the proposed method has a better performance with fewer missed alarms (MA) and false alarms (FA), which proves that the method has a strong robustness and generalization ability. The F-measure of the two datasets is 0.6671 and 0.7313, respectively. There are complex pore structures in shale reservoirs, and the nonlinear flow characteristics of shale reservoirs are complicated by stress sensitivity and boundary layer effects. In this research, a new flow mathematical model was established based on capillary model, stress sensitivity and boundary layer effect. The model was verified by the experimental results of Jilin shale oil reservoir, and the influencing factors of flow characteristics were analyzed. The results show that the new shale oil flow model has good fitting and high reliability with the experimental results. The boundary layer effect and stress sensitivity are the main factors affecting the seepage characteristics. With the increase in the pressure gradient, the influence of the boundary layer effect on the flow is gradually enhanced, and the influence of the stress sensitivity on the flow is gradually weakened. At the same time, this study developed a method for the evaluation of effective displacement distance of shale oil reservoir with CO2 injection through the limited injection-production well spacing method, and obtained the nonlinear flow curve of displacement distance with reservoir permeability under different injection and production pressure difference. Renewable energy is the inevitable choice for the sustainable development of society and economy. How to select the most appropriate renewable energy for a region is a complex multi-criterion decision making (MCDM) problem. Taking Jilin Province as an example, this paper proposes a new MCDM method. In order to better express the hesitancy, inconsistency and uncertainty of decision makers’ preferences, linguistic hesitant fuzzy set (LHFS) is proposed. On the basis of cloud model, the rule of transforming LHFS to quantitative values is defined. Subsequently, the distance measure and support measure are established. In consideration of the interdependency of criteria, an LHFS aggregation operator based on improved Choquet integral is proposed. Finally, the ranking result of the aggregated LHFS corresponding to each renewable energy alternative is obtained according to the expectation values. The result shows that the preferred renewable energy for Jilin is biomass energy, followed by wind energy, hydro energy and solar energy. The perennial herbal medicine species Aconitum tschangbaischanense, is endemic to Changhai Mountain, Jilin province. In this study, we attempted to uncover the complete chloroplast (cp) genome of A. tschangbaischanense based on sequencing data using the Illumina sequencing technology. As per the results: (1) the length of its complete cp genome is 155,881 bp with a typical tetrad structure; (2) the structure of its cp genome contains large single-copy and small single-copy (LSC and SSC) regions of 86,351 and 16,9444 bp, respectively, isolated by two inverted repeat regions (IRs) of 26,293 bp; (3) we annotated a total 131 genes, consisting of 86 protein-coding genes, eight rRNA genes, and 37 tRNA genes. According to the maximum-likelihood phylogenetic tree based on complete cp genomes, A. tschangbaischanense, showed close association with A. carmichaelii, which belongs to clade I. Panax ginseng is a valuable medicinal herb of the Araliaceae family with various pharmacological activities. The Trihelix transcription factors family is involved in growth and secondary metabolic processes in plants, but no studies have been reported on the involvement of Trihelix genes in secondary metabolic processes in ginseng. In this study, weighted co-expression network analysis, correlation analysis between PgGTs and ginsenosides and key enzyme genes, and interaction network analysis between PgGTs and key enzyme genes were used to screen out the PgGT25-04 gene, which was negatively correlated with ginsenoside synthesis. Using ABA treatment of ginseng hair roots, PgGT genes were found to respond to ABA signals. Analysis of the sequence characteristics and expression pattern of the PgGT25-04 gene in ginseng revealed that its expression is spatiotemporally specific. The interfering vector pBI121-PgGT25-04 containing the PgGT25-04 gene was constructed, and the ginseng adventitious roots were transformed using the Agrobacterium-mediated method to obtain the pBI121-PgGT25-04 positive hairy root monocot line. The saponin contents of positive ginseng hair roots were measured by HPLC, and the changes in PgGT25-04 and key enzyme genes in positive ginseng hair roots were detected via fluorescence quantitative RT-PCR. These results preliminarily identified the role of the PgGT25-04 gene in the secondary metabolism of ginseng in Jilin to provide a theoretical basis for the study of Trihelix transcription factors in Panax ginseng. Artificial light at night (ALAN) has positive and negative effects on social, economic, environmental, and ecological systems, and will increase with urban expansion. In this study, we used a multi-spectral 1.5 m resolution night-time acquisition from a Jilin-1 satellite over the city of Quito, Ecuador, to evaluate spatial lighting patterns in an expanding and topography complex-built environment. We demonstrated a requirement for robust georeferencing and orthorectification due to the complex topography, with errors on the order of 4–6 pixels (5.8–8.4 m CE95). We also quantified differences in observed brightness due to the image acquisition and local geometry. Street light type was distinguishable between high-pressure sodium (HPS) and light emitting diode (LED) sources (F1-score = 0.72–0.83) using a shark random forest decision tree approach. Additionally, street lights could be located within 10 m (F1-score = 0.71) with balanced omissions and commissions. Spatial trends revealed that the road network was the dominant source of illumination, accounting for 45% of illuminated pixels, whereas built-up areas accounted for 23%. Overall, 68% of all illuminated pixels were on or within 10 m of the road. Higher socio-economic development was associated with higher proportions of LED lighting, greater road network lighting and density of street lights, higher overall radiance for built-up areas and the road network, and greater coverage and illumination of designated green spaces. The broad impacts of ALAN mean that addressing the causes and consequences of lighting inequalities is a complex issue. Nonetheless, Jilin-1 night-time imagery offers a low-cost way to map and monitor light sources at high-resolution that will be beneficial to city-planners and progressing Sustainable Development Goals. Image acquisition geometry affects the observed radiance and would require consideration when evaluating spatial and temporal trends. Jilin-1 night-time satellite imagery offers a low-cost mechanism to map and monitor light sources at high-resolution that is sufficient to identify individual sources such as street lights, buildings, and recreational spaces. Radiance intensity was correlated with the degree of socio-economic development. In the higher socio-economic classes, we observed higher proportions of LED lighting, greater road network lighting and density of street lights, higher overall radiance for built-up areas and the road network, and greater coverage and illumination of designated green spaces. Geological disaster causes loss of lives and damage to man-made and natural stuctures. In this paper, a coupling method with optimal combination weighing law and extension model was established. Based on dynamic impact factors such as forest coverage, annual average rainfall, topography and gemorphogy, geologic structure, and type of rock and soil, the amount of disaster points and human engineering activities, we chose Jilin Province in China as the case study area. We made a spatial analysis and drew a geological disaster susceptibility zonation map using GIS technology. In addition, we established a geological disaster forecast and early-warning model. The results are as follows: 1) the couple method is an innovative and significant exploration, 2) geological disaster susceptibility zones in Jilin Province were divided into four areas, and 3) the forecasting and early warning model has a relatively high accuracy of forecast and early warning. Water distribution systems (WDSs) need to be resilient against seismic hazards to ensure rapid recovery of the community following an earthquake. Topology-based resilience metrics are often used to determine the system-level performance of WDSs. However, existing topology-based resilience metrics are unable to estimate seismic performance of WDSs accurately because they do not account for the vulnerability of pipelines in the metrics. This study tailored an existing topological metric and developed a new edge-betweenness-based topological metric for evaluating the seismic resilience of a complex water distribution network. System-level performance of WDSs is compared using four performance measures including minimum cut set (MCS)–based system reliability, topological resilience metric (TRM), modified TRM, and the newly developed edge-betweenness-based TRM. These metrics were applied for four WDSs (i.e., Anytown, New York Tunnel, Jilin, and Bellingham WDSs) with unique characteristics to validate their effectiveness in estimating the seismic performance of WDSs against seismic hazards. The outcomes of these applications show that the proposed TRM can be used to determine pipelines' seismic performance and functionality after an earthquake with an acceptable accuracy compared with existing approaches. While the topology-based resilience analysis provides information about system-level functionality, it is also vital to determine an optimal recovery sequence for damaged WDSs to maximize the functionality during the recovery process. Therefore, an easy-to-use recovery strategy is proposed to determine the optimal recovery sequence based on a repair index. The optimal recovery strategy was tested for the recovery procedure for the damaged Anytown WDS due to an earthquake, and outcomes show the system functionality is restored quickest using the proposed optimal recovery strategy. Drought and floods affect the growth and yield of maize, affecting food security. Therefore, it is crucial to assess maize's drought and waterlogging status in various growth stages. We used phenological and daily meteorological data and spatial analysis to identify the drought and waterlogging conditions of spring maize in Northeast China in eight growth stages. We calculated the crop water surplus/deficit index and used the national standard for maize drought and waterlogging. The results indicate a significant decreasing trend of effective precipitation in Northeast China. The maize's water requirements changed during the growing period. The ranking of the daily water requirements of maize from high to low in the different growth stages was the flowering stage to the silking stage (6.9 mm/d), the tasseling stage to the flowering stage (6.1 mm/d), the jointing stage to the tasseling stage (4.9 mm/d), the seven-leaf stage to the jointing stage (3.4 mm/d), the silking stage to the harvesting stage (2.0 mm/d), the emergence stage to the three-leaf stage (1.4 mm/d), the three-leaf stage to the seven-leaf stage (1.3 mm/d), and the sowing stage to the emergence stage (1.2 mm/d). Drought occurred primarily in the early growth and development stage, and the most severe drought conditions were observed in the sowing to emergence stages and the emergence to the three-leaf stages in most areas in Northeast China. Waterlogging occurred predominantly in the flowering to the silking stages and the silking to the maturity stages in southeast Liaoning and parts of Jilin. Inner Mongolia had the lowest soil moisture conditions and was unsuitable for maize growth, followed by Heilongjiang, Jilin, and Liaoning. The dominant meteorological factors affecting the drought and waterlogging status of maize in different growth stages were precipitation and wind speed, followed by the minimum temperature, relative humidity, sunshine hours, and maximum temperature. The average temperature did not influence the drought and waterlogging status. The results provide a basis for selecting drought-resistant varieties and preventing waterlogging. Understanding and prediction of mercury (Hg) phytoavailability in vegetable–soil systems is essential for controlling food chain contamination and safe vegetable production as Hg-contaminated soils pose a serious threat to human health. In this study, four typical Chinese soils (Heilongjiang, Chongqing, Yunnan, and Jilin) with varied physicochemical properties were spiked with HgCl2 to grow sweet pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) in a pot experiment under greenhouse condition. The chemical fractionation revealed a significant decrease in exchangeable Hg, while an increase in organically bound Hg in the rhizosphere soil (RS) compared to bulk soil (BS). This observation strongly highlights the vital role of organic matter on the rhizospheric Hg transformation irrespective of contamination levels and soil properties. Stepwise multiple linear regression (SMLR) analysis between Hg concentration in plants, Hg fractions in RS and BS, and soil properties showed that Hg in plant parts was significantly influenced by soil total Hg (THg) (R2 = 0.90), soil clay (R2 = 0.99), amorphous manganese oxides (amorphous Mn) (R2 = 0.97), amorphous iron oxides (amorphous Fe) (R2 = 0.70), and available Hg (R2 = 0.97) in BS. Nevertheless, in the case of RS, Hg accumulation in plants was affected by soil THg (R2 = 0.99), amorphous Mn (R2 = 0.97), amorphous Fe oxides (R2 = 0.66), soil pH, and organically bound Hg fraction (R2 = 0.96). Among all the evaluated soils (n = 04), metal (mercury) concentration in terms of plant uptake was reported highest in the Jilin soil. Based on SMLR analysis, the results suggested that the phytoavailability of Hg was mainly determined by THg and metal oxides regardless of the rhizospheric effect. These findings facilitate the estimation of Hg phytoavailability and ecological risk that may exist from Hg-contaminated areas where pepper is the dominant vegetable. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In recent years, China and Japan are cooperating in the destruction of the Japanese army abandoned chemical weapons in China (JACWs). During the long-term burial of JACWs, As-containing agents leaked into the environment due to the corrosion of the shell, resulting in soil As pollution. This paper studied the fraction, speciation, and composition of As in the soil polluted by the As-containing agent in Jilin, China. The results showed that As was mainly distributed in the forest soil in the study area, with the highest concentration of 110 mg/kg, and had the trend of migration to the downhill farmland soil. As mainly accumulated in the amorphous Fe/Al oxides bounded fraction and residual states, the proportion of potentially risky fractions in the soil of downhill farmland is higher than that of uphill farmland. The speciation of As in the soil is mainly As(V), with an average content of 25.02 mg/kg. The transformation behavior of As in the horizontal migration of topsoil is mainly the oxidation of As (III). The residual organic As in soil mainly includes 2-chlorovinylarsonic acid, triphenylarsine, phenylarsine oxide, and diphenylarsonic acid. Similar to the influence factors of As, both speciation and organic compounds of As are significantly affected by Fe/Al/Mn-oxides, and degradation and transformation reactions such as redox occur during migration. • As mainly existed in amorphous Fe/Al oxide bound fraction and residual fraction. • The organic-As in soil mainly includes CVAOA, TPA, PAO, and DPAA. • DPAA showed a significant negative correlation with TP, Ca and Mn. Typhoons usually bring natural disasters and economic losses. Satellite-based vegetation monitoring approaches largely improve our understanding of monitoring and assessing the area damaged by typhoons at high temporal and spatial scales, but it is still unclear which approach could achieve a greater robustness in assessing typhoon damages. From August 27 to September 8, 2020, three typhoons of Bavi, Maysak, and Haishen successively passed through the Northeast China, covering Liaoning, Jilin, and Heilongjiang provinces, and caused great damages to local vegetation and crops. Here, we employed two top-recognized approaches, i.e., the Normalized Difference Infrared Index (NDII) and the Disturbance Index (DI) derived from the moderate-resolution imaging spectroradiometer, to assess impacts three typhoons of Northeast China on the local vegetation and crops. With the help of Google Earth high-resolution images, this study demonstrated that the DI-based assessment gave a more accurate performance with an overall accuracy of 83% compared with NDII in typhoon-induced damages. DI was therefore used for spatial monitoring and assessment of three typhoon impacts. The DI-based results revealed that the damaged area of vegetation and crops in Northeast China was over 1.24 × 105 km2, including croplands, forests, and grasslands with the damaged area of 4.74 × 104 km2 (38.23% of total damaged area), 3.41 × 104 km2 (27.5%), and 0.12 × 104 km2 (0.97%), respectively. The damaged proportions were 14.13%, 13.19%, and 3.11% accounting for croplands, forests, and grasslands, respectively, of entire Northeast China. After long-term accumulation, weathering and rainfall of metals and non-metals in tailings ponds, the chemical composition will change, and the surface heavy metals may gradually migrate to the bottom layer, thus showing a cumulative effect. At present, the distribution of cyanide and heavy metals in vertical space has not been reported. In this work, 12 sampling points were arranged for a cyanide tailings pond by the grid method in Jilin, China. The contents of cyanide and heavy metals were determined according to the standard method. The results show that the heavy metals in the tailings were mainly Cu, Pb, Zn and Mn (342.83 mg/kg, 571.09 mg/kg, 610.15 mg/kg and 796.63 mg/kg, respectively), and the concentration of heavy metals in the horizontal direction does not change significantly. It should be noted that the concentrations of zinc and manganese did not change much in the vertical direction. The concentration of copper and lead increased with the increase in depth. The concentration of cyanide at the sampling site far away from human activities was higher at 6.71 mg/kg, and the average concentration is 2.5 mg/kg. In addition, because the cyanide is unstable and affected by factors such as light and rainfall, the concentration change in the vertical direction fluctuates. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The soil microbial community is highly sensitive to the soil environment and can reflect changes in soil quality and soil ecosystem health. To clarify the differences in microbial structure and the effect of environmental factors on soil microbial communities in different ecological regions in Golden Maize Belt China, 72 corn soils were collected in three ecological zones (eastern, central, and western) in Jilin province. The chemical properties and enzyme content were measured. High-throughput sequencing was adopted to calculate the microbial diversity and analyze the microbial structure of soil fungi and bacteria. The environmental influencing factors were found by canonical correlation analysis. The results showed that the soil pH of the eastern, central, and western regions is 5.3, 6.2, and 7.9, respectively. Soil fertility declined from east to west. The content of urease and sucrase in the soil in the west was the highest at 48.11 mg/g·d and 119.23 mg/g·d , respectively. Soil phosphatase content was closely related to soil pH. The abundance of fungal and bacterial communities displayed a downward trend from west to east. Ascomycota is the dominant flora of soil fungi, and Actinobacteria is the dominant flora of soil bacteria. The Ascomycota and Actinobacteria showed a positive correlation with loam. The accumulated and annual average temperatures in environmental factors had the most significant influence on the structure of the soil fungal. Soil pH, alkali hydrolyzed nitrogen, and rainfall were the main factors affecting the soil bacteria. Our findings emphasize that climatic conditions significantly impact soil fungi and bacteria.
