EARNED value management , *ARTIFICIAL neural networks , *CONSTRUCTION project management , *CONSTRUCTION industry , *BAYESIAN analysis - Abstract
During construction, uncontrolled resources impact project performance. Earned Value Management (EVM) is a widespread method used for project management based on time and cost control. Advances in Information Technology (IT) provide options to improve the EVM method. The EVM is a project-level method that excludes detailing the behavior of project parameters at the level of construction operations, they are handled in aggregated economic terms over time. Thus, this work studies the improvement of EVM using IT to express the handling of operational variables. This article uses a road construction project as a case study, to evaluate three approaches (i.e., Bayesian Network (BN), Artificial Neural Network (ANN), and Hybrid EVM-ANN) as improvement options for the EVM method. It was found that the ANN provides the best improvement of EVM results. The use of ANN and project parameters improves the handling of EVM. By mayor forecast effectiveness, is expected to improve the quality and availability of data for decision making, a condition which in turn may improve agility and adaptability of the project as-built outcomes. The model EVM-ANN uses parameters that influence project implementation completion, making it easier to assess project time performance based on various conditions in the field so that the project can obtain the best strategy to ensure project completion on time.

The experience of three technology-based innovation processes is presented, applying design techniques and participatory development of technologies, co-creation techniques and agility. The analysis of the three processes accounts for the role that social researchers can play in the scaling and social articulation of the products obtained. And the role that obstacles play in development processes. It highlights the potentialities that Participatory Technology Design methodologies have in the creation of user communities, experimentation in methods with co-creation techniques and how limited agile methodologies are in some cases to create social articulations, which it reduces the possibility of success once the development process is finished. Background: Autism is the most common disease in the spectrum of pervasive developmental disorders. The main reason for this research was to find the effect of eight weeks of braitonic training on the skill behaviors of autistic children. Materials and Methods: The present study was quasi-experimental research in terms of applied purpose and research method, which was conducted as a pre-test and post-test. Therefore, among the statistical population of the present study, which included children with autism symptoms aged 6 to 8 years, who were referred to welfare centers in Tabriz for treatment, 30 people were selected voluntarily and randomly selected in two groups of 15 people who underwent braitonic and control. Before completing the exercises, the Garz questionnaire was completed by parents. The experimental group performed Braitonic exercises under the supervision of a braitonic instructor and a psychologist in one of the multi-purpose halls of Tabriz for two sessions of 45 minutes a week for 2 months. The control group engaged in their daily activities. After the training program (post-test), both experimental and control groups were measured and completed the Garz questionnaire by parents. For inferential analysis of data SPSS 21 software at p=0.05 as a significant level was used. Analysis of variance in repeated measures and t-tests was taken to find data. Results: Findings showed that eight weeks of braitonic training has a significant effect on the coordination, agility and reaction of children with autism. Conclusion: braitonic exercises can have a significant positive effect on the motor skills of autistic children. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: Agility is one of the most important qualities for the military members. The test performed for its evaluation in the Armed Forces is usually carried out on asphalt. The type of surface is an element that can influence the record and the possibility of injury. The objective of this study is to analyze how the surface and its condition affect the test result. Material and method: A descriptive study was carried out with control of a group, made up of 30 students from the Central School of Physical Education. During 2 days, 48 hours apart, they performed the agility-speed test three times on five different surfaces (asphalt, concrete, synthetic, grass and soil) in dry one day and in wet the other. The pause between each set was 9' and between each surface 12'. Three experienced timekeepers recorded the best time spent on each surface. Results: Regarding asphalt, times registered worsened on all surfaces, significantly (p <0.01) on grass (+ 3.6%), wet asphalt (+ 5.64%), polished concrete (+11, 03%) and soil (+ 21.1%), with moderate to large effect sizes (0.44

The objective of this research is to determine the main existing gaps before implementing agile methodologies in IT-SMEs (Information Technology - Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises) with traditional methodology for project management. To this effect, a qualitative approach to the opinions of three managers, two project engineers, and six programmer analysts of a company is proposed, which is based on semi-structured interviews, considering a convenience sample, in order to understand the existing difficulties in the company under study, contrasting this reality through surveys aimed at 29 IT professionals from other organizations. The results of the analysis reveal that the main gaps for the implementation of agile methodologies in SMEs are organizational culture at odds with agility, lack of commitment from management, and resistance to change. It is concluded that the proposal turns out to be effective for understanding the main gaps to be solved before starting the implementation of an agile methodology in an IT-SME, thus allowing the organization to be aligned with agility.

BODY composition , *BODY mass index , *POLICE , *MUSCLE mass , *BODY size , *SKELETAL muscle - Abstract
Regardless of sex or body size, police tasks may require officers to change direction speed (CODS) under occupational loads. The purpose of this study was to investigate body composition and CODS in female and male police cadets in both unloaded and occupationally loaded conditions. Body composition and CODS of 51 female (FPC) and 70 male police cadets (MPC) were assessed. Six body composition indices were used: Body mass index (BMI), percent body fat (PBF), percent of skeletal muscle mass (PSMM), protein fat index (PFI), index of hypokinesia (IH), and skeletal muscle mass index (SMMI). The CODS was assessed by Illinois Agility Test (IAT) and IAT while carrying a 10-kg load (LIAT). An independent sample t-test was used to identify the differences between the sexes. The regression determined associations between body composition and LIAT. The alpha level was set at p < 0.05 a priori. MPC had significantly higher (p < 0.001) BMI, PSMM, PFI and SMMI and lower PBF and IH than FPC. MPC were also faster in IAT and LIAT, carrying lower relative loads that imparted less of an impact on CODS performance. Body composition was strongly associated with the time to complete LIAT (R2 = 0.671, p < 0.001). Difference in relative load and body composition influenced CODS performance in both unloaded and loaded conditions. Thus, optimizing body composition through increasing skeletal muscle mass and reducing fat mass could positively influence unloaded and loaded CODS performance and improve elements of police task performance. - Abstract
Todo ello en un ambiente altamente motivador, en el que se incluyen implementos novedosos en el aula, para la mejora de la motricidad., In this theoretical review, we show that body percussion and neuromotricity are an excellent resource for interdisciplinary work, both in the sciences of physical activity and sport, as well as in music and other areas of knowledge. The BAPNE method (Biomechanics, Anatomy, Psychology, Neuroscience and Ethnomusicology) proposes very specific activities to work, through body percussion, not only cognitive functions and perceptual-motor skills for the internalisation of the body schema, but also basic physical qualities for the improvement of the student's physical condition. The aim of this article is, based on the scientific evidence found regarding the improvement of physical fitness, to propose activities and resources aimed at physical education teachers in secondary education, to work on strength, endurance, agility and speed. All this in a highly motivating environment, in which innovative implements are included in the classroom to improve motor skills.

- Abstract
The experience of three technology-based innovation processes is presented, applying design techniques and participatory development of technologies, co-creation techniques and agility. The analysis of the three processes accounts for the role that social researchers can play in the scaling and social articulation of the products obtained. And the role that obstacles play in development processes. It highlights the potentialities that Participatory Technology Design methodologies have in the creation of user communities, experimentation in methods with co-creation techniques and how limited agile methodologies are in some cases to create social articulations, which it reduces the possibility of success once the development process is finished., Se presenta la experiencia de tres procesos de innovación de base tecnológica aplicando técnicas de diseño y desarrollo participativo de tecnologías, técnicas de co-creación y agilidad.
