Regular shrinkers describe blow-up limits of a finite-time singularity of the motion by curvature of planar network of curves. This follows from Huisken's monotonicity formula. In this paper, we show that there is only one regular shrinker with 2 closed regions. This regular shrinker is the Cisgeminate eye. Moreover, we find some degenerate regular shrinkers with 2 closed regions.

In the paper published in Duke Math. J. 1993, Y. Wen studied a second-order parabolic equation for inextensible elastic \emph{closed} curves in $\mathbb{R}^{2}$ toward inextensible elasticae. In this article, we extend Wen's result to the case of open inextensible planar curves with hinged ends. We obtain the long time existence of smooth solutions when the initial curves fulfill certain regular conditions.

In this paper, we generalize Colding and Minicozzi's work \cite{CM} on the stability of self-shrinkers in the hypersurface case to higher co-dimensional cases. The first and second variation formulae of the $F$-functional are derived and an equivalent condition to the stability in general codimension is found. Moreover, we show that the closed Lagrangian self-shrinkers given by Anciaux in \cite{An} are unstable., Comment: We in the end of 2010, obtained the same foundation part of the article arXiv:1204.5010v1 by B. Andrews, H. Li and Y. Wei, entitled with "F-stability for self-shrinking solutions to mean curvature flow".
