Cet article se propose d’inscrire La Pérégrination vers l’Ouest – la première traduction française intégrale du Xiyou ji 西遊記 par André Lévy – dans la longue histoire de l’interprétation, de la traduction et de la réception de ce chef-d’œuvre de la littérature romanesque chinoise en France. La portée de notre étude s’étendra donc depuis les orientalistes tels que Théodore Pavie et Antoine-Pierre-Louis Bazin, aux prêtres jésuites envoyés en Chine comme Léon Wieger et Henri Doré, en passant par le diplomate George Soulié de Morant, ou encore Hsu Sung-nien et Ou Itaï, jeunes étudiants chinois qui avaient fait leurs études à Lyon ou à Paris au cours des années 1920 et 1930, jusqu’à George Deniker et Louis Avenol qui nous avaient apporté deux versions françaises concurrentes circulant depuis la Seconde Guerre mondiale : Le Singe pèlerin ou Le Pèlerinage d’Occident (Si-yeou-ki) d’après la traduction anglaise abrégée d’Arthur Waley, Monkey, et celle traduite du chinois mais considérablement réduite, Si Yeou Ki ou Le Voyage en Occident, qui renferme néanmoins cent chapitres. En nous appuyant sur des analyses philologiques, textuelles et traductologiques, nous chercherons à esquisser un panorama de la traduction et la réception du Xiyou ji en France, à restituer de l’histoire un schéma cognitif au sujet du roman composé par toutes formes de présentations, tout en examinant de près les travaux d’André Lévy à l’égard de ce chef-d’œuvre romanesque de la littérature mondiale. This article intends to place La Pérégrination vers l’Ouest – the first complete French translation of the Xiyou ji by André Lévy – into the long history of the interpretation, translation, and reception of this masterpiece of the Chinese fictional literature in France. The scope of our study will therefore extend from Orientalists such as Théodore Pavie and Antoine-Pierre-Louis Bazin, to Jesuits sent to China such as Léon Wieger and Henri Doré, via the diplomat George Soulié de Morant, or Hsu Sung-nien and Ou Itaï, young Chinese students who had studied in Lyon or Paris during the 1920s and 1930s, to George Deniker and Louis Avenol who had brought us two competing French versions circulating since the Second World War: Le Singe pèlerin ou Le Pèlerinage d’Occident (Si-yeou-ki) from Arthur Waley’s abridged English translation, Monkey, and that translated from the Chinese but considerably reduced, Si Yeou Ki ou Le Voyage en Occident, which nevertheless contains one hundred chapters. Based on philological, textual and translatological analyses, this article seeks to sketch a panorama of the translation and reception of the Xiyou ji in France, to restore from history a cognitive schema of the novel composed by various forms of presentations, while closely examining the works of André Lévy regarding this fictional masterpiece of world literature.

Nano-ZnO could delay the setting and the hardening of cement pastes but promote the later cement hydration, which made it an ideal inorganic retarder in cement based materials. In this research, properties and structures of fresh and hardened cement pastes containing nano-ZnO (CZ) were tested. Early hydration of CZ was greatly delayed and its early mechanical performances were decreased. However, the 28 days compressive strength of CZ with 0.1 wt% nano-ZnO was slightly higher than that of blank paste. Nano-ZnO was rapidly dissolved in alkaline environment to form the amorphous Zn(OH)2 in the early hydration stage, the deposition of Zn(OH)2 layer on the surface of clinker particles would block the early hydration. With the processing of cement hydration, as-formed Zn(OH)2 would be further reacted with Ca(OH)2 to generate intermediate Ca(Zn(OH)3)2·2H2O, which broke the Zn(OH)2 coatings and promoted the cement hydration in this period. In addition, the coarsening of capillary pores ranged from 5 nm to 50 nm in hardened CZ matrix was observed, which was presumed to be responsible for the autogenous shrinkage reduction of CZ pastes.
