Abstract To explore the static pressure dynamic disaster mechanism of coal-and-gas outburst (CGO) fluid, the self-developed multi-field coupling large-scale physical simulation test system of coal mine dynamic disaster was used to carry out gas outburst and CGO physical simulation tests in straight, L-shaped and T-shaped roadways. The influence of roadway shape on the evolution of static pressure was explored, and the role of pulverized coal in the process of static pressure dynamic disaster was clarified. The results indicated that the static pressure showed a fluctuating downward trend during the outburst process. When gas outburst, the middle and front parts of the roadway in the straight section roadway were the most serious areas of static pressure disasters in the three shapes of roadways. The duration and range of high static pressure disaster in L-shaped roadway were larger than those in T-shaped and straight roadways in turn. When CGO, the most serious area of static pressure disaster in L-shaped and T-shaped roadways moved backward to the middle of the straight section roadway, and there was a rebound phenomenon in the process of static pressure fluctuation decline, which showed the pulse characteristics of CGO. During the outburst, the static pressure dynamic disaster hazard of L-shaped roadway was higher than that of T-shaped roadway, and the static pressure at the bifurcation structure decayed faster than that at the turning structure, which indicated that T-shaped roadway was more conducive to the release of static pressure in roadway, thus reduced the risk of static pressure disaster. When gas outburst, the static pressure attenuation of the fluid in the roadway before and after the turning and bifurcation structure was greater than that of CGO. The peak static pressure and impulse of the fluid during gas outburst were 2 times and 4–5 times that of CGO respectively. The presence of pulverized coal reduced the attenuation of static pressure and the hazard of dynamic disaster, prolonged the release time of energy, and led to the change of the maximum static pressure disaster area.

Abstract Background Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a common and serious condition, particularly among elderly patients. It is associated with high morbidity and mortality rates, further compounded by the need for continuous renal replacement therapy in severe cases. To improve clinical decision-making and patient management, there is a need for accurate prediction models that can identify patients at a high risk of mortality. Methods Data were extracted from the Dryad Digital Repository. Multivariate analysis was performed using least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) logistic regression analysis to identify independent risk factors and construct a predictive nomogram for mortality within 28 days after continuous renal replacement therapy in elderly patients with acute kidney injury. The discrimination of the model was evaluated in the validation cohort using the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC), and calibration was evaluated using a calibration curve. The clinical utility of the model was assessed using decision curve analysis (DCA). Results A total of 606 participants were enrolled and randomly divided into two groups: a training cohort (n = 424) and a validation cohort (n = 182) in a 7:3 proportion. A risk prediction model was developed to identify independent predictors of 28-day mortality in elderly patients with AKI. The predictors included age, systolic blood pressure, creatinine, albumin, phosphorus, age-adjusted Charlson Comorbidity Index (CCI), Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation II (APACHE II) score, and sequential organ failure assessment (SOFA) score. These predictors were incorporated into a logistic model and presented in a user-friendly nomogram. In the validation cohort, the model demonstrated good predictive performance with an AUC of 0.799. The calibration curve showed that the model was well calibrated. Additionally, DCA revealed significant net benefits of the nomogram for clinical application. Conclusion The development of a nomogram for predicting 28-day mortality in elderly patients with AKI receiving continuous renal replacement therapy has the potential to improve prognostic accuracy and assist in clinical decision-making.

Abstract Accurately predicting and selecting patients who can benefit from targeted or immunotherapy is crucial for precision therapy. Trophoblast cell surface antigen 2 (Trop2) has been extensively investigated as a pan-cancer biomarker expressed in various tumours and plays a crucial role in tumorigenesis through multiple signalling pathways. Our laboratory successfully developed two 68Ga-labelled nanobody tracers that can rapidly and specifically target Trop2. Of the two tracers, [68Ga]Ga-NOTA-T4, demonstrated excellent pharmacokinetics in preclinical mouse models and a beagle dog. Moreover, [68Ga]Ga-NOTA-T4 immuno-positron emission tomography (immunoPET) allowed noninvasive visualisation of Trop2 heterogeneous and differential expression in preclinical solid tumour models and ten patients with solid tumours. [68Ga]Ga-NOTA-T4 immunoPET could facilitate clinical decision-making through patient stratification and response monitoring during Trop2-targeted therapies.

In response to the problems of low strength and high permeability of coal materials in the current physical simulation test of coal mine gas dynamics, a set of experimental research methods for optimizing the molding conditions of hot-pressed briquette. Firstly, a hot-pressed briquette test system was independently established and the advantages and future improvement directions of the test system were summarized. At the same time, based on the Horsfield dense stacking theory, the optimal preparation plan for coal briquette materials was formulated. Finally, a molding condition optimization method was developed that combines the Markov distance measurement method and the golden section method. To verify the effectiveness of the experimental method, the secondary carbonization experiments of briquette were conducted under different molding pressure conditions by controlling the molding temperature to 311.8 ℃, heating rate to 5 ℃/min, and holding time to 5.3 h. The response characteristics of the microstructure, physical and mechanical properties, and permeability characteristics of the hot-pressed briquette under different molding pressure conditions were studied. The results show that with the increase of molding pressure, the total porosity gradually decreases, and the uniaxial compressive strength shows a trend of first increasing and then decreasing. The main forms of failure are block spalling and longitudinal fracture. The initial permeability shows a trend of first decreasing and then increasing, while the minimum permeability shows a trend of first decreasing, then increasing and then decreasing. Using the specific values of each molding condition as the test points, and the key parameters of hot-pressed coal and raw coal as the evaluation parameters, a sample matrix was constructed to calculate the Mahalanobis distance between hot-pressed briquette and raw coal under each molding condition, and then optimize the experimental interval using the golden section method. The optimized final molding pressure is 80 MPa. Under these molding conditions, the density, uniaxial compressive strength, and initial permeability of the hot-pressed briquette produced are 1.137 g/cm3, 12.21 MPa, and 1.32 × 10−15 m2, respectively. They are highly similar to the 1.132 g/cm3, 12.83 MPa, and 1.08 × 10−15 m2 of the raw coal, achieving the goal of improving the strength of the briquette and reducing the permeability of the briquette.

Abstract Falls constitute a leading cause of unintentional injury deaths among older adults. This study aimed to examine the comprehensive characteristics of fatal falls among older individuals in Yunnan Province, China, to highlight the challenges faced in elderly care. A total of 22,798 accidental fall-related deaths were extracted from China's National Disease Surveillance Points System aged 60 and above between 2015 and 2019. Quantitative and textual data were analyzed to assess the incidence rates of initiating factors, locations, symptoms, and overall survival (OS) outcomes after falling. Abstract Background Potassium bismuth citrate is a gastric mucosal protector and a key drug for treating peptic ulcers. Objective To evaluate the pharmacokinetic characteristics and safety of 120-mg bismuth potassium citrate formulations administered orally under fasting conditions in healthy Chinese subjects. Method A single-center open two-cycle trial was conducted on 12 healthy subjects who received a single oral dose of 120 mg of bismuth potassium citrate. The plasma concentration of bismuth was determined using a validated inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP‒MS) method. The pharmacokinetic parameters, including maximum serum concentration (C max) and area under the curve concentration–time curve (AUC0–t and AUC0–∞ ), and safety were evaluated via noncompartment analysis. Results The ratios of the least square geometric mean ratio between the test (T) and reference (R) formulations for C max, AUC0–t , and AUC0–∞ were 44.8%, 55.5%, and 64.4%, respectively; the bilateral 95% confidence intervals (Cis) for these parameters were 20.2–99.6%, 24.1–127.5%, and 23.7–175.0%, respectively, and the non-inferior limits for these parameters were 169.4%, 198.8%, and 200.5%, respectively. The upper limits of the one-sided 97.5% confidence interval for the least squares geometric mean ratio (T/R) were lower than the non-inferior limits. No serious adverse reactions or adverse reactions leading to detachment were observed among the subjects. Conclusion The concentration of bismuth in the blood of healthy subjects in the T formulation was not greater than that in the R formulation. Similarly, the safety of oral administration of 120 mg of bismuth potassium citrate formulations to healthy subjects was good. The trial registration number (TRN) was [2018] 013, 6 December 2018.

Summary: The resected pⅢA-N2 non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients who could benefit from postoperative radiotherapy (PORT) are not well-defined. The study explored the role of PORT on EGFR mutant and wild-type NSCLC patients. We retrospectively searched for resected pIIIA-N2 lung adenocarcinoma patients who underwent EGFR mutation testing. 80 patients with EGFR wild-type and 85 patients with EGFR mutation were included. 62 patients received PORT. In overall population, the median disease-free survival (DFS) was improved in PORT arm compared to non-PORT arm (22.9 vs. 16.1 months; p = 0.036), along with higher 2-year locoregional recurrence-free survival (LRFS) rate (88.3% vs. 69.3%; p = 0.004). In EGFR wild-type patients, PORT was associated with a longer median DFS (23.3 vs. 17.2 months; p = 0.044), and a higher 2-year LRFS rate (86.8% vs. 61.9%; p = 0.012). In EGFR mutant patients, PORT was not significantly correlated with improved survival outcomes. EGFR wild-type may a biomarker to identify the cohort that benefits from PORT.

This paper conducted an experimental study on the heat transfer performance of pulsating heat pipe (PHP) under three different working fluids: ultrapure water, n-butanol self-rewetting fluid (SRWF), and self-rewetting Fe3O4-nanofluid (SRNF). The effects of filling ratio (FR), heating power, and magnetic field are studied. The results mainly show that the PHP with SRNF under a magnetic field, the start-up time increases, the evaporation section operating temperature increases, and the thermal performance decreases as the filling ratio increases. Increasing the FR, applying SRWF and SRNF can effectively increase the dry-out limit of PHP. At FR = 50 %, the overall thermal performance of PHP is best. In 10–130W, the thermal resistance of the SRWF and the SRNF with/without magnetic field is reduced by 14.5 %–27.8 %, 27.6 %–47.9 %, and 4.2 %–24.8 %, respectively, compared with that of ultrapure water. Similarly, compared without a magnetic field, the thermal resistance of SRNF with a magnetic field is reduced by 14.0 %–35.1 %. At FR = 50 %, the heat transfer performance of SRNF-PHP is best with a magnetic field. When the input power is 130W, the effective heat transfer coefficient keff is 5967.6 W/m∙ K, approximately 13.92 times greater than copper.

BackgroundThe National Health Commission and the other relevant departments in China have initiated testing of the Diagnosis Related Groups (DRGs) system in 30 pilot locations since 2019. In the process of DRG payment reform, accounting for the costs of diseases has become a highly challenging issue. The traditional method of disease accounting method overlooks the compensation for the knowledge capital value of medical personnel.ObjectiveThe primary objective of this study is to analyze the cost accounting scheme of China’s Diagnosis Related Groups (C-DRG), focusing on the value of knowledge capital.MethodsThe study initially proposes a measurement index system for the value of knowledge-based capital, including the difficulty of disease treatment, labor intensity of disease treatment, risk of disease treatment, and operation/treatment time for diseases. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is then utilized to weigh the features of medical workers’ knowledge capital value. First, pairwise comparisons are conducted in this stage to develop a two-pair judgment matrix of the primary indicators. Second, the eigenvectors corresponding to the maximum eigenvalues of the matrix are calculated to generate the weight coefficient of each feature. The consistency test is carried out after this stage. An empirical analysis is conducted by collecting data, including the full costs of treating three types of diseases—hip replacement, acute simple appendicitis, and heart bypass surgery—from one public medical institution.ResultsThe empirical analysis examines whether this DRG costing accounting can address the issue of neglecting the value of medical workers’ knowledge capital. The methods reconfigure the positive incentive mechanism, stimulate the endogenous motivation of the medical service system, foster independent changes in medical behavior, and achieve the goals of reasonable cost control.ConclusionIn the cost accounting system of C-DRG, the value of medical workers’ knowledge capital is acknowledged. This acknowledgment not only boosts the enthusiasm and creativity of medical workers in optimizing and standardizing the diagnosis and treatment process but also improves the transparency and authenticity of DRG pricing. This is particularly evident in the optimization and standardization of the diagnosis and treatment processes within medical institutions and in monitoring inadequate medical practices within these institutions.

IntroductionSoil has the highest carbon sink storage in terrestrial ecosystems but human farming activities affect soil carbon deposition. In this study, land cultivated for 70 years was selected. The premise of the experiment was that the soil could be finely categorized by subtype classification. We consider that farming activities affect the soil bacterial community and soil organic carbon (SOC) deposition differently in the three subtypes of albic black soils.MethodsNinety soil samples were collected and the soil bacterial community structure was analysed by high-throughput sequencing. Relative changes in SOC were explored and SOC content was analysed in association with bacterial concentrations. ResultsThe results showed that the effects of farming activities on SOC deposition and soil bacterial communities differed among the soil subtypes. Carbohydrate organic carbon (COC) concentrations were significantly higher in the gleying subtype than in the typical and meadow subtypes. RB41, Candidatus-Omnitrophus and Ahniella were positively correlated with total organic carbon (TOC) in gleying shallow albic black soil. Corn soybean rotation have a positive effect on the deposition of soil carbon sinks in terrestrial ecosystems.DiscussionThe results of the present study provide a reference for rational land use to maintain sustainable development and also for the carbon cycle of the earth.

In experiments, the distributions of mRNA or protein numbers in single cells are often fitted to the random telegraph model which includes synthesis and decay of mRNA or protein, and switching of the gene between active and inactive states. While commonly used, this model does not describe how fluctuations are influenced by crucial biological mechanisms such as feedback regulation, non-exponential gene inactivation durations, and multiple gene activation pathways. Here we investigate the dynamical properties of four relatively complex gene expression models by fitting their steady-state mRNA or protein number distributions to the simple telegraph model. We show that despite the underlying complex biological mechanisms, the telegraph model with three effective parameters can accurately capture the steady-state gene product distributions, as well as the conditional distributions in the active gene state, of the complex models. Some effective parameters are reliable and can reflect realistic dynamic behaviors of the complex models, while others may deviate significantly from their real values in the complex models. The effective parameters can also be applied to characterize the capability for a complex model to exhibit multimodality. Using additional information such as single-cell data at multiple time points, we provide an effective method of distinguishing the complex models from the telegraph model. Furthermore, using measurements under varying experimental conditions, we show that fitting the mRNA or protein number distributions to the telegraph model may even reveal the underlying gene regulation mechanisms of the complex models. The effectiveness of these methods is confirmed by analysis of single-cell data for E. coli and mammalian cells. All these results are robust with respect to cooperative transcriptional regulation and extrinsic noise. In particular, we find that faster relaxation speed to the steady state results in more precise parameter inference under large extrinsic noise.

Dyslipidemia has long been implicated in elevating mortality risk; yet, the precise associations between lipid traits and mortality remained undisclosed. Our study aimed to explore the causal effects of lipid traits on both all-cause and cause-specific mortality. One-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) with linear and nonlinear assumptions was conducted in a cohort of 407,951 European participants from the UK Biobank. Six lipid traits, consisting of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), triglycerides, apolipoprotein A1 (ApoA1), apolipoprotein B (ApoB), and lipoprotein(a), were included to investigate the causal associations with mortality. Two-sample MR was performed to replicate the association between each lipid trait and all-cause mortality. Univariable MR results showed that genetically predicted higher ApoA1 was significantly associated with a decreased all-cause mortality risk (HR[95% CI]:0.93 [0.89–0.97], P value = 0.001), which was validated by the two-sample MR analysis. Higher lipoprotein(a) was associated with an increased risk of all-cause mortality (1.03 [1.01–1.04], P value = 0.002). Multivariable MR confirmed the direct causal effects of ApoA1 and lipoprotein(a) on all-cause mortality. Meanwhile, nonlinear MR found no evidence for nonlinearity between lipids and all-cause mortality. Our examination into cause-specific mortality revealed a suggestive inverse association between ApoA1 and cancer mortality, a significant positive association between lipoprotein(a) and cardiovascular disease mortality, and a suggestive positive association between lipoprotein(a) and digestive disease mortality. High LDL-C was associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease mortality but a decreased risk of neurodegenerative disease mortality. The findings suggest that implementing interventions to raise ApoA1 and decrease lipoprotein(a) levels may improve overall health outcomes and mitigate cancer and digestive disease mortality.

To enhance the temperature control capability of photovoltaic-phase change material systems, a strategy involving the combination of fins and partitioned cavities is employed to enhance the heat transfer process. Thermal performance of four cavity arrangements including a rectangular cavity, a partitioned rectangular cavity, a finned rectangular cavity, and a partitioned rectangular cavity with fins at two tilt angles of 90° and 45° are numerically evaluated. By employing a partitioned cavity with fins, the entire melting time can be reduced by a maximum of 8.9% compared to the baseline case. Moreover, the results show that the individual or simultaneous utilization of the partition and fins at an inclination angle of 90° can not only effectively reduce PV panel temperature but also improve temperature uniformity of the PV panel. Reducing the inclination angle to 45° prolongs the melting time, and this also reduces the temperature control performance for the majority cavity structures. Compared with the baseline case, the temperature of the PV panel can be reduced by up to 5.0 K, and the temperature uniformity can be increased by a maximum of 35.0%. The partitioned cavity coupled with fins has the best overall thermal performance among all structures.

The oxide film on the surface of the grinding wheel plays a very important role in ultrasonic-assisted electrolytic in-process dressing (UA-ELID) grinding. In order to investigate the influence of ultrasonic vibration on the characteristics of oxide film on the surface of grinding wheel in compound grinding, the formation mechanism of oxide film on the surface of grinding wheel under ultrasonic action was analyzed theoretically from two aspects: the change of single grain trajectory caused by ultrasonic vibration and the effect of ultrasonic cavitation. The pre-dressing tests were conducted with different pre-dressing times to observe the oxide layer properties at different pre-dressing stages. The grinding tests were conducted after pre-dressing to verify the grinding performance of oxide layer under different pre-dressing methods. The results show that after the ultrasonic vibration of the grinding wheel is added during electrolytic in-process dressing (ELID) process, the holes and cracks of the oxide film on the surface of the grinding wheel are greatly reduced during the whole pre-dressing process. In addition, the pre-dressing current decreases more stably and the current is smaller when it reaches stability. After the pre-dressing, the thickness of the oxide film is reduced by about 35 % and the hardness is increased by about 70 % compared with the ordinary pre-dressing process. The grinding test results show that the oxide film obtained by ultrasonic vibration of the additional grinding wheel is more conducive to improving the surface quality of the grinding process. Therefore, compared with the ordinary pre-dressing process, the density and uniformity of oxide film on the surface of grinding wheel is better and the hardness is higher after the additional ultrasonic vibration of grinding wheel. It is beneficial to improve the surface quality of workpiece.

To study the influence of asperity angle and normal stiffness on the shear mechanical properties of the structural plane, a direct shear test of the artificial structural plane with constant normal stiffness (CNS) was carried out using the self-developed coal rock shear seepage coupling test system. The results show that the shear stress presents a periodic oscillation attenuation trend when the asperity angles are 15° and 30°. At the end of shearing, the reduction in peak shear stress with the increase of normal stiffness is 1.78, 1.42, 1.36 and 1.27 MPa, respectively, which is gradually decreasing. While the asperity angle is 45°, the shear stress gradually tends to residual strength after reaching the peak shear stress, and there is a one-to-one correspondence between normal displacement evolution and shear stress. With the increase of the asperity angles, the shear stiffness increases gradually. With the increase of normal stiffness, the peak shear stress of structural planes with 15° and 45° asperity angles increases linearly, and when the asperity angle is 30°, it presents the characteristic of piecewise function, but the peak shear dilatancy angle gradually decreases. The failure mode of the structural plane is obtained by analyzing the mass loss before and after shearing, the proportion of debris particle size, and the evolution of three-dimensional morphology parameters. When the fluctuation angles are 15° and 45°, the failure modes are relatively single, namely wear failure and tooth cutting failure. When the fluctuation angle is 30°, the failure mode has a strong and complex dependence on the experimental conditions, mainly including tooth tip shear failure and full tooth cutting failure. By combining the three-dimensional spatial point cloud data of the structural plane with the normal displacement values at the corresponding shear displacement, a simulated cloud map of the structural plane gap width at a specific shear displacement is obtained, which analyzes the dynamic evolution process of the structural plane during the shear process and obtains its failure mechanism.

Surgery is the primary curative treatment of solid cancers. However, its safety has been compromised by the outbreak of COVID-19. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the safety of digestive tract cancer surgery in the context of COVID-19. We used the Review Manager software (v.5.4) and Stata software (version 16.0) for meta-analysis and statistical analysis. Sixteen retrospective studies involving 17,077 patients met the inclusion criteria. The data indicates that performing digestive tract cancer surgery during the COVID-19 pandemic led to increased blood loss(MD = -11.31, 95%CI:-21.43 to −1.20, P = 0.03), but did not increase postoperative complications(OR = 1.03, 95%CI:0.78 to1.35, P = 0 0.86), anastomotic leakage (OR = 0.96, 95%CI:0.52 to1.77, P = 0 0.89), postoperative mortality (OR = 0.65, 95%CI:0.40 to1.07, P = 0 0.09), number of transfusions (OR = 0.74, 95%CI:0.30 to 1.80, P = 0.51), number of patients requiring ICU care(OR = 1.37, 95%CI:0.90 to 2.07, P = 0.14), postoperative 30-d readmission (OR = 0.94, 95%CI:0.82 to 1.07, P = 0 0.33), total hospital stay (MD = 0.11, 95%CI:-2.37 to 2.59, P = 0.93), preoperative waiting time(MD = − 0.78, 95%CI:-2.34 to 0.79, P = 0.33), postoperative hospital stay(MD = − 0.44, 95%CI:-1.61 to 0.74, P = 0.47), total operation time(MD = -12.99, 95%CI:-28.00 to 2.02, P = 0.09) and postoperative ICU stay (MD = − 0.02, 95%CI:-0.62 to 0.57, P = 0.94). Digestive tract cancer surgery can be safely performed during the COVID-19.

Background/purpose: Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) is playing an increasingly important role in the treatment of oral diseases. However, its mechanisms remain to be clarified. This study aimed to investigate the effect of EGCG on oxidative and inflammatory stress and bone loss in experimental periodontitis. Materials and methods: Periodontitis was induced in rats, followed by gavage using different concentrations of EGCG for 5 weeks. The levels of interleukin-1β (IL-1β), interleukin-18 (IL-18), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and malondialdehyde (MDA) in rats were measured. The degree of alveolar bone loss and the number of inflammatory cells were detected. The integrated optical density of nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor (Nrf2), heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1), NLR pyrin domain-containing 3 (NLRP3) and nuclear factor-kappaB p65 (NF-κB p65) was measured. Results: EGCG (200 mg/kg) significantly reduced alveolar bone loss in the ligated maxillary molars and the number of inflammatory cells in the EGCG-200 group compared with the periodontitis, EGCG-100 and EGCG-400 groups. 200 mg/kg was the optimal dose of EGCG and was used in subsequent experiments. The expression levels of IL-1β, IL-18, TNF-α and MDA were significantly lower and the expression level of SOD was significantly higher in the EGCG-200 group compared with the periodontitis group. The expression of NLRP3 and NF-κB p65 was significantly decreased, while the expression of Nrf2 and HO-1 was significantly increased in the EGCG-200 group compared with the periodontitis group. Conclusion: These results suggest that EGCG inhibits oxidative stress and inflammatory responses in the periodontitis model by modulating the Nrf2/HO-1/NLRP3/NF-κB p65 signaling pathway, thereby decreasing alveolar bone loss.

Abstract The asymptotic behavior of solutions for a new class of generalized Halanay inequalities is studied via the fixed point method. This research provides a new approach to the study of the stability of Halanay inequality. To make the application of fixed point method in stability research more flexible and feasible, we introduce corresponding functions to construct an operator according to different characteristics of coefficients. The results obtained in this paper are applied to the stability study of a neural network system, which has high value in application. Moreover, three examples and simulations are given to illustrate the results. The conclusions in this paper greatly improve and generalize the relative results in the current literature.

Ultrafine grained materials often have superior mechanical properties. In order to complement the advantages of other preparation methods of ultrafine materials, a new process of ultrasonic vibration extrusion cutting was proposed to induce severe plastic deformation of materials to prepare ultrafine grained strips with superior mechanical properties. The mathematical model, finite element simulation and cutting test were combined to validate each other. The mapping relationship and influence law among process parameters, physical field parameters, microstructures and mechanical properties were studied. After ultrasonic vibration extrusion cutting, average grain size of material was refined from tens of microns to ultra-fine grain level. With the decrease of extrusion ratio, thickness of nanocrystalline surface layer, degree of grain refinement, average microhardness and tensile strength of strip increase gradually. When extrusion ratio is 1.2, 1.5, 1.8 and 2.1, thickness of nanocrystalline surface layer is 52.9 μm, 44.1 μm, 26.5 μm and 22.8 μm, respectively. Compared with original matrix, average internal microhardness of strip is increased by about 39.9%, 37.6%, 32.8%, 24.1%, and tensile strength is increased by about 306.9%, 273.7%, 254.1%, 240.9%, respectively.

Abstract Aim To explore the nursing workforce allocation in intensive care units (ICUs) of COVID‐19‐designated hospitals during the epidemic peak in China. Design A nationwide cross‐sectional online survey. Methods A total of 37 head nurses and 262 frontline nurses in 37 ICUs of COVID‐19‐designated tertiary hospitals located in 22 cities of China were surveyed. The self‐reported human resource allocation questionnaire was used to assess the nursing workforce allocation. Results The average patient‐to‐nurse ratio was 1.89 ± 1.14, and the median working hours per shift was 5 h. The top four majors of front‐line nurses in ICUs were respiratory (31.30%), lemology (27.86%), intensive care (21.76%) and emergency (17.18%). We also found that a smaller average patient‐to‐nurse ratio (odds ratio [OR]: 0.328, 95% CI: 0.108, 1.000), longer average weekly rest time per person (OR: 0.193, 95% CI: 0.051, 0.729) and larger proportion of 6–9 working years (OR: 0.002, 95% CI: 0.001, 1.121) decreased the occurrence of nursing adverse events.

The study of the dynamic disaster mechanism of coal and gas outburst two-phase flow is crucial for improving disaster reduction and rescue ability of coal mine outburst accidents. An outburst test in a T-shaped roadway was conducted using a self-developed large-scale outburst dynamic disaster test system. We investigated the release characteristics of main energy sources in coal seam, and obtained the dynamic characteristics of outburst two-phase flow in a roadway. Additionally, we established a formation model for outburst impact flow and a model for its flow in a bifurcated structure. The results indicate that the outburst process exhibits pulse characteristics, and the rapid destruction process of coal seam and the blocking state of gas flow are the main causes of the pulse phenomenon. The outburst energy is released in stages, and the elastic potential energy is released in the vertical direction before the horizontal direction. In a straight roadway, the impact force oscillates along the roadway. With an increase in the solid–gas ratio, the two-phase flow impact force gradually increases, and the disaster range extends from the middle of the roadway to the coal seam. In the area near the coal seam, the disaster caused by the two-phase flow impact is characterized by intermittent recovery. In a bifurcated roadway, the effect of impact airflow on impact dynamic disaster is much higher than that of two-phase flow, and the impact force tends to weaken with increasing solid-gas ratio. The impact force is asymmetrically distributed; it is higher on the left of the bifurcated roadway. With an increase in the solid-gas ratio, the static pressure rapidly decreases, and the bifurcated structure accelerates the attenuation of static pressure. Moreover, secondary acceleration is observed when the shock wave moves along the T-shaped roadway, indicating that the bifurcated structure increases the shock wave velocity.

Nutrient fertilizer application to agricultural land has led to greenhouse gas emissions and has altered soil nitrogen (N) deposition. In soil, N can be degraded in four ways: entering surface water through water flow, absorption by plants and microorganisms, decomposition into gas, and deposition as minerals. This study proposes the concept of N degradability and aims to clarify how farming activities affect N degradability in soil. Over 260 soil profiles were excavated, and the effective soil depth, coordinates, soil types, and vegetation were recorded at each measurement point. The following characteristics were determined in the soil samples: pH, organic matter, total N, total phosphorus, total potassium, total soluble N, available phosphorus, and available potassium. The sample characteristics were subjected to Pearson correlation analysis, principal component analysis, and one-way analysis of variance. The 260 samples included four soil types: dark brown soil, black soil, albic black soil, and meadow soil. Black soil exhibited more stable N levels compared with the other three soil types, showing a tendency towards N accumulation. Ground vegetation was categorized into seven types: forest, rice, maize, red adzuki bean, grassland, soybean, and others. Forests contributed the most to N deposition. Conversely, planting maize led to a tendency for N loss compared with forests. This study can provide a reference for the sustainable development of agriculture and the balance of ecological protection.

To gain an in-depth understanding of the diversity and composition of soil Acidobacteria in five different forest types in typical temperate forest ecosystems and to explore their relationship with soil nutrients. The diversity of soil Acidobacteria was determined by high-throughput sequencing technology. Soil Acidobacteria’s alpha-diversity index and soil nutrient content differed significantly among different forest types. β-diversity and the composition of soil Acidobacteria also varied across forest types. Acidobacterial genera, such as Acidobacteria_Gp1, Acidobacteria_Gp4, and Acidobacteria_Gp17, play key roles in different forests. The RDA analyses pointed out that the soil pH, available nitrogen (AN), carbon to nitrogen (C/N) ratio, available phosphorus (AP), total carbon (TC), and total phosphorus (TP) were significant factors affecting soil Acidobacteria in different forest types. In this study, the diversity and composition of soil Acidobacteria under different forest types in a temperate forest ecosystem were analyzed, revealing the complex relationship between them and soil physicochemical properties. These findings not only enhance our understanding of soil microbial ecology but also provide important guidance for ecological conservation and restoration strategies for temperate forest ecosystems.

Calcium ions function as key messengers in the context of intracellular signal transduction. The ability of plants to respond to biotic and abiotic stressors is highly dependent on the calcineurin B-like protein (CBL) and CBL-interacting protein kinase (CIPK) signaling network. Here, a comprehensive effort was made to identify all members of the soybean CBL gene family, leading to the identification of 15 total genes distributed randomly across nine chromosomes, including 13 segmental duplicates. All the GmCBL gene subfamilies presented with similar gene structures and conserved motifs. Analyses of the expression of these genes in different tissues revealed that the majority of these GmCBLs were predominantly expressed in the roots. Significant GmCBL expression and activity increases were also observed in response to a range of stress-related treatments, including salt stress, alkaline stress, osmotic stress, or exposure to salicylic acid, brassinosteroids, or abscisic acid. Striking increases in GmCBL1 expression were observed in response to alkaline and salt stress. Subsequent analyses revealed that GmCBL1 was capable of enhancing soybean salt and alkali tolerance through the regulation of redox reactions. These results offer new insight into the complex mechanisms through which the soybean CBL gene family regulates the responses of these plants to environmental stressors, highlighting promising targets for efforts aimed at enhancing soybean stress tolerance.
